The Great Scam of the Banks (Warning)

In this livestream Rob Moore frames the modern banking system as a "great scam" that lures people to deposit cash at near‑zero interest, then uses that cash as a liability to lend and invest at high leverage (often 10:1). He argues that banks profit while depositors lose purchasing power because cash is a depreciating asset in an environment of high inflation, quantitative easing, and low rates. Moore blames the lack of financial education in schools for the public’s naïveté, urging viewers to "learn, earn, invest" – i.e., acquire knowledge, generate income, and place surplus funds into income‑producing assets rather than saving. He repeatedly offers a free "toolkit" (articles, checklists, courses) to anyone who types the word in the chat, and promotes his paid membership site (rob.team) that houses courses on investing, social‑media monetisation, and building multiple streams of recurring income. Throughout, he mixes criticism of banks, governments, and the education system with motivational calls to action, urging viewers to share the video, take personal responsibility, and adopt the wealth‑building formula he outlines.

Warning: the great scam of the banking system. Let me ask you this question. If someone you sort of knew and didn't really trust said, hey, give me all your money, and then when you want it, I might give you some back. I won't give you any interest on your money, so you're taking all the risk, and I'm going to lend it out here, there, and everywhere and invest it. I might make some on it, I might lose some on it, and I guarantee zero of the money you give me, but give me all your money. That's what the banks do. The banks know that cash is a liability. The banks don't want to hold cash, but they want your cash. Now, I said the great banking scam because I think it's unfair and inequitable that banks take your money, give you no interest, and then are able to lend and invest it out. But I can't really blame an entity or a company or a corporation for wanting to make the best use of their money or their profit. Like, I can't really blame energy companies for their soaring profits because a company is supposed to make profit and a bank is supposed to make money. But we need to call out, or at least you need to educate yourself on what's really going on in the world. Now I'm going to give you a personal finance lesson that I believe is vitally important, um, through the lens of the banks. So putting the shoe on the other foot, the great banking scam is actually, uh, the great banking genius, because what the banks do is lure you Because they don't incentivize you, by the way. They lure you. Because if interest rates were 5 or 10%, you would have an incentive to give them money. But right now, rates are 1%, and they're not even giving you that full 1%. So they're not incentivizing you to give them your money. They're luring you to give them your money. And then as soon as they have all this cash, they're like, shit, liability, inflation is double digits, interest rates are Really low. Quantitative easing, massive government debt, huge taxation, soaring cost of living. Shit. Cash is a liability. Cash is trash. Here's what we're gonna do. We're gonna lend it and invest it. So we're gonna take the trillions, we're gonna lend it out and invest it out. By the way, we're not gonna guarantee it. Like, if there's a run on a bank, do you think you're getting all your money back? Uh-uh-uh. If there's a run on the bank and the banks run out of money, You're not getting yours back because they don't hold the same amount of cash that they've taken in. So if you're a company and you've taken in a load of sales and you lend or invest or spend it, most of it, you could be insolvent. But governments and banks are almost allowed to be insolvent. Kind of a bit of a scam. One rule for the banks, one rule for us. So the banks will lure in your money, give you no interest, give you no guarantee, and then they'll lend or invest £10 to £1, $10 to $1, because they know that cash is a liability. They know that cash is trash, and they know that to offset inflation and the depreciation of money, they need to invest and get income from assets. But let's look at it another way. Good on you, banks, because you are financially savvy and it's the masses who are dumb. Now that makes me wonder if this is linked to why financial education is not taught in school. Because let me ask you this: how many kids on this planet have been taught that in school, about the banking system and the finance system? You know, in school they're taught to save your money. Your parents teach you to save your money. Save the pennies and the pounds will take care of themselves. No! It's bad education. So you need to learn in order to earn, and then earn in order to invest, and then invest in order to create income. John has said, I think you're on the wrong page for preaching. Um, well, look, you know, I guess you could call me a money evangelist. For me, my, um, personal vision is to help as many people on this planet start and scale their business and get better financial knowledge, especially better financial education. Disrupt the school system. So if you'd like some resources from me for free, simply type toolkit in the chat, because I'm going to use every opportunity I can every day to give you better financial education and knowledge. So if you write toolkit in the comments, I'm going to give you a deep dive article— it was quite a long one that I wrote for a mainstream media publication in the UK on about 30 different ways to save half your living costs. Just to manage and budget your money better. Write toolkit in the comments, I'll give you that completely for free. Also, when you write toolkit in the comments, I'm going to give you access to various courses or public speaking, um, live events, and/or immediately downloadable, um, checklists and documents on starting a business and scaling a business, and on creating multiple streams of recurring income. So if you just type in toolkit in the comments, I'll give you access to all of those. They're immediately downloadable. There's about 6 or 7 different resources essentially on not just surviving but thriving in this cost of living crisis. And then what I do is every week on an ongoing basis, I give you updated financial resources. So this week I just launched my teaching people about the 7 different income streams and how 1 makes you a slave and 6 make you a recurring income. So just write toolkit in the chat. I'll give you that completely for free as a gift from me to you. So beware of the great banking con. And once you've written toolkit in the comments, please share this, because how else are things going to change? So I get stuck in this paradox. Let me know what you think about this. Paradox number 1: if I say nothing about the economy, about the government, about the system, about freedom of speech, if I say nothing about any of that, Nothing changes. But if I keep banging on about that, the government aren't going to listen, Putin's not listening, Boris isn't listening, and nothing's going to change. So if I say nothing, nothing will change, and if I keep banging on about it, then my situation doesn't change. So my thoughts are you've got to take personal responsibility, you've got to educate yourself, but we also need to speak out when we can. And share important messages when we can. So if you could hit the share button right now, I'd be very grateful, because saving money is not how to get wealthy. Saving money will end up making you broke. It's a fact, actually. If you look at the moment, inflation plus 10%, cost of living from 2 years ago has gone up 20 to 25%. So your savings are down 20 to 25% in the last 2 years by saving money. Compound that over 5 or 10 years, your money's going to have lost 80% of its value. Whereas if you invest that money into recurring income, digital assets, physical assets, protect the capital, then you could increase your capital base by 80%. So your capital could go down by 80% in 5 years saving and go up by 80% by investing. Emily's just said here, you're just selling yourself. 'Isn't that called prostitution, Emily?' How am I selling myself? What have I sold? I haven't sold anything. I haven't asked for any money. And what's wrong with selling myself? What if I have a meaningful vision? Would you not agree that there's more than enough money out there for us all to be rich? Give me a yes or no in the comments. Would you agree that there's more than enough money in the world for all of us to be millionaires? If you agree with that, then why do the top 1% have nearly all of it? And how is that fair? But you have to educate yourself, because people are like, 'Oh, it's the government's fault, it's billionaires' fault.' No, it's not. You have to educate yourself. Now here's the thing: it's not your fault if you're born into poverty, but it is your fault if you're in the developed world and you die in poverty. I really believe that, really believe that. So with the internet, with the smartphones, with social media, It's easier than ever to educate yourself, and my personal vision is to help as many people on this planet get better financial education and knowledge. And if that's selling myself, I'm gonna sell you hard. Because here's the thing: the government aren't going to save you, the banks are scamming you, so you need to protect yourself. Which means never spend more than you earn, only, uh, invest or take risks that you can afford to lose. Invest any spare capital into assets. Make sure those assets are income generating, because crypto and gold isn't. Everyone's talking about crypto and gold, they don't generate income, they're a capital asset. So make sure that the assets you invest in produce income. Reinvest that income into more assets to produce multiple streams of income. I've essentially, over 5 or 6 steps there, given you the formula for wealth. But are you going to do anything about it? Or are you just gonna say I'm selling myself? In fact, I should sell myself more. So hit the share button. Let's let as many people know about the banking scam. But I don't blame the banks, I blame the education system. Because if the banks can convince you to give them money to lend for free, good on them. If I could convince you to give me a million pounds for free to look after, and then I can go and lend it out, then I'm a genius. So in a way, banks are geniuses, or the masses are stupid. But here's the thing, it's not their fault because they don't know, because there's the media that's the wall in the way, and they don't really want you to know their grand genius plans. So it's education, education. So you need to learn, earn, and invest. So the banks will lure you in, give you no interest, lend you or invest your money out 10 to 1, You wouldn't do that. You wouldn't give someone you didn't know all your money and they wouldn't guarantee it and they can lend and invest it and they can make a 10x return and you get nothing. You wouldn't do that, yet we're blindly doing it to the banks. Your kids need to know this. You need to know this. Cash is devaluing hard. It is trash. It is a— cash is a depreciating liability. You need to earn it, of course, and you need to use it to pay bills, but any surplus needs to be invested into assets that produce recurring and digital and online and passive income, multiple streams of income. So if you put toolkit in the comments, I'm going to give you a mainstream media article I wrote on up to 30 ways to save up to half your expenses. I'm going to give you access to, um, digital assets, the 15 different digital assets that you can monetize. I did not one but two 90-minute keynote mini masterclasses. I'm going to give you access to those. My mission is to help as many people get better financial knowledge and education. So just write toolkit in the comments and that is yours for free as my gift from you. Now if you get value from my daily videos, daily videos, if you get value, all I ask is you take action. All I ask is that you learn so you can earn so you can invest. Because let's be honest, would the world be a better place if we all had more money? It would. Now look, I don't blame a billionaire for being a billionaire. And actually, many of the billionaires that people hate, we need. I'm doing a live on a device that made someone many billions. But if the billionaires had a little bit less, because we were all a bit more savvy and we had a bit more, and wealth was somewhat redistributed, not artificially by governments, because all they'll do is put it in their own pockets, but if wealth was slightly redistributed and the zero heirs were at least 100,000 heirs, and the 100,000 heirs were millionaires, and we were all more wealthy, the world would be a much better place. We'd all be more grateful, we'd all be giving more tips, we'd all be donating to our charities, we'd all be, you know, travelling better, we'd be employing more people. So actually the whole world would benefit if we're all better with money. But the system doesn't want you to be good with money, otherwise the school system would change. Because the education in the school system is so fucking out of date. It is unbelievably out of date. It's ridiculous. Like the tutors at universities— sorry, my Stan's just gone wobbly. The tutors at universities are skint, and they're teaching you about business. You know, the people who are teaching business MBAs are broke. It's completely wrong. Hmm. So cash is trash. Don't leave it in the banks, they won't guarantee it. Save only as a mechanism to stop overspending and build an investment pot, and then invest into assets, ideally digital, ideally low cost, quick and easy. Ideally assets that produce income. Take that income, reinvest that income into other assets and the same assets to build them, and then generate multiple streams of recurring income. And then you turn occurring income into recurring income, earned income into passive income, you turn information into income, and you can do a lot more good in the world. Beware the banking scam. Now a quick one, um, a lot of people have been saying to me 'Um, Rob, how do I get access to this How to Invest series that you've been talking about?' 'Hey Rob, how do I monetise social media like you do?' Because I make 6 figures a month on social media. I don't hide any of it. And people are asking me, 'But how do you do that? How do you start a business? What's the right business to start? How do you start a business if you've got a full-time job?' They ask me that a lot. 'What's the best business model for 2022?' These are questions I get asked all the time. If you want to know the answers to one or all of those questions, if you just now go and join Rob.team, my members area, then you can answer all those questions and more with regular weekly masterclasses, articles, content, community challenges, Zooms, and live streams. Because they're not teaching it in schools. The banks don't want you to know about this. The government don't want you to know how taxation works properly. They make it really complicated because they don't want to know, because you'll realize you're getting taxed on everything. There'll be a breath tax soon. There'll be a thought tax. 'Oh, you thought about a business idea? We'll tax you 50% of that thought.' It's coming. Tax is becoming digital, so they'll take it more regularly and they'll take it more outsourced. You must educate yourself. Learn, earn, invest. So open a new page, a new window right now. Type in rob.moore.team. Join now, cost of a large coffee. That's it. In fact, it's an investment. You can run it through your business, and I've just launched the 9-module, 10-hour How to Invest series. Would you like to know what to invest in, how to invest, how to protect your money, how to diversify the different levels of risk in, what, 9 or 10 different asset classes? How to protect your cash, if you'd like to learn that? Just go now and join rob.team. R-O-B. And you can go and gain access immediately to the 9-module, 10-hour How to Invest series. I invest— I, um, interviewed one of the top UK entrepreneur investors. Someone's just asked here about, um, monetizing social media, um, and building a following. And do you have— do you have to have a big following? Well, I've got, um, an 8 or 9-hour course called How to 10x Your Social Media Following. So in 2021, I 10x'd my following, i.e., I got— I doubled my following in a year, but I built my half of that in 8 years. So I essentially more than 10x'd my following in 1 year, and I've now got over 1.2 million followers on social media. So if you'd like to learn how to build your following, um, and turn content into cash flow, there's actually a, um, there's a, there's a, there's a week challenge a 1-week challenge, which is all the modules have been recorded, and there's something like a 9-hour, 10-hour course on how to 10x your social media following. If you just join rob.team now, open a new window, type in rob.team, you can gain access to that 10x your following masterclass. The 21 ways to monetize social media, I have a brand new course that's just launched. It was 6 hours long. These are all online, all recorded, instant access. It's like Netflix, but it's not entertainment and mind-numbing, it's education. So I guess it's, you know, the Netflix of millionaires is maybe what Rob.team is. But I monetize social media many different ways. Most of the 21 ways I teach you, I monetize. The others, I know people who monetize, or I've got guests to teach. So if you want to know all the different ways to monetize social media, to go from zero to 3 grand to 5 grand to 10 grand to 100 grand, then, um, go and join rob.team right now by opening a new page. Just open a new window, type in r-o-b dot t-e-a-m. Do it now because I've got to get out of here. Join, cost of a large coffee, cancel anytime, get 3 years worth of content going back. Join the thousands of disruptive entrepreneurs getting better financial education and knowledge in rob.team. Learn earn and invest. Do you know the problem of poverty is not resources? It's not. It's education. Here's the proof: some of the richest resources in the world are in some of the poorest countries. You know, UK doesn't have rich resources— well, some, but not a lot. But you know, many, um, African or, um, Far Eastern European countries have great resources And they're— most of them are poor. It's not resources, it's education. Imagine if everyone knew how the banks made their money and then they copied how the banks made their money. So many more people will be rich. Now, by the way, it benefits me if you get rich, and it benefits you if other people get rich, because there's more than enough money for us all to be rich. And so if, if you're rich, you can afford my products and services. If everyone on here is rich, they can afford your products and services. So actually benefits us all the more rich we are. Hmm, something to think about. Beware of the great banking scam where they lure you in because they don't incentivize you to give you— you give them all your money on the blind trust. If there's a bank run, they will not give you that back. They won't guarantee it. Most of it is not insured. Uh, and they're going to give you no interest and they're going to get 10x lending and investing on it because they know that cash is a liability. They know that cash is trash. You've got to think like the banks and act like the banks if you want to get rich, because the banks are rich. Thanks for tuning in. I'll see you in Rob.team if you want to be an entrepreneur, build a side hustle, start a business, scale a business. If you want to create multiple streams of of recurring income, digital income, online income, personal brand income, content into cash flow, passion into profit, learn how to invest, monetize social media, you need to join rob.team.
