The IMF Slam Tax Cuts 🤬

Rob Moore attacks the IMF for criticizing the UK's tax cuts while ignoring lockdowns, Brexit, and inflation. He defends five specific measures including a £60 billion energy-bill freeze and National Insurance reversal as pro-growth policies that benefit the 99%, not the wealthy.

The IMF have slammed the UK tax cuts. The International Monetary Fund have been unusually openly critical about the mini-budget from the UK, uh, which everyone's calling, um, the tax cuts for the 1%. I call shenanigans on this. I think there's a load of ridiculous hypocrisy and nonsense spin going off in the media, and it needs to be corrected. So all this Labour spin of, you know, looking after the 1%— and I'm going to come to that in a moment. I'm also going to come to what the IMF are supposed to actually freaking do. In a moment. But the IMF have made an open statement, unusually openly critical. They have said that the tax cuts will lead to increase inequality and will pressure prices up. So they believe that tax cuts for the people— by the way, this is about the first thing in the last 3 years that's actually happened that benefits the people. Finally something happens to benefit the people. Finally you get a penny back. And now there's this massive open criticism about it. Quite frankly, it's fucking outrageous. So IMF, you know, the International Monetary Fund, what are they supposed to do? I'll let you know in a minute. They are pressuring the UK government to reevaluate their tax cuts. And they're saying that it's going to cause price inequality and pressure to put prices up. Okay, so, hmm, so the International Monetary Fund, what are they supposed to do? Let's look at that. Uh, why don't we have a look at the definition of their role? So the IMF work to stabilise the global economy. Wait a minute, let me say that one more time. The IMF work to stabilise the global economy. Wait a fucking minute, when was the last time the global economy was stable? Where were the IMF in lockdown 1, 2, and 3? Where were the IMF with the massive taxation increases. Where were the IMF when there's been hundreds of billions financing wars? Where were the IMF in Brexit? Where were the IMF when our governments are in trillions in debt? Where were the IMF with massive inflation? Where were the IMF when we fucking needed you? Where were the IMF with this soaring cost of living crisis? They were fucking nowhere to be seen. Oh, but wait, now we give a bit of benefit to the people and not just the 1%— I'm going to correct that in a minute— Now we give a bit of benefit back to the people, and now all of a sudden it's a freaking crime of humanity. So finally, finally, our government have taken a proactive step to try and change the state of our economy. Instead of being on holiday when you should have been governing, Liz Truss has come in and made some strong decisions. She wasn't on holiday when she was supposed to be governing. She wasn't having parties when she was supposed to be locked down. Boris was. And now Liz Truss has come in and she's got a clear plan. We want growth. We want increased living quality for all. It is a clear plan. It might not be a perfect plan, but it's a plan. Finally, we have a fucking plan. And now the Chancellor and the PM are getting lambasted, and I'm gonna stick up for them. I've criticized when I felt that it was right to criticize, but you're fucking damned if you do and you're fucking damned if you don't. So I believe the only way out of a global depression and possibly World War III is economic growth, is increase in living standards. And you get economic growth and increase in living standards when more people are able to work, and when we are able to increase output, increase production, increase innovation, remove friction. Massive tax is a friction of production, because if you tax The people who produce, they can't produce because they can't make any money. So you need to get rid of all the friction of production. So lockdown was a friction of production. War is a friction of production. Taxes are a friction of production. Massive unemployment is a friction of production. Universal credit is a friction of production. Of course, in some instances it's needed, in many it's not. So what we need to do is fuck this work from home 3 days a week, WFH. It's not work from home, it's work fucking harder. We need drive and ethic and innovation and disruption and production and output. That's the only way, because lockdown constricted output, constricted supply to almost nothing, and that's why we have so many of the problems now. Now, lockdown 1, I maybe you could excuse, but lockdown 2 and soft lockdown 3 were fucking outrageous, and they cost you the taxpayer hundreds of billions. Where were the IMF when that happened? This is fucking crazy. So right, I'm gonna move to this 1% bullshit. So Labour and a bit of IMF are saying that the tax cuts are creating inequality, which let's translate that to say the tax cuts were for the rich. All this bullshit on the media about all the tax benefits were only for the 1%. Well, I've listed a few here. So they reversed the National Insurance rise. That's not for the 1%, that's for everyone. They removed the healthcare levy. That's not for the 1%, that's for everyone. This is for the working and lower and poor class. They removed stamp duty, well, they increased the threshold to £250,000, and for first-time buyers, £425,000. So the top 1% aren't first-time buyers. So the increase in stamp duty to fire up the housing market, to help first-time buyers on the ladder, was not for the top 1%. It was for the other 99%. It's just bullshit rhetoric. It's just fucking spin, political brinkmanship. Fuck off, Labour! Come on, bullshit! Oh, and next thing, the freezing of the energy bills, the £60 billion in 6 months that Liz Truss has put to help the average person with their energy bills. That's not for the top 1%. The top 1% could probably afford the rise. It's for the people. Those 5 things— reverse National Insurance, remove healthcare levy, increase in stamp duty thresholds, Freeze energy bills, and then of course the income tax lower bracket reduction. That's for the people! So IMF, total hypocrisy. Where were you when we needed you, IMF? Your remit, IMF, is to work to stabilise the global economy. Did lockdown 1, 2, and 3 stabilise the global economy? Is the world war between Russia and Ukraine stabilising the world economy? Are the trillions in debt with Hundreds of billions in interest for government stabilizing the world economy. Are the massive taxes stabilizing the world economy? Is massive inflation and now the threat of massive interest rates, is that stabilizing the world economy? No! It pisses me right off. It's total hypocrisy. The one time our government have a clear plan on what they want to do, and they've made bold, strong moves to do it, and they're getting slammed everywhere. If I was Liz Truss and I was the Chancellor, I would stick to my plan. Head down, arse up. Fuck the media, fuck Labour, fuck the IMF. And I would push for growth. Because by the way, a lot of people saying, oh, trickle-down economics doesn't work. Well, this isn't trickle-down economics because those 5 things I listed are for the 99%, not the 1%. So the rich got some benefits and then everyone else got some benefits. And by the way, trickle-down economics, if managed well, does work. Because the rich employ everyone else. So if the rich have friction removed for employment, if the rich have friction removed for growth and incentives for growth, then there's more people employed, they can increase their salaries, and the money trickles down to everyone else. That works. It works if it's properly managed and it's not veiled communism, which most of our capital systems kind of look like now anyway. So people have suffered long enough in this fucking country, in this fucking world. We need growth, we need production, we need innovation. Look, not every government does everything wrong, not every government does everything right. But I think that this move by the UK government is bold and strong. It shows leadership, it shows strategy, it shows vision. I think it could work. I believe it's what we need. And the IMF and Labour, where were you when we needed you? Like, Labour, you're a shadow government. What have you done other than criticize? What have you done that's useful? What have the politicians built and created and made and innovated and disrupted and designed? Nothing. Where have the IMF been these last 3 years? Anyway, look, this is my thoughts. I'd love your thoughts too. If you agree, great, share. If you disagree, great, comment and discuss. It's just my thoughts. I would love your thoughts too. I really am open to discussion. Exactly right, Will. Who's paying the £60 billion that's funding the energy cap raise? In the end, it's always us. Because if the government raise debt, then they increase taxes or increase quantitative easing to reduce their debt. So in the end, we end up paying. So we're paying for it all anyway. Yeah. But at least if we're paying for it and we get something out of it, is that not good? So if we pay increased taxes, then let us grow our business, help us employ people, give us subsidies for innovation and production and creation and design. Some of you are saying here, well, look, it's the system, it's the New World Order, the Great Reset, own nothing, be happy. Let me know what you think of this in the comments now. Look, one thing I will say is I can bang on on lives and I could be pissed and you can have your opinion, and we can't change anything other than ourselves. And so the responsibility to speak out is from us, and I'm speaking out, and I'm sure that the IMF aren't watching my videos and don't give a fuck about me, but it's not going to stop me speaking out because we should all speak out on what we believe to be true, correct, accurate, and beneficial. Um, But we can only be responsible for our own lives, our own actions, our own decisions. And I've been warning people for 3 fucking years that the economy is going to get worse. It's probably not going to be a correction, probably not even going to be a depression. It's probably going to be worse. So no matter what the government do, that's too much. Inflation is too high. Interest rates will go high. The thing with the UK government right now is they're taking over a sinking ship. What can they do? The ship's already going under. So what you can do, though, is take personal responsibility. If the economy is in recession, your economy can be in aggression. If the economy is sinking, your economy could be flying. If more money is being taken from you in tax, You could increase your income streams. If your cash is going down, your assets could be going up. So my question to you is, are you seeing the opportunity here? Are you turning depreciating liabilities into appreciating assets? Are you seeing the new problems in the world and creating a business, a side hustle, that solves that new problem and becomes the new modern and future business model. The entrepreneurs of today are not doing what entrepreneurs were doing yesterday. The world has dramatically changed. So if you'd like to keep up with the change, make, manage, and multiply money, start and scale a business, get better financial education and knowledge, turn depreciating liabilities such as cash into appreciating assets such as real estate and gold— if you'd like to get better financial education and knowledge, then rob.team is the platform and the place to do it. We've got interest rates about to go hard high. We've got really high inflation. We've still got high taxation, although good on the government for stopping that rot. There's a lot more shit to come. I've been saying for 3 years this is going to get a lot worse before it gets a lot better. But while others are surviving, you could be thriving. Where others are seeing problems, you could see opportunity. And not in a vulturistic way, but in an upside opportunistic way. There are great new business models right now which don't need any staff or overheads or premises that you can get liquid very quick, but you need to know what they are. So I'll see you in the members area. Quick summary: the IMF have slammed the tax cuts from the UK Chancellor and government. They were unusually open about their criticism. They believed that the tax cuts would increase inequality. Let's be honest, that started decades ago. And they believed that the UK tax cuts would put upward pressure on prices. Well, lockdown 1, 2, and 3 sorted that out, and Brexit sorted that out. So they're actually pressuring the UK government to reevaluate the tax cuts. I pressure back that I think that they're doing the right thing, give or take. What do the IMF do anyway? They're supposed to work to stabilize the global economy. Epic fail. So if you think about a job description which has been the biggest epic fail in the last 3 years, it would be what the IMF do. Am I saying it's easy? No. But what they're supposed to do, they have epically failed at in the last 3 years, And now they're criticising the UK government for actually doing something proactive to push growth up. So in some ways the UK government is damned if it does and damned if it doesn't. We need growth. We need production. The UK government are clear on a vision that they want growth and they want increased living standards for all. And I think that's a great vision. They're not going to get everything right, but I think they've made some good moves. Fucking support them for goodness sake. Otherwise we'll just get taxed more. If Rishi had come in, your taxes would have gone up and up and up and up and up and up and up. This is much better. And for all this, oh, 1% benefit nonsense, the National Insurance rise was reversed. That would have hurt everyone. The removal of the healthcare levy, that would have hurt everyone. They've increased the stamp duty threshold up to £250,000 on, um, the first level, and for a first-time buyer, that's £425,000, no stamp duty. That is not for the 1%, that is for the 99%. Oh, they forgot to mention that. They've frozen the energy bills, which the 1% could probably afford, the 99% can't. So they're supporting the 99% a lot more than this bullshit rhetoric across the media and Labour. Wah wah wah wah wah wah wah. Fuck off. Let me know what you think. Thanks for tuning in.
