The ‘Misinformation’ Scandal

Rob Moore argues that "misinformation" has become a tool to silence dissent, describing how YouTube, Instagram, Spotify and Clubhouse shadow-banned his content for using words like "pandemic" and "vaccine." He defends Joe Rogan's podcast and criticizes Neil Young and Joni Mitchell for pressuring Spotify to remove him, calling it reverse blackmail.

Hi, it's Rob Moore here, and there, I believe, is a new pandemic in town, and that is the misinformation scandal. I think that the word misinformation is now being used as a weapon, a weapon of mass distraction. I think it's being used as a threat, almost as blackmail. I nearly put the word blackmail in the title. But, um, I looked at the definition and it's not quite blackmail. But let me tell you this, um, Neil Young recently said to Spotify, um, get rid of Joe Rogan or get rid of me. I don't think that's technically blackmail, but it's nearly there. Why? Because that would cause great financial cost and consequence to— do you know what, I think putting the word— this is interesting. I've put pandemic in the title and I've got really no one on the Instagram Live and the TikTok Live. Whoa, see what's going on here in the world. I put pandemic in the title on, um, Instagram and I've got 6 people on the live. I've got 28 people on the Clubhouse Live because I put pandemic in the title. This— that honestly I'm just going to keep going because this is absolutely outrageous. You cannot even say the word pandemic. You can't even write it in a title. I've basically had my content on Instagram and Clubhouse shadow banned because I've put the word pandemic in the title. What can we now say? Like, we want this freedom of speech. But you can't even say the word. Like, let's be honest, in the world right now, the C-word, which I don't say, the P-word, which I shouldn't write— clearly I've learned that lesson. Can you say lockdown without being locked down on social media? We're in this crazy time right now where we're being cancelled and shadow banned. My YouTube account just got shadow banned. Um, we're being, um, deleted, deplatformed, bribed, blackmailed. This is crazy. This is absolutely crazy. Please, actually, if you agree with me, hit the share button, because if we're getting restricted for speaking the truth, the only way that we can fight and campaign for this truth is to share each other's work that is truth. So anyway, let me get back to the point. I'm just completely shocked about that. I shouldn't be, I suppose. But, um, right, so Neil Young said to Spotify, get rid of Joe Rogan because he's spreading COVID misinformation, or I am leaving Spotify. Now, I'm not sure if that's blackmail. Um, I had a look into, um, the definition of blackmail, but essentially it's threatening for Spotify to take a loss of revenue if they don't cancel someone who they paid £70 million for. So maybe that's reverse blackmail, I don't know. But look, I don't know Neil Young, I'm not going to judge the guy, but why should Joe Rogan be forced by Neil Rogan— Neil Rogan, by the way, Neil Young and Joe Rogan should do a joint show. And we should call it the Neil Rogan Show, the Neil Yogan Show. I would love to see Joe Rogan interview Neil Young. I reached out to Neil Young to try and interview Neil Young. We haven't made that happen yet. I also reached out to the, um, the head of Spotify, who's not taking interviews at the moment. But I actually think there's something wrong with the world if someone on a platform threatens to, um, leave the platform unless they get rid of someone else on the platform. Like, I don't have a problem with— and who does— why does Neil Young care? You know, I'm just— yeah, I'm just me, but I am fighting for truth and freedom and not being canceled. If Neil Young wants to leave Spotify, fine, leave Spotify, but don't leverage Spotify and essentially reverse blackmail them and threaten to leave or get rid of Joe Rogan. They've spent £75 million on Joe Rogan, and now Spotify have to take a hit in revenue because they can't make any revenue on Neil Young's music. So Spotify are put between a rock and a hard place. I think that is reverse blackmail, and I don't know why he's doing it, because he's then said, oh, I've now lost 60% of my revenue. Well, yeah, you have, but here's the thing. Well, look, Someone has said, why does Neil Young care? Well, look, Neil Young might really strongly believe that we should all be vaccinated, and they're— oh, just said the word shit, I might get canceled. It's crazy. But, um, and that's fine, he's allowed to believe that, and he can write songs about that, he can sing about that, and he can dance about that. Joe Rogan hasn't gone to Neil Young and gone, oh, I don't like your lyrics, it's misinformation, your lyrics aren't fact, uh, get off Spotify. Actually, Spotify, get Neil Young off, um, because his lyrics are not fact and his lyrics are misinformation. So get him off or I'm leaving. You know that $75 million you gave me? I'm leaving because Neil Young's lyrics is misinformation. It's freaking crazy. Now, like I said, if Neil Young wants to leave because he doesn't want to be associated on a publishing platform with Joe Rogan's content, that's fine. But just fucking leave. Don't reverse blackmail Spotify and Joe Rogan. It's crazy. Now, here's the next thing. I actually did a post on this recently. Here's the next thing. Joni Mitchell's just waded in. So Joni Mitchell, who's friends with Neil Young, has called Spotify irresponsible and that people are spreading lies that are costing people's lives. Well, last time I looked, You're allowed to have an opinion on a podcast. You can't accuse a podcast of lying because a podcast is someone's opinion. Now here's the irony. Joe Rogan, um, yeah, please hit the share button here. I'm seeing people hitting the share button. Joe Rogan isn't— he is the interviewer. So Joe Rogan's getting the shit, but Joe Rogan interviewed the people. So it's not Joe Rogan's opinion, it's opinion of the interviewee, and yet Joe Rogan's taking the shit for it. And it's clearly an opinion because it's on a podcast. No one goes to Neil Young and goes, oh, you know, Jump Into the River. Let's say Neil Young sings a song, Jump Into the River. Oh, Neil, I jumped into the river. It's misinformation, it's costing people's lives. I drowned in the river because you sung Jump Into the River. It's crazy. Now Joni Mitchell is accusing Spotify of being irresponsible, um, and spreading lies that are costing people's lives. But here's the thing, how do we not know that the vaccine and the lockdowns, how do we not know that that's not costing people's lives? We actually don't know. And surely you need both sides of the debate and the discussion and the opinion. Surely you do. So basically what Joni Mitchell, and I respect these guys for their work, by the way, but Joni Mitchell and Neil Young are saying what we believe is true and what you believe is not true, and we're allowed to be heard and you're not allowed to be heard. That's essentially what they're saying, and that is fundamentally wrong. And then they're putting pressure on Spotify, making Spotify out to be irresponsible and spreading lies. Spotify are just a, um, a conduit of information. How can Spotify be blamed for what Joe Rogan says? But Joe Rogan didn't even say it, his guest said it. They can't. That's like me going to my publisher and saying, um, Neil Young wrote a book 15 years ago. I don't agree with the content publisher, so get rid of Neil Young, or get— or I'm leaving and I'm going to Penguin. That's crazy. Spotify is just a platform. And now Neil Young's taking a 60% hit in his, um, royalty revenue, and he's and brought heat to Warner Brothers, you know, his, um, record label. For what? Why? It's just— so Joni Mitchell said she stands in solidarity with Neil Young and with the global scientific and medical communities. Well, can all scientists be trusted? Can all governments be trusted? Can all politicians be trusted? Hit the share button, by the way, if you think we need to get this message out to the masses. I'm absolutely shocked that, um, definitely on Instagram and Clubhouse, my room has been shadow banned because I've put the word pandemic. By the way, I've written— here's the irony, right? I have written in the title the misinformation pandemic. So basically I'm talking about the new pandemic of misinformation, so I'm not actually even talking about the pandemic. And yet definitely, um, 2 of the 4 channels I'm live on have this— this content has been restricted. Um, a couple of people are saying calm down, stop ranting. Do you ever not rant? It's what I'm known for. Like, if I said, hi, it's Rob Moore here, and I'm a little bit upset about this misinformation, um, you know, scandal going on right now, and what's Neil Young up to, and poor old Spotify and Joe Rogan— like, you think there's something wrong with me? Has Rob taken depressants? But do you know what? Let me ask you this question. Are you fighting for your freedom of speech? Are you fighting for correct information? Are you fighting for balanced information, balanced discussion, balanced debate? Because if you're not, you fucking well should be. And I'm using my platform, by the way. I'm risking getting deplatformed. Definitely Clubhouse and Instagram. My rooms have just been restricted. So I just got banned from YouTube for 90 days because my guest, not me, my guest said COVID has been hard on small business. So here's the thing, so I'm speaking up and speaking the truth and you've got to support me, but it's not— you're not supporting me. Am I balanced? Yeah, I am balanced. I am balanced. I think I'm more balanced than most people. I haven't said the scientists are wrong, excuse me, I haven't said the scientists are right. I've said you've got to wait probably 5 or 10 years to see the real consequence of pandemics and lockdowns. Um, so, you know, who else is fighting for getting taxes down? I'm fighting for getting taxes down. So I think I'm pretty balanced. And by the way, if you think there's information I haven't got, then put it in the comments. And I read a lot of the comments, by the way. I go through and read and reply to a lot of the comments. I don't know everything. I don't propose to know everything. Um, so, and in fact, I think I've shown balance in this content. Why? Because I've said if Neil Young and Joni Mitchell believe wholeheartedly that the scientists are right and that there's misinformation from Joe Rogan and Spotify, they're allowed that belief. I don't have a problem with that. And they're allowed to walk off Spotify. I don't have a problem with that. But don't threaten Spotify and accuse Joe Rogan of misinformation and accuse Spotify of being irresponsible and spreading lies, because that's not true. They're just sharing their opinion, and that's what a podcast does. If you cannot share your opinion on a podcast, where can you fucking share it? Because you can't share it on YouTube anymore because I just got a 90-day ban. I can't clearly share it on Clubhouse and Instagram because your rooms and your lives get restricted. Restricted. Someone's got to speak up. Well, that's— many people are speaking up about this, but you've got to speak up as well. Well, no, you don't have to. You can do what you want. But you know, if you follow me, and if you want to preserve your free speech, if you want to preserve your right to share your opinion, then you have to stand up for when other people are getting it restricted. So please hit the share button. Someone just said, all right, Baldy. Thanks, mate. All right, bellend. All right, baldy. Not been called baldy before. I should not look down. Hey, look, I'm 43, I'm doing all right. Um, okay, so Joni Mitchell stands in solidarity with Neil Young, um, and says that the global scientific and medical communities are right and spreading correct information, and anyone who disagrees with it is spreading misinformation. So this is why I've put in the title— and by the way, I'm not doing this again— but I put in the title 'The Misinformation Pandemic,' because now people are using misinformation as a weapon. That word has turned into a weapon, and that's absolutely wrong. That's absolutely wrong. Basically, what most— do you know what misinformation really means? It means 'I don't agree with you, this is bullshit.' Like, it's used as a weapon. Joe Rogan isn't spreading misinformation. Joe Rogan is spreading his information. And he's allowed to do that. And by the way, Joe Rogan will probably interview people from both sides, I would have thought. And who, who says that all the scientists and medical communities are right anyway? They still need— there's years to go before we can actually, um, have proven what's right. Okay, so by the way, Joni Mitchell didn't actually address Joe Rogan herself, um, but what she did do is, um, link to an open letter signed by a group of scientists and medical professionals which, by the way, the people who Joe Rogan have interviewed are scientists and medical professionals. Uh, okay, so, and, um, this open letter criticized Spotify for hosting Joe Rogan. Now here's the, here's the silly thing. Joe Rogan's done what, 1,700, 1,800 podcasts? I bet you not no more than 10 of them have even been about, um, you know, COVID. And all of that. And yet they want to get rid of the whole Joe Rogan Experience. That's just wrong. Okay, um, it calls on Spotify to take action against the mass information— sorry, the mass misinformation events which continue to occur on this platform. Um, Neil Young accused Spotify of spreading fake information about vaccine— oh, nearly said it— potentially causing death to those who believe the disinformation being spread by them. Yeah, okay, so there could be death if we— if we, um, no matter what happens, there's going to be deaths. And we won't know for 10 years until we've modeled both sides whether lockdowns and vaccines cause more or less deaths. And there has not been enough modeling on the consequences of no vaccines and no lockdowns. So actually, he— this, this information is not— cannot yet be proven to be true. I was really pissed off when these scientists got knighted in the UK. Why? Not because I agree or disagree, because honestly, I don't really know, and you don't know, and Neil doesn't know, and Joe doesn't know. We don't know. We honestly don't know. And everyone thinks they do, but, but we don't. It's going to take a lot of years for it to to play out. Um, I lost my train of thought. It— this has to change. It completely has to change. But oh yeah, that was it. So there wasn't enough, in my view, modeling done of the consequences of vaccines and of lockdowns, and the people weren't really getting listened to, and all the information was being manipulated. So for example, there was the died with COVID That doesn't mean a thing. Like, that's just spin and PR. Died with COVID You know what? I could have an itchy testicle and die, and then they're going to put on my death certificate, Rob Moore died with an itchy testicle, trying to make out that I died of an itchy testicle. I'm not gonna die of an itchy testicle. But to put— by the way, I know people, because here's the thing, I'm getting a lot of information from a lot of you on my posts because I'm getting millions of views on these posts, although not in Clubhouse and not on Instagram. But a few people had family members die, and on the death certificate it referenced died with— I can't even say the word because I just get shut down. And they were really pissed off about that because they didn't think that was the cause of death. So if I died with an itchy testicle, is that the cause of death? No, it's not. So they used 'died with' as fucking spin, and they modeled one side and not the other. Now, by the way, they might be right. You know, the vaccines and the lockdowns might have been the best thing ever, and we're not gonna know for 5 or 10 years. But what about who's standing up for the fact that all these loss of jobs, this massive unemployment, this massive inflation, this massive increase in taxation? Me, and hopefully you. So hit the share button, get this message out to as many people as possible. Now the word misinformation is a weapon. I don't trust it anymore. People are just going, "Oh, misinformation." Like, do you remember when it was, "Oh, fake news"? You know, "Oh, check your facts." You know, these words become weapons. And it's wrong. It's frickin' wrong. Okay, so we need balanced discussion, which means— now, by the way, someone said, "Rob Moore, am I balanced?" I think I'm pretty balanced, but let's say I'm not. Let's say I've— because have I got biases? Yeah. I'll tell you what my bias is. I support small businesses. I support a growing economy. I support proper free market capitalism. And these— we haven't got these fucking things right now, and they make out that they have, but they haven't. So if we— small business generates 90%+ of the economy. Here's the irony: the politicians are paid by small business owners. I pay the politicians. That's a fact, by the way. Small business owners and entrepreneurs We create, we build, we design, we engineer, we solve, and we take fucking big risks doing that, and that's a fact. And yet we're getting taxed double, taxed triple, taxed quadruple. You know, we're getting looked down on by the government, we're getting disrespected. People are going on and on about entrepreneurs and business owners and not paying tax. It's all bullshit. And VAT is still 20%, and corp tax has gone up by a third. And National Insurance has gone up by 12%, and dividend tax is going up. It's wrong. It's fucking wrong. Why? Because if they stunt the growth of the small business, they completely kill the economy, probably worse than anything else, worse than lockdowns, etc. So yeah, that is my bias. But who's campaigning for that? Not enough of us, which is why I ask you to share my content. Every single video I do on Facebook You can tag yourself in and what you do, and you can pitch your small business, and you can link away, and you can sell on my threads. And most people won't let you do that. Most people will just shut you down on, on their social media if, you know, you don't agree with them. You can disagree with me, you can create discussion and debate, you can tell me I'm wrong. So I believe my voice should be allowed to be heard, but if you don't agree with me, I believe your voice should be heard too. Because I will only ever delete or ban anyone on my social media if it's troll or hate or abuse or anything like that. So people like Joni Mitchell and Neil Young, I'm sorry, they're making a bad example because they're saying, 'I don't agree with you and you should be canceled,' and then they're pulling a lever on Spotify and reverse blackmailing Spotify to get rid of Joe Rogan which is their highest-grossing podcast that they paid £75 million for. So Spotify are being leveraged in between a rock and a hard place. Lose Joni Mitchell, lose Neil Young, and possibly lose a load of other people that agree with Joni Mitchell and Neil Young, which they may be right, they may be wrong, they're entitled to their opinion. But now they're creating all this media, and then how many more people are going to come out and go against Spotify? Now, by the way, I don't, I, I don't earn any money of commission on Spotify. Actually, my podcast is listened more on iTunes and Stitcher than Spotify, but I just don't think it's right. And it's freaking— it's, it's, it's elegant blackmail. So if Joe Rogan and— if Neil Young and Joni Mitchell disagree with Joe Rogan and what he says and don't want to be associated, fine, that's okay. And it's okay to have your, your say, but leave and don't threaten Joe Rogan and threaten Spotify? Because surely we have to preserve duality of information where we are each discussing openly our thoughts and opinions and experiences with a view to trying to come to some kind of collective agreement or truth. Is this not what democracy is? But now we have our misinformation, our cancelled— you, by the way, I can't use the word P-L-C-V, COVID lockdown. I can't even say it. Instagram and Clubhouse, these rooms have been shadowed. I can see it because I've got a third or a quarter of the numbers I'd normally have. My YouTube account got banned for 90 days. I'm going to lose tens of thousands in revenue and thousands of new subscribers, and I'm going to lose a voice because I interviewed someone and that person said that COVID has been tough on small business. That's a fucking fact. That is true. So I've been accused by a bot on YouTube of misinformation when I didn't pervade the information, my guest did, and it's actually accurate truth information, and a bot has accused me of misinformation. I mean, how screwed up is the world that some bot knows more about small business than me? By the way, I know more about small business than YouTube, because YouTube don't have a small business. They don't care. YouTube do not give you any customer service. I've spent millions with YouTube and I can't even speak to a person about my account. They do not give a fuck. I've spent millions with them. Now, if you spend millions with me, you come to my house, I cook for you naked, I'll suck your toes, I'll cook you whatever you want, I'll do the dishes and the housework for you, you can have my Lamborghini for free, you can do any— anything you want with me. If you give me millions of pounds, I'm gonna serve you. But you give YouTube millions of pounds, they do nothing because they don't care because you're not Coca-Cola. I wonder if MrBeast had said the same sentence that my guest on my show said. Has been tough on small business. I wonder if they'd cancel MrBeast, who made $56 million himself on YouTube, which must have meant they must have made hundreds of millions from MrBeast. I wonder. Anyway, quick summary, because I could be here all freaking day. My YouTube account got banned because, um, my guest, not me, said COVID has been hard on small business. That's a fact. That's an absolute fact. Um, not all businesses, I get, but many businesses. No one would disagree with that. Yeah, I've been accused of misinformation even though I'm being the purveyor of truth, even though it wasn't me, it was my guest. And then I'm getting banned by a bot. That's wrong, number one. Number two, Neil Young threatened Spotify: get rid of Joe Rogan or get rid of Neil Young. Why did he do that? I don't think that that's fair or right. Neil Young's allowed his opinion. So state your opinion, state that you disagree, and if you disagree strongly and you don't want to be associated, leave Spotify. But don't reverse blackmail and leverage Spotify into trying to get rid of Joe Rogan. They should not get rid of Joe Rogan. Joe Rogan's allowed his voice. You're allowed your voice. I'm allowed my voice. Joe Rogan isn't going to Neil Young going, "Change your lyrics because it's misinformation." If Neil Young feels really strongly about it, write a fucking song about it, because that's what he does. And then Joni Mitchell's waded in and agreeing with Neil Young, and yeah, bye, um, you know, get rid of misinformation on your channel or we're gone. Now, by the way, Spotify have replied, we have detailed content policies in place and we've removed over 20,000 podcast episodes related to COVID and the start of the pandemic. It's their platform, man. There's a freaking load of shit going on in the world right now. 1984. You are being watched. Anyway, please hit the share button, share this content if you can, if you're allowed to, and don't use the C-word, COVID, the V-word, vaccine, the P-word, pandemic, the L-word, lockdown. Don't put it in your title, don't even say it, don't even— oh, did you just think the word pandemic? You thought the word. The bots are in your mind. You're gonna get cancelled for thinking the word COVID. Man, hit the share button. Oh no, wait, before you do, um, I never ever would cancel anyone for their opinion. Now of course, if their opinion created violence and abuse, that needs to be deleted, or policy— there needs to be a policy on that. But other than that, we have to all be allowed to share our opinion, I believe, whether, whether you agree with me or not. I actually quite like people not agreeing with me because I always learn something new, and I don't mind being challenged. And you all know that because many of you do openly challenge me, and I always learn from you as well as you learning from me. So I have a podcast called Disruptors, and there is full freedom of speech. And by the way, the full episode I interviewed with David Icke, the full episode I interviewed with, um, Peter Shiff. All the bits I had to take out for YouTube, all the stuff you couldn't say, is on my podcast, The Disruptive. Well, it's actually now been rebranded as Disruptors. So I'm just going to give you a link. It's robmoore.com/pod. Rob Moore.com/pod. You've got some content-related gifts on that page, so go grab them as a gift from me. But also on the thank you page, there's a link to my, um, Disruptors podcast. Go and subscribe, where it's probably one of the few places left on this planet where you can actually get information that is not somehow edited or policed or accused of misinformation, etc. robmoore.com/pod. Um, and you know what, I got banned on YouTube. But I can't get banned on my own podcast, and I think you've got to learn the lessons from me. I'm putting the link up at the top here on Clubhouse as well, real quick. RobMoore.com/pod. So here are the lessons from this. Number 1: fight for your right for freedom of speech. Fight for other people's right for freedom of speech. Do not use words like misinformation as a weapon. Um, do not reverse leverage and blackmail other people and platforms just because you don't agree. If you don't want to be associated, then walk away or create your own platform. Do not rely on one social media channel. You have a single point of failure. Make sure you set up your own platforms and channels. I have Rob.team, I have my podcast Disruptors, and I cannot get canceled from them. And as a warning from me, because I've got a very prolific YouTube account banned for 90 days It's our second strike in a row. Do not use the P word, the V word, the L word, or the C word. Don't even use it in your titles. Don't even say it on a live. Don't even think it, otherwise your content will be cancelled. And finally, please hit the share button. Please hit the share button. Share this with as many people as possible because we are being controlled. And you know what, I kept my gob shut about it for a while because I just wanted to focus on what I could control. And I can control my small business, and I can control my products and services, and I can control my mindset. I can control all of this. I can't control YouTube. I can't control the machine. I can't control globalization and totalitarianism, you know, a New World Order and the Great Reset and all, and, you know, and cancel culture and censorship. I can't control it. But I now feel like it's gone too far, and I actually have to stand up and and step up and speak out. And yeah, I take risk of being deplatformed, but you know, I'll take that risk. Um, but I will never get deplatformed on my own podcast. So make sure you go to robmoore.com/pod. I've got some content-related gifts there. You know, if you want to be a creator, if you want to monetize social media, if you want to leverage the, you know, sort of the digital revolution that we're going on right now, if you want to take advantage of the sort of breaking down of mainstream media, all those, there's loads of gifts related to that at robmoore.com/pod. Go there now. I want to shout out to Amanda who's just hit the share button. Please hit the share button. And I'm going to carry on campaigning for small businesses. I'm going to carry on campaigning to get taxes down, campaigning to get support and subsidy up, campaigning to help us allow polarized discussion and debate without taking it personally and without using words. And platforms and, um, essentially blackmail as a weapon. So hit the share button. And by the way, if you have a small business or you're a startup scale-up entrepreneur, tag it in in the comments. Pitch away. I want you to get business from me. I'll be happy if you get business from and with me. Also, please tag other small businesses into the comments, um, because I think we need to get more support for the small business. You know, you have baby showers, We should have small business showers because running a small business is hard. I just celebrated the 15th anniversary of my first company, and you know what, that's not easy. Like, that is, that's a unicorn to do that. That is not easy to do. And so small businesses need support, and if the government keep putting up the taxes and keep reducing the support and subsidies, then more and more small businesses are going to die, and it's going to kill the economy, and we're going to have a 10-year depression. Unless we all speak up and unless we share, unless we stand together. So thanks for supporting me. Hit the share button. I'll see you in the next piece of content. Thanks for tuning in. And remember, if you want to get some gifts from me and subscribe to the Disruptors Podcast, I've got some big guests coming up on the podcast. And what I can't publish on YouTube and Facebook and Instagram and Clubhouse, I can publish completely unedited and uncensored on the Disruptors Podcast. So go to robmoore.com/pod right now. Hit the share button there on Facebook. I'll see you soon. And remember, if you don't risk anything, you risk everything.
