The New Energy & Gas War ⛔️

In this monologue, Rob Moore outlines what he calls a new "energy and gas war" affecting consumers. He explains the shutdown of the Nord Stream pipeline and the resulting loss of independent gas supplies to Europe, the escalation of energy price caps that have risen by several hundred percent, and the paradox of oil majors like BP and Shell posting record billions in profits while paying minimal corporate tax and facing no windfall tax from the UK government. Moore attributes this to governmental debt, lack of intervention, and policy failures, suggesting that the situation will persist and may fuel social unrest. He argues that individuals must adapt by becoming financially independent—starting side‑hustles, investing in inflation‑beating assets, and creating multiple income streams—since saving alone cannot offset rising costs. Throughout, he promotes his subscription platform rob.team, detailing its low‑cost masterclasses (including a 9‑module "How to Invest" series and a forthcoming "Money Saving Marathon") as the means to acquire the knowledge needed to survive and thrive in this new economic reality.
Chapters
There is a new war going on, and it's an energy and gas war. Well, actually, it's not— it's energy and gas wars. And much of the war is on you, the people, and your money. So I'm just going to share with you a few real things that are going on in this new energy and gas war, because you have to get used to the fact that your old energy and gas prices are over. Over. You just got to get used to it. The world has changed. It's not going to go back to how it was, but you have to adapt, survive, and hopefully thrive in this new world order and this new energy and gas war. So I don't know if you've seen the ding-donging with the Nord Stream gas pipeline, the main one out of Russia into Europe. Oh, it's closed down for maintenance. Oh, we're closing it down for a few days for maintenance. Oh, the G7 summit has agreed a price cap. Oh, it's going to be closed down indefinitely. And there has been a pipeline war, and I'm sorry, there's only one winner of that pipeline war. So any independent gas supplies into Europe and the UK, you probably got to assume you can't rely on that anymore. Now, our governments will sort of warned about this for many years and didn't create its own independent sources. Now a lot of people will say, yeah, but, um, gas is only one of many supplies of energy. You've got turbine, you've got solar, you know, you've got many types of energy source. Why didn't we become more independent more soon? Well, now we're probably regretting it. But the thing is, it seems like a big part of the price is pegged to the gas supply. Micah said it's a joke. It's an absolute joke. 'Who can afford to pay these extortionate prices?' You're absolutely right, Mike. I'm going to get into that in a moment, so don't go anywhere. So we've got the gas supply war and the Nord Stream main pipeline supply, which is likely to get closed indefinitely, let's be honest. Then you've got the price pegging to gas, even though we have many other supplies of energy. You have the major dependence in the UK on external energy sources. Now it gets worse, by the way. And to me, look, I'm quite in favor of free market capitalism. I'm definitely in favor of enterprising companies and people making fair and big profits and not wiping them out with taxation and intervention. However, Please answer me this. How can BP and Shell make record billions in profits, record billions, yet the price cap go up so much that people's heating has gone up 2, 3, 4, 500%, their electric has gone up 2, 3, 4, 500%, and probably next year if it goes in the same trajectory that it's going now, one-third of the population will not be able to afford their energy. How is this right? Please enlighten me, please. Now look, I'm— like I said, I'm not against companies making profits. BP and Shell, their company, their business is energy. They're in the business of energy. They're allowed to make profits. A lot of people are hating on them. I've got to say this: you can't blame a company for making profit. You've got to blame the government for not managing the flow of money better. So governments are supposed to intervene and step in and regulate markets. Now, when they do that too much, you move maybe more towards socialism and less towards capitalism. And when they don't do it enough, you get shit like this going on. They locked us down, they damaged many people's mental health, They ruined the production, the supply, wiped out so many small businesses, yet they won't do a windfall tax. They won't just fairly redistribute some of the profits from these massive oil companies. Why not? That begs the question: what's going on behind the scenes? What do we not know that they're not telling us? What do they not want us to know. Liz Truss said if you do windfall tax on these energy companies, it will stop investment into the UK. Well, they sent probably a trillion out in the sanctions against the oligarch billionaires. When they sanctioned Russia, they sent all the oligarchs home. Well, that stopped hundreds of billions in investment immediately overnight. Yet they did it. Uh, Jed Lee has said here, we all need to stand together. Yes, we do. We need to stand together. Stand up, speak out. Look, I'm not telling you to not pay your energy. I'm not telling you to go to London and protest. You've got to make your own decision. But at least share this video. At least speak up. Do not be scared to speak up because this cannot continue. Micah said New World Order revolution coming. I don't know about New World Order, um, definitely revolution coming. I hear you, Mike, and I, I feel people's anger. It is palpable for sure. This is unsustainable. So surely the good solution is to say to the energy companies, good on you for making a big profit, let's pass some of those savings down to the consumers, the people who can't afford their energy bills next year. Let's have a windfall tax. Now, by the way, again, I'm not a critic of people making money, but, um, BP paid about 3% corp tax, roughly. They made something like £6.4 billion last year. They paid something like £127 million. My figures might be a few out. I did do the research, but roughly, that's roughly 3% tax. How can they make record billions and pay 3% tax and no windfall tax while one-third of the working class, the poor, and the middle class will not be able to afford their electric and their heating next year? What is going on? Something's going on. Something is going on behind the scenes, and I'm not going to speculate because I don't know. But just answer me why. Right, so the government are in trillions of debt, so the government can't afford to support and subsidize. They'll give you a paltry little saving on your energy bills. Oh, £400 saving or subsidy out of £3,000, £5,000, or £6,000 a year bill. Wow. But they can't afford it. They're in trillions of debt with billions of interest. So for sure, there's a revolution coming. You must understand that the old prices are dead, the old way is dead. You must not just survive. You can't hide it out, ride it out, survive it out, and save it out. This is impossible. You must learn to earn. You must earn your way out, invest your way out, and create multiple streams of income to not just survive but thrive. Because clearly the governments don't look like they're going to windfall tax the record billions in profits of the energy companies. They look like they've got no leverage of the supply of gas coming into Europe. The government have got no money to support us anyway. And this shit is real. This is the new world order. It's just like you can't get used to 0.1% interest rates. Interest rates are going up and up and up and up, and you ain't gonna see 0.5% interest rates. For decades. And look, a lot of this is not fucking fair. It really isn't fair. We should speak out. You should share this. We should stand up. But the problem is, I can jump up and down and shout and scream and rant on these lives. You can share and you can speak out too. And we should, we absolutely should. We must not be silenced. However, what difference is it going to make? Boris is still going to be abroad setting up his post-career. Do you know Boris's solution? Well, if you've got a kettle and, um, you get a new kettle for £20, you can save £10 a year in your new kettle. Did you see that? Oh my God, that's his solution. Go buy a new kettle and save £10 a year. Oh, by the way, your heating's £3,500 a year, and then it'll be £5,000 a year, but just go buy a new kettle. Hell, what the fuck? Joke. Um, anyway, look, now it's solution time because one person called me the doom monger of Europe. Oh Rob, this is so negative. Oh Rob, I need some good news. There is good news, but you have to create your good news. You have to turn this into your advantage. You have to create your own reality. You have to take the opportunity. And here are a few things you can do. Number 1, you have to get used that the new way is the new way. The new world order and the revolution is coming. The old way is dead. You can't get used to 0.5% interest rates. You can't get used to, you know, £30, £40, £50 a month direct debits a month for your heating and your electric. It's gone. It's dead. But what you can do is start a business. You can start your side hustle, the one you've probably wanted to do for many years but you haven't yet. You can make sure that you turn your savings into investments and you invest in inflation beating assets. Yes, you can make sure you do lots of little saving tips and tricks, and I'm actually going to do some content for you on that because I want to help as many people as possible. But unfortunately, you can't hide away, you can't save away, you can't cut your costs down enough with the cost of living crisis like it is. You can't save your way out of it, and you can't cost enough. It's just impossible. Like, think about it, most people are spending more than they earn. Let's assume you're not, and let's assume you're saving 5 or 10 or 15% of your salary every month. Well, that's wiped out by inflation straight away. And then you've probably got at least a 20% increase in cost of living. So you're probably 30-35% worse off in reality with the increased cost of living and the decrease in money power through inflation. Andy has said, get to the point. Haven't I made the point? Uh, main pipelines being closed towards Europe, energy caps going up and up and up, and, um, prices Soaring by 400% plus. UK too dependent on other countries for energy even though we could access solar, turbine, wind, etc. Energy companies making record billions but no windfall tax. No help with the energy cap. Probably, um, some controls from the big corporations and energy companies in Government. Government in trillions of debt with billions of interest can't afford to help us out of this. Get used to this, this is the new way. There you go, they are my points. And now your solutions, here we go. Like I said, you don't want to save money because inflation is wiping it out. You cannot cut your costs down enough to cover the increased cost of living and inflation and energy. So you need to invest in inflation-beating assets that produce recurring income. You need to start a side hustle and a second business, uh, in order to create multiple streams of revenue. You need to smash your earnings up, and unfortunately, your employer probably can't put your wages up enough. And to do this, you need to know how to make, manage, and master money. You need to be more entrepreneurial. Do you know if you start a side hustle, you can actually claim a lot of expenses back as costs and you can get your tax down? Whereas if you're employed, you cannot and you never will be able to. This is the New World Order, and you can beat it by joining Rob.team. We'll do our best to help you. So quick summary, and please share this because the world needs to know this. There is a new energy and gas war going on. The main pipeline from Russia to Europe looks like it's going to be shut. Um, the energy price caps have gone up 100%, 200%, 300%, 400%, and who knows when they will ever stop. The old gas prices and energy prices, which now look really low, are probably dead and never coming back. The UK is overly dependent on, um, supply of energy from other countries. And even though we have other supplies of energy, it seems that the prices of all energy seem to be pegged to gas for some strange reason. Energy companies are making record billions, but the UK government are not windfall taxing them, and they're not distributing the profits down, and that's what the government's supposed to do. So they're not doing their freaking job, and it makes you wonder why. What's going on behind the scenes that they do not tell us? Why can BP make 6-point-odd billion in profit and only pay 127-ish million in tax? Why is there no windfall tax? Why is there no help? The energy price cap is supposed to be there to stop shit like this happening, but it's not. What's going on? Is there a revolution coming? Many of you have said this is the New World Order. You've got to get used to the fact that interest rates aren't going to be low like they were maybe for decades. You've got to get used to the fact that energy maybe is never going to be as low as it was again. And your solution, at least in the interim, at least the things that you can do is to join rob.team and learn and earn and invest your way out of this. Tiffany says rob.team has great content. She said join rob.team. Sabrina said the same. So open up a new page on the internet right now, type r-o-b dot t-e-a-m, and let me help you so you can help yourself. And the government are not going to give you that. So see you in Rob.team. Thanks for tuning in. I wonder if you might share this because I think the world needs to wake up to what's really going on and get used to this New World Order. Things are not going to go back to how they were, and if you don't risk anything, you risk everything.
