The Personal Brand is DEAD. This Will Replace it…

Rob Moore argues that personality brands beat traditional personal brands. He points to Steve Jobs, Elon Musk, and Richard Branson as examples of creators who won by showing distinctive character and opinions. Moore claims small creators can outcompete large ones through authentic personality, regardless of follower count.

Warning, the personal brand is dead, it's over, and this will replace it. But to be honest, most people have got wrong what a personal brand is. And people ask me all the time, should I have a profile or a page or a business page or a personal page? And they're completely missing the point. And actually, many of you shouldn't have a personal brand. And many companies, biggest companies in the world, are smaller than some of the new young up-and-coming creators on social media because of this. So the personal brand, I i.e., you just talking about yourself and you branding yourself and your business as you, is dead because most personal brands are boring. Actually, most company brands are boring, but there are some company brands winning and beating personal brands. I'm going to give you an example of this. Have you ever heard of Apple? Now, that's not a personal brand when it's supposed to be all about personal brand, yet that brand was based on a person, Steve Jobs. Have you heard of Tesla? That's not a personal brand, but that's based on the person Elon Musk. In fact, it's not even based on the person Elon Musk or the person of Steve Jobs. I'll tell you what it is in a minute. Have you ever heard of BrewDog? That's a disruptive company brand. Now Tesla and BrewDog and Apple are some of the world's or the UK's biggest companies, and they kick the ass of virtually any personal brand. But then you have that guy, um, I think he's called Kaby Lame, you know, the, the TikToker who doesn't even speak and now is like the brand ambassador for, um, Hugo Boss and is the biggest creator on TikTok. And like someone has said here, you have Virgin and Richard Branson. So here's why the personal brand is dead: because most personal brands are boring. So it is not about the personal brand, it is about the personality brand. And that's the difference most people don't understand. So one of the reasons, like, a little rant from me, born in a town just outside of London that no one's heard of, called Peterborough, where I am pretty— I think I am the biggest creator in this city. The reason I achieved this is because I am somewhat disruptive and somewhat ranty, and like me or not, I show my personality. Now, you can have a bland corporate machine that does billions in revenue and no one engages with on social media. And you can have a relatively unknown human who's got some personality and hutzpah who goes global and viral. You can also be a corporate and have a personality and be a massive individual and have no personality. So there are many massive entrepreneurs who've got no brand on social media because they don't show— they might have, but they don't show their personality. And there are massive corporations that turn over billions that have no engagement on social media because they don't show their personality. But there are also small people who are growing massive because they show their personality. And now there are big corporates who are being disruptive because they show their personality. Honestly, most people don't really like Tesla. They love Elon Musk. Teslas are fucking ugly. They buy into Elon Musk and his personality, and, you know, they use Twitter again because of Elon Musk and his courage and, you know, desire to speak freely and openly and because of his disruptive personality. And people bought the iPhone, yes, because it was a good device, but because of Steve Jobs's personality. So the personal brand is dead. The replacement is the personality brand. And this can be a big company, a little company. A big individual or a little individual. And this is great news for you because if you're a little company, you can disrupt the big companies. And if you are a small startup creator, you can disrupt the big creators because all you have to do is show your personality. Now, Simon has said, my passion fuels my brand. Yeah, it could be passion, it could be disruption, it could be ranting, it could be strong opinions, it could be what you stand for, it could be what you stand against, but you must show your personality. You could be technical, analytical, careful, cautious— it doesn't matter. But it is all about the personality brand, not the personal brand. And it's for this reason actually that I'm doing a brand new training on how to hit £5,000 cash flow on 3 hours a week. It's not easy, but it's simple. There's a system you need to follow, and it will involve disrupting a personal brand and becoming a personality. And it will involve disrupting social media and going from a consumer to a producer. So give me a yes in the comments if you like the thought of this, if you like the thought of disrupting bigger businesses in your space or bigger creators in your space, if you like the idea of hitting 5 grand a month on 3 hours, or maybe a bit more, but it can be done if you're disciplined, a week. Give me a yes in the comments if you'd like to turn content into cash flow, ideas into income, what you already know into cash flow. Oh shit, I've just put the wrong link. So the link is tiny.cc/ripbrand. That's tiny.cc forward slash R.I.P. Brand. Go there right now. This, by the way, this closes in a few days. It's coming in a few days' time. I'll sponsor your place as a thank you for following my work. I don't usually, um, give away free advice because it's worth every penny other than on the free social platforms. But you know, usually if you want education, training, Zooms, masterclasses, etc. with me, there are fees attached. I'll sponsor you. And there's a lot of noise out there and you need to get clear. So the link is tiny.cc/RIPBrand because the, you know, the, the corporate brand was killed years ago by the personal brand. The personal brand is now being killed by the personality brand. And you can be big company, small company, big individual, small individual, and you can win and disrupt if you are able to disrupt with a personality brand and show your personality. And the good news is you don't need any followers, you don't need any experience to start this. And virality is now not about how many followers you have, it's about the kind of content that social media deems that it wants to show. So if you're starting out, you haven't got any followers, this is good news for you. If you want the systems to start from scratch and hit, um, £5,000 a month on 30 minutes a day content creation— by the way, there's some tips to help you do this. You can obviously put more into it, but you know, content repurposing and content leverage and, you know, monetizing multiple social media channels, these are hacks that can help you scale. I don't really like social media, if I'm honest. I just do it because it's the best way to generate leads and clients and virality and interest and you know, to get yourself globally recognized, whether it's for customers or monetization or personal brand. So I, I don't love it. I, I just learned to do it because, um, it's really good for business. And I will go where you can find your clients for free. Your other alternative is to spend a load of money on ads. And I have now pretty much 3 million followers on social media and my email subscriber database built from scratch. And so it's very leverageable. And I've done tens of millions on social media for free in sales. So, um, the link is tiny.cc/RIPBrand. I've shared the link in the comments. I'm going to subsidize your place on this, um, because
