So I'm very sad to announce that the Queen has just died. It's just been broken, the news. It's actually not on the BBC News website yet, but, um, the Queen has just died. And, um, I know a lot of people have their own views on the monarchy and whether it's the right way to govern our nation. And I know a lot of people have their own views on the royal family, but, um, I just wanted to just say a few words. So you may have heard the news, you may not, but the Queen has just died. And, um, Meghan and Harry don't live in the UK anymore, and I think that it was great for her that, um, they could be in the UK when it happened. It almost feels like that was some serendipity. Um, and I don't know any leader in the world that, um, did so much for so many. I don't know. Like, just imagine the commitments that she had Who would ever have so many commitments to do all day, every day? And she did them for 70 years. Like, we complain that we have to do things for 7 hours. Did you ever hear her complain? No, no, you didn't. Um, she had her husband die last year. She had the breakup of Harry out of the royal family and the Harry and Meghan. She had Prince Andrew and all of the scandal around Prince Andrew. Um, she had so many difficult, hard, horrendous things happen in the last few years. Yet she still did as many of her appearances as she could. And I thought she was a great leader and someone who we should admire and aspire to be like. Like I said, I know that some people don't, um, necessarily support the royal family or the monarchy, but that doesn't mean that we can't and shouldn't pay our respects to an amazing leader who gave— dedicated her whole life to serving this nation. And it's amazing that she's 96 years old. That is amazing, isn't it? And so I just wanted to let you know that unfortunately this has happened, that the Queen has just died. And, um, Kieran has just said, why would she complain, she has everything? I don't think you have any idea, being in that position, the responsibility and the pressure. And how can you have everything when your husband died this year and your grandson has evicted himself from your family, and you're— one of your sons and the whole Diana issue, and then another one of your sons, Andrew, in all of this. I don't think that she did have everything. I think she had the, the— a huge responsibility that I don't think anybody else could have done as good a job as her. And I think I agree with Stephen. I think she's an amazing role model for the UK. And so I just want to pay my respects and say that I, um, my sympathies to the royal family, and that I think she was an amazing leader, whether you agree with the monarchy or not. And I think we should pay our respects. And that's what I'm doing. So here I am paying my respects to the Queen. I think we should all pay our respects to the Queen. You can appreciate someone for being an amazing leader and dedicating their entire life to a worthy cause, even if you don't necessarily agree with the monarchy or their leadership And there's a lot of people saying some not particularly nice things. I don't take any credit— responsibility for that, and you're entitled to your opinion, but she's just died, so maybe we should just be nice and warm and kind and pay our respects. So exactly, Rob Moore, London Bridge is Down, I think that's what they call it. Rest in peace, the Queen. I think you're an amazing woman who's done amazing things for our nation and the world. 70 years on the throne exactly, Tim. Wow, I mean, that is unbelievable. Amazing, strong woman. Very strong woman with all the stuff that's happened around her. Very strong woman. Um, and I'm not even really saying this from a, you know, a British nationalistic point of view. I'm just saying it as an amazing person and a strong woman. Um, with all the awful things that have happened to her recently. So I just wanted to pay my respects. Unfortunately, I didn't want to have to share this news, but I have shared this news, um, that the Queen has just passed away. Well, we've just been told she's passed away, even so much that it's not even on the BBC website because they're a little bit slower normally. Um, and I wonder if you might share this and, um, share this on your social media and share in our good wishes to the royal family, our condolences. And pay our respects to the Queen because she's a fucking amazing woman. Thanks for tuning in.
