The quickest way to $100K in a crash— housing crash, economic crash, in a downturn. People ask me all the time, how do I invest my money and what's the best way right now to start a side hustle or get a return or make some money? And I'm going to share with you what I believe to be the best way to make $100K clear and quick even in a recession or a crash, and maybe it's even better because of the recession or crash. A couple of things I need to give you for context. The first thing is what's not going to work, and the second thing is the fundamentals built upon which I will give you the strategy. So what's not going to work right now is saving your way. You can't save $100K. Can you save $100K a year with the cost of living going up like crazy, inflation going up like crazy, now interest rates going up like crazy? Your energy, your food, your fuel, everything. Food going up so much, you can't save your way out of this cost of living crisis. And there's a lot of well-meaning people giving really bad advice. Oh, save your money, just cut your expenses, don't have an extra coffee a year, save your £3 a millennium. You can't save your way out of this. It's absolutely impossible because of just how much The cost of living has gone crazy, and just because how much tax has gone up and inflation has gone up and quantitative easing has gone up and currency value has gone down, blah blah blah. So you can't save your way out of this. You can't put your money in the bank, it's going down in value. The banks don't guarantee it. I've done a shitload of lives on it. Watch some more of my lives. Okay, so what you can do other than rob a bank, Anthony, is you can earn extra income, launch a side hustle, create extra income streams. Like, let's say you wanted an extra 20% a year. Let's say it is so much easier right now to earn an extra 20% than it is to save an extra 20%. And by the way, I didn't say easy, I just said easier, because no one can save 20% because they haven't got it. So you've got to look to start an extra side hustle business. Now here are some fundamentals. You should take notes here, by the way. Here are some fundamentals for you on good business models to start, one, in a recession or crash, and two, with relatively low startup capital and high speed to set up. So the first thing you want to think about is what can you do work from home or work from anywhere? What can you do from an internet cafe, on your laptop or your mobile phone? So online courses comes to mind. Coaching, consulting, mentoring, you know, on the phone or on Zoom comes to mind. Have an online shop, that comes to mind. What you can't do is physical retail, manufacturing, etc. So work from home, work anywhere, laptop, phone, remote. The next thing is what could be low startup cost and then have low ongoing overhead. So obviously low startup cost is not a shop where you need a load of premises. 40 years ago, you'd have to go to the bank manager and beg him and get a bank loan for your retail outlet and your stock and your plant and machinery, and you'd be in masses of debt for the rest of your life before you even started your business. So things like, again, coaching, consulting, mentoring, online courses, information, etc., these are low startup capital and low ongoing overhead. So if you don't need a load of staff and you don't need a lot of premises and you don't need a lot of stock and you don't need a big invention or years of intellectual property built up, then that's helpful. The next thing you want to think about is how— what can you set up quickly? So, um, anything on the internet can be set up quickly. You just go and set up the account. Anything on social media can be set up quickly because you can just launch on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, podcast, etc., you name it. The next thing is, where can you reach the most people? So on the high street, it's hard to reach people. If you're a local business, it's hard to reach people. But if you are a global business, if you are an internet business, if you can reach all your customers on social media— now, for example, all my Rob.team members, all nearly 10,000 of them, have come from mostly Facebook and occasionally on Zooms. And a few other online platforms, but really it's virtually all on social media. So Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, podcast— can you find your customers for that business there? Because if you can't, again, it's going to be harder. Then the final thing to think about— so we've done work from home, work from anywhere, low startup, low overhead, quick setup. Internet, social media, information. Then the next thing is passion into profession, profession into profit, information into income, content into cash flow. And this— I like this better than Amazon FBA or e-com. So Jack has just said Amazon FBA and e-com, good business model in many ways, but you still got the fulfillment aspect, you still got the stock holding. Aspect, even if it's dropshipping. So I like information because every one of you watching this live has information that others would buy, a hobby that others would be interested to learn, a passion that you could monetize— fishing, chess, business, entrepreneurship, well-being. Acupuncture, tapping, you name it, you name it, people will pay for it. Now, they might not pay a million pounds, they might not pay £100,000, they might not pay £1,000, but they pay £20 a month, £30 a month, £50 a month, £10 a month. And that leads me to the best side hustle business model. The best way to make £100K in the current climate, in a crash, is launching your own membership site. Now I have Rob.team.
