The Ultimate Freedom: you’ve been sold a LIE

Rob Moore argues that freedom isn't doing whatever you want, it's having enough money to say no. After building a business with 110 staff, he says true freedom requires hard work and recurring income, not entitlement. He's promoting his Moneymaker Summit to teach wealth building and tax reduction.

The ultimate freedom. You have been sold a lie. Do what you want, where you want, when you want, with who you want. This is a fantasy you are sold. Now, I started my business 20 years ago, and you know what I naively thought? Well, people will work for me I won't have to have a boss. I won't be answerable to anyone. I can do what I want, where I want, when I want, with who I want. This is a fucking fantasy. You have been sold a lie and you need to watch this very carefully because you can absolutely have the means for freedom. So health freedom, wealth freedom, time freedom. You absolutely can have the means by being financially secure. I.e., if you want to travel, you can. If you're ill and you need to go private, you can. If there's people you don't want to hang around with or people you don't want to work for, you don't have to because you have the financial means. So people do not put a big enough importance on financial freedom. I'd argue that the ultimate freedom is vast wealth because people think that freedom is the ability to say yes to who you want, where you want, when you want. But actually, it's the freedom to say no. No, I don't want to work for that company or that boss. No, I don't want to wait 6 months on the NHS. No, I don't want to travel economy class and still pay a load of money. No, I don't want to be stuck in this country when I want to be in this country. No, I don't want to pay all these taxes. No, I don't want to be locked down. So actually, you've been sold a lie in many ways as to what freedom really is. And I know because I fell for the lie. And I'm 20 years in, and it's only in the last few years I've actually observed what freedom really is. So step 1 is really the only true measure of freedom is how wealthy you are because with money, it buys you means and choices. And people say, oh, well, the best things in life are free. No, no, no. The best things in life are fucking expensive. Time with your family is really expensive because that means not working and that means not earning. So the ultimate time with your family means you need passive income from assets so you don't have to exchange your time for money. Going to beautiful places, living in a beautiful house, having great health and well-being is very expensive. So really, the main ultimate freedom is financial freedom because then it cascades down and gives you all the other choices. However, I want to bust this myth. So how arrogant is it for anyone to think, well, I want to do what I want, where I want, when I want, with who I want, and everything else and everyone else can fuck off because I want freedom? I want this husband or wife to do everything I want for me. I want the kids to do everything I want for me. I want my staff to do everything I want for me. This is just pure arrogance. Well, it's actually naivety. So with children, many parents raise their children wanting them to be a mini-me or protecting them from the things that they felt pain in and giving them the opportunities. But it's based on the selfish needs of the parent, not the actual needs of the child. And I learned this the hard way because I raised my son to be the best golfer in the world. He was third best golfer age 6. He retired age 7 because he didn't want to be the best golfer in the world. I wanted him to be the best golfer in the world. So I was living my life through him, and that was inherently selfish. I mean, there were upsides, of course, but it was inherently selfish. So actually, my goal for my children isn't for them to do what I want. My goal for my children is for me to raise as great a human as I can. And that's hard. That's really hard. That means there's all sorts of shit that I have to sacrifice. And this is the thing with freedom— do what I want, when I want, where I want, with who I want. It's selfish and it's entitled, and it's not facing the reality of hard now, easy later. So I can't do any content on social media without having a load of haters and trolls. I can't. So it's selfish of me to think that I can say what I want and have no one criticize or tell me. That's just juvenile. That's, that's naive. It's not how it works. So the ultimate freedom is having the means to do what you want, where you want, when you want, with who you want, but then also the strength and fortitude to earn the right. I.e., if I want to hang around the right people, I've probably got to pay to get in because the right people probably— I want them to lift me up. Now, no one was born to lift you up, but you have to pay to play to get into the right people. If you want time with your family, then you have to earn it by working fucking hard and investing in assets that pay recurring income. So then you've time with your family. And if you want to raise an— if you want to have an amazing relationship, they will challenge you equally to, um, supporting you. Because a lot of people think, oh well, I want a partner who will do this, this, and this, and this, and this, and this, and this for me. No, no, no. You're— the more you want from a partner, the more you'll attract the opposite partner that will challenge those beliefs to get you to own your disowned parts. So it's inherently selfish, people's desire for freedom. Freedom is knowing you have the flexibility and the adaptability to roll with change and spend more time with people who you want, but know that you're going to attract people who you don't want. Do more of what you want, but you know you're gonna have to do hard shit when you have to do all this, you know, in the, um, in the pursuit of all the things that you want to do. Go where you want, but know that often that's not actually the utopia that you think. And really what it is, is understanding that you have a responsibility as well as the ability to have freedom. And I learned this because I have 110 staff in my training businesses and letting agency. And naively, when I started my business, I thought, well, they'll work for me. No, I work for them. I work harder than all of them. And I work for them, or they work for themselves. They do not work for me. They're not working to pay my mortgage. They're working to pay their mortgage. So the day that I understood that people don't work for me, they work for themselves, and I am grateful to be able to give them the vehicle that helps them earn, and grateful to pay all the taxes even though I don't like them, then everything changed. People don't work for you, they work for themselves. No one gives a fuck about your desire for freedom, they give a fuck about their own. And when you balance these two opposing forces, then and only then do you have true freedom. So I've been thinking about how can I help you achieve more freedom. And like I said, I specialize in financial freedom. My mission is to help as many people on this planet get better financial knowledge. And I think when you have money, you have the ability to say no. No to economy class. No to staying in the UK. No to putting your kids into, you know, a shit school. No to eating unhealthy food. You say no, no, no, no, no. That's freedom. But in order to be able to say no to everything, you have to be rich. It's just— there is no other way. Because you want to say no to paying taxes, you need a bloody good accountant. You need to know the tax law better than anyone else. You want to say no to working in a job you don't like for a boss you don't like, you have to have your own businesses that pay recurring income. So there's a reframe that's needed from society and from what you've been sold as the lie to what freedom really is. No one is born with the right to do what they want, where they want, with who they want. That's why we have laws in place. You can't just go murder someone. You don't actually have freedom of speech because you can't incite violence, and nor should you. So because of this reframe of freedom, of finances being the main source of freedom, I invite you to join the Moneymaker Summit Live. Now, the Moneymaker Summit Live focuses on financial freedom, and that cascades down to help you be able to finance all other forms of freedom. Because you have to buy time. You don't just get given time. You have to produce in society. So you have to buy time. You exchange time for money. And then you store that money. And you buy time. Now, if you exchange your time for assets, and assets produce recurring income, you don't have to buy time. The assets buy the time. This is the trick. And I'm going to teach you how to do all of this at the Moneymaker Summit live. So the link to join the Moneymaker Summit, we've actually just added a new date. Because the last one sold out. And, um, it's robmoore.live/money. You need to make money more important to you. You need to make money your servant but not your master. And if you can't afford to upgrade to business class, you can't afford to pay to jump queues, If you can't afford to live somewhere great, if you can't afford to put your kids through a great school, if you can't afford to buy time whenever you need, you know, maybe to support your family when they're ill, then you don't have freedom. So sort your finances first. And that's what the Moneymaker Summit is all about. Gosha said, I've been to the Moneymaker Summit. The VIP tickets are the best and it's an amazing platform to join. She really recommends it. So you'll see on the page, robmoore.life, money. I do offer subsidized tickets. My foundation pays for some people to come. It's not a free event because free advice is worth every penny. There may be some left, they may be gone. The VIP upgraded ticket is by far the best because for less than I spend on coffee in about 10 days— I drink a lot of coffee— um, you can get dinner with me and the other, um, 8 and 9-figure entrepreneurs. We had a billionaire speak at the last event. You can get champagne reception Q&A sessions with entrepreneurs who've got 20 years experience each. Um, you get money mindset sessions each morning, private ones with the VIP ticket holders, and there's a 15-hour How to Raise Money Online course. I can afford to add that in with the VIP ticket instead of charging you £700 for that because I've already recorded it. And people say to me, Rob, I want to do this, but I'm struggling financially. So if you don't have the money you want, that's why you need to join and come to the Moneymaker Summit. There's no risk. If you get a VIP ticket and you come to the event and at the end of the day, the third day, you don't absolutely love it, come and tell me face to face because I'm there doing 5 speeches and I will give you your VIP ticket and your hotel and accommodation money straight back. Because I don't want your money unless it's absolutely transformative for you. I became financially free in my late 20s, millionaire before age 31. Decker, 10x by age 35. So I've been through this journey and I know how transformative it is, and I know how it buys freedom. But I also know it's not an easy journey. And all this, hey, do what you want, where you want, when you want, with who you want, that's what freedom is, you can be free— it's a lie. You've been sold a lie, I'm afraid. Gosha said you can have a chat with me. Absolutely, I'm there for all 3 days. I do 5 keynote speeches. I just want to make sure that you have a realistic expectation of what freedom is. Freedom is money, because that's our universally agreed exchange, and choice. But choice comes from having the money, otherwise you can't choose. So that's all at the Moneymaker Summit Live. Natasha said the Moneymaker Summit is the go-to event for 2025, best financial investment for anyone wanting to gain more financial knowledge. Really appreciate you. Thank you. Um, yeah, I saw you, Gosha, sat on the front row in your, um, in your kinky boots asking questions. So yeah, the link is robmoore.live/money. I'm on a mission to help as many people on this planet get better financial knowledge. Absolutely, we need to reframe what you've been sold as the lie of freedom. No one gets to choose to do what they want, where they want, when they want, with who they want unless they have the financial means to do it. And they earn the right through initial hard work. And at the Moneymaker Summit Live, as well as having 6, 8, and 9-figure entrepreneurs, I'm also doing 5 keynote speeches. My 5-step framework of going from zero to 6 figures, my 6-step framework, my 5-step framework of going from 6 to 7 figures, my 8 stages of how to go from zero to multimillionaire, and some special bonus sessions like the 90-minute session on how to get your tax bill down. Because if you've got some form of wealth, you can afford a good accountant and you can get your tax bill down. O.J. Simpson knows a good story about being able to afford a lawyer, doesn't he? That gave him freedom. If he was broke, he would be in jail for the rest of his life. Just leave on that one. So thanks for tuning in, really appreciate you. Gosia's coming back to the Moneymaker Summit. Make sure you join her. The link is robmoore.live/money.
