This Biggest Cost of Living Increase Will Shock You

In this monologue, the speaker argues that, contrary to popular belief that housing is the biggest cost‑of‑living driver, education has risen the most since the year 2000—up 178% in the UK, outpacing housing, food, and energy. He critiques the university fee structure, student loans, and the broader education system as a financial scam that burdens graduates with lifelong debt, while housing can at least become an appreciating asset. To counter this, he promotes his Global Money School (rob.team), a subscription‑based platform costing less than 20 pence a day, offering masterclasses on finance, investing, tax reduction, and business ideas for 2025. He highlights his own credentials—$250 million in sales, 100 staff, 400 rental properties, 3 million social‑media followers—and positions the platform as a disruptive, affordable alternative to costly degrees. The talk ends with a call to action to join rob.team, emphasizing personal liberty, lower taxes, and the need to challenge the current education and tax systems.

This biggest cost of living expense will shock you because everyone's talking about housing being the biggest cost of living expense and going up the most, and how housing's been going up way above inflation, uh, way above wage increases, and therefore how housing's become completely unaffordable. And whilst I kind of agree, it's a bit of a shocker because it's actually not the highest increasing expense. And I can't even believe I'm saying this, but it's not even the most important one. Yes, we all need a house. Um, however, food's gone up loads, as you know. I mean, eggs are up 60% in what, 2 to 3 years? Um, obviously we know energy's gone through the roof, and that was a massive scam, wasn't it, where Heating and eating were like the two biggest expenses people were struggling with in lockdown, but yet energy and food companies were making record profits. Like, it's all completely wrong. It's all wrong. Anyway, this is the biggest wrong. So since the year 2000, do you know what your general expenses are that's gone up the most? I thought it would be housing because that's gone up a lot. I definitely thought energy and food might be up there. But it's education. And since the year 2000, so not even 25 years, education has almost doubled. In the UK, it's up 178%, and education is up more than housing. And to me, that is wild. Like, if you think about what's the most important basic thing for humanity, of course housing is needed. But surely education is the bedrock of society, of the economy, of raising, you know, great productive, well-balanced, you know, good socially aware children. And yet we're doomed. And why is education even such a big expense? I remember I was the last year where education was free at university. And then after that they banged the fees on. And then they keep putting the fees up and up and up. And then there's the loans that they get you— they— I was going to say they give you, they definitely don't give you the money. They loan you the money, there's all the interest. There's the education fees, there's the living accommodation. And it's now something like £45,000 the average 3-year college degree will cost. And then you may get a £26,000 on average salary. And it will probably take you a year to get that job. And then you'll be in debt for the rest of your life. This is utter nonsense to me, a massive scam. At least with housing, you own a house, it goes up in value. So it's expensive to get in, but you maybe have an asset there that goes up in value because you own it and it beats inflation. But education is the highest expense in terms of inflationary costs since the year 2000. And to me, that is all wrong. All wrong. This is why I do this massive free content on social media, and this is why I launched my Global Money School, rob.team. So my Global Money School, which is currently called rob.team, big relaunch coming soon, by the way, and you can get in on the pre-relaunch price. My Global Money School is designed to help as many people on this planet get better financial knowledge, to help you make, manage, and multiply money. To make people aware of all these things that are wrong with the education system. It's basically an admin fee, it's virtually free, costs less than 20 pence a day, which is not what the education system costs you. It's not £45,000 in 3 years, I can tell you that. It's actually less than I paid for coffee this morning, half the price of Netflix a month. You can cancel anytime, no ongoing contract. So if you'd like to join me in disrupting the education system, getting better financial education knowledge, learning how to invest, learning how to earn money, learning how to save money, learning how to get your tax bill down. I've got masterclasses on all of these, hundreds of hours of courses, resources, and masterclasses. Here's what you need to do. It's really easy. Just join Rob.team, my global money school, and you just type in R-O-B dot T-E-A-M. So just go now, open a webpage, and type in rob.team. Rob dot team. I've got to say this one more time. I cannot believe that the biggest increase in costs over inflation, by the way, is education. Surely it should be free, or as close to free as we can get. If you join Rob.team, then in a few months you could probably learn more than any degree, certainly in terms of business, finance, etc. In fact, people have said that Rob.team, the membership there, they've learned more than they learned in their whole degree. And it's going to cost you a few quid a month instead of £45,000 over 3 years. I am disrupting the education system. I was going to say what I teach they're not going to put into schools, but I am actually doing a talk at Eton College on entrepreneurship. However, the school system is of the industrial age and it's designed to get you in a job that serves the system and paying taxes and getting into debt and paying interest and being a good boy and girl and, you know, just keeping your head down and working for the rest of your life. And then when they extend your pension retirement age from 50 to 55 to 60 to 65 to 70 to 75, and then when they spend all your pension money, you just got to comply, be quiet, own nothing, be happy. And I don't stand for that. I stand for personal liberty, sovereignty, and freedom. I believe that you should do something useful to society and help as many people on this planet with what you can do and what you know and what you can learn in Rob.team. And then I believe you should be paid handsomely fairly for that. I believe that the government should not be taking two-thirds or three-quarters of it in tax and then wasting it, putting it into the black hole of the public services that don't even work. This is all wrong. And you know, inside my Money School, Rob.team, we've got tax saving masterclasses going live in a few weeks' time. We've got the best business models for 2025. I've got a 15-hour Money Mastermind University on how I would design financial education and personal finance, you know, if I ran education. And, you know, I run a real-life economy, you know, i.e., a business. And I've done $250 million in sales, and, you know, I hire 100 staff, and I've got 3 million followers on social media, and I've got I've got 400 tenants in my property portfolio. So I'm actually really doing this, whereas, you know, the Education Secretary and, you know, the people in the Treasury— Rachel Reeves has never owned her own business. You know, supposedly the top money person in the UK, never run a business. This is all bonkers. Anyway, education needs to change, and I'm going for it in my money school. And if you want to join and be part of it and be part of our community and get better education and knowledge and be a bit disruptive and push back against the system, get your tax bill down and get your income streams up and learn business ideas that work in 2025, learn how to run your own personal real economy, all of this stuff, there's hundreds of hours of courses, resources, and masterclasses in rob.team. I'll see you there. We've got a great movement and we need to push back on the system because education should not be costing 5 grand over 3 years, and it should not be the single biggest living expense that's been going up since the year 2000. That's completely wrong. Thanks for tuning in, and remember, if you don't risk anything, you risk everything. Natasha has just said, I learned so much on rob.team, I'd recommend it to anyone who wants more financial education. Thank you very much, and I'll see you in rob.team. Just type r-o-b dot t-e-a-m in any web page. I'll see you there.
