UK government U-turn shambles

In this monologue, the speaker, an entrepreneur and content creator, delivers a passionate critique of the UK government’s handling of the 2022 mini‑budget and subsequent U‑turn under Prime Minister Liz Truss. He condemns Truss’s rapid reversal of growth‑focused policies, the dismissal of Chancellor Kwasi Kwarteng as a scapegoat, and the pressure from the IMF, Bank of England, and backbenchers that forced a rollback of tax cuts. The speaker argues that raising taxes is counter‑productive, citing the Laffer curve and advocating a flat 20 % tax rate to stimulate growth. He links high taxation and bureaucratic waste to a looming depression, emphasizing the need for entrepreneurship, reduced regulation, and investment to revive the economy. The latter part of the video shifts to self‑promotion, offering free mastermind sessions, a Telegram “Disruptors Group,” and various giveaways, positioning his personal brand as a source of financial and business guidance amidst political chaos.

UK government U-turn shambles. Let's turn on the light because what an absolute joke our country has become. I'm actually embarrassed to be a UK citizen thinking about what the rest of the world must think about our government. And I'm really sad to say that the admiration I had for the strength of vision and purpose of Liz Truss has completely gone. And everything she, she said about what her leadership would be, she's U-turned in, in 38 days, and Kwasi Kwarteng is a complete fall guy. How can you judge the UK Chancellor in 38 days? And he's been axed to save Liz Truss's skin. She's hanging on by a thread. Meanwhile, Our country is being used as a punch bag. And how can we now have any faith in leadership when a little bit of pressure from the Bank of England and a little bit of pressure from the backbenchers, and all of a sudden everything about the new policy of growth, better standard of living for all, is just completely gone? Where are the growth plans now? Where's the increased living standards for all now? And to me, this is one of the darkest hours in politics in a long time, because it just stinks of not being about what's right for the country, not being about what's right for the people, not being about what's right for our future. But about political brinkmanship and saving your ass so you can keep your seat. And I think it's highly embarrassing. And how can you give tax breaks and then take them back? Every business owner in the UK is going to absolutely hate Liz Truss now. Oh, let's have some help on it, let's take it back. So I was pretty supportive of what I thought Liz Truss was trying to do. From what I could see, she was trying to give a bit back to the people for a fucking change and incentivize growth and have a plan to try and grow the economy back. And I thought it's a solid a plan as I've seen in 3 years. So, you know, I know a lot of people are saying, oh, you've got to put taxes up, but the problem with putting taxes up is, all right, it gets some short-term extra revenue for the government, but the government are fucking spending it like there's a black hole in their budget. They spent £500 billion in the lockdown. They're over £2 trillion in debt. So it's all very well putting our taxes up more. I mean, you know, the people who don't earn a lot of money or are a little bit underprivileged, they're quite happy to see the rich taxed. But what they don't understand is they can keep taxing the rich and the rich until the rich have no more money. Then the rich leave, and then the rich don't— the rich avoid the taxes because the taxes are too high. The government actually get less money. But even if the government get more money in the short term in taxes, they're just fucking wasting it all. They are wasting it all. Spending tens and hundreds of billions. So increasing taxes is not the answer. And anyone who doesn't like the rich or anyone who supports Labour, I'm sorry, increasing taxes is not the answer. They're already too high. Do you know our tax rates are one of the highest in the world now? I think Australia and Japan, I think they have higher tax rates than us. Our tax is already really fucking high. And if you bite the hand that feeds you, if you stop businesses and employers and innovators and entrepreneurs and disruptors and people who grow the economy, if you stop them from growing the economy, the economy dies. And she came in and she was like, I understand how to help grow the economy, so I'm going to try and give a bit back to the people and incentivize and encourage growth. And then within 38 days she sacks the chancellor. It's not his fault, he's just the fall guy. So he's a fall guy and she's clearly a puppet. She's a puppet to her backbenchers, she's a puppet to whoever's— the IMF, the Bank of England, whoever controls this. I never really thought I'd be saying this because I'm not a big conspiracy theorist, but I just feel like she's a puppet. And I really feel bad saying this because I thought what she did was brave and bold, and I thought it had a good chance of succeeding. But then let me look at it from another point of view. By the way, I'd love, love to hear your thoughts in this. So Ian has said, 'Never seen a rich person at the food banks.' What sort of nonsense comment is that? A lot of rich people are the people who put all the food in the food banks. A lot of the rich people are the people who are shipping all the food out to the third world countries and doing all the you know, the relief and the charity donations. This is the thing, like, it's a shame that there's sort of this divide between the rich and the poor. And I think we need a bit more togetherness. We need a bit less division, divisiveness in politics, in the, you know, the wealth gap. And we need a bit more of a coming together and a working together. Um, anyway, so here's the irony. There's pressure from the markets on Liz Truss to U-turn. I mean, let's be honest, right? The, the biggest thing was not the, um, slight reduction in, um, the 45p tax bracket. Wasn't really anything to do with the money. It was a tiny amount of money compared to all the money that they're spending. It's just the popularity contest. Politics has forgotten what it's about. We are supposed to govern our nations, look after our people, you know, lead and manage the greatest quality of life for the masses. Politics has long forgotten that. It's just brinkmanship and a popularity contest and short-termism and selfish interest and yada yada. So the irony is IMF, Bank of England, backbenchers, our own party, all pressure, pressure, pressure. Put that corporation tax back up to 110%. Get rid of all the tax reliefs because the markets had reacted badly and the pound was weak. And, you know, worried about foreign investment, worried about, um, UK's investability and borrowing rates going up into the UK from overseas in this 2. $2 trillion deficit and all this fear. So then all this pressure goes on Liz Truss, and then she just fucking sacks Kwasi, who's only really probably doing what Liz has told him to do. And then the markets react badly anyway. It is a massive joke, a huge joke. Borrowing costs went up anyway. So when Liz Truss U-turned, Borrowing costs to the UK went up anyway, and the pressure on Liz Truss to U-turn was pushing up borrowing rates in the UK. So she U-turned and they went up anyway. What a joke! What a joke! Imagine if you're looking in any other nation. What nation will I not lend my money to? Definitely not UK. They don't know what they're doing. They do not know what they're doing. Look, here's my opinion. It's just my opinion. The way we get out of an impending depression— because the more this happens, the more I just think that we're moving into a depression, a Great Depression— the only way that I can see out of it is growth, growth incentive. So, and for example, if we can have less people on benefits And if we can have more of them working, then we'll have more growth and we'll have less cost to the government. If we can employ more people, then we can have more production, more labor, more industry, and more growth. If we can encourage and incentivize people to start a business, build a product or service, start manufacturing and industry and creation and design, and tech, and if we can remove the friction, i.e., massive fucking taxes and lockdowns, and if we can remove all that friction and have companies in the UK start and then make it attractive for overseas money to invest in these UK manufacturing and production and innovation companies, that attracts money in, we grow and we start producing stuff again, we employ more people so unemployment goes down, which is less of a burden on the government, and then employment goes up. And then if they give us subsidies and grants and support to innovate, to design, to produce, and to hire, then all of a sudden we start— nearly just kicked my light over, I'm fucking angry about this— then all of a sudden we start to grow. It's economics. See, the thing is The government only know how to make money through tax, but they will make more money if they increase the GDP. If they increase revenue, they will make more money because increasing the tax reduces the revenue. They will get less tax because they're already past the Laffer curve. I don't know if you know the Laffer curve. Basically, if the government charge no tax, they make no money in tax. If they charge 100% in tax, they make no money in tax. Why? Because no one pays it and everyone leaves. And there's this Laffer curve. There's the optimum point, and I reckon it's 20%. I reckon it's a flat 20%. You get this Laffer curve. You charge nothing, you get nothing. You charge 100%, you get nothing. So you get up to maybe 20, 22% flat rate across the board. Fucking simple. And then you get maximum tax. But now they're charging 25% corp, 45% income, all the other taxes. They're charging so much they'll get less. Everyone will leave. Here's another thing, my business partner made this point. There are so many civil servants and they're not fucking working. Do you know the tax code is probably about a billion pages. Burn the tax code and charge a flat 20%. Everyone pays 20% flat. One page in the tax code, done. Oh, but wait a minute, 500 fucking staff in the government would have to get fired. Get rid of all that wastage. We're spending billions on this shit. The UK are now the laughingstock. The government U-turn is a complete shambles. There is no vision, there is no leadership. It's the tail wagging the dog. And it now just makes me think, well, the chancellor was a fall guy, the prime minister is a puppet, and what— where the fuck are we now? I'll tell you where we are now. We're even closer to a depression. We're even— not a recession, not a correction, but a depression. And it's embarrassing. It's embarrassing what's going on in UK politics. It really is. No one knows what they're doing. Not saying it's easy, not saying I'd do a better job. I'm not a politician, I'm an entrepreneur, but I know about a real economy. Because you've got all these economists and theorists, but a real economy is a business. Because you know the government do not run a real economy. So in a real economy, you have deficit and surplus, and you have to manage your deficit and your surplus. So if you're in deficit and you don't make that deficit up, in business that's called trading insolvently. And you can go to prison or be struck off as a director and not run a company again if you trade insolvently, if you're always in deficit. But our nation is now always in deficit. When are they gonna get into surplus or at least net zero? Oh, they'll just print a load more money, they'll just borrow more money from overseas. So they don't run a real economy. I have to run a real economy. I pay staff, and if they're productive, I hire them, and if they're not productive, they, they get let go. But the government have so many unproductive civil servants and they just keep them. And then they have lockdown parties. I thought lockdown and the lockdown partygate— I thought this was a new low for a UK government. To me, this is a lower Holy shit, right? Anyway, I could rant about this all day, but you know, therapy over. Let me know what you think in the comments. I can see a lot of comments, really enjoying reading them. Let me know what you, you think. So what do you think is really going on? Because I've been sort of slightly dismissing New World Order, Great Reset, own nothing, be happy, Agenda 2030, Klaus Schwab, you know, all of these sort of what people might regard as more conspiracy theorists. Although many people don't think they're conspiracies anymore. And, um, not that I'm not saying there's not any truth in it, not that I'm not saying there's some very, very powerful people in the world that probably could have a lot of influence on the world, but with what's happened with the complete capitulation of Liz Truss within a few days and the just literally the hatchet fall guy of, um, the UK Chancellor, it just makes me think she's just a puppet. It's just a puppet. Someone's got their hand up her ass. Finger puppet, hand puppet. It's just, it's made me think that. Got no proof of that. I know a lot of you have said that, a lot of you think that. I would love your, um, your thoughts on that. Um, right, so I always offer solutions at the end of my videos. Now I've definitely not got any solutions for UK government right now. It's just a mess. It's just the Conservatives scrapping to try and stay in power. A load of people hate the Conservatives. Would Labour have done a better job? Probably not. Who knows? I mean, it's politics. So I've got no solutions to UK politics. All I have got solutions to is how you can manage your economy well. You can make, manage, and multiply money. You can build assets, protect yourself, you know, not just survive but thrive. Save, invest, Learn, earn, etc. So here's what I'm going to do for you. I'm going to give you access to a 3-hour mastermind mentoring session with me in 2 sessions in a few days. And I'm going to do it completely for free. There'll be no charge and nothing to sell. And but the only way you can access it is through my new Telegram group. I've set up a new Telegram group and every week I'm giving away new bonuses. I've done loads of one-to-one calls for free as my way of giving back. Um, actually, if you join my new Telegram group and then join this, um, Zoom mastermind, you could win a shadowing day with me where you come to my offices where I have 100 staff. I'll show you around some of my big property projects, and we'll have a VIP lunch together, and I'll pay for that. So I've got all of these things going on in my brand new Telegram group. It's completely free to join. There's no selling, no spamming, nothing like that. Just once a week, I give you a fresh new bonus and giveaway and benefit. And coming this Thursday, I'm doing a 3-hour mentoring mastermind session to answer a lot of these questions on how you cannot just survive but thrive, you know, get— make better use of your money. Like, all this fear and pandemonium in the markets, just try and hone in on, okay, what's my mission? And make sure that you look after yourself and, you know, you're not affected by this. And you can ask me anything you like. And by the way, and that's only normally for my Rob.team members. So I've just shared the Telegram link in the comments. Can you see the Telegram link there? It says new Telegram bonuses group. Go and join that now. Go join that now, and then you can come back. And then once you're in my Telegram group, you're in there forever. It means you can get access to all my bonuses and giveaways. I probably will do more one-to-one calls. I am giving away £15,000 in, um, 2 weeks' time, and various other bonuses and benefits and giveaways that I'll do regularly. But in this instance, for this Zoom, you need to come in through my new Telegram group, um, and Yeah, I think you're going to get a lot of benefit from it. You can ask me anything you like. I'm not saying that I've got the answers to everything. I'm not a politician, but I am an entrepreneur. I have been for 16 years, done 9 figures in revenue, have hundreds of properties in my property portfolio, written 18 business-related books, got 2 of the most successful business podcasts in Europe, possibly in the world, and have been mentoring and supporting start-up and scale-up entrepreneurs for many years, like 15. So if you think I could help you in any way and you'd like to get access to that, then just go and join my new Telegram group. Instructions are there. There's a post in there right now with instructions. I won't charge for this. This is part of my foundation work for giving back, because let's be honest, it's so confusing and overwhelming in the world right now, and often we don't really know what to do. We don't know where to turn, and, you know, politics and media are just so It's just a mess, and I want to help give you clarity. So if you can't see the Telegram link, um, the link is, um, actually what you can do is download the Telegram app and search Disruptors Group. You need to have the Telegram app. It's basically a better version, in my opinion, of WhatsApp, and it's less sort of noisy and chatty. Um, but if you can't see the link in the chat, you should do because I've Posted it 3 times. Um, go and download the Telegram app, really quick and easy to download, um, good security, no, no charge. And then just search Disruptors Group. Lisa's just joined. Go join, come back. No, I wouldn't like to be Prime Minister. No, I wouldn't like to be in politics. I know people in politics who hate it. Um, I just think there's too much friction in there and you just can't You know, I do actually have sympathy for Boris through lockdown. I do have sympathy for Liz Truss. What can they actually do? How can they actually make a difference? Like, Liz Truss has tried, and then all of a sudden her party sort of turned on her, even though they voted her in on that basis. And also, you know, the big pressure from the big powers. Who knows what phone calls she's getting from people who control the world telling her what to do? Who fucking knows? Um, so anyway, I like to offer solutions. I like to help you become financially independent. I like to help you become financially secure, financially savvy, help you start and scale a business, create a side hustle, create extra income streams. So I'm going to share that Telegram link one more time. Hopefully you can see it in the comments. In fact, I've just pinned it. Look at me pinning it. Um, so go and join that. Come back. Quick summary is the government U-turn, I think, is an absolute mess and a shambles. Kwasi Kwarteng, our UK Chancellor, got 38 days, probably was told pretty much what to do and then got fired for it. And I believe he's a fall guy. Um, Liz Truss to me now just seems like a puppet, a puppet to her party who put her in and now are trying to threaten to take her out based on, you know, a mini-budget that they must have had some kind of awareness in. And they voted her in against Rishi And now basically they wanted to do what Rishi sort of said. Rishi was going to put corp tax back up. Rishi probably would have had us at 125% tax. And they voted Liz Truss in, and now they're basically trying to get Liz Truss to do pretty much what Rishi was going to do. I mean, what a fucking joke. What a joke. What a mess. Anyway, let me know what you think in the comments about this U-turn mess. I don't think it's good for the country. I don't think it breeds confidence. The markets reacted badly anyway. So part of the U-turn was to calm the markets down, to calm down the weak pound, to calm down the borrowing costs for the UK for the rest of the world. And the U-turn happened and it didn't calm the fucking markets down, and the borrowing costs for the UK have gone up anyway. Let me know what you think in the comments. Come and join the Telegram group. Come and get mentoring and support and free bonuses and giveaways and part of a really disruptive mover and shaker community so we can take personal responsibility. Because I actually believe the best way we can change the world is probably not in politics, is probably in our own mission and vision, doing our own meaningful work and being the best that we can be. And you know, you probably need— you need financial freedom for that. You know, you don't want to be in debt, you don't want to be surviving this winter, you want to be building a business that produces recurring income so you've got the money to have the freedom of time to do your meaningful work. And that, you know, I wrote a book called Life Leverage which teaches that, and I'm here to help you with that. So the Telegram group links are in the comments. Go join right now. I'll see you there. Hit the share button as well. We've got to get this out to as many people as possible. We've got to talk about this because it seems like the people have no influence. Because here's the irony, um, what, 100 and 200 people-ish voted in Liz Truss There's 75 million people in the UK, 70 million people in the UK, whatever, and a few hundred of them voted in our Prime Minister. So we've got no fucking say. We have no say. Our political system is fundamentally flawed because 200 people that I don't trust voted in our Prime Minister, and I had no say. I had no say in lockdown. None. So we've got no say anymore. So democracy is— democracy doesn't exist. It's not a democracy. It's globalized totalitarian regime wrapped up in democracy bullshit. It's not democracy. I've not got a vote anymore. Let me know what you think in the comments. Hit the share button. And remember, if you don't risk anything, you risk everything.
