In this YouTube commentary, the presenter reacts to Ukraine’s victory in the 2022 Eurovision Song Contest, framing the result as a deliberate "fix" that serves a humanitarian and political purpose. He celebrates Ukraine’s win and the United Kingdom’s second‑place finish, arguing that both outcomes are positive for the UK after a recent string of poor results. The video contrasts the upbeat Eurovision news with a barrage of negative global headlines—conflict, accidents, celebrity tragedies—and urges viewers to share this rare piece of good news. Throughout, the presenter engages with commenters (Alex, Doris, Abdullah, David, Anne, etc.), inviting debate, asking for definitions of terms like “bullshit” and “awake,” and encouraging evidence‑based discussion. He reflects on his own shift from political apathy to believing that even small symbolic victories, such as Ukraine’s Eurovision win, can foster solidarity and humanitarian spirit. The video ends with multiple calls to action: share the video, comment, and keep the conversation civil, emphasizing that spreading positivity is a worthwhile endeavor despite broader world crises.

So Ukraine, they've won the Eurovision Song Contest. This is big news and it's clearly a fix, clearly. Now, um, Ukraine were given special permission to leave the war-torn country to enter into the Eurovision Song Contest, which I think is brilliant. UK have come second in the Eurovision Song Contest, which is also absolutely brilliant for UK because they've been last twice in recent years and have had a terrible run in the Eurovision. And I think this is really good for the UK. Now, I don't know what you think of the Eurovision Song Contest, but, um, right now in the world we're in today, it's much more of an event. There's a lot more energy and politics around it, uh, and so actually I do think it's, uh, an event that transcends a cheesy song contest. Now, Alex here has said, no shit, Sherlock, it was a fix. I just want to say though, I think it's a really good fix. I'm so glad it was fixed. I'm really happy that Ukraine won, even if UK should have won. Now look, UK have been so rubbish for so long, you'd take second. Um, I think most of us expected that Ukraine would win. And I'm personally really happy for the fix. And in any other instance, you wouldn't want a fix. But in this instance, let's share some good news. Now, David has just said that Eurovision has never been about the music. It's probably the least about the music this time round. It is about supporting Ukraine, putting good messages out to the world, showing solidarity. And in that regard, therefore, I think that it's brilliant. Um, and I would really encourage you to share this video whether you knew the news or not that Ukraine had won the Eurovision. Isn't it nice to finally share some good freaking news? Finally! And let's share it because let's be honest, We're all attracted by bad news. We're all watching awful stuff going on in the world with Russia and Ukraine and lockdowns. You know, let me just tell you the news right now. It's— I mean, look, 10 shot dead in suspected race attack. Woman and 3 dogs die after being hit by a car. Australia all-rounder Simmons dies in car crash. Britney Spears announces devastating miscarriage. COVID outbreak, a great disaster, Kim Jong-un. I mean, the news is full, full of bad news right now. So let's share together finally some good news. The most positive fix that there's ever been. It's a really good thing. Abdullah said it's fixed like majority of things are fake. Well, in this instance, I'm so glad it was fixed. I'm so glad that Ukraine won. So hit the share button, share some good news. Now, the UK, they did really well. They came second, which in a way is like coming first. Doris has said, "Bullshit, Rob." Please do explain what you mean by that. So yeah, I think, look, there's a lot going on in the world right now that there is to be upset about, and it's finally nice to share some good news. A great night for humanity, as Anne said. You know, millions of people would have watched it, and I think it's really good news. Um, let me know what you think, by the way. I think it's great news for the UK because, you know, now the UK can kind of stop being the laughingstock. And, um, you know, let's see if this does something positive for the war, um, raising, um, good spirits, uh, you know, and hopefully some solidarity and support. Um, some of you are saying, really surprised, I thought you were more awake. You know what, when someone believes they're awake or they're enlightened, it's basically just patronizing. No one is awake and no one is enlightened because no one really knows what's going on. So instead of saying, oh Rob, I thought you were awake, I thought you knew what was really going on, you know, you need to wake up and New World Order and Great Reset and own nothing and, and be happy and blah blah blah, well No one has actually shared proof of what's really going on. Now, I am always open to your comments and your criticism, and I'm really keen for you to share some proof of what you think is really going on in the world. Now, some of you have also said, oh, who cares, and why is Rob commenting on this? Isn't it ironic that if I comment on some bad news, everyone's all in, and I finally just try and share some On to something a little bit positive and heartwarming, the Eurovision Song Contest, which maybe— you know what, a lot of people really do care about the Eurovision Song Contest. Some don't, I get it. But it was obviously more emotionally and politically fueled this year, and I personally am really happy that Ukraine won and maybe there's a united sense of togetherness and solidarity in the world, even if it's just for a day or for a TV show. And I actually think that's really good. Yeah, a lot of people here are thinking it's bullshit. So I would love your thoughts. Please do define bullshit. Please do define awake. Um, and yeah, what's the point in this video? To share some good news, hoping that things like this can make a difference. Because you know what, we assume that they don't, but they think Let me say this again. I used to think there's no point on commenting on anything political, no point at all. No one's going to listen to me. What difference can I make? You know, the government aren't going to change their tune. You know, the wars aren't going to stop, the lockdowns aren't going to stop. And I used to think there's no point, and I just used to completely stay out of anything political. I've changed my tune now on this. I believe that it's vital that you stand up and speak out for the things that you think are important to support humanity, because I believe that Eurovision and the victory for Ukraine was a small humanitarian victory. And by the way, if you disagree and you think that there's something else going on, then let me know. Don't just say bullshit or you're not awake. Actually, let me know what that is, because I'm really open to all these discussions. I'm always open to learning, uh, and I'm always open to some debate. And you will never get blocked or deplatformed, um, from my channel for sharing your opinion. Doris has said I'm trashing the core of the festival. I'm not. I've not said anything bad about the festival at all, but it's clearly a fix. Everyone knows that, but it's a positive fix. And I think that it was the right decision and the only thing that should have been done. I'm not trashing the festival at all. Really interesting comments. I thought this was just going to be a happy clappy, a little bit of positivity video. Um, looks like it's a little bit more emotionally charged, which proves that the event was politically and emotionally charged. So hit the share button, share the good news and some of the interesting discussions going on. Eurovision Song Contest looks like it's been fixed in a positive way because Ukraine have won, and I think that's really good. And let's have a little victory for humanity and stand together because we shouldn't be fighting in wars. Humanity are devolving. We should be making peace and treaties, not wars. We're supposed to be evolved. What's going on, people? But good on you, Ukraine. Good on you, UK. Keep it firing in the comments. This is going— oh, it's going crazy in the comments. Hit the share button, and remember, if you don't risk anything, you risk everything.
