So breaking news just in that the British Home Secretary Priti Patel has confirmed literally just now what she calls the first phase of bespoke humanitarian route for the people of Ukraine. So I've been wondering what I can do. I can't fight the war, But I think that using our voice to show our support and solidarity for Ukraine, I think this actually could make a rippling effect difference. So, um, I would encourage you to share this. So breaking news just in is that Priti Patel, who's the Home Secretary for Britain, um, has just made some big legislation changes, emergency humanitarian support for Ukraine. So I'm going to quote what she's just tweeted. So today I've confirmed the first phase of a bespoke humanitarian route for the people of Ukraine, which is responding directly to the needs and asks of the Ukrainian government. Yesterday, I don't know if you saw my video, nearly half a million views, of Elon Musk, who has given Skylink, um, broadband satellite connection as a backup for, um, Ukraine. Um, of course, there's sanctions going left, right, and center now against money flow to and from Russia. Many of the sporting events are being canceled. So, you know, every action has an equal and opposite reaction. So let me give you the full update. Um, Priti Patel: Today I've confirmed the first phase of a bespoke humanitarian route for the people of Ukraine, which is responding directly to the needs and asks of the Ukrainian government. It will enable Ukrainians permanently settled in the UK to stay, which I think is fantastic. They and British nationals can also bring their Ukrainian family here to seek sanctuary. Which could see the UK welcome up to 100,000 people. Again, I think that's fantastic. All they need to do is pass biometric and security checks. There are no salary or language tests. Applications are being processed in just hours. So she's expediting the process of refuge into the UK and looking like, um, accepting up to 100,000 people. Let me know what you think about this in the comments. And let me know if you do stand by Ukraine. I really believe that war is not the answer, and we should be a more evolved humanity now to have to resort to war. I think that dictatorships or totalitarian rule, I personally believe, shows fear. I don't think it's the modern way to lead. In any organization. And I think that it shows a loss of control, like what's happening in Canada with, um, you know, what I see I deem to be pretty illegal seizing and freezing of bank accounts just by, um, being associated with the, um, you know, the trucking protest. Well, What about negotiating with the truckers? What about finding out why the truckers are protesting in the first place and trying to fix the problem? Um, so anyway, um, I just don't support these acts of dictatorship and totalitarianism. Um, right, so, um, Priti Patel goes on to say, I'm committed to ensuring the UK is as generous as possible to the people of Ukraine. Just as we have been to the people of Afghanistan and Hong Kong, and further announcements will be made in due course. I have also confirmed we will change our existing laws to allow visa penalties where a country has taken significant steps which threaten international peace and security. Finally, I've confirmed that the UK strongly supports the Ukrainian government's request for Russia to be suspended from Interpol HQ systems And I will be speaking to international counterparts to rally support. What is happening in Ukraine is utterly heartbreaking and profoundly wrong. Together with our international partners, we stand with the heroic Ukrainian people. This is literally just breaking news from Priti Patel, the British Home Secretary, who's laid out her first phase of plans for humanitarian route and support in, and, um, if you're a refugee, you stay, and if you have families, they can come. Um, and this could allow up to 100,000 people into the UK. So, um, look, I'm not fighting the war, and also I know that the media will show what the media will show, and I try and use credible sources and multiple sources, but we probably don't all really know what's going on. I would love your thoughts in the comments. I think it's an important thing to discuss. I've been breaking my usual mold of entrepreneurial and business type content because I think these wider views are more important. Um, and you know, I'm more and more standing by things I believe to be right and wrong. I believed it wrong how hard mainstream media and some celebrities pushed to cancel Joe Rogan. Believe that to be fundamentally wrong. I believe war to be fundamentally wrong. Um, I don't think we should be devolving to that. Yeah, you know, we used to be barbaric hundreds of years ago. This used to be the norm, but it's not hundreds of years ago. And we, we, you know, we have faster information exchange, and we should be able to come to better solutions. So I hope that you feel that, you know, this— my using my voice and my platform is doing my little bit.
