Unions & Rail Strikers: Get Back to Work ⛔️

In this monologue, the speaker denounces the ongoing UK rail strikes, arguing that they exacerbate an already dire economic situation caused by government mismanagement, soaring cost of living, and broken supply chains. He outlines the immediate disruptions—canceled tickets, freight delays, and broader knock‑on effects on fuel, food, road traffic, hospitality, and small businesses—while criticizing the rail service’s poor quality, confusing fare structures, and excessive announcements. The speaker blames both the government for high taxes, quantitative easing, and lack of support for businesses, and the unions for selfishness in striking, urging them to return to work and negotiate. He predicts escalating unrest, possible further strikes, and even a revolution if fiscal policies continue unchecked. Throughout, he calls viewers to comment, share, and hold officials accountable.

Unions and rail strikers, get back to work. Look, I get it, the government quite frankly are ruining our country across the board. Service has become awful because of a huge spike and soaring cost of living. A massive, like, wiping out of the supply chains, of the networks. But unfortunately, these strikes are not going to make it any better. What do you think the government are going to do? Roll over and go, oh yeah, sorry, we were right, here's a 20% pay rise? No, the government don't care. But what's happening now is Britain is facing the biggest rail strike in almost a century. There are 6 full days of disruption. There's something like 3 planned strike days, but of course all the days in between are fully disrupted. Like, I booked tickets to go to London weeks ago and they, they just got canceled on me. What about all these people flying into Britain? What, just cancel life? Now, the unions and the, the rail strikers are striking over job cuts, job conditions, pay, and pensions. And yeah, I get it, because across the world this has happened with lockdowns, COVIDs, wars, massive hike in inflation, taxation. Massive undersupply of food and energy and soaring costs of fuel. I get it, we all get it. But do you really think that ruining the country for a week is going to solve your problems and is a fair response and reaction? And here's the thing, I've just got to say it as it is. The rail service has gone way down, the service is shite, the prices are a rip-off. The machines try and upsell you 58 times. They're so confusing, you can't actually figure them out. There's 72 different price variations. There's peak, off-peak, semi-off-peak, quarter, one-fifth, one-eighth off-peak, and the prices are crazy high. You get on and you get tannoy spam for about half an hour. Freaking tannoy police. Sit in line, do this, do that, don't do this, don't do that. It's just The service has gone completely shit. Generally what happens when things become a public service or like a public service. And now they're striking for 6 days. At least get the quality of your service to a fair and reasonable level. Now that being said, I sympathise too because the government locked us down, ruined supply chains, captured— as if they think they can just carry on as normal and people aren't going to strike and people aren't going to rebel and people aren't going to be pissed off. I feel a revolution building up here. People are pissed off with how the quantitative easing is ruining the value of money, pissed off with the soaring cost of living crisis and fuel and energy and food. It's exponential. When does this end? Taxes are exponential. Like, most people now paying 50, 60, 70% in tax in what they sell or what they earn and what they buy. It is ridiculous. It is un-fucking-sustainable. But strikes are not the answer. The government are not just going to roll over and lay down. Get more trains on time, stop tannoy spam, increase the service, make fair prices, make the service more simple. Then maybe people will have a bit more sympathy. Now, the union bosses blame the government for below-inflation wage proposals. But no one's getting over-inflation pay rises right now. No one's getting a 15% pay rise— well, virtually no one— unless you actually earn it. Here's the thing to all the unions and the rail strikers: you get paid more when you earn it, when service and production and quality improves. And that is not improving. And some of that isn't your fault, and some of it is, but you can only control what you can control. But instead, you're ruining the country for a week. Now imagine, for example, all the deliveries that aren't going to happen, all the freight that isn't going to happen. Do you know a lot of freight of food is now on rail? That's not going to happen. A lot of fuel is traveled on rail. That's now not going to happen. So the consumer is going to get hurt because fuel is going to go up even further. Supply chains are going to get hit even harder. Then what about the gridlock on all the roads? Do you know the taxis won't even go anywhere near Central London through this week? What about all the people that booked their flights and accommodation that had to be cancelled? What about all the hotels, the pubs, the bars, the clubs, the restaurants, etc., in London had all their trade ruined? What about all them businesses are screwed again? Businesses always get fucked. Like unions and public sector will just go on strike, but businesses, the people who fund and fuel the economy, they're the ones that always get fucked. So I believe the unions are being a bit selfish. I believe the strikers are being a bit selfish. I believe they should think more about service and quality, because honestly, the rail service is pretty poor, and I use it a lot. It's freaking expensive, and it's pretty poor, and it's complicated. Now, on the other side of the coin, I sympathize because the government, let's be just quite frank about it, naively ruined many of our public services and ruined many small businesses and now think everything's just going to carry on as normal and people aren't going to strike and people aren't going to be pissed off and people aren't going to rebel and revolt. They are. They are. Fuck. Anyway, let me know what you think in the comments. Let me just tell you what's going on in the UK. By the way, this is going to go on more and more and more. I think there are going to be more strikes. I think there's going to be more campaigning. I think there's going to be maybe somewhat of a revolution coming soon. If our money keeps getting eroded by the government and the massive quantitative easing and the massive debt that they're in and the massive increase in taxation and the soaring cost of living, if our cost of living keeps going down 10-15% plus a year, it doesn't take many years for our currency to be worth nothing. And then everyone will just go and overthrow the fucking government. And they don't get it. They're not doing anything about it. Nothing. They're putting taxes up. What are they doing to fuel the economy? What are they doing to support small business and enterprise? What are they doing to create jobs and support people who are in jobs? What are they doing to support employers? What subsidies and benefits and support are they doing? What are they doing to fuel and fire up the economy? Nothing that I can see. Hey, look, if I've got this all wrong, let me know in the comments. But if you do agree with me, or at least in part agree with me, hit the share button. Because you know what, when lockdown happened, I was waiting to see what happened. And then when I realized that they used a sledgehammer to crack a nut and they basically ruined the value of the pound, and in America, the dollar, they ruined our ability to have proper supply chains for basic amenities, they ruined our net earnings because of massive taxation and inflation. When I figured all this out, which didn't take fricking long, I started complaining and campaigning and ranting about it. And we built up a bit of a head of steam. But now they've got away with it again. They get away with it every time. Because, you know, there's just some new PR propaganda spin machine which just brushes under the rug what happened last time. Like, what happened to the Gray Report? What's happened to the accountability of the government officials, especially the Prime Minister? Partying every month through lockdown. Well, they got a £50 parking ticket basically, and then nothing happened. As you were. Because then a big war came in to conveniently save them from accountability. They just get away with it all the time. There is no consequence of mismanagement of our country. Fucks me off. And it's going to hurt you, by the way. I'm not just a red-faced ranter. It's going to hurt you. Because if your taxes keep going up like they are, and your spending power keeps going down like it is, it won't take many short years for you to be left with nothing. Own nothing, be happy. Here's a bit of universal credit for you to live on. Go down KFC and lick people's fingers for lunch, because that's all you're getting. This is what it's coming to. So, government, You had 2 meetings with the unions and you couldn't even cut a deal. You're running our country. You had 2 meetings with the unions and you couldn't even cut a deal. And now billions are going to be lost in this week full of these strikes and disruptions. You idiots! Britain are facing the biggest rail strike in nearly a century. 6 full days of disruption, disruption, which by the way isn't just 6 days, it will have weeks and months of knock-on effects. 40,000 workers are striking. They're striking over job cuts, conditions, pay, and pensions. The government had two chances to sort this out and they didn't. So there'll be all of this loss of earnings, and who will pay for it? The government won't pay for it. The government, um, public sector workers aren't taking a 20% pay cut. No, we'll pay for it in fucking tax. It all boils down How do we pay for the wars? The billions that our country are putting into the Ukraine war? Tax. How will we pay for all the lack of supply chains and the soaring increasing cost of living? Tax. Inflation. We always get fucked. We always pay. So you have to speak up about this because nothing will change. So I recommend you hit the share button if you think I'm making some points. Now, a note to the unions: get back to work. Because yes, many things aren't fair for you. What am I? I'm an entrepreneur. I run a private sector business. I'm pissed off with tax. I'm pissed off with the lack of support. I'm pissed off how hard everything's been made by our government. But I can't strike for a week because otherwise I lose hundreds of thousands of pounds. You should not be striking. You should be improving your service. The service is shite. The fares are a rip-off. The fares are confusing. There's 28 options. It takes 20 minutes to use the machine trying to upsell you every which way. Getting you to pay £5,000 for a return. You get Tannoy spam, the 20 minutes of spam on the Tannoy when you get in the train just to suit your agenda. You've got to sort your service out. This is the problem with the public sector. You need competition, you need free markets, you need proper capitalism, and that's all gone. You've got to earn a pay rise. No one else is getting an overinflation pay rise. No one. But then I think the government are useless and naive. What did the government expect, that the unions and the rail workers wouldn't strike? The taxi firms will be next. Everyone's going to go on strike. The government— I think I made my point. Let me know what you think in the comments. Do you lay this on the unions and the public sector rail strike workers? I mean, some of it's supposed to be privatized. To me, it's just a big public sector mess, no matter what they say about it. I don't see fair competition. I don't— some of the trains are really old. They're always late. My God. Let me know what you think in the comments. Uh, a quick summary is that now these strikes are happening, no freight is being moved, massive deliveries are being ruined, especially food and fuel, which now get moved a lot on freight on the trains. So our supply chains were already fucked and they're going to get fucked more. Our cost of living was already soaring, it's going to soar more. There'll be gridlock on the roads, havoc on the streets. Millions of people will be affected by work, travel, hotel, schools, exams, operations, hospitals. Businesses again screwed. Hotels, bars, pubs, clubs, gigs, all of that screwed. Sort it out. Get in a room. They've tried it twice. The unions and the government have twice been having talks and it's broken down. They couldn't organize a piss-up in a brewery. They could not organize their way out of a paper bag. So get back in a room, sort your shit out, come to a deal, and get back to work. What is it with all this lack of work ethic? Oh, I want to work from home. I want to work 80% of the time but I want a 120% pay rise. I want to walk the dog and start my second business working from home and have my employer pay for it. Oh, I want to go on strike and I don't want to do any work until I'm paid more than inflation. What is this? Work! It's work ethic, it's production, it's service, it's value. That is what will fuel the economy. Unions, rail strikers, government officials, politicians, you guys need to work. And earn and produce and offer value. It's the fundamental law of work and business and money, and the opposite is going on right now. Anyway, I'm gonna have a heart attack. Let me know what you think in the comments. Hit the share button. We've got to speak up about this, haven't we? It's all wrong. I mean, you know, it's easy just to— oh well, it's in London. Oh well, it's in the UK. Oh well, it doesn't affect me. Oh well, my job's all right. Oh well, you know, blah blah blah. Oh, I've got— we have to speak up about this because nothing will change. We have to hold the government accountable, and there is a massive head of steam built up from Brexit, COVID lockdowns, wars, government mismanagement, massive increase in taxes, inflation, cost of living. This is all building a big head of steam, and now there are strikes, and soon enough there's going to be a fucking revolution. Hit the share button, let me know what you think, and remember this: if you don't risk anything, you risk everything.
