Please stop, because this is an urgent message. This could be the most important message I've put out in thousands of videos. It affects you, it concerns you, and I can help you. So look, I can't comment on what's going on in our country and the decisions that the government are making regarding variants and closures and measures and mandates I actually can't comment if that is right or wrong and what is truth and what is not. But what I can comment on is that the economy and the small business is going to be ruined, and this affects you unless we stand up and unless we do something about it. So please watch this message. I'll keep it short, and then please share it because I think we must campaign. We We must use our social media for good. We must support each other. And I want to help you. I want to help the 5 million small businesses that are getting affected by these mandates or guidelines or fear or whatever you want to call it in the media. So first things first, there has been nothing announced that I can see about supporting small businesses. There are 5 million small businesses in the UK, and the small businesses account for much of the economy, much of it. They employ many of the people, create many of the jobs, generate many of the taxes, generate much of the revenue. Some people, some big American entrepreneurs have even quoted up to 90% of the economy is fueled and driven by small businesses. Except right now, those high street local small businesses that you love that you want to see, they are at absolute risk, uh, of being decimated. People are always saying, oh, don't shop on Amazon, shop on your local high street in your town, the boutiques. Yet there's no support for them, and all their bookings over Christmas are cancelled. Massive loss of earnings and no financial support from the government that I can see. So here's how I can help, and you can help too. Number 1, please share this message on your social media, on every channel you're on, and anywhere you can share this, please share this now. I'll be honest, I have been somewhat of a coward because I've not wanted to fully speak out about this and share what I really think because how it could affect me and my business. But that is no more. I waited and waited and watched. Have the government reduced VAT? No, they should. Have the government reduced corporation tax? No, they've increased it. Have the government reduced income tax? No. Do you know on corp and income tax we now pay 56.5% immediately. That's not even including National Insurance employers, National Insurance employees, business rates, other taxes, stealth taxes, etc. Nothing is being done to support financially the small business. Nothing. And it has to be done. So please hit the share button. The next thing is, if you are a small business owner, if you have a product or a service or anything you offer, please put it in the comments. Tell me in the comments what you do, what your business is, how you can help people, and put a link to your product, your service, your Facebook page, your social media, because I want to support you. And if we can get this video with enough traction, if you can share it across all social media and every one of us can put a little promotion for our business in, maybe we can all gain a client or two or three. Or, you know, maybe I can help you make some money and, you know, leverage my community and the wider business community. So step 1, hit the share button. Do not be quiet about this. Speak up about this. Use your social media for good. Step number 2, please promote your product or service in this thread shamelessly with a link. I'm more than happy. I want to help. Okay, so where are these grants? Where are these subsidies? Where is this support? I don't see it. Do you? Let me know if you do. Rishi's been away in California. He's got entrepreneurial business experience. Come on, where are these politicians running our country with business experience to understand the impact of the economy? So when these new guidelines— not mandates, but guidelines— were introduced about masks and, you know, don't go out and cancel your Christmas party and don't go anywhere unless necessary and and work from home. You know, there's a lot of fear. You see the headlines in the media, it's a lot of fear. So many companies— bars, restaurants, hotels, clubs, hairdressers, you know, leisure, retail, you name it, travel— mass cancellations. They lost millions, maybe billions of pounds. The economy lost millions or billions of pounds, the small business economy. And there was no subsidy or support. Now, the small businesses are never going to get that back. Yeah, the short-term lets, the, you know, the serviced accommodation, the staycation that was supposed to be a boom, all the cancellations of those, and there was no support. And do you know what? Most businesses in retail and leisure, most of their profit is in December. My friend Gerald Ratner said to me that he did nearly all of his profit in December in his jewellery business. So most of their profit through the entire year was taken off them. Now, if that's what should have been done because the government believed that's the right thing for the health of the country, I cannot comment on that. But if you're gonna take away the business, then subsidise the companies and replace their loss of income, because you're making these decisions. You're taking away the small business owner's ability to earn, and you're not giving the money back. And you're gonna fuck the country and you're gonna ruin the economy. So I want to be using my social media platform and small amount of influence that I have for positive impact. So please hit the share button now, every single one of you. If you care for your local businesses, if you care for your community, if you care for your fellow entrepreneurs, if you care for all the staff whose jobs are at risk, then please hit the share button now. I'd love to get this video out there to as many faces and eyeballs as possible and actually try and create some change. The next thing is please pitch yourself in the comment. Please share your small business. Please share your product or service or a link to your, you know, your Facebook page, your Facebook group, you know, whatever it is that you promote. And if you can get a bit of business out of me, then I'll be really happy. Thanks, Sally, for hitting the share button. Now, we could be in the dark modern ages after this virus has moved on if we don't protect the economy. You can't keep taking from business owners. You can't keep putting the tax up. You can't. So when the last lockdown happened There was furlough, there were CBILS, there was financial support. Hat tip, I thought that the furlough move was good. But where is that now? And just because they're saying, well, this is not mandatory, doesn't mean there's no loss of business or no impact on our community and our economy. How— if inflation is as high as it's been in 10 years, it's 5.1%, and that's what they tell you. I think RPI is 5.1%. That's what they tell you. Cost of living is going way up. Massive inflation. I mean, that is huge. All suppliers are banging their prices up. A limit in the supply chain means an increase in cost and prices to you. Your living costs are probably going up 10-15% this year. Your ability to earn, for most of you, is going down and down and down. Inflation is up. Interest rates are still really low, cost of living is going up, and the taxes are going up. How is that fucking right? That is not right. So, government, it's time to stand up and be counted. It's time to start showing some entrepreneurial and financial and fiduciary nous and support. We have to run a business and we have to be solvent, and if we're not, that's illegal. You know, we can, we can be imprisoned for running an insolvent business, but the government run an insolvent business they have for hundreds of years. We need to get business and, you know, financial and entrepreneurial knowledge into government. And you need to support the small business. Get the VAT down, get the corp tax down, get the income tax down, give some tax holidays and breaks. Let the businesses go again. If you have to lock us down, if you have to do the measures you're doing, I haven't got the science and I'm not the expert. I'll support you in that if you support the small businesses. How can you justify 20% VAT right now with everything that's going on? How can that be justified? How can you justify a one-third hike from 19% to 25% corp tax? The income tax, 56.5% corp tax and income tax me and my business partner pay, my business partner and I pay, straight off the top. And that's not including all the other taxes and the business rate. Get rid of business rates. Right, I wanted to stand up and say this. I'm probably gonna get some criticism for this, but bring it on, 'cause something's gotta be done. Now we can work together if you hit the share button then you can make a difference. People are always saying, oh, you know, people should use their social media for good. Now you can. Now I am. Hit the share button. Next then is in the comments, pitch and share your product, your service, promote yourself, and let's drum up a bit of business together and do the little bit that we can. Thank you for tuning in. Hit the share button. Let's start this campaign to save the small business, to get the taxes down, to get the support up. All this loss of business over Christmas and New Year that retail, leisure, and local small business is going to get hit, that needs to be funded back. Otherwise, we're going to lose all those small businesses. And everyone's saying, oh, we want to get rid of big tech and we want to get rid of these big massive companies. Well, many of them are doing really well through this challenging time. Many of them are online. Many of them have got the cash to burn through. But the small business hasn't, and they need support. Get the taxes down, get the support and the loans and the subsidies up. Hit the share button, put a pitch to your products or services in the comments, and let me know what you think. What do you think about what's going on with this, um, you know, new variant and the rules and regulations and impositions that are going on? And have you seen any support for small businesses? And do you agree that Small businesses need more support. Let me know what you think in the comments. I'll see you there for the discussion. Hit the share button. Let's go save the small business. Don't be a coward. Hit the share button.
