Warning: The Big Pension Scam ⛔️

Rob Moore argues the UK state pension is broken: most retirees get less than half their pre-retirement salary, with no early access, rising retirement ages, and low returns. He promotes property investment and self-directed wealth building as alternatives, urging viewers to skip financial education gaps and learn through his platform.

Warning: the great big pension scam. I'm going to take you step by step through why you should not, I repeat, not invest in a state pension. I get asked all the time, should I invest in a pension? Absolutely not. If you just do some basic research, you will be shocked at what you find. Now, I have one solution to all desires and interests about investing for your future, which I will share with you at the end of this video. It'll be relatively short, but there will be some detail, and I'm going to take you step by step through The great big pension scam and the main solution for you to beat the pension system. Okay, right, so here are the statistics. 1 in 4 workers, when they retire, they will have half their salary in pension. So most people are struggling with the cost of living crisis now. Yet when they retire, and this could be 20, 30 years, they will retire on half their current salary. But in 20 or 30 years, that could end up being a third of their salary. Who can afford to retire on half of their current salary? So 3 in 4 people will retire on less than half their salary. 1 in 2 on less than 40% of their salary. Okay, the next thing with pensions is they are wildly inflexible. So, um, you can't cash out early, you lose all your tax breaks. Now, the retirement age used to be in the 50s, now it's nearing 70 years old. So one of the things that really makes me feel that the pension system is a massive scam is they move the goalposts back, they move the goalposts back, they move the goalposts back. And their excuse, oh well, people are living longer. So I don't know how many years ago that the retirement age would be in the 50s and that would be reasonable, and then it's 55, and then it's 60, and then it's 65. Now the current retirement age is 67. That only gives you on average 12.5 years of a pension. So get this, you work 67 years paying into a pension for probably 50+ years, and then you get help for the last 12. You pay in for 50 and you get paid for the last 12. That is, that's if you don't die before the age of 67. And what if they move the retirement age to 70 and beyond? And you've got no control over this, you can't cash out early. It's a huge frickin' scam. John has said here they want you working until you die so you can't claim your pension. Now here's the next thing that's a massive scam about the pension. Let me know what you think in the comments, by the way. When you die, your pension dies. So we want to raise children, we're worried about this uncertain, disruptive world, we want to give them a head start in life when we pass away. Well, if you have a pension, it dies with you. It's not intergenerational. And the strategy, the one strategy I'm going to give you, it basically rules out all these issues and scams and failings. But the big thing about the solution I'm going to give you— and by the way, I'm not selling you anything, it's not a solution I'm selling, it's just what I do, and it's what most people who self-invest do— but it becomes intergenerational. Surely you want your wealth to be intergenerational, not to die when you die. You get no income all the way through building the pension. Let's say you get into property or you start a business or something like that. You earn next year, year after, you earn every year up to your retirement age, whereas in a retirement, in a pension, you earn nothing until retirement age. And by the way, do I think that by the time I'm 67, the retirement age will be 67? No, it'll be 160. 67. Just keep moving the goalposts back. See what I mean here? The system, the pension system, I really believe it is a huge scam. The returns are really low. The longer you live, the lower the returns. You can easily beat pension returns, easily. By the way, at the moment, pension returns are lower than inflation. What a massive scam! So people who are getting a pension, even at the highest rates, are less than inflation. Crazy. How do you know a good pension from a bad pension? How do you know a good pension fund manager from a bad pension fund manager? What if the pension fund manager messes up the fund? What if the government decide they want to dip into the money? Then when you do finally, and when you're 942, get a payout, it doesn't go up with inflation, it stays the same. So you're getting less and less and less and less every year. You can't do any debt or gearing on your pension like you can in property, for example. So I've just listed there at least 10 reasons why pensions are a massive, huge, big, fat scam, and they won't retire you. Don't fall for that shit. Oh, and by the way, all those decades where they've got your money and you're not earning on it and they're waiting for you to die, they can earn on it. The fund managers will be taking their cut. They'll be slicing and dicing and skimming money off. So why would anyone do that? Here's why people do that: they're feared into doing it, and they don't know any different. They're not confident. Now, if you were taught about money management at school, if you were taught how to invest yourself at school, if you were taught how to save and invest for your future, and create your own pension at school, well then there would be no pension. So we're hidden from having proper information in the school system, and this is why I do my content, because my personal vision is to help as many people on this planet get better financial education and knowledge, to make, manage, and master money, and to learn how to invest themselves, to learn how to be their own IFA. You shouldn't be needing an IFA. Do you need an ISA? An independent sexual advisor? No! You just work out how to have sex and you experiment and then you master it yourself. You don't have an independent sexual advisor. You don't have an independent children's advisor. Why do you need an independent financial advisor who isn't independent and just want to take skims off your money? Because you don't know any different and you're scared and you haven't learned it. The more you learn, the more you earn. So I'm going to do a summary in a minute of the 10+ reasons why I believe the state pension is a scam and you can do way better. I said I'd give you the solution. I believe the best solution is a self-invested pension, i.e., no fund, no fund managers, no state pensions. You invest yourself. And I believe property, real estate, is the single best pension ever. Why? Number 1, the wealth is intergenerational, i.e., when you die, all the wealth goes to your children. Okay, there's a big fat lump of tax, but you can't get around that. Number 2, you earn today. Once you buy a property and rent it out, you earn today. You earn the next 10 years, 20 years, 30 years, 40 years. You don't have to wait. There is no retirement age for property. It goes up over and above inflation. You can get good debt and gear up and invest in more property. So property self-invested. Now, by the way, there is one caveat here, and this is huge, because I like to be balanced. I said the more you learn, the more you earn. Do not go and blindly buy property with absolutely no education or knowledge. I think that's why some people invest in state pensions, because they think, well, I don't have any knowledge, I'll probably mess it up. Oh, the state will look after me, the government will look after me, it'll be all right. And they sort of outsource it because they're worried about not— they're worried about cocking it up themselves. So you need to get some fundamental education and knowledge. Now, the good thing about property is you can kind of mess it up and it will be all right. You can overpay by 10%, um, you can maybe not get your highest rent, you can get a slightly bad tenant, but in 10 years that property would have doubled, the rent would have probably gone up, not quite double, but Nearly. And mistakes are ironed out through property because it consistently goes up over time, what, 10% every 18 months, or it doubles every 10 to 15 years. And it literally does, by the way. It has since 1088 when all land and property in the UK was worth about a million. Now your house or my house is worth more than that. So, um, This is absolutely vital that you learn to educate yourself, at least on a fundamental level, so you can learn to self-invest, so you can learn to self-invest in your own pension. This, I think, is huge. And look, I can help you with this. I don't want your money to invest. I am not an independent financial advisor. I do not invest on behalf of other people. I just taught myself to be my own IFA, my own independent financial advisor, and it has made me tens of millions in property, millions in income through property, and tens of millions in income through my companies because I self-invested in my education. Invest in your education, it pays you the best return. So if you'd like to invest in your education, but literally the cost of a large coffee, like one-third of the cost of Netflix, if you'd like to learn to earn, if you'd like to invest and beat the pension scam, if you'd like to make, manage, and master money, if you'd like to learn the asset classes that could absolutely wipe the floor with the state pension, go and join Rob.team. Rob.team is, uh, relatively independent. Of course, I created it, so I am biased towards entrepreneurs. I am biased towards against the system and people who, um, you know, want to beat the tax system, want to beat the, the banks and the governments. Um, so that is kind of— it's more of a disruptive platform, a self-education platform. But if you'd like to make managing master money, if you'd like to learn to invest, build assets, smash the, um, broken scam pension system, um, and like to create multiple streams of recurring income and earn now, not earn in 50 years a couple of weeks before you die, join rob.team. It's really easy to join. Just open a new web page. Do it now as I say it, just, just while we're live here. Open a new web page. You know, new browser, and just type in rob.team. Rob.team. Rob.team. There's hundreds of hours of content on getting better financial education and knowledge, making, managing, and mastering money, learning to become your own independent financial advisor so you can beat inflation, beat taxation, beat the pension system. The only way you can do this is by learning to invest and manage your own money. You wouldn't outsource the management of your kids. You wouldn't outsource the management of your, um, sexual relationships. Don't outsource the management of your money. Learn yourself. And it's actually much easier than you think. So if you want hundreds of hours of content going back a good few years on an educational financial platform, instantly downloadable, works in any country in the world, Just open up a new web page and type in R-O-B dot T-E-A-M. There is no contract. You can cancel anytime. It costs you less than a large coffee. Well, a large Costa Coffee in England with all the bits. It costs you one-third of the Netflix subscription, but you can actually, instead of just dumbing your mind down with crime and thrillers and murders on Netflix, You can join Rob.team, learn, earn, invest, become your own independent advisor. Adam has just shared this. He says it's very important people understand this. I completely agree. Join Rob.team first. There's virtually no risk. It's less than a large coffee and you can cancel with no contract. So what have you got to lose? Because if you put a load of money into the pension system, I believe you will lose, especially as inflation is really high, especially as the government are in massive debt and they need to dip in to money they haven't got. Oh, this pension money, people living much longer. Like, if you think about it, the longer you live, the more you should earn. But right now with the pension system, it's the opposite. The longer you live, the less you're going to earn because they can't afford to keep you because they've got all these baby boomers and, you know, these— the population getting older and older. They cannot afford to pay you. It's the reality. The country is bankrupt. So you've got, you know, if you rely on the system, then the country's bankruptcy will become your bankruptcy. And that's why I set up Rob.team, because my personal vision, my mission, is to help as many people on this planet get better financial education and knowledge that they don't teach you in school, that your parents don't teach you because they didn't know. Absolutely vital that you self-invest and you become your own independent financial advisor, and Rob.team can help you with that. And Sabrina's right, get your kids learning too. I'll tell you what, I'll do you a deal. You join Rob.team right now. Um, just open a new window, type Rob.team, and I will let you share your login with your kids. So if you've got 5 kids, you're essentially getting 6 logins for the price of 1. Now, you know Netflix have just stopped sharing of logins. Look, I don't want you sharing your logins with your friends, of course, because that's not fair on me. But if you've got kids, your kids come for free on Rob.team. You can share your logins with your kids. Um, Jay says, I couldn't disagree with this more, Rob. I'm an independent financial advisor. Sorry, Jay, no independent financial advisor is independent. Never seen one. They've got their own biases, and they get more commissions or less commissions. I have seen so many so-called IFAs pump a load of shit, a load of shit, because they got high comms. Um, Jay, prove to me how a state pension beats, um, property. In fact, don't a lot of the pensions invest their money in property? So how can getting a max 8% and a probably 5% return on your unleveraged money in 40 years' time and nothing for the next 40 years, how can that beat property that since 1088 has doubled in value every 10 to 15 years? And people say, oh, it doesn't do that. Well, in 2007, I started buying in bulk property. And I was buying 2 and 3 beds for £50,000 to £75,000. They are now worth £175,000, £200,000, £225,000, £250,000. In not even 15 years, they have more than doubled in the last 15 years. Has a pension pot value more than doubled in the last 15 years? Show me one that has, and I'll do my next live naked. I will, because it's bullshit. I'm sorry, someone has to call this out. If you are lucky, when you realize your annuity, you're going to get an 8% return. Well, inflation is more than that, and it's 8% ungeared on cash, not on asset value. So I can put a 25-30% deposit down on a property, and I can own the whole property and earn on the whole property. Can't— you cannot leverage. And by the way, when I buy a property, as soon as it's rented out like in 6 months from today I start earning on it. Whereas my pension's not gonna pay me a penny for 40 years, and that's if the government haven't taken it. And if there's a world war, you think they won't dip into your pension? They fucking will. Sorry, Jay, you're not like— you gotta do better. You gotta do much better than that. I'll have an open debate on this. I will have a public debate with any independent financial advisor, property self-owned, versus state pension. Do you know what? I bet most IFAs are not even recommending state pensions. Oh, if you're up for that, Jay, I will do that. Not judging you. You follow my content, you know. This is not a judgment on a human being or any set of human beings, but all people who invest are biased. Human beings are biased, so they're not independent. So if you're gonna have someone who's investing your money who's biased, because we're all biased and we're not independent, it might as well be yourself. Because if it's you, at least you're biased towards you. Now, Jay has said skimming pensions, it's not like we're in the 1980s. No, it's fucking worse, because we've got wars and lockdowns and bankrupt governments. So it's worse. Famous last words: your money will be all right in the bank, it's safe. 'Your money will be all right in a bond or in a pension, it's safe.' Famous last fucking words. Come on, wake up, people, wake up. All right, so let me know what you think in the comments. Um, all right, I believe that pensions are a big scam. I believe you should be self-investing and not, um, state investing. I believe only you care about your money. I don't think the state cares about your money. You will never extend your retirement age. You can start earning money now, not in the next 40 years. The stats are shocking. So please share this if you agree with me, or if you just don't agree with me and you want to fire up a discussion. By all means, come and prove me wrong if you don't agree with me. By the way, I earn nothing telling you this. An IFA, an independent financial advisor, earns from their recommendations. I earn nothing telling you to invest yourself and manage your own money. Nothing. Okay, so here are the pension stats, and they're shocking. Number 1: only 1 in 4 workers will get half their salary. 1 in 2 get less than 40% of their salary. That's not even inflation adjusted, and it's huge. Yet people do it. What are they doing? The income stops when you die. On average, you've got 12.5 years of pension payout. 12.5 years! You work 40 years paying into a pension and you get 12.5 back, and you get taxed on it when it comes out. Fuck that! Scarf! Fuck that! No way! Bullshit! They're fixed. They're not intergenerational. The returns are low. They're not even beating inflation right now. How do you know a decent pension fund from a shit one? All the fees that have got to come off. People are going to lose their pensions. The retirement age is going up and up and up. This shit is real. Get real. Wake up. So hit the share button. I listed in detail the 10 reasons I think that pensions are a scam. Um, maybe scam's a brutal word, but actually Maybe the education system's a scam because it never taught us about it. Because at least if we really knew what they were like, then we could make an informed decision. However, um, that's— people like me wouldn't exist if the school system taught us proper disruptive money strategy. Like, you're not taught how to make and manage and master money. You're not taught how to budget. You're not taught how to invest properly. You're not taught about long-term compounding. You're not taught about managing your money emotions. You're not taught about real estate and long-term investment classes. Now, by the way, I invest in all types of assets, so let's be critical of me. What's Rob's bias? Rob's bias number 1, um, okay, he's in property big time. Yeah, but property has made me millions, so it worked. But I'm also in stocks. I also max my ISAs. I also invest in watches. I also have classic cars. I also have companies and businesses, so I have them all. So I'm not really biased to any of them. So that's one argument you could have with me. You could maybe pick apart my research. I spent a decent amount of time doing the research and I shared it with you here. You can do your own research on that. Some people could say, oh yeah, well, Rob's just selling his Rob.team platform. Well, I have done thousands of videos and only 100 times in those thousands of videos have I offered Rob.team. And Rob.team, you can cancel anytime and it costs you Less than a large coffee a month. So as if I'm getting rich on that. Now my mission and my vision, it comes from my passion and purpose, is to help as many people on this planet get better financial education and knowledge. So look, you can choose if you join Rob.team, but let's be honest, that £6 a month including the tax, and you can get that back, ain't going to make Rob rich. That's not really, you know, whereas an IFA's full-time job is to make money recommending investments to you. Now if you think about it, If an IFA's full-time job is to make investments recommended for you, then they are selfishly motivated to recommend the investments to you which make them the most money. That's just human nature, by the way. I'm not criticizing these people per se. It's more the system, really. But it's not independent. If you go in thinking this independent financial advisor is not independent, they're probably going to recommend me assets that they get good commissions on, and I know that. And I'll learn what I can and I'll put it into my life. Fair enough. But they're called independent and they're not. So let me know what you think in the comments. I believe that the pension system is a bit of a scam, uh, and I'd love thoughts, discussions on this. Also, do make sure you hit the share button because I think it's important we get this discussion out to many people. Property is super safe, super secure. It's proven to go up. It doubles every 10 to 15 years. It's proven, by the way. And you earn the money today, not in 20, 30, 40, 50 years. There's no limit on, you know, when you can get it. There's no, oh, you can't earn any money on property until you're 77. No, there's none of that. Your pension pot is not going to double every 10 to 15 years. And by the way, you don't get your pot. You might get some of it, you don't get all of it. And when you die, your pension dies, whereas when you die, your properties become intergenerational wealth. And if you want to learn stuff like this on a daily basis, then go and join Rob.team. Rob.team is less than a large coffee, one-third of the price of Netflix. Every week I'm doing content like this. I'm exposing what I believe doesn't work in the system and teaching you how to invest yourself, invest in yourself. You become your own IFA. You become your master of money. You become an entrepreneur. Because I think that if you don't make money while you sleep, you'll be working until you die. Inflation's super high. The banking system makes money out of you.
