What is the Queen’s Legacy? 🤔

Rob Moore breaks down Queen Elizabeth II's leadership through five character traits: never complain or explain, stoicism, grace under pressure, servant leadership, and consistency across her 70-year reign. He examines how she handled the Prince Andrew scandal, the Charles-Diana-Camilla triangle, and the Harry-Meghan controversy without public complaint.

What is the Queen's legacy? I've been pondering this, and I would love your thoughts on what you believe is the Queen's legacy. I'm going to talk briefly more about her character traits than maybe what was achieved in her reign, um, because how you do anything is how you do everything, and I would like to remember the leadership qualities that the Queen had. So I would love your thoughts on what you believe to be the Queen's legacy. I must also say I'm quite deeply saddened by how many vitriolic comments I've seen online. Um, maybe we don't all agree with the monarchy, that's fine. Maybe some of us have criticisms about some of the ways the Queen led. That's fine. Not on the day and the aftermath of her death, surely. But I can't control what other people say. All I can do is share my thoughts and encourage your thoughts. I don't police my comments other than if there's abuse on there. You're free to say whatever you want. Um, in the comments on my content. So first off, I would like to ask you, what do you believe is the legacy of the Queen, of a 70-year and more reign? So I've got 5 things I would like to share which I think we can all learn from, regardless of whether you believe in the monarchy or not. So the first thing is such a brilliant mantra for life, and it's not easy, and that is: never complain and never explain. And what do most human beings do? Bitch and moan and whine and complain about the smallest things. Well, some people believe that the Queen had a charmed and ivory tower life. I disagree with this. I think being born into royalty could be one of the greatest curses and a huge responsibility you never asked for. So personally for me, I don't think it is necessarily the greatest gift to be born into the royal family. I can see some of you here who aren't in the UK have a different opinion of the Queen. I will, like I said, openly embrace you sharing your thoughts. I'm just sharing mine. So, you know, a lot of people complain about the weather, and I never heard the Queen complain? Did she complain when, um, Prince Andrew scandal came out? Did she complain with the Charles, Diana, Camilla? Did she complain with the Harry, Meghan when Meghan went on Oprah and threw the royal family under the bus? Did she complain about any of that? No. So this never complain, never explain, very stoic leadership mentality. I think there's so much to be learned from that. Which leads me to my second point of the legacy of the Queen, which is the stoicism, the strength, the grace under pressure, the stalwart nature. Somewhat stern perhaps, certainly had, I believe, strength of leadership and that aura of strength. Which leads me to the third of my five points of what I believe to be a character legacy of the Queen. I'm not talking about a rule, a rule or an outcome or an empire legacy, but a character legacy. The third one would be grace under pressure. So when the Queen had the scandal around Prince Andrew came out, I think she handled it with grace. When there was the Charles, Camilla, and Diana, I think she handled it with grace. I mean, those sorts of things have really, really ripped open the reputation of the royal family. Someone has just said here, Matt's just said she's the rock of the monarchy. And look at the Harry, um, leaving the royal family and the Meghan situation and the Meghan on Oprah. And I thought she handled that pressure with grace. I agree, she had a really, really, really difficult job. There's quite a few of you on here saying she's a cannibal and she's murdered innocent children and babies. I, I I'm not sure what you mean there, and that's definitely not something that I, um, in any way associate with. Like I said, you can say what you want on my comments as long as it's not abuse. Um, but yeah, okay. Um, some of you have said you'll be grateful to hit 70. Actually, this isn't in my list, but, um, reaching 96 is pretty freaking amazing. How, yeah, like 2 or 3 days before her death, she seemed in good form and energy, didn't she? From what you could see in the media at least. So, yeah, living a long life, a meaningful life. The fourth is servant leadership. I believe that she for sure served our nation and wasn't necessarily— a lot of the things she did weren't necessarily have been her choice. But I believe she served our great nation. I believe all of the commitments that she did— I mean, hundreds a year of commitments to go and see people and be at events. I mean, most people couldn't handle that once a week, which takes an element of caring about your nation or people to be that servant leader. And then the final thing I think is consistency. So consistency is really, really hard. Really hard. Megan has just said, "If handling issues with grace means remaining silent and sitting on the fence." Well, remember I said at the start, never complain and never explain. And when you're being bashed in the media left, right, and centre, it's not easy to not complain and not explain. So someone can say, "Oh, she didn't speak on issues," but she didn't also speak on other issues that were against her and come and defend herself, which she could have done many times as well, so. Clearly that this mantra was there, and I believe it's a decent mantra to live by. I agree with Anderson, let her sleep well. Thanks Ben, who wants me to make it till 100. If I make it to 96 and I'm in as good form and as healthy as the Queen, then I'll be happy. So yeah, the fifth and final thing is consistency. So I believe that the Queen gave great consistency. Consistency of role, consistency of leadership, consistency of brand, consistency of appointments and scheduling. And I know a lot of people who never honor their commitments, change their mind all the time, and up and down and round and round, and no commitment, no longevity, no consistency. And I believe a big factor in success is consistency, longevity, commitment to the cause. And whether you love the Queen or whether you loathe the Queen, whether you love the monarchy or whether you loathe the monarchy, I believe she showed those traits. Now I would like you to put in the comments what traits you believe the Queen showed as a leader and what you believe the Queen's legacy is and was. If you don't agree with me, I'm okay for you to share your opinion, um, because there's nothing wrong with discussing this. I just think it's a time to pay respects. That's what I personally think. I've stopped talking about Rob.team, um, and you know, I'm not using the— this content in any way for commercial gain. I just think it's the right thing to do. So rest in peace, Queen Elizabeth II. Thank you for everything that you did, and I think you left the great legacy. We're all imperfect and we can all judge, and none of us are any more perfect than you, despite the mistakes you may have made as perceived by others. But for me, I think you did an amazing job, one of the best leaders we've ever had. In our lifetime, in my humble opinion. So they are my thoughts on the Queen's legacy. I would love your thoughts. I wonder if you, um, wouldn't mind sharing this video, and maybe we can use this moment to pay our respects and collect and share our thoughts. Um, and very, very strange times. Thanks for tuning in.
