When’s the Recession Coming?😳🤔

Rob Moore surveys recession forecasts from Elon Musk, Bill Gates, and JP Morgan's CEO, then argues a downturn is already here and likely deeper than predicted. He outlines five strategies to thrive: protect cash, invest in income-producing assets, start a digital business, create digital products, and build recurring income streams.

When's the recession coming? This is the big question on everyone's lips. I get asked this many times a day, and I'm going to share with you when some of the experts' predictions on when the recession is coming and how long it will last and how big, bad, and ugly it will be. I'm also going to share my views because actually my views are different to many of the experts that I've been researching here, like Elon Musk, like Bill Gates, like the Monetary Policy Committee in the UK, like a German investment bank. I've been doing the research to find out when all of these experts believe when the recession will be, how long and hard it it will be, and then I'm going to share my views, which are different. I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments. So question 1 is, when do you think the recession will be? Question 2 is, how long do you think it will last? I will engage with you in the comments. I am really interested in your view. None of us have a crystal ball. But it is important to discuss this. Now, some people have been saying, oh, Rob, someone called me the doom monger of Europe. And someone, many people in fact, have been saying, oh, I just want some good news. Can't we just have some positivity? Well, I actually don't see this as bad news. I see this as news. I see this as looking at what the reality of the world is and what is really going on. And then you being able to make some wise and balanced financial decisions based on having good information. Now, by the way, I just want to say this: a recession doesn't have to be your recession. There could be a recession for everyone you know, but you could be growing. And having prosperity. So just because there's a recession doesn't mean it has to mean your reality. Now, um, Nikos has said here we're in the recession. Many people have actually said we're in the recession already. Dow said January, Adam has said December. Let me know. Um, Christopher there has said now the recession is here. Now, the thing about recession that's quite interesting is, um, I think a recession is defined as 2 or more quarters— so let's call it 3 quarters of negative growth in a row— would, um, define a recession. But here's the interesting thing: we could have 0.1% contraction, 0.1%, and 0.1%, and we're in a recession technically. But then we could have 10% in a month, or at least 10% increase in cost of living, and yet we're not technically in a recession. So Adam thinks we're in it, but it's not official. Adam, I think I agree with you there. Rich says here the seeds are already sown. I definitely agree with you there, Rich. And you know, already we're 14 years since the last recession, and they usually go around in cycles. So that's element number one. It's probably just due sometime in the next few years. It's the natural cycle of energy and order, chaos, chaos, order. But then you've got COVID and lockdown and wars and massive taxation and soaring cost of living and really high double-digit inflation and all these things going on. Now these are going to take time to play through the system. I was— I said when the lockdown one happened, I said the financial effects of this, let alone suicide and loneliness and all of that, but put that to the side for one minute, which is of course really important, but the financial implications and pain could last a decade. Now remember, I'm not the European King of Doom like people have been calling me. One person called me the, um, king of doom for Europe or something like that. You've got to know what's really going on. So let me know in the comments, when's the recession coming and how long is it going to be? Elon Musk reckons, um, it's close and it'll be 12 to 18 months and tough for some, but he doesn't think it'll be super hard. Bill Gates agrees with the bears, the pessimist. He thinks there's a near-future economic slowdown because of the fallout of the pandemic. Um, the CEO of JP Morgan said there's, um, an economic hurricane coming fueled by the conflict in Ukraine and high inflation. The banks are preparing for bad outcomes. German investment bank predicts a 3.1% contraction in the economy by the third quarter of 2023. The Monetary Policy Committee, um, believe it's going to be about 2.1%, and interest rates will be 3%, I think, sometime in 2023. So they're not actually that bearish about it, um, which is interesting. What are your thoughts? My thoughts— I said I'd share with them, and I will— my thoughts are If we're not already in a recession, we're super close. Even if technically we might not quite be there yet, although we might just be there, we basically are in one. We definitely are experiencing negative growth in the economy, or at least— let me ask you this— are you experiencing higher costs? Because if your food and fuel and energy and cost of living is going up, 10, 15% plus, if your inflation is double digit, then really you would argue that you're in a contraction in your own economy. So therefore you could argue that you're in a recession in your own economy. So I'm really interested in real costs to real people because like I said, the economy could contract 0.1% and you might be booming. Um, or the economy could not contract that much quarter on quarter, yet, um, you know, your cost of living could have gone up 20%. Like, let's be honest about this. Inflation, 9%? Nah. 10%? Nah. 12-15%? More like it. And if they say it's going up to what was it, 13% in October and 15% next year? That means it's 20% plus. So I think the recession is pretty much here. I think it will last longer than 18 months, though it's not necessarily going to be quarter after quarter for 10 years of negative growth. There's going to be some ups and downs and optimism and pessimism, but overall we're coming into negative growth for quite a long time to come. There could even be a depression. Now people say, oh Rob, be positive, don't be the doom monger of Europe. Okay, well, do you know what? In every recession, more millionaires are made than in the boom times. And in every recession, there's a correction of money, and there's old money and new money. And there's places money used to go that isn't valuable anymore, and there's places that money moved towards that's very valuable now. There are people that lose and people that win. So here's a few tips for you practically to not just survive but thrive through the possible recession, the possible depression, the possible hyperinflation, at least stagflation, the possible continued soar of living Soaring cost of living crisis. Number 1, protect your cash. Don't have it sat in a savings account earning virtually nothing. Get it out into inflation-beating assets. Number 2, invest in inflation-beating assets— time as well as money, by the way. It's not necessarily about money, it's also about time, resourcefulness as well as resources. But build assets that produce income. Cash into asset, or protect it into asset. Asset being inflation and, um, income-producing asset. Property is an income-producing asset. A business should be an income-producing asset. Then the next thing, start a business, become an entrepreneur. Build an online business, a digital business. Build digital assets. Start a company consulting, advising, educating, and inspiring. Entertainment's massive money at the moment because people are so fucking depressed. They just want to be entertained. So education, information, inspiration, and entertainment— people are making millions and billions in those 4 information industries: education, information, inspiration, and entertainment. So these are great ways to turn information into income, ideas into income, content into cash flow, what you already know into cash flow. Launch a membership site, build the community around your niche and what you know, and build online digital educational products and apps and tools and software around that. So there you go, there's at least 5 ways to not just survive but thrive, to beat the banks, to beat the recession, for the recession to actually maybe even build you the foundation to becoming a millionaire, because more millionaires are made in a recession than at any other time. So anyone who says, oh, Rob is the doom monger of Europe, and oh Rob, you're being negative, and oh, let's talk about some positive stuff, get to the end of my videos because there's always positive outcomes. People are going to be scared, people are going to be lost, people are going to want to be distracted, people are going to want to be entertained and educated and informed and inspired and guided through these difficult times. And you can do that in your niche. You can turn content into cash flow, social media into salary. And if you'd love to learn the strategies and tactics of doing this, I actually have a brand new event. So, um, it's called the Recurring Income Summit. And I'm going to do two things for you. Number one is, at the end of the summit or just after, as a thank you and a reward for taking action, I'm going to give you access to a digital financial toolkit of 21 ways to save at least half your salary in costs and some ways to build digital assets and recurring income with video trainings from me. So you might want to cheeky go and join rob.team first. It's all the information is on the page, r-o-b dot t-e-a-m. So, um, I'm talking, as you can see. So some impatient people in the feed, oh, Rob won't talk to you, Rob won't reply to you, sending me the same message 58 times. Um, I do my best, but obviously I have hundreds of people on my, um, comment, so I do answer, Mark. I answer many people in my comments. And Greg's spamming me by asking me about XRP crypto. I don't know anything about XRP, so I have no thoughts. Um, so there you go. Um, so if you type yes in the comments, then, um, I'll give you a ticket to Recurring Income Summit as a gift from me, you know, to help you not just survive but thrive in this cost of living crisis. Because the recession many experts are saying will be 18 months and it'll be 2 to 3% contraction, I believe it will be longer and deeper and harder and worse. So I'm just saying, and it's not because I'm a doom monger, it's because how can you have COVID lockdown, wars, double-digit inflation, worst cost of living crisis since the Second World War? How can you have all of this stuff together and only have a tiny little correction? I think it's got to be longer and bigger and harder even than the last one. But remember, I'm not a doom monger. That's not necessarily bad. There will be winners as well as losers. There'll be more millionaires made in this recession than there have been in the last boom. So my question is, will it be you? Did the last recession— did you suffer financially? Michael, we were a bit leaner and smaller, so it's actually quite good for us because we're in property and property prices came way down really quick. They came down 30% within 6 months, and that was quite good for us. And so we were able to buy probably 50 properties through the whole recession, you know, the '08-'09. Um, and then also we started a training business because we learned how to do this. So actually, we did pretty well. It's probably quite good for us. Now, of course, that's not being opportunistic in a vulturistic sense, because you don't create the recession. You're not puppet stringing the government. It happens regardless, so you might as well take an opportunity in it. You might as well try and do well in it. So yes, I do engage in the comments, and yes, I do answer as best I can. But if I'm talking or answering my own question, of course I'm not going to be answering everyone. Some of you— do you know what? I, I get most of the haters in the, um, critics on TikTok— on Facebook, actually. I get very few, and you're all really nice, um, but you're quite impatient today. But look, just type yes in the comments. Leverage the recession to get access to the Recurring Income Summit, a gift from me. I'm doing this to help people in this financial crisis. Now, there is a premium upgrade you can pay, but if you're a Rob.team member, you get the premium ticket upgrade for free. And by the way, it's fully online, so, um, there's no travel, accommodation, hotel, or anything like that. It is a live event. I think we've got a couple of slots recorded because speakers can't make this event, so we've got the recording of their talk, but it's a live event and most of the talks are live. So it's a pretty unique experience that it's live, that we've got the founder of Netflix, that we've got someone who's written— sold rather— half a billion books. That's pretty impressive. It's better than writing half a billion books. Sold half a billion books. He's a friend of mine, Mark Victor Hansen. So the young— the, the Recurring Income Summit is going to be amazing, and you really should take me up on this opportunity because otherwise you might miss out. And also, I'm going to give you a financial toolkit after the event, um, a lot of ways to help you save money and make money and build assets. So just type yes in the comments, I'll share the link with you. It's a gift from me. There is a premium upgrade, so it's not, you know, just a crappy free event. Um, yes, Jax, um, Richard Branson launched Disruptive Entrepreneur on Masterclass. He did, and I have a trademark on it, so should I sue him? Um, and let me know how long you think the recession will be and when it will be and how hard it will be. Most people are saying 12 to 18 months, 2 to 3% contraction. I think it'll be longer and deeper and harder. They're my thoughts. So hit the share button. Thanks for tuning in. Do hit the share button, um, because I think it's good for us all to discuss how long we think the recession will be and how deep it will be. I gave you 4 or 5 strategies and tactics at the end. Can you remember them? Are you listening? Can you remember the strategies and tactics I gave you to not just survive but thrive and combat and beat the recession and leverage it? Getting cash out of the bank so it's not wiped out by inflation in the banks. Get it into inflation-beating assets. Have assets that produce income. Start a side hustle, start an online business, start a digital business, build digital assets, turn information into income and content into cash flow. Build courses and online membership sites like Rob.team on what you know into cash flow and leverage information education, inspiration, and entertainment into income, because that's how a lot of people are making millionaires right now. And a lot of people, they need that. So type yes in the comments. I'll give you a ticket to the Recurring Income Summit as long as you're quick, and it will be, um, first come first serve, and the digital financial toolkit afterwards. Type yes in the comments. I'll see at the Recurring Income Summit. All the information, the dates, the details are on the page. Just globally streamed online. You can upgrade to a premium if you want the, the suite tickets, but I'll also— there is a, a standard free ticket option. Just put yes in the comments. Thanks for tuning in, everyone. 12 to 18 month recession, 2 to 3% contraction, say the experts. But this guy, not saying he's an expert, not saying he knows more than the experts, but this guy says longer and deeper and harder. Be ready. Seize the opportunity. And if you don't risk anything, you risk everything, as you know.
