You’ve Been Lied to About Saving Money ⛔️

Rob Moore argues that traditional bank savings erode wealth through low interest and inflation, and reframes saving as temporary storage before investing. He suggests alternatives like gold, silver, and Bitcoin, and promotes his financial education platform Rob.team as a way to take control of your money.

You have been lied to about saving money. Let me ask you this question: who most benefits from you saving money? If you did a poll to the masses, where would they most say you save money? Let me know in the comments. So Most people on the planet, if they were asked where you save money, would say in the bank. That's possibly one of the worst ways to store money. Now, you should not be saving money. Saving money does not make you rich. You are led to believe by the banks that saving money helps with your retirement and your pension and your security. Why do they say this to you? Because it benefits them having your money. They have your money. Now let me ask you this: would you save your money with a thief? Would you give all of your money if the thief said to you, 'I'll guarantee all your money, 'it's all insured, I'll look after it, it's secure, it's safe.' Would you give a thief your money? No, you wouldn't. I'm not saying the banks are thieves. What I am saying is the banks have their own motive for you giving them money, and it benefits them to receive your money and not you. Here's why. So I have a savings account with my main current account. It's about 1.5%. So what are interest rates right now? Interest rates are over 5%, and yet my bank gives me 1.5%. How's that? How's that right? How's that equitable? And what's inflation? Well, they say it's really low, it's 3%. Well, it was over 10% before lockdown. And if they say it's 3%, it's 6%. If they say it's 10%, it's 20%, because they don't include all of the goods in the basket of goods, and they probably don't include your increased interest rates on your mortgage. So here's the thing: you're supposed to benefit with savings with high interest, except the main banks, the safe ones, aren't giving you anywhere near the interest, yet the same banks are charging you 2 or 3% margin above the interest rate on your mortgages and loans. Interest rate is 5%, they give you 1.5% savings, and they take 7.5% off you off your mortgage. They're just screwing you left, right, and centre. Absolute rape. And people just don't understand. This is why I'm on a mission to help as many people on this planet get better financial knowledge. And this is why I have my own financial school. This is why I have my own Rob Moore Foundation. This is why I'm one of the top UK authors on money, because this is not right and this needs to be changed. So Sean Paul has said you don't get rich saving money, you get rich investing money. That's absolutely right. But there's a stage in between, and I want to just get— change this narrative for you. You've been told that it's good to save money. No. It's good to stop spending money, yes. You've been told that saving money gives you security and pension and retirement. No. Saving money benefits the banks and the system. So here's what you need to do instead. You need to store your money well until it's time to invest it. So you go from spending to storing to investing. Not from spending to saving to losing. Let me say that again. You go from spending to storing to investing. Now, if there's one argument I'm going to give for saving money, it's that it stops you wasting it. It's better to have money going down at 3%, 5% a year than it is to buy something that halves in value that's a liability, buying things you don't even need to impress people you don't even like. So that's the one little bit of credit I'll give to how you've been indoctrinated about what savings are. But actually, you need to stop thinking about saving and start thinking about storing. Now, the benefit of storing money is: 1, to hold the time and the value that you exchanged; 2, to stop it going down in value or maximizing its— sometimes when you store money, it can go up in value. At the very least, you need to beat inflation storing money to then invest the money to create leverage and a compounded return. So stop saving, start storing. You know, so for example, let's say you've got money that you have in a savings account. You could move that into gold or silver. And as long as you don't need instant liquidity, although it's actually pretty instantly liquid, but gold and silver, for example, might be a better store of money than in the savings account. You might trust yourself to look after your gold and silver more than you trust the governments and central banks to back up the guarantees on the savings that they've got. Bitcoin might be a better store of money than a savings account. Or some, for example, I use savings accounts. I don't use many, but you know, you have to have some cash. I'm not saying never put any money in the bank. Of course you have direct debits. Standings orders, you need to use the banks to pay online. I just keep the minimum amount of money that I possibly can in the bank, but I still need the banks. So at least what I can do with that is I can open high-interest accounts through, say, Hargreaves Lansdown, and I can choose where I put the money. If I want to be a bit more conscious, for example, I can put my savings with Challenger banks or entrepreneurial banks. Banks that are set up that lend money to business people and entrepreneurs. That's a choice. There may be a high risk there. So if you'd like to learn how to store your money better, get rid of the hypnosis of saving and putting money in the bank and the old-school system that benefits them, and you'd like to learn how to invest to grow your wealth, I recommend you join Rob.team. Rob.team is my digital financial freedom platform. It helps you start and scale a business, make, manage, and multiply money, and create multiple streams of recurring and passive income. It helps you get your tax bill down, which is probably your biggest expense, and your income streams up. The great news is that it costs less than 20 pence a day to join. You can cancel anytime. There's no ongoing contract. In fact, when lockdown happened, I reduced the price by 80% because I wanted to really support people through a very difficult time and help them make more money. I haven't put the price up since, probably been a bit lazy. Will be putting the price up very soon. Therefore, it's going to have to go up 5 times. So if you join right now, you can get in before I do that 5 times price rise. Less than 20 pence a day. Cancel any time. No ongoing contract. Hundreds of hours of courses, resources, and masterclasses to make your way. I got a couple of special bonuses. I won't be able to give these away forever. And one of them is that I'm going to have free login for anyone under the age of 18. So if you've got children under the age of 18, give them your login details. Kids go free until they're 18 because that's the way I can give back. I'm also going to do a financial education school within Rob.team, like a homeschooling money education for kids that's launching soon in Rob.team. Gosha says, already in, it's awesome. For any of you that are still thinking about it, just do it. You won't regret it. I've also got a 23-module Investing in Gold and Silver Masterclass, which is being uploaded very soon. I'm going to— actually, I have a 16-hour Money Mastermind University. Everything I think should be taught in schools about money but isn't. What the system doesn't want you to know about money, what your parents couldn't teach you about money. My own financial degree, if you like, from a bare-knuckle millionaire as opposed to a theorist teaching it in schools but barely making ends meet. So that 16-hour Mastermind University degree, grab that now in rob.team. Now the reason it's in there is because I'm just getting it edited and thumbnail, and then I'm going to sell it as a £700 online course, which I think is a bargain for an online degree. Unofficial one. So while it's being edited, you can actually go and join Rob.team right now and get access to it completely for free, and then I'll take it out. So a couple of special bonuses for you to go and take action now and join Rob.team, because remember, when all is said and done, more is said than done. And remember, to know and not to do is not to know. You've got a lot of unprogramming to unlearn, un— all this mass hypnosis that you have to inoculate yourself from, and Rob.team is a way to do that. We're 9,800, 9,900 members since we launched Rob.team, so almost at the 10,000 mark. Movers, shakers, game changers, changemakers just like you. Because you've been taught that saving money is good, gets you rich, retires you, gives you financial freedom and security and pension. Absolutely not. The banks do not pay you anywhere near what the interest is, and they pay you significantly less than what inflation is. So actually, you're not saving your money, you're decaying your money. Now imagine if the banks called it a decaying account, i.e., they told the truth. Hey, decay your money with us. Leave your money in the decay account. You'd never do it. But of course they call it savings. Which it isn't. It's diminishing storage, and there's better ways to store your money, which appreciates, doesn't depreciate. And you should store your money for the minimal amount of time until you can invest it and create leverage and create income streams from your asset. So I hope you found this content useful. I wonder if you wouldn't mind sharing this because there's funny things going on on social media with the algorithms and the demonetization and the canceling. Another big guy got— and they're trying to cancel him again today. It seems like every day someone who's got something contrarian to say, um, they're trying to fight, get them canceled, control. They're trying to control the narrative and keep the hypnosis going, you know. Get a job, pay your taxes, get in debt, own your own house so you can be in more debt, save your money so we can take it all from you, you know. Do what you're told, you know. Read the news. You know, hypnosis, hypnosis. You have to, you have to just get yourself out of that situation. It's never too late to start. It's always too late to wait. And Rob.team is designed to do that because anyone can start. It doesn't matter if you're broke. Anyone can afford 20 pence a day. Anyone can sacrifice one or two large coffees a month to join. So, you know, I'm not saying I don't have higher cost programs and one-to-one with me is a lot more money, but you actually get some access to me for Q&As. The only Ask Me Anythings I do now are on Rob.team. So look, you know, I'm doing my best to support you. So thanks for tuning in. Let me— yeah, get out the matrix, Clara said. Let me know in the comments if you think we've been indoctrinated by the banks. Let me know in the comments if you agree that saving money is not going to make you rich and it just benefits the banks and not you. It tickles me when people say, ah, but the banks guarantee 85 grand. Well, number one, how do you know that? Have you ever made an insurance claim and they've decided not to pay? Someone reversed into my car. They had a cheap car, I had an expensive car. They reversed into my car, it was their fault, and then claiming on their insurance puts my premium up significantly. Their fault, they crashed into my car, claim on their insurance, not mine. My insurance goes up, so it's not worth claiming because their car will cost £200 to fix, mine will cost £5,000. So I have to stomach and pay the 5 grand. So I pay for insurance twice. One, because I legally have to. Like, if I didn't legally have to, I wouldn't insure my car. I'd self-insure. I'd keep a few grand a month away and I'd self-insure, and then I invest that money. So actually, self-insurance is where you don't legally have to have insurance, but you might want some comfort. Self-insure. Fuck giving the money to the insurance companies. Do you know what they call it? A premium. Which means they make money. So how can it be fair and right and even legal that I have to legally insure my car, someone crashes into me, and then I have to pay myself because it costs me more to claim on their insurance, not mine? Surely they made the mistake, their insurance should go up, mine shouldn't be affected. It's a fucking con. It's outrageous. I've got 340-odd rental units, but one of my properties, which is actually it's family owned, it's not owned in my companies. One of those had an insurance claim and it put up the premium, or potentially put up the premium on all of my other properties by £8,000 a year. How can that be that a family property, not in any of my companies, where you have to make a claim because, you know, there's leakage or subsidence or whatever, and then that puts the rest of your other unrelated properties up in premium by £8,000 a year. I mean, look, I expect the insurance companies to make profit, of course, it's a business, but there should be better regulation on this. Insurance should be a service for the people as much as it is a profit for these fat cats. And it's just an absolute scam, in my humble opinion, and that's why I'm on this charm offensive mission to help as many people on this planet get better financial knowledge. So Rob.team's the place to go for that. Let me know what you think about some of the things I've said in the comments. If you think— if you agree with some of the things I say, please share this and push back and self-educate and take control of your own finances. People sometimes say to me, hey Rob, um, do you know an IFA? Can you put them in touch with an independent financial advisor? You should be your own independent financial advisor. No one is independent about your money other than you. Everyone else just wants their commission and they want to make their money on you. You wouldn't outsource the the raising of your children. You'd get the odd babysitter, but you wouldn't completely outsource the raising of your children. Or you wouldn't outsource your marriage. Maybe you should. But yet people don't know how to manage their own money, and it's one of the core things in their life. So thanks for tuning in. Really appreciate you following my work. If you could keep engaging with me, if you watch this content, just because the algorithms are a bit variable at the moment, that's a nice thing to say. And remember, if you don't risk anything, you risk everything.
