A short YouTube personal reflection by Rylee Meek describing the value of sitting in stillness and quietness to be in the presence of the Lord. The speaker recounts being saved, spending a month in rehab immediately after conversion (which provided large amounts of unstructured time), and using that time for meditation and spiritual encounter under the stars.

But this word shoe walk, and this was the, the, the form of meditation. It was really like for Isaac to just be in, be absorbed in thought. And when you think about that, some of the most beautiful times we have with the Lord is when we're simply sitting in stillness, in quietness, and just practicing being in the presence of the Lord. Now there's. Obviously, it's great to open the Bible, read scripture, to have something to meditate on, but, you know, I spent a month at rehab, which I got there the day after I got saved. I got delivered from that drug addiction, still went to rehab, and it was a month of just kind of being absorbed in thought on the Lord and, and that encounter that I had and it's powerful presence. Really for you? Oh, it was, yeah, it was, it. It was 100% like. I, I'm like, thank you, God, for planning it out that way. Yeah, yeah. Because I didn't actually need the rehab, but it just gave me an opportunity to be away with the Lord. And of course you do the different things, the classes and therapies and all that sort of thing, but there's so much free time, especially in the morning and evening, where I would just sit under the stars and just be in the presence of God.
