Jesus spoke about money more than almost any other topic. Sixteen of his 38 parables focus on money, roughly a quarter of his recorded words concern stewardship, and one in ten Gospel verses mention money or possessions. The core principle: you either worship God with your wealth or worship wealth itself.
16 out of 38 Jesus parables actually deal with money and possessions. Roughly a fourth of Jesus's words in the New Testament deal with stewardship in some fashion. 1 out of 10 verses in the Gospels deal with money or possessions. Over 2000 scriptures on tithing in the Bible, money and possessions, which, as mentioned before, it's twice as many as faith and prayer combined. Right. So we can either worship God with our wealth or we can worship wealth. Yeah, right. It's kind of what it boils down to.
