Short YouTube discussion (two speakers) about a widely-cited quote attributed to the founder of the Church of Satan, identified in the transcript as “Angela,” thanking Christian parents for letting their children “celebrate the devil one day off the year.” The speakers react with surprise and use the quote to argue that even non-Christian critics (former Satanists) make the case against Christian parents’ responses. The clip is conversational and reflective rather than scholarly.

The founder of the Church of Satan had a very well known quote where he and this was Angela who founded the Church of Satan and co founded Satanism as a religion. The first person to do that in in the world. There was a very well known quote where he said, I want to thank Christian parents for allowing their children to celebrate the devil one day off the year. Yikes.
Yeah, right? That makes it even more like, yeah, if you don't want to hear from us, hear from this former devil worshiper who's not Christian, right?
