In Exodus 19:5 he says, all the earth is mine. Psalm 24:1. He says, the earth is the Lord's in all its fullness, the world and those who dwell therein. Not just the earth is the Lord's, but all of us who dwell within the Lord. So literally everything is God's. We tend to be possessive, right? What's mine is mine, what's yours is yours. We work to build our bank accounts. We work to grow our wealth, our possessions, materials that we have. We just kind of grow up thinking, I work, I receive, and what I have is mine. And we become very possessive of it.
