A short YouTube monologue by Rylee Meek arguing that many American churches have adopted a consumerist approach to Christianity—treating church and Jesus like a buffet to pick from—while true discipleship means "picking up your cross daily" and following Jesus, not selecting only comfortable beliefs or practices.
Right? And so, and I think a lot of churches, these huge mega churches and things are. And nothing against being a big church, right? But a lot of people have, have just accepted here in America what I think is just this consumerism, Christianity. And they want just what they want, right? They treat Jesus as, or even church itself as this event. And it's like this buffet that they get to go to and pick off what they want. And, and they don't take what they don't want, right? And at the end of the day, that's not what it means to follow Jesus, to pick up your cross daily and to follow him. That's not Christianity.
