A short transcript excerpt from a YouTube conversation in which Rylee Meek and another speaker reflect theologically on life and creation. They assert that while science may attempt to create life (e.g., in vitro), only God can "breathe life" into a human being; Rylee shares a morning anecdote with his 13-year-old daughter Ellie about trees and oxygen, and they reference Genesis 1 and the continual filling/restoration by God's spirit.

Yeah.
And that same breath that was breathed into Adam, is that the breath that we can't breathe? Like, we can't. I, I know, like within vitro and stuff like that. Like, people say you're playing God, but only God could breathe life into.
Yep.
And make that life of being. Right. It's only God. So, so science could try to do it, but ultimately only God could breathe breath into the nostrils or, or whatever. That little embryo has to start breathing in the mother's womb.
Yeah. Yeah. That's so cool to even just think about that. It's, it's, you know, God who, you know, not only do we breath isn't just about oxygen. Right. It's not like, yes, he has given us again, Creator of all things. I was just having this conversation with Ellie on the way to school today. She, her question was like, dad, what would happen if all the trees were cut down? Like literally every tree on Earth? Would we not have oxygen to breathe? I'm like, oh, it's an interesting question from a 13 year old.
Right.
But it just, it brings us back into. I love our conversations in the morning. It's just like such a special time. And because it just brought us back to just like how God in Genesis 1 just created everything right. For our existence because he had a plan for us. And so it's not that, you know, the oxygen sustains us here in life, but it's, it's him who actually, you know, breathed life into us to create life itself. Yeah, Right. So it's, it's him that restores us and that, that fills us continually with his spirit.
