A King's Council Live livestream (Rylee Meek with Christian) centered on the biblical phrase "Here I am" (hanini). They trace the motif through examples (Isaiah 6, 2 Chronicles 7:14, Luke/Acts/John passages), emphasize humility, repentance, discipleship, and being sent/empowered by the Holy Spirit, and close with practical invitations to join the King's Council community and weekly Bible study.

All right. All right, everybody. Welcome back to the King's Council Live. Happy Friday.
What's up, man?
How you doing?
Doing well. Doing well. Another day here in sunny Minnesota.
It is sunny for not. Not too long. Not too long. I doubt it. At least it's been sunny, though. I've been in Florida the last few days, which has been great, man.
Yeah.
To come down for a couple days.
Yeah. Didn't tan well.
I didn't.
No. Where's your tan?
Take my shirt off.
I don't want to stumble the ladies.
I actually look at our screens, man. I'm tanner than you are in this screen. Come on, come on. Who's tanner in the chat? Let us. Let us know.
That's evident. Yeah, I'm very pale right now. It's a pale season for me.
It is. It is. Because there's no sun in Texas, apparently.
Welcome.
Welcome, everybody. We love having you guys live with us here. Every Friday, we come on and. And do this, and, man, we've got a doozy today. I'm excited to really dive into this. First off, we did have an incredible weekend last weekend within the King's Council. There's a few of us that. That hop on on Tuesday mornings, and we got to go down to Florida, and one of our mentors, Brian Swartz, an amazing man of God, him and his wife Diane came in and just poured into us over the weekend with some of our spouses, man, it was just. It was amazing.
Just.
I mean, that was, to me, like, that's church, baby. Like that. It was just an incredible time to be able to do that together, so. And we plan on doing more of those. Right? So stay tuned for here in 2026. What.
We're.
What. We're going to be kind of laying out just times to get together in person. Obviously, we love communicating with you guys on this show and our podcast and things, but my heart, I think it's yours, too, is to be able to just do life with each other. Yeah, right.
And.
And dive in, because that's. That's really what this. This thing is about, right? If you've given your life to Jesus, Satan, like, great, we're saved. But now what?
Right?
Right now what. What is this? And this is a process of sanctification. Like, we are sanctified. Mean, we are set apart, but we are also continually being set apart. Right? And. And we're pursuing holiness.
We.
We become. We were slaves to sin. We're now slaves to righteousness. And. And that's ultimately what we are called to do as a. A body of believers which kind of dials in or brings us into what we're going to dive into today. We titled today's episode Here I am, or the original word Hanini. I think I'm saying that right. Am I saying it right?
I believe so, yeah. I'm not a Hebrew scholar, but it sounds good to me.
You do know that when Jesus makes coffee, he brews.
Yeah.
Let us know how funny that was in the chat, everybody. Anyways, we are going to dive into this because it is. It is a.
A.
A word, maybe a phrase, if we want to call it that, of here I am. That's used multiple times throughout Scripture. Abram used this. Right. Or, you know, God calls. Called, called and said Abram. I'm just imagining that's what it sounded like. And his response immediately was hanini. Right. Or here I am. Moses, Samuel, Jacob, Jacob, Isaiah, even in the New Testament, Ananias. Right. Who ultimately went and, you know, spoke to Paul.
Right. And.
And that was, like, part of Paul's, like, huge conversion, if we want to call it after the. After the experience with Jesus on the road to Damascus. And we want to dive into this. Like, what does this really mean? And to. To say, here I am. I know it's something that Charlie Kirk actually mentioned, you know, for the past couple years. I remember him saying that when we went out to one of their events, he was like, here I am, God, use me. Yeah. Um, and no question was he used by God over the. Over the last few years. And we're seeing that, I think, in. In culture, at least here in America, where a lot of people have. Have, you know, this kind of fire in their belly. Right. There's been a, you know, call it revival of people that are, you know, standing up and maybe doing things that they weren't willing to do or didn't have that. That, like, fire in their belly that they once had. And I feel like there is this. This, like, here I am. Use me. But oftentimes it's also like, I don't do next. Right, right. Which is partly just why our. Our heart here with the King's Council is like, we want to be able to disciple not just entrepreneurs. That's where a lot of our focus was in the past. But we really felt God just stirring in our heart in this time period. It's like, yes, entrepreneurship is incredible. And again, I believe everybody is an entrepreneur. Doesn't matter what you do for work or even if you don't work, if. If you're willing to make yourself available to be used. An entrepreneur, right? You're, you're, you're, you're an overcomer, right? And so especially if you're a Christian. Right? And so we wanted to really just open up the King's Council to just more this understanding of what discipleship is, that, that we are, we're calling out God, here we are, use us, whatever it is that he has for us. And if you even visit our newly updated website, kingscouncilcommunity.org or it's easiest just to go to, join kingscouncil.com you can learn more about us and, and what we're all about. And again, like I mentioned, some future upcoming events and things like that that we're going to do here just to pursue Jesus. Right? Like, that's really truly what this life should be about, is about. And, and that's what our heart is here at the King's Council. So you can learn more about us there. Join kingscouncil.com that being said, here I am.
Yeah, and we all want our number to get called by Jesus, right? We all want to, if any of us are on the sideline, we all want to be ready, we all to be ready to get into game. But oftentimes when God called somebody or commissioned them, it wasn't for something so glorious or so prosperous. It was usually entailed something that would possibly cost them their life, which it did for a lot of the disciples. Isaiah, when he was commissioned, it was God flat out told him, because he said, well, you know, Isaiah, he asked like, okay, what is it now? Here I am, I'm gonna go. But what is it? And how, how long is it going to be? And he said, God basically told him, yeah, you're gonna preach this message to a lot of folks who don't want to hear it. They're going to reject you. You're going to be an outcast. And it's going to take many, many years of frustration and really despair before they actually get it. Yeah, it's like, oh, okay, would we be so quick to say, here I am, Lord, use me. Because it's exciting to think about. And I think we're in a season just in culture, in not just America, but the world in 2025, where there is revival there, there are a lot of folks who, even within the church, they were kind of just on the sidelines, just kind of doing church. Now they're fired up, okay, let's get after it. But what does that entail? What does that mean. Yes. So we're going to dive into that a bit today.
Yeah. And part of this, I think for, from our perspective, I've been diving into Second Chronicles or just, you know, Chronicles is actually, you know, both books. It's like one book, right. But if in our Bibles it's broken up into First Chronicles and Second Chronicles, and in Second Chronicles, chapter 16, verse 9, it specifically says this. For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him. Right. And this is something that really hit me. It's like God is, is his eyes are going to and fro. He's like he's scanning the earth looking for those whose heart is loyal to Him. Right. And if it's like man, if we, if we posture or position our hearts to, to, to being pursuing Jesus number one, but we have that we come to him with this, you know, here I am, Lord, use me. He is going to use you. Right. God is not a lack of resources by any means. He can literally do anything in a moment. But he's given us free will here on this earth to choose to do whatever we want. But when we come into alignment with him and posture our hearts to saying God, use me, because he's searching for those hearts. And even thinking about Paul, it's like kind of radical to me. Like Paul was a very determined individual. He was his, his heart was like, like he kept the law. Right. Like he, he did all of these things. He was, he was, you know, very self righteous in that aspect. But his heart wasn't towards Jesus at all. Right. And so that's, that's kind of what I, I mean like God can do anything. He can radically change somebody's hearts. I think we're seeing it in culture today like we're seeing famous people even that are like that. The, the soil has been softened, it's been fertilized and there is a harvest that's actually taking place here. But he's still, I believe, looking for those that, that are saying, God, here I am, use me. I want to be a part of this. Right. And that's what, I don't think this is even my opinion, I was going to say my opinion, but I believe this is, is, you know, biblically what success actually is. Is what were you obedient to purpose. Right. It doesn't matter if your purpose is a stay at home mom, your home, homeschooling those, those babies, like that is priority number one, right? Like, that is an incredible purpose. It doesn't matter if you are a CEO of some big company, if you're a truck driver, if you're a digital marketer, right? It's like, are you operating within God's purpose? Because you can be successful at a lot of things and still feel like a failure if you're not operating for God's God, for, for his God given intended purpose on your life. And that was the, a big revelation for me over the past five years. It's like I experienced a lot of what the world would call success, but still felt like a failure. I was financially doing okay, but I was spiritually bankrupt because I wasn't operating for the original intent of what my Creator had for me.
Yeah, right.
And I'm still like, this is part of my sanctification process. Right. And a lot of it has just been surrounding myself with those like, mindset people like yourself. And that's really what the King's council is about, like alignment number one with, with Christ and then alignment with others around us. Right. And, and that will ultimately unveil the assignment that he has for you. And so when, when I think again back to just two chronicles of like the eyes of the Lord, they're, they're scanning the earth, like, have you humbly, like, submitted, not just surrendered? I think this is a Christian term that's oftentimes like complete surrender to the Lord. But when I think of surrender, I think of like, you're waving the white flag, like begrudgingly, like you lost. Right. And that's one way to go about it. But what I think what Christ is really looking for is like those submitted to him, right. Am I going to be submitted? And I'm not again, a slave to sin, right? But now I'm a slave to righteousness. But because I've chosen to make myself follow those paths, because I'm now taking on an eternal mindset of what really matters now. Because these 50, 60, 70 years that we have here on this earth, man, they're freaking vapor. Yeah, right. At the end of the day, it doesn't really matter. But it does matter. It matters a lot. Because what we're doing here and now is, I mean, there are going to be eternal rewards, which. Let's do a whole episode on that at some point, man. Because I love talking about that because it does get me excited. Right? Because a lot of us are, especially if you are kind of that entrepreneur driven person. It's like we like accomplishments, but at the end of the day, it comes Back to. It's not what I can do. It's what God can do through me. Right. And if I'm going to make myself available to actually be used. Which brings me back to. I don't have it pulled up, but the other two Chronicles verse is so awesome. It's like those who. Who humble themselves and submit to the Lord. You want to pull it up quick?
Yeah, I think it's 7. 14.
14, right? Yeah. Christian's gonna pull it up here because this. This is a thing for, I think, even the United States because it talks about, like, healing their land here specifically. You want to say it?
Yeah. It says, if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and. And turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.
That's it, man. That's what we have to do here. And again, we live in America, I think, of a nation that is extremely blessed. Extremely blessed, right. Compared to other places throughout the world. But we take it for granted. And you can look back in scripture how many times over and over again, God rescues people, and they immediately go, like, back to their grumbling and. And just their wicked ways. Right. And I think this is what culture has. Has been doing here in America, and this is what I think needs to actually happen, is we need to humble ourselves, seek the Lord's face, right? That. That he would. Would heal our land. Right. That. That he would actually become, you know, Lord again. As. As. As this country was actually founded upon at one point in time, no matter what critical race theory or any of these other people want to tell you, we. America has been a Christian nation from. From the beginning. But when you look at the fruit right now, it doesn't. There's not a whole lot of it, right? But I think there is a spark. There's a revival here that's taking place. And this is what I want to encourage people out of today's show is just like, man, let's. Let's freaking go. Like, let's make ourselves available to be used to not just, you know, make a name for ourselves, but to make his name famous.
Yeah. Amen. Well, one thing that stands out to me in that verse is if you humble yourself, like, if they humble themselves, typically, that's a pretty tough act to humble yourself, because if you're not walking in humility, you're walking in pride. And one of the symptoms of pride is that you don't know you're prideful. You don't know that you lack humility. So I know I. I don't know if it's Mike Tyson or whoever, but you see it on T shirts. Be humble or be humbled.
So that was the singer Bizzle.
No, he's not humble. Oh, Kendrick. Lamar.
Lamar.
There we go. Yeah.
Somebody pray for me.
Yeah. I would classify him more as a rapper.
Yes.
Singer.
That's true. That's true. Yeah.
Although I did mention bizzle when. When you said singer. Yes. However, I think that's interesting because we all need to walk in humility. And we should, every single day, when we deny ourselves, take up our cross and follow Jesus. That. That's. That. That's what it is. It's laying our life down. It's that full surrender, submission to the Lord and that. That humbling. But if we're not seasoned Christian, if we're at that place where we're rebellious against God, we're not walking with him. How in the world do we actually humble ourselves? And I think God puts us in situations to humble us for sure. But no matter how wretched and how perhaps humiliating a situation might be for us, it always takes that. That own self will to actually humble ourselves. It's not something that God could just snap his fingers, but he will coordinate events in our life where we feel like, oh, man, I'm just in a. In this tough season. Oh, you know. You know the thinking of a country song where it's like, my. My girl left me, my dog left me. You know, all that stuff, right?
Yeah. Every country song.
I don't even listen to country. But. But from what you tell me, that's what a country song sound like.
I heard Rob McCoy say this on one of his. I'd listen to one of his sermons over the past couple weeks, and he's like, you know what they get when they. When you mix country and rap?
What? Crap. Crap, Yeah, I heard that too.
Did you?
Yeah.
But he's got jokes that.
Well, walking in humility as a key first step, and then says, and pray and seek my face. That seeking the face. David mentions that in the Psalms as well. He says, lord, you commanded me to seek your face. Seek your face. I will. And think about that. The seeking God's face is like, what does that actually mean? Because no man could see the face of the Lord, right? It means, think about this. If somebody's in a lineup in a police station, right? What, What. How are they identified? They're in that lineup. It's usually their face. Y.
Right.
You know, unless they have some sort of Tattoo that's abnormal or something like that.
Y.
But your face usually represents your identity, and that's what it means here. So we're seeking not just the face of God, but really his identity, who he is. And then you tie that to Matthew 16, where Jesus said to the disciples, who do you say that I am? And then that. That's when Peter makes that declaration of, you are the Christ, you're. You're the Son of God. Right? And it's knowing the identity of Christ. And that's when Peter's really. His identity changed from Petros to. To Petro, right? Where he went from this tiny stone to this rock, right? And for us, if we don't know the true identity of God, the true. His true character, all of his goodness, all of his wisdom, all of his counsel, all his grandiosity, then it's really not until we know his identity that we can know our own as his disciples. So when we. We humble ourselves, we pray, we seek his face. And again, part of that seeking his face is knowing his identity even greater. So we can know our own identity and then turn from our wicked ways. That. That's repentance right there, right? So that right there. This is. And this is part framework. Yeah, this is the framework. This is for all of us. This is the gospel message right here, essentially. And then what happens if we do all that? He says, I will hear from heaven. And that happens right now. This is Second Chronicles, chapter seven. But right now, if anybody on planet earth does these things, oh, you're going to have an encounter with the Lord. Yeah, no doubt.
Absolutely. That's good, man. In thinking of, like, whatever pride is mentioned, which I think is really like the root of every sin, if you. If you really boil it down, it's like we. We think that this life is about us, right? And I always think of in Genesis when, you know, when the serpent comes up and comes to Eve, and it's like, did God really say. And you know, he. Again, the enemy cannot block your blessing, but he can infiltrate your mind and cause you to block it yourself. Yeah, right. And we think about this is literally in the garden, and there's nothing but blessing. There's nothing but abundance in the garden of Eden, right? But the enemy got Eve to focus on lack, right? The one thing that God said not to do, and he caused her to question it. Like, did you know, did God really say that? Right. And what I think is so awesome about this too, even just the topic that we're talking about today, you know, obviously she ate from it, gave it to Adam. But when God came back on the scene, this is all in Genesis 3, the first thing he said was, where are you? Which it's not. I mean, he's God. He knows physically where they are. Right. So I don't think this is a question of where are you hiding? Are you hiding? You know, they're not playing like hide and seek here, but it's like, where is their heart? Where is the disposition of their. Even their mindset in this situation? And when he comes, he's like, where are you? Right. He knew where they were.
Yeah.
So it certainly wasn't a question of location, but a question of where was their heart's disposition. Did you know pride come into the way? Did you know doubt come in the way? I think, which is, it can be construed as even a version of pride because you're doubting your creator. Yeah, right. And it's like you think you, you know better. Come on. Right. That's, that's never the case. Never the case in this. So humble yourselves, man. Be humble. The great theologian Kendrick Lamar.
All right, we're back. We're back. We're. We're back. To you, I, I give it nine to 10 weeks before there's another episode. Before you're not rapping something.
You give it that long.
Yeah. Like the next 10 episodes, you're gonna be rapping something or singing something. Yeah, we'll see. Yeah. I'm fairly confident, if I was a betting man, if it was on DraftKings, I would put place that bet right now. Yeah. So anyhow, when we talk about being sent, I want to get into real quick before, before we even talk about, like Isaiah and him being commissioned. There's four commissions really, of Jesus from the time he resurrected to the time he ascended into heaven. We know the Great commission in Matthew 28. Right. And that, that's, that's part of it. That's one of the commissions. But the first one really comes in John 20. In verse 21, Jesus said to the disciples, he says, peace to you. As the Father has sent me, I also send you. So the first commission is we're. We're being sent. Yeah. He, he, he's searching to and fro to see who's willing to be sent. But that's our job. That's our commissioning as disciples, as followers of Jesus. If you're a born again, spirit filled believer of Jesus Christ, you're called, you were called out of the darkness, called out of the world to be sent right back in omniscient.
That's good. Even reminds me back to Genesis. I think this is probably one of my favorite books of the Bible.
You reference it often.
I do, but. Because I think it comes back. I mean, the first three chapters are just like, what was God's original intent? Right. We know thousands of years have taken place, but what was his original intent for creation? Full well, knowing that we're going to jack it up and there's going to be all this chaos and death and war stress and everything that's going on in the world today. But his original intent, right? And he gave us. He created man, he created woman out of man as a. As a great representation of, you know, part of this, the original commission that he had given us in Genesis 1:28, is to be fruitful, to multiply, replenish the earth, right? Have dominion. And I love this in, in John 20, what you're saying, he's like, I'm sending you. It's like, that hasn't changed.
Yep.
Right. And as when. When Christ even returned, the first thing he said was, hey, the kingdom of heaven is here, baby. Right. It's at hand. And. And if we understand that, I think it. It should instill in us or fire us up a little bit about like, no, we are still to be fruitful. As believers, we should be fruitful, right. Number one, like, are we producing fruit? Right? And it's not fruit like money. It's not. It's like, are we actually coming back to the identity? Are we bearing the character of Christ? Right. And if we are right, we can multiply that, and we can and should have dominion. And, you know, in John 20 here, he's saying, hey, I'm sending you. I'm sending you to continue to fulfill the original commission that he gave us in Genesis 1:28. This is great.
Yeah. So the first one is, we're sent, right? So imagine that we're called to be sent, but not many of us are willing to be sent out. And again, to. To be sent out means we're sent omniscient, period. Right. He called us out of the world to now go back into the world on mission. Now, as ambassadors of Christ, meaning we represent him, we represent Heaven. And if we're not walking in alignment with or. Or take a position where I agree with what heaven's plan is, then. And we're not choosing to be sent out to be missionaries. And again, missionaries isn't exactly going overseas. We're on mission to. And we're. We're called to Proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ. So the second thing, we're sent out, but the second thing is to all types of people. And that's where we get into that. Matthew 28, the great commission, which everybody's very familiar with. And Jesus says, go, therefore, make disciples of all the nations. Bapt them in the name of the Father and Son of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you. And lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age. But the. The key part here is we're. We're sent out to all types of people that were nations there that, like the United States of America wasn't here. Canada, Mexico, like our bordering countries, the nations aren't what they are today. Nations just. It's a Greek word, ethne. It's just different groups of people, different types of people. No one is not included in this. So it doesn't mean that you have to go overseas to be a missionary. You could be a missionary at your job, at the. At the water cooler Monday morning, talk about the football game, and then talk about Jesus a little bit. Nobody is dis. Excluded. Not discluded. That's not a word, is it? Excluded. Nobody's excluded.
Discluded.
There should be a meter of words I make up as well. What'll be more, the songs you sing or the words I make up?
It's good. One point that I want to make on this, too, is the commission here is to make disciples, not to make converts. Right. This is something I think evangelists are great at doing, is making converts, but that's not really what we're called to do. Evangelism should be the tip of the spear.
Evangelist Evangelism.
Evangelism.
Yes, yes, yes.
Evangelism. Evangelism is like the tip of the spear, but we are called to make disciples. Right. And so it's not just to. Preaching the gospel is one thing. Right. And that should be done in literally how we live our life. Right. We should be a representation of it with the. With the. With the fruit that we bear. The love, the joy, the peace, the patience, the kindness, the goodness, the gentleness. What else? Self control.
Yeah.
Did I get them all? I feel like I'm missing one.
You said them fast.
Okay. All right.
Love, joy, peace, patience, Kindness, Goodness. Goodness. Faithfulness.
Faithfulness. I miss faithfulness, gentleness and self control.
Yeah.
Yes. Like, that's the fruit that we bear. Right. And that is representing the gospel. Because at some point, people are gonna notice.
Yeah.
Right. I just love to think about Like, I am an evangelizer, and sometimes I use my words, right. And I think that's.
Or an evangelist.
Angelizer. Welcome to today's episode on Word Corrections. Man alive. But. But yes, that. That is like what we're. We are. We are evangelizing, but we are called to make disciples. Right. And, yes, evangelize, evangelizers, evangelists, sow seeds. Uh, but there also needs to be those that come along to actually, you know, fertilize and water, but then ultimately make disciples. But this is where I think a lot of people here in America just aren't. Are. They're not being discipled appropriately, properly.
Yeah.
And it's like discipleship, though, takes. It takes you, right? To. To take the action. It's not somebody else's responsibility to disciple you. You have to be the one to seek out a body of believers or people to be around to glean from and ask hard questions.
Right.
But being willing to actually be confronted on things and held accountable to things. And this is something, again, that I think we have a great relationship with amongst many other people within the King's Council community and mentors that we have. But ultimately, I mean, the best discipler, See, if this is a word, discipler is the word of God. Right. It's like getting your Bible right. But sometimes you need help with understanding. Like, what does this even mean? Diving into the root words, things like that. There's lots of software out there. But this is why God said it's not good for man to be alone. Right. We can also. We need to lean on others in those times of need to be actually discipled.
Yeah. You mentioned this past weekend, that was discipleship right there.
Yes.
Right. We got together and Brian and his wife Diane, they let it. But there was so much input and so much wisdom from everybody there, from those who are seasoned in the Lord, those who are a little bit newer in their walk with the Lord, because everybody has something to contribute.
Yes.
Right. It doesn't matter where you are in your walk. You'd be a babe in Christ and just offer profound words or perhaps a different insight, perhaps something that you thought of or you. You looked at something a certain way when you were a babe in Christ. And this is all new and, you know, warm and fuzzy before you really hit that. That warfare.
Right?
Yeah. And you're like, oh, yeah. I remember when I used to look at it, when it was so simple to me back then, you know, so that's discipleship. If you just show up to church on Sunday, and that's it. You're probably not a mature disciple. Yeah. Because it's hard. And a lot of people, you know, the opportunities are there for, for Bible studies, discipleship, but they just don't take that opportunity. So it's not always the fault of the church.
Right.
There's a lot of great churches that offer plenty of opportunities for discipleship, but people are like, I'm good. Showing up on Sundays. Yeah. This is enough for me.
Yeah. And so even just coming back to what we're talking about, it's like, here I am. It's a great phrase. And again, we see it multiple times throughout Scripture. But also, are you, are you taking action on that? Like, is your heart's disposition there's. And you're just sitting back and waiting on God to do everything for you. That's not how it works. Right. Like, he's. He's instilled in you the ability to, to work, the ability to seek those out. Right. To. To find those type of people. You know, to find a local body of believers. We're always going to, you know, the King's Council. We've been referred to a lot as, like our. On the online church. Right. But no, that's not. We, we are the church. Right. A body of believers that, that want to be discipled and want to grow in their faith. But there still is great, great benefits to actually being in a local body of believers.
Yeah. 100%.
Yep.
Yeah. Well, we could plug Wednesday mornings.
Yes. That being said, Wednesday mornings. Kingscouncilbiblestudy.com Every Wednesday morning, 7 o' clock Central standard time. Most of the time. All the time. It's Christian leading it. Unless he needs a day off or something, then I'll.
I'll come in and he could evangelize. He could be your evangelizer.
Yeah.
But we start 6, 30, 30 minutes of prayer and even that. Like, if you're not a part of a group that just gets together to pray together, you're missing out. Because in that time of prayer, that's when spiritual gifts start to stir. And, you know, you may have been praying for something for a long time, and somebody else in that time of prayer, they get a professional prophetic word for you, and boom, that's how God answers your prayer. That's how God gives you the, the counselor, the insight as to what you've been pressing in for. So. And that's all part of the discipleship process for sure.
Yeah, absolutely.
So, all right. One, we're sent out two to all types of people Three with a message. Right. And this is Jesus speaking. And. Or, well, this is Luke 24, verses 46 through 48. And it says, thus it is written, and thus it was necessary for the Christ. So it's not Jesus speaking, forgive me. That it was necessary for the Christ to suffer and to rise from the dead the third day, and that repentance and remission of sin should be preached in his name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. And you are witnesses of these things. So the message were sent out to all types of people with a message.
Yes.
And that message is the gospel. Yep. And when we were going through the book of Revelation on Wednesday mornings in chapter 14, John sees this angel and he's dispatched from heaven and he zips around the earth like it's crazy to think what this will actually look like in real time. Right? But he zips around the earth preaching the gospel and it says he preaches the everlasting Gospel. And this is going to be, you know, we're, we're called to be sent out and we want every ear on planet earth to, to know the name of Jesus. But it's not actually going to happen most likely until this angel goes and does it during that tribulation period. But one of the things that.
Go ahead, I was just going to say, and what he's preaching, when we say preaching the gospel, it is not just like God loves you and he wants what's best for you. He does. He absolutely does. But that there's a requirement on our part to actually, you know, follow into what's best for you. Right. So it's not this, it's not, not always this feel good message, which, you know, what I just refer to as like this cotton candy Sunday message at a lot of churches. It is actual repentance, right? It's like, which a lot of people don't like to hear because it, it hits that one thing that we mentioned, pride, Right. Because nobody wants to be corrected or told that what they're doing is wrong or that sin. Right. Like, because now we're judgmental, that that's not being judgmental. It's calling truth out. Right. It's like that's. That is what it is according to the word of God, which I believe is, you know, above any and all other things. And so sometimes you got to call a spade a spade, right? And, and this is where in Revelation, he's not, he's not zipping around saying, you know, if you come to Christ, your life's going to get better. He's like, no, repent, meaning turn around and start to go the other way, right? What salvation is. Salvation isn't just like, I. I'm going to repeat this prayer that somebody else told me to. To say and go on and continue to live my life in shambles and make terrible bad decisions, right? It is if to repent means to turn around, that could literally be 180 degrees from the direction that you're heading to the pits of hell, right? Turn around and start to walk the other way. Right? And. And that's. That I think needs to be spoken more of. And it's not. Not being judgmental. It's because I love you, right? It's because, like, man, if. If I. Knowing what's going to happen here when. When my flesh suit dies, right. My spirit lives, right? In Christ. We are. We are alive in Christ. And. And when any of my family members, any of my friends, people I don't know, right. My heart yearns for them to know Christ. Right? And that requires repentance. It requires to understand what sin is, what it isn't. And it's not. As Christians, it shouldn't be like, oh, I'm gonna try to go all the way to the edge of what sin is. But it's like, no, our heart's disposition should be changed. And this might not happen overnight, right? This isn't like, boom. I mean, Christian had an incredible moment where he was like, radically delivered from. From drugs, right? But a lot of people don't have that experience. And that's part of the moment that we repent. We say, Jesus is Lord of my life from here on out. Yes, I am sanctified. I am set apart, meaning I have become a royal priesthood. Right. But it's also the process of sanctification, and that is through discipleship that we mentioned. Right. And so, yeah, yeah. I don't know. I don't want to get off track too much on that.
No, that's fine. And let me correct myself. It was Jesus that said that. I had Luke. Yeah, Yeah. I had edited my own notes and I made it think like, it wasn't Jesus saying that. However it was.
But that's really why I go on rants, is for him to be able to look stuff up. Right.
Yeah. I. I can't stand. Well, people make mistakes. Just know that even if your pastor from the pulpit makes a mistake on something or he says something like, oh, that sounds weird. Maybe you just misspoke. So I'm not trying to. This isn't heresy by any means. I just Misspoke. However, that angel, one of the things that he does, he says, one of the things he says is fear God and give glory to him, for the hour of his judgment has come and worship him who has made heaven and earth to see in the springs of water. So it's this everlasting gospel, and he preaches to every nation, tribe, tongue and people, which he gets to him because the in heaven, there's going to be people of every nation, tribe and tongue. Right. But he preaches judgment as well. So it's not just like you say. It's not just, oh, come to Jesus, everything will be great. You'll be healed, you'll be restored. I. I always feel like I have a little Joel Osteen twang when I say stuff like that. I don't know, it's weird. But anyway.
Sparkle in your eye.
Yeah, it's just my hair is perfect like a helmet when I say those things. All your wrinkles go away.
Right?
But judgment, so that. That's the message that we preach. And the. The judgment is part of it because it's reality. We're sinners, but God's standard is perfection. We all miss the mark, right? We're going to be judged. And at the end of the day, if you have a problem with that, He's God. He makes the rules. And I think it's a pretty simple blueprint that he came up with. I mean, he sent his son, Jesus. Jesus, where all we have to do is believe in him. And that belief isn't just a head knowledge, because the devil believes, right? There's a head knowledge. The devil knows who Jesus Christ, knows that he's the Savior, knows that he died on a cross, resurrected three days later, ascended into heaven, 40 days after that, and one day he's coming back. The devil knows all that, but he just chooses not to obey, chooses not to make him Lord, chooses not to submit to him. So it's not a head knowledge, it's this, um, believe is more. Listen, I trust with everything I have, I believe, I rely on. It's really that. That's really what lordship is right there.
Yeah, that's good.
So we're sent out to all types of people with a message to what? Oh, gosh, I got so many tabs. You gave me a hard time about that. I have so many tabs open on my.
Empowered by the spirit.
Empowered by the spirit. Yes. And I'm pretty sure I have so many tabs open that when I click on them, they're so small that sometimes they X out. So I just actually X out of my notes.
Okay.
And I do need 32 tabs open at all times because. And this is why I misspoke with the Luke 24 reference, because I'm working on 18 different topics here, not just for today.
Well, while you're pulling it up, I'll read it. Acts.
Sure.
Chapter one, verse eight. It says this. But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you, and you shall be witnesses to me. Right. So we are sent out with a message, but we're empowered by the Holy Spirit. And I think this is, if anything, for me, this was like a freedom where it's not a works mentality or a works based on type of concept that we have to take on in this. Our. Our responsibility in this is, do we know the word of God? Right. Because there have been many times where, you know, sometimes I read scripture and it's like I'm, you know, sometimes I'm just like, I'm reading it to read it, but I'm not necessarily, like, getting any, like, some huge revelation out of it, but I know those are the times where it's like I'm. God is. Is. Is implanting that His Word on my heart so he can actually pull it up through his power, the Holy Spirit, when there is actually time needed. Right. It's like there's nothing more frustrating if you're working on your car and you don't have the tool that you need to work on the car.
Yeah.
Right. Not that I ever do that at all. But this is how you get the tools. Right. You spend time in the word of God.
Yeah. So we're sent out to all types of people with a message, empowered by the spirit that. Acts 18. We talked about it two weeks ago on this podcast where Acts 18. But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you shall. You shall be witnesses to me. Whenever you see power in the New Testament, it's a Greek word, dunamis. It's where we get the word dynamite from. Right. It's explosive. The same spirit that raised Christ from the grave. That's what lives in us, that resurrection power lives inside all of us. And we shall be witnesses. We talked about that, too. Witness in the Greek is martyr, Martin. Right. It's where we get the word martyr from. So with all these things, this is kind of the. The. The game plan that God has for us.
Right.
He calls us out of darkness to now send us back into that darkness. Now we're illuminated by the light of Jesus Christ. And we were sent to go out to all types of people with a specific message. A message of salvation, a message of love, a message of restoration, but also a message of judgment, empowered by the spirit. Yeah. It's like, all right, here it is. But now I'm gonna equip you with all that. You need to go ahead and do this. And then it. It just kind of leaves God thinking It's like, okay, this is it. Why. Why is not everybody. Who. Who calls me God, calls me Jesus, calls me Lord. Why is not everybody sitting there? Oh, oh, me, me. Here I am. Here I am. Because that. That calling and commissioning of all those guys in the Old Testament that you messaged, that you mentioned, the. Abraham, Moses, Jacob, Samuel, Isaiah, all them.
Right.
That. That's all of our. Our commissioning. Right. God's saying that to all of us now. It's not just. You got to be some. Some big shot in the Old Testament to be called by God. We're all being called to be sent out. Yep. And where's the. The. The church? And when I say church. The body. Because I believe God is still combing the earth right now, and he's not, like, stopping first at all the churches and say, okay, who are my true devout followers at the. At this church? Because it doesn't require being in a church building, although it should be where he goes to first, because we should all be at church and all. All be being built up, edified. But it's, like, where God's literally saying to all of us, I'm calling you. He's saying, hey, Riley. Hey, Jace. Hey, Christian. And our response better be, here I am, because this is the plan. Do I want. Like, if we're not in alignment with God's game plan, then what are we doing? We're missing the mark.
Yep. We're playing checkers while he's playing chess.
Right, right, right.
Yeah.
Can we dive into Isaiah a little bit?
Yeah, let's do it, man.
Okay. So Isaiah is fascinating because before he's commissioned, he has this. This moment. Isaiah 6, one of the more powerful chapters in all of scripture, and it says, at the beginning, in the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord sitting on a throne high and lifted up, and the train of his robe filled the glory, filled the temple. Now, it. If it sounds like that's, like, lyrics to a song, it is. Like, a lot of worship songs we sing are straight from scripture. Those are good worship songs to listen to. Yes. Above, it's the seraphim. Each one and seraphim, they are these angelic beings, similar to the cherubim, right? Cherubim, seraphim. Each one had six wings. With two he covered his face, with two he covered his feet. And with two he flew. And one cried to another and said, holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts. The whole earth is full of his glory. So Isaiah has this vision and these seraphim with their wings that God is so glorious that they can't, can't even reveal. They can't even see Him. Like they can't even reveal their eyes or their face to the Lord. And then he's so the. Think about the, the holy place of the altar, of the. The. The throne in heaven. It's so holy that I'm going to cover my feet. I'm not even worthy to stand before the Lord, right? And when Isaiah sees this, says, the posts of the door were shaken by the voice of him who cried out, and the house was filled with smoke. So I said, this is Isaiah speaking. Woe is me, for I am undone because I am a man of unclean lips. And I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips, for my eyes have seen the king, the Lord of hosts. Then one of the seraphim flew to me, having in his hand a live coal which he had taken with the tongs from the altar. And he touched what he touched. Isaiah just said, I'm a man of unclean lips. So he touched his mouth with it and said, behold, this is. Touch your lips, your iniquity is taken away and your sin purged. Also I heard the voice of the Lord saying, whom shall I send and who will go for us? Us, indicating a triune God. Then I said, here I am. Send me. And he said, go and tell this people. And it goes on. He gives them the message of what to go and say. And then Isaiah's like, okay, for how long? How long do I have to say this?
Right?
And he answered, and it. It's essentially a long time until the cities are laid waste and without inhabitant. The houses are without a man. The land is utterly desolate. The Lord has removed men far away, and the forsaken places are many in the midst of the land. It's like, wait a second, is that my lifetime? Like, this ain't like a one day commissioning.
Yep.
This is a lifetime commissioning. And the, the flow of this for him, which is truly remarkable is that Isaiah gets commissioned, right? The Lord says, who will go for us? And Isaiah has this moment, and he says, here I am Send me. But what just happened first, before he was commissioned, he confessed.
Yeah.
And he was cleansed. Right.
That's good.
So a lot of us, we want to be commissioned. It's like, okay, here. Here I am. Use me. But we're not in that place to be even chosen by God or. Well, we're all chosen because we just established that he's sending us all out. But how effective is this going to be? And if we feel like we're not hearing God say, I'm looking for somebody. I need somebody to do this. If you feel like you have no purpose, no mission, then go back to the basics. Go back to what Isaiah just did, where he confessed his sin and he was cleansed. Oh, kind of sounds like John 1:9.
Right? Right.
If you confess your sins, God is what he's faithful to forgive and cleanse of all unrighteousness. And that's what happened. And a lot of us, even believers, we walk around with unconfessed sin, even small sin, every single day. We should be like David in Psalm 139. I believe God, search my heart. Yeah, right. Like, if there's anything that I'm doing that's not pleasing to you, help me even see it within myself, because I want to bring it to your altar. Because I know you're faithful to. To shine that light upon my heart and allow me to bring it to you. So. So that there's nothing you could hold against me.
Yeah, that's good, man.
Who.
That is good. Yeah. Because I think even early on in my just kind of lordship walk with this, it was like, yeah, God, I want to be used. I want to be used. I want to be used. But I was. You know, there were lots of things I need to grow up in first and to mature in first. And I think that's just a great reminder of Lord, Yes. Our heart's disposition should be, lord, use me. But is there any unconfessed sin? Is there anything that you need to work on right before he can actually send you out? That's good. But that all comes back to just your heart's posture, your heart's disposition of, I want to be the best version of myself for God, so he can use me for others.
Yeah, right. And tell me we're not the same as we were more than 2000 years ago. 25.
Right.
2600 years ago with Isaiah. Tell me we're not the same. Because he was called to preach to a comfortable, complacent, religious, but not really obedient people kind of Sounds like the church today.
Yep. What happened in the Bible always happens in the Bible. Yeah, right.
Yeah. That's why the Bible is. It's our blueprint, and it never expires.
Yeah.
Never expires.
Yeah. Yeah. Man, this is really great. So that being said, I think the question is, for us, and you know, what I hope we're all just contemplating is like, yeah, if I want to be used, have I put myself in a position to be used? Right. I think this is. God wants our availability, but he also wants to make sure that we're going to be responsible with what he's given us to use and then accountable. Right. I think the parable of talents gives us a clear representation of that as well, of, are we going to make ourselves available like God, use me, here I am. But also, are we going to be responsible with what he's given us? Right. If we're faithful with a little, he'll give us more. Right. And so. And oftentimes that is just something that we need to work on internally. But that is part of the sanctification process. Right. It's like every day our heart's disposition should be, you know, Lord, if there's any unconfessed sin in my life, if there's anything, just shine a light on it. Right. And, you know, my prayer for the last number of years has just been, lord, break my heart for what breaks yours, you know, and highlight areas in my life that I need to work on. Yeah, Right. And that's part of just this transformational process that we need to take on. Right. And it is our heart's disposition. But, you know, Romans 12:2 is that we got to be transformed by the renewing of our mind. Right. And it's like a lot of it starts in this mindset that. That we're developing, which I think we'll. We'll talk about here in the next few weeks, too, of just like, what does it mean to have like a. A kingdom mindset or the mindset of a king?
Yeah.
Right. And so this is good, man.
Any.
Any final thoughts or takeaways on this from you?
Yeah, let's wrap it up with this. You mentioned Ananias in Acts chapter nine, where he was called to be the one to really minister and sealed the deal on Saul's salvation, where he went from Saul to Paul. Now, also one more time in Revelation 3:20, it's for anybody out there who doesn't know the Lord, know this. Jesus says, behold, I stand at the door and knock if anyone hears my voice. And opens the door, I will come into him and dine with him, and he with me. The. The word in the King James is sup. It's really fellowship, right? If you want fellowship for.
For dying. Is that sup?
Yeah.
Is that where we get supper?
I think so. Interesting.
I thought it was just like a, a poor Midwesterners term. I grew up saying supper, right?
I learned it the, the King James. That's why some of those references, I know, it's like sup? And then you switch over to new King James or something else. When you're like, it's probably easier to read a different translation, right? However. But the whole idea, think about if you have dinner with somebody, right? Like a nice dinner where you're sharing stories, you're fellowshipping, right? That's what God wants with us. He wants that oneness. He wants that intimacy. He wants that oneness. But when he says, behold, I stand at the door. That word behold is comparable to here I am. So we're all call to say, here I am when God calls our number. But if any of us are seeking God, know that he's seeking us first. Luke 19 establishes that the son of man, he didn't just come to save the lost, but to seek and save the lost. And here he says, here I am. I stand at the door and knock. And I've heard countless testimonies of people who said once they came to salvation, they. They realized that God had been knocking on the door. All those circumstances, all those things that, that you were pulled through that. It's like, I shouldn't even be here today, but I was. And how life, God took you down this journey to ultimately get you to that realization that he's not so far, he's not so distant away. He's standing right outside the door of your heart, and he's knocking, saying, here I am. And I. I shared this on Bible study a couple weeks ago. My son Ezra, who, you know, brilliant kid, he's a bit of a nerd, five years old. And when I taught him how to play hide and go seek, he just didn't get it. I'm like, he was 2. He's like reading already. I'm like, how do you not understand high and go seek? It's the simplest of games, right? And he would always want me to count. And he would go hide, and he would go hide somewhere. And when I counted to 10 or 20, whatever it was, ready or not, here I come. And I go to seek him out. And seconds later, he would jump out from wherever he is. And here I am. Here I am, right? And every time I read any of these verses about here I am, I think of that. And then it just brings me to a place where we all want God in our lives. We all are called to seek Him. But how quickly did that game of, of hide and seek end? When he started to seek the seeker? Jesus is the seeker. If we actually start seeking him, he's seeking us as well. Guess what? That game ends real fast.
Yeah, right.
Yeah. It's inevitable. We're going to find him. If we're actually seeking, he's literally right outside the doors of our hearts knocking and just asking for us to open up and let him in. If, if somebody hears the gospel and rejects Jesus, this is why there's judgment. You had an opportunity and it's our job not to share some watered down gospel, is to share this to, to, to dive into scripture, to actually know Jesus and Noah's word. Because Jesus actually saves. We're talking about all of eternity. So if you're hearing this and, and put amen in the chat, if this is speaking to you right now, but if somebody needs to hear this, you have somebody in your life that doesn't know the Lord. Maybe it's you that doesn't know the Lord. Know that Jesus is seeking your heart right now as if you were the only person on planet earth yet to be saved. He is seeking you right now. He wants your heart. He wants your. Yes, he wants to be Lord of your life. And it's not to be enslaved to Jesus. So we could be in, in bondage as a slave. It's so we could actually have freedom. Where the spirit of the Lord is, there's freedom. There's liberty, right? You'll be as free as you've ever been. You'll have more peace than you even knew existed on planet Earth. And you'll actually experience a love that. I don't care how great your, your mommy or your daddy was your spouse, I don't care how much they love you until you feel the love of Jesus, you don't even know what love is.
That's good, man. That's good. And I would just say, you know, if you are even listening to this and you know, wondering, like, I don't even know what to do. It's very simple. Just cry out to the Lord, right? It's as simple as that. It's confessing him as Lord. But then it is also that, that repentance, right? That, that turning around. And if you need help with that. If you are looking for, like, I don't even know what's next, that's where I'm going to just invite you to go to join Kingscouncil.com and get involved in our community. There's no cost to this at all other than we're going to hold you accountable.
Right.
Right. I think that's something that we need to all do each and every day. Right. Because we are told to count the cost. Right. To pick up the cross every single day. But knowing that it is going to cost you something. Right. It cost you your life. Right. It's like it's no longer. You are no longer in control. But Christ is. And. And that. There's such a freedom of that. There's such a. That liberty that you just mentioned there in that. And it does. It's not necessarily going to get easier. Right. But it's you. You are now yoked with Christ and ultimately his burden is light.
Yeah.
Right.
Amen.
