Mercy, udgment, & The Coming Harvest

Roger leads a Bible study on Revelation 14, exploring the 144,000 sealed servants, the Antichrist, and what spiritual purity and worship mean during the tribulation. The group discusses grace, judgment, and how believers are called to share the gospel in the end times.
Is merciful, it's unconditional, and it's by no means conditional. So, Roger, what's happening, man? Not much.
Just making sure we're live and everything's streaming and all the stuff's working.
I'm good. I'm good. How are y'? All? Doing well. Doing well. If you guys could turn on your. Your videos, that'd be great. I want to welcome everybody who's watching on YouTube, see more and more people, whether they're watching live or catching a replay. It's great to see people tuning in, and hopefully they're being blessed by this. Hopefully. Well, this week we're. We're going to be in Revelation 14 as we're making our way through the Book of Revelation. We are in July already. We started first week of January, so we're. We're going through slowly. But I pray it's been a blessing. And you guys have been gleaning from the Word of God, Revelation 14. I. I think there's a lot for us to glean from Revelation 14. So we're gonna just dive right in. I'll read the whole chapter and then, well, we'll break it down verse by verse. But I really want to point out some specific things that we certainly could glean from this chapter as we, you know, the Book of Revelation, it's a prophetic book. Sometimes it seems like it's hard to understand, hard to interpret, but as always, whenever we read the Word of God, there's usually some way where God could speak to us and convict us in. In some way or another. And there's also. Sorry, I just lost my screen for a second.
There you are.
And as we jump in, Raj, thank you. You put the notes for today in the chat. If you guys haven't downloaded or I guess just clicked on that folder that I've created for Bible studies, there's notes for every Bible study in there, more extensive than what we have time to cover over the course of an hour usually. So if you want to click on that, open them as we go, certainly feel free to do that. But I'll read through the whole chapter first, and then I'm gonna pull out some important things for us to. To dive into. So revelation, chapter 14. And we. We're picking up from chapter 13, where last week, if you guys were here, we talked about the Antichrist, who is the beast that will rise from the sea, and we talked about the false prophet, who is kind of the. The evil version of John the Baptist, who's turning everybody towards the Antichrist. The Antichrist will be a political figure. He's going to establish a, a, a one world government. There'll be one governmental system, one currency. And ultimately we read by the last verse of chapter 13 that if you don't take the mark of the beast, one, you're going to be killed. Right, but we're going to see here, even in this chapter, what happens to those who take the mark of the beast. And it's not something that people will do kind of by happenstance. If they take the mark of the beast, they're not just going to casually do it. It's going to be a mark of their worship of this Antichrist. So it's not going to be a situation where you're almost forced into doing it. You're going to be deceived into doing it. Not you, not you guys, those who are still here on the earth. But I believe the church will be raptured by this time, not Revelation. Tribulation starts so Revelation chapter 14, starting at verse one. Then I looked and behold, a lamb. Remember I mentioned that Lamb is the, the title that Jesus most goes by in the book of Revelation. Yes, he's the lion of the tribe of Judah. We, we like to refer to him as such, but he's only called the lion one time. Mostly throughout the book of Revelation, you'll see him referred to as the Lamb. And it's important for us to be mindful of that at all times. He's the lion? Yes. When we draw our strength from him, when we, when we're in warfare, spiritual warfare. Yes. He's. He's the lion of the tribe of Judah. But he's the Lamb. He's the sacrifice. He's the propitiation for our sins. So John looked and behold a lamb standing on Mount Zion. And with him 144,000 having his father's name written on their foreheads. And. And I heard a voice from heaven, like the voice of many waters and like the voice of loud thunder. And I heard the sound of harpists playing their harps. They sang as if it were a new song before the throne, before the four living creatures and the elders. And no one could learn that song except the 144, 000 who are redeemed from the earth. These are the ones who were not defiled with women, for they are virgins. These are the ones who follow the Lamb wherever he goes. These were redeemed from among men, being first fruits to God and to the Lamb. And in their mouth was found no deceit for they are without fault before the throne of God. Then I saw another angel flying in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach to those who dwell on the earth, to every nation, tribe, tongue and people, saying with a loud voice, fear God and give glory to him. For the hour of his judgment has come and worship him who made heaven and earth, the sea and springs of water. And another angel. We're going to see six angels here. Two sets of three. So this is the second angel of the first set. And another angel followed, saying, babylon is fallen, is fallen that great city, because she has made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication. Then a third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, if anyone worships the beast and his image and receives his mark on his forehead or on his hand, he himself shall also drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out full strength into the cup of his indignation. He shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb. And the smoke of their torment ascends forever and ever. And they have no rest, day or night, who worship the beast and his image. And whoever receives the mark of his name. Here is the patience of the saints. Here are those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus. Then I heard a voice from heaven saying to me, right, Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on. Yes, says the spirit, that they may rest from their labors and their works follow them. Then I looked, and behold a white cloud. And on the cloud sat one like the Son of Man, having on his head a golden crown and his hand a sharp sickle. And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to him who sat on the cloud, thrust in your sickle and reap, for the time has come for you to reap, for the harvest of the earth is ripe. So he who sat on the cloud thrust in a sickle on the earth, and the earth was reaped. Then another angel came out of the temple which is in heaven. He also having a sharp sickle. And another angel came out from the altar who had power over fire. And he cried with a loud cry to him who had the sharp sickle, saying, thrust in your sharp sickle and gather the clusters of the vine of the earth, for her grapes are fully ripe. So the angel thrust his sickle into the earth and gathered the vine of the earth and threw it into the great wine press of the wrath of God. And the wine press was trampled outside the city and blood came out of the wine press up to the horses bridles for 1600 furlongs.
Okay, there's a lot there.
Yeah, there's a lot there. And we're gonna work through it.
Verse.
By verse, kind of topic by topic here. And obviously the chapter opens up with the 144 000. Now we first read of these 144000 back in Revelation chapter 7. And these are the. The 144000 from the 12 tribes of Israel. Now the 144000 were. It's not revealed to us till right now in this chapter. It says in chapter seven that they were sealed, right, Protection through tribulation. And we see what that seal is now. It's the name of God written on their foreheads. So we see how the Antichrist is such a counterfeit, how he. His mark goes on the foreheads of those who worship him or on their. Their right hand. But they're sealed with the name of God on their forehead. And it says that they're standing on Mount Zion with the Lamb. So this shows that they did emerge victorious from the great tribulation. Now, Mount Zion could be. Some people see this as the Mount Zion in a heavenly sense, but it probably makes more sense that this is a literal picture of John seeing them on Mount Zion of earth. Zion being the ancient name for the hills that make up Jerusalem. And it's the place where the Messiah gathers his redeemed and reigns over the earth. Isaiah 24:23 says, for the Lord of hosts will reign on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem and before his elders gloriously. Joel 2:32 says, and it shall come to pass that whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved. For in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there shall be deliverance, as the Lord has said, among the remnant whom the Lord calls. So this is most likely a literally Earth, these 144,000, they are standing on Mount Zion victorious as they have been sealed. And we talked about a little bit the great Tribulation, that there is opportunity. And we see the theme of mercy and God's long suffering and his patience for us. For those who dwell on the earth at this time. Remember that term, those who dwell on the earth is used eight times in the book of Revelation. And it refers to those who are rebell towards God, those who are opposed to God. So even through the midst of tribulation, and we see it today, we. We see people that no matter what God does to get their attention, there's many who simply stay rebellious against them. And many of our own testimonies include times of being at the end of our ropes, times of just being at our wit's end, times of where we can do anything but drop to our knees and cry out to the lor. And that's why the fire and the intensity of tribulation keeps getting turned up. It's like, okay, you still don't believe. You still won't turn to me. What more do I have to do to get you to just cry out to me as your God, as your Lord, as your Savior? The voice of many waters. We spoke about this similar Description in Revelation 1 and 4. And this is simply the voice of God. And when you think of the voice of many waters and the voice of loud thunder, just think of how loud, like, if you're standing at Niagara Falls, how loud the sound of water is. I mean, last night it was pouring rain. Just. Just hearing the. The rain, how loud and almost deafening it could. It could be. So the voice of God, this loud, thunderous, powerful voice, and he heard the sound of the harpist playing the harps. And if we could recall back in Revelation 5, the elders that are seen in heaven, the elders representing the church, they. They had harps. Now they're singing a new song to the Lord. Have any of you just, like, woke up one day, you started singing a song and it was like, that ain't. That's not even a real song. You just started singing some worship towards the Lord, right, Roger? See you smiling. You definitely do. And I'm by no means a singer. I'm by no means a songwriter. I have a good friend up in New Jersey named John who is both of those things. He's one of those guys who just taught himself how to play every instrument, has a great voice. So he's constantly writing new songs and just singing new songs to the Lord. But we all sing new songs to the lord, right? Psalm 96 says, oh, sing to the Lord a new song. Sing to the Lord. All the earth, sing to the Lord. Bless his name. Psalm 40, verse 3 says, he put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. If we could recall back to Exodus 15, after crossing the Red Sea, the Israelites, they sang a song of triumph, a song that was new, a song of worship. And these new songs are. Are often signs that represent power, mercy, victory. So when God brings you through victory, oftentimes you'll have a. A song in Your heart of worship and let those. Those words just reach the atmosphere. Just praise God. I don't care what your voice is, what it sounds like. It's probably not worse than mine, quite frankly. And if you live in my house, you've heard. You've heard my voice. You've heard me singing to the Lord. Yeah, Oftentimes I'll. I'll. I'll join in when Lucy is singing. And we do it to each other, one of us, and just kind of start singing a worship song, and the other one will chime in. And when I'm singing, I'm just, like, singing to the Lord, even just around the house. And she chimes in, even though she sounds so beautiful. She's got the voice of an angel. I'm like, hey, hey, babe. This is solo. Just. It's me and God here. You're. You're messing up my worship. But I always appreciate her jumping in, but I do the same thing to her. Even worse. If she starts singing, if anybody starts singing, I'm gonna. I'm gonna join you in singing. And it's important that we. We do lift up our voices to the Lord. Psalm 22:3 says that God inhabits the praise of his people. And that word inhabits is the. The Hebrew word yashab, which means to. To dwell, remain, or abide. So how powerful is that? And it says that these 144,000, they sang as if it were a new song before the throne. So these 144,000, their feet are standing on Mount Zion, but their. Their voices, their hearts, their spirits are reaching heaven. And that's what. What worship is. Worship is just an opportunity for. For heaven to meet earth. And as we worship the Lord, I'm sure many of you could attest to just being in a time of worship where you literally feel like you've been plucked off of this earth and you're just sitting in heaven.
Right?
You feel the presence of the Lord. You feel just this. That. This holy reverence that just knocks you off your feet. And worship creates this dwelling place for God. He doesn't just visit it. He abides in our worship. He abides in our praises. God is everywhere. He's omnipresent. But that verse in Psalm 22:3, that he inhabits the. The praises of his people when, even though God's omnipresent, His presence manifests when we're in worship and he's felt. We feel that he's active, we feel that he's engaging. And we. We just have this close we feel that he's engaging. Just have this close encounter with him. So sing out to the Lord. Cry out to the Lord. Be in that place of worship. Sing new songs to the Lord. Whatever your heart is feeling in that moment, just sing out. Just praise God for who he is, that he's good. Continue. Praise it. Praise him and remind yourself of how good that he is.
Right.
Sometimes we take for granted how good he is, but he is worthy of all of our praise, Absolutely all of our praise. Now, when it says that these 144,000 were not defiled with women for they are virgins, you know, some Bible commentators believe that they were literal virgins, right? And some think that it's not in a literal sense, but more that it's a picture of their. Their pur.
Right.
Their purity as believers. Now, the term virgins is a picture of purity in a little. Now the term virgins is a picture of purity in a little sense. As far as some of the Old Testament scriptures where it describes, since as far as some of the old tests, Israel as the virgin of the daughter of Zion, the virgin, the daughter of Zion as the virgin daughter of Zion, of the. The virgin, the virgin of Israel. Excuse me, but I. I would tend to think that this is not literal, that they were virgins. They could be literal virgins, but ultimately it means the devotion and consecration to the Lamb, Right? Which in that sense, we're all called to be virgins. Paul says in 2nd Corinthians 11:2, For I am jealous for you with godly jealousy, for I've betrothed you to one husband that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ. Now, to be a virgin before the Lord means the Lord has your undivided loyalty and attention, that you're set apart, you're reserved like a bride waiting for a bridegroom, that you're pursuing holiness not because you're flawless, because you want to please. The Lord now says that they're without fault, they're blameless, doesn't mean that they're sinless.
Right?
We could be blameless, but we're not sinless. Hebrews 4 establishes that it's only Jesus, the only one who walked this earth sinless, and the only one who ever will walk this earth sinless. Hebrews 4:15. Blameless means to live with integrity, to live with consistency, that no one could bring a charge of hypocrisy or willful rebellion against you remember Daniel, back in the Book of Daniel, they were trying so hard to find fault against him. And said no fault could be be charged against him.
Right?
It says that Job, obviously Job was sinful, he had to repent, but he was blameless, right? So the idea of us being blameless, I, I think is one that one we, we take for granted, right? But it's just a remarkable thing to know that even though we're sinful, we could be seen as blameless. Now, in, in biblical days, what would happen was when you were betrothed to, to be married, right? That betrothal process, typically a friend of the male or the husband will kind of keep an eye on the, the bride to be to make sure she remained pure.
Right?
Now, Paul, in that verse in Second Corinthians, he's kind of identifying himself as that friend. Hey, I'm here to make sure that the bride, who's us, the church, that they remain pure. And we should all do that just as believers. We are to, to work together to help other believers in the Lord, because collectively we should all do that just as believers. We are the bride, we are to. To work together to help other believers in the Lord because collectively and Jesus is the bridegroom, and one day there is going to be a big we are the bride and Jesus is the bridegroom, and one day there is going to be a big royal heavenly wedding in the sky. But Paul is saying, hey, I'm that friend that's going to help keep you pure. I'm royal heavenly wedding in the sky. But Paul is saying, hey, I'm that friend that's going to help keep you pure. I'm the one that's going to help you walk the straight and narrow. And knowing that level one is going to help you walk the straight in the life of legalism and just rules and religion, but to narrow and no, not live a life of legalism and just rules and religion, but to help keep you blameless, I want to ask you guys, help keep you blameless. I want to ask you guys how. What do you have to do? What do I have to do? What do we have to do to be blameless in the sight of the Lord? Is it just, you know, waking up, making sure we check off all the boxes of religion? Is it waking up every Sunday, make sure we get to church? What is it in your opinion that we have to do to just be blameless before the Lord? Bueller.
Everyone all at once, maybe just.
Like a state of constant state of repentance.
Constant state of repentance. Yeah.
What.
What does that look like?
That.
That doesn't. If you Just tell. Tell somebody they have to live in a constant state of repentance. It's like that. That it feels like you're saying you're always screwing up. You always gotta, like, say sorry.
I don't know. I don't know about that. I mean, I think, you know, maybe. Maybe it just comes with, like. Like a certain amount of. Of maturity to just know that we. No matter what we do, that we all fall. We just all fall short and that we have to be in.
Maybe it's. It's a.
It's maybe just an acknowledgment. I mean, that's a heavy question. I mean, I don't know what we can do to. To be blameless outside of, you know, just. I mean, the simple answer is we're, you know, as long as we're under the blood of Christ and we've accepted him as Lord and Savior, then. Then he sees us as blameless. But to actually be blameless or try to be that.
I don't know. Yeah, because, I mean, Paul tells us in Philippians 2, I believe it is to. Yeah. 2. 15. To be blameless and pure. To be blameless and pure. Children of God without fault and a warped and crooked generation. To always walk in a way where you're. Without fault. Jonathan, you're unmuted. And Zach, want to chime in as well?
Well, I was just trying to. Because it seems like it's different than sinless, right? So, like, without sin. So that's different than, like, missing the mark. So I was just trying to, like, figure out, like, blameless where. Or fault is. So is fault and blameless. I was trying. Is there a correlation more than sinless and blameless? There's. And how that I feel like it has to do with. Actually, Zach.
So this last Sunday, you kind of mentioned this on prayer Christian, The. The idea of being a slave to Christ.
Right.
Not being a slave to sin, but being a slave to Christ. And so I shared this concept with some of the young adults when we're kind of mulling this over. And sometimes, and oftentimes I just pray to the Lord and I put my hands up and I say, God, this is as good as I am. This is as much as I can do on my own. Anything beyond this is to your glory. I think there's this heart posture where we're submitted to Him. He has our yes before he asks. And he has our heart and our submission. I think that something about the combination of those two having our heart and our submission at that point, If I'm doing what I can do on my own strength, everything else is the Lord's. I mean, I don't make something and then blame that thing for not being good, right? At that point, I'm like, if I'm doing what I can do on my own strengths, at that point, I don't. I don't have any more blame. It's just the way that I am, really. If I have to be any better, I say, lord, like, if in this case, if I have to do any better, like, you've got to do that work in me. So I think it's that. That devotion, that submission, and also a heart posture, if that makes sense.
Yeah, yeah, you're. You're very. When you speak, Zach, you usually end it with if that makes sense. And usually when you speak, everybody's like, oh, man. Like, yeah, yeah, that makes a lot of sense. So be sure of what you're saying, man, because we. We definitely receive it. You communicate well what you're trying to say, Donald.
Yeah, Zach kind of took my point with the heart posture.
So, yeah, that, like, that's.
That's just where my.
My brain goes is. It's like, okay, it.
Because Christ is, like, more focused and cares more about, like, our heart and where we actually put ourselves.
Yeah, yeah. The idea of devotion and consecration, right. Like, usually we. We kind of reserve if we even do our best to act out being consecrated to the Lord, it's like, okay, I'm gonna fast from this time period of that time period, I'm going to consecrate myself to the Lord. But that consecration should be a constant thing. We should be always consecrated to the Lord where he has our. Our full devotion, our full attention. Right, Reuben, what do you have?
Yeah, Being blameless for me is not totally being. How do you say it? Out of the flesh, because the flesh will still be attacking us with temptations as long as we're in this body. But being blameless as well as being in a state where we sin less and less, not when we are sinless, but less and less. Well, as being famous is in position, he sees us with Jesus report card, which is perfect. Totally blameless. So in God's perception, we already reached that state because he sees us through Christ. Thank you.
Yeah. Amen. I see Lauren's answer. Lauren, you don't have to give credit to Chat GPT. Just put that in as your response. You don't need. You're muted. I said, yeah, if I had Chat GPT in my mind. You do. You can't tell me that if you just unmuted and said was on your heart, you wouldn't say exactly these same things. You. You have the spiritual chat GPT in your mind. I'm confident. But yeah, it's a life marked by integrity. Integrity is so big. It's one of my core values. Integrity should be a given. If you're a believer, you should walk in. Integrity. Your that should be yes. Your no should be no it shouldn't. Your. Your words should always align with your actions. Or rather I should say your actions should always align with your words. No hypocrisy in your life. Yeah, integrity and consistency and hypocrisy. Charge of can bring a charge of hypocrisy or willful rebellion against you. From the notes. Should have looked there first. Awesome. But yeah, we, we. If you guys remember the. The book of Hosea, right, He marries this prostitute and he loves her. He chases after her. He's an awesome husband. But then she goes back out and prostitutes herself again. And what does Hosea do? He. He buys her back. It's already his wife, but he buys her back. He redeems her. And it's a picture of Hosea being God and Gomer being Israel. And it's a picture of Hosea being Jesus and Gomer being us, his church where we, we. We commit spiritual adultery at all times, right? So we're to be blameless and to really be spiritual virgins before the Lord, where we're pure, we're blameless. And are we sinless? No. But first, John 1:9 reminds us that when we sin, right? Confess, repent, confess those things. He's faithful to forgive us. He's faithful to. To cleanse us of our unrighteousness, right? And so as soon as there's a charge against us, as soon as we're. We're at fault, as soon as we're to blame, all it takes is that. That confession, that repentance, and all of a sudden we're. We're washed by the Lord and deemed as righteous and pure and blameless Again. You're like born again virgins, right? We're born again virgins as far as our purity, which is crazy to think about, but that's how God sees us. So when we're seen as blameless in the eyes of the Lord, we're to feel no condemnation, right? When we mess up, we should feel conviction. We talked about that a little bit last week, feeling conviction rather than condemnation. But we are to all walk as spiritual virgins. And if you look even at verse 8 when it says the second angel said Babylon is fallen. And we're going to get more into Babylon and what Babylon represents as really more in chapter like 17. So we'll dive deeper into that. But it says Babylon has fallen. So this. This world system, this a worldly rebellious view towards God, Babylon will ultimately fall. That rebellious view will fall. And it says, because she has made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.
Right?
And even that fornication there is just that spiritual adultery. That idolatry is a form of spiritual adultery. And that's why idolatry is so dangerous for us and obviously have no. No idols is one of the Ten Commandments or. Or graven images. But no idols in our lives where anything. It takes the place of God in our life. What's number one in our life? It should always be Jesus, right? So. And that kind of segues into this angel that's dispatched to fly in the midst of heaven, and in the midst of heaven there. It's not the angels dispatched in heaven in the midst of the skies. When I read this, I don't know if anybody. I'm sure you don't get the same picture as I do, but do you guys remember on the Flintstones, that little, like, alien creature that would fly around? I think his name was Gazoo or something like that, and it would just, like, whiz around. When I. When I read about this angel, I just kind of picture that. That guy, he's like this little green alien named Gazoo. And I. I don't know what this angel is going to look like. But ultimately, when Jesus said in Matthew 24 that it's not until every ear hears the name Jesus that he'll return, that this is when it's going to happen.
Right?
Every. We would think by now, with all the technology we have, with all the missionaries we have on planet Earth, that every. Good job, Raj. Good job. Yeah, I wasn't even, like, a huge Flintstones fan. I just remember I probably haven't seen the Flintstones in about 38, 39 years. But that guy right there. And is his name Kazoo? Kazoo, something like that? Yeah. It's crazy that I can remember that. So, yeah, that's the angel right there that's going to preach the gospel to the entire world. And just what will that even look like? Obviously, people of different tribes, tongues and languages are going to speak different languages. Is he going to, like, whiz over to one region and preach the gospel in One language, whiz over to another area, preach it in another language. I don't want to be on earth when this is happening. I don't believe I will be or any of you will be on earth when this happens. But it's just a remarkable picture to think about what this will actually look like. But when you think about God in his mercy in the midst of this tribulation, this is the only time we see in scripture an angel preaching the gospel. We're tasked with preaching the gospel, us as the church. We're to go out, preach the gospel, make disciples. And now, because aside from those 144,000, now we, we know that there's going to be tribulation saints. We know that there will be revival in the midst of tribulation. We know that there's going to be two witnesses. That first half of the, the seven year period, those first three and a half years, there's going to be two witnesses preaching the gospel. They're going to be killed for it. There's going to be tribulation saints, they're going to be killed for it. By this point, if these saints have not taken the mark of the beast, they will be killed, right? And that's why it says that these 144,000 are the first fruits, right? Because God sealed them, he called them, he sealed them and he protected them through tribulation to lead others to Christ. As they're leading others to Christ, they're being killed for their faith. They're martyrs. But these 144,000, they're sealed with the name of God across their foreheads. And this chapter here establishes that they, they're protected through rap tribulation. When Jesus comes back, they're going to be standing on Mount Zion. They're going to be standing with Jesus, who's manifested in physical form when he returns from heaven to the earth. But this angel is dispatching the gospel. And I want to take something away from the way the angel preaches the gospel. It says that he has the everlasting gospel, right? So the gospel he preaches, whether tribulation starts, you know, if the rapture happens today and this is like seven years from, from now or it's 700 years from now. The gospel is the gospel, right? And one of the, the issues in church, especially in the west, is that we preach a watered down gospel because what this angel preaches, he says, he said with a loud voice, he preached the gospel to all those who dwell on the earth, of all nations, tribes and tongues. But then he said with a loud voice, fear God and give glory to him, for the hour of his judgment has come, and worship him who made heaven and earth. So if we preach the gospel without a message of judgment, are we effectively preaching the gospel? And that's not a hypothetical. I want to open that up and see what your thoughts are on that. When we preach the gospel, are we preaching. When we're sharing Jesus, are we preaching a cheap grace? Are we just sharing just all the goodness, all the love, all the grace, all the mercy of Jesus? Because it's the good news, right? But the good news can only come in the backdrop of something bad. Why is this good news? Why, why is it good news that. That Jesus died for our sins? It only comes on the backdrop because if we don't turn to the Lord, if we don't repent, if we don't surrender to the Lord, then ultimately why do we need this good news if there's not a consequence or a repercussion? Everybody loves a preach. John 3:16. For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him shall not perish but have everlasting life. But then if you continue on, it says, for God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through him might be saved. But verse 18 says, he who believes in him is not condemned, but he who does not believe is condemned already because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son. So it's yeah, the God so loved the world, right? Sent his only begotten Son. All you have to do is believe you'll be saved. But if you don't believe even now, it's not, you will be condemned later. If you don't even believe now, you're already condemned, you just don't know it. So without that message of judgment, are we preaching the gospel? I want to hear your thoughts on that.
I would want it so bad to make a Joel Osteen joke, but I won't do it. So I think that just like anything in life, if, if there isn't a reason that we need it. Just, I mean, like for example, you see these old like as seen on TV infomercials, right? And they're like creating this problem and really playing the problem up. If there isn't any type of judgment, if there's isn't any consequence, then why are we motivated in the first place? 1 like just for purely marketing, like. But on the other hand, I think that it's something our culture goes through in waves. Like we had like, the white field type, like sinners in the hands of an angry God. And then we went to this sort of Jesus movement. And then, you know, it's like, so we go back and forth. Right now a lot of young men are kind of gravitating back toward the Catholic Church because that requires something of them. It requires sacrifice. So when we're in a time where there's a lot of sacrifice and like, judgment and all of that, then grace seems, oh, so palatable. But then we move that way and we find out it's just empty. If it's, if it's just grace without any reason for grace. Any reason, though, like, if we're not, if we can't see our sin. I mean, most, the thing that I think gets, keeps most people from turning to the Lord is the fact that they don't look their sin in the face and they don't, they don't see, hey, I'm ugly without him, you know, when, when I have that blood of Jesus over me, I am not something I want to see every morning in the mirror. And if there isn't a reason to move and to do something different. So I, I, I think it's, it's a loaded question, but, I mean, there's wisdom in knowing when to speak. What. But I definitely think that the judgment, the fire and brimstone, there's a place for that. It's just in the appropriate measure, if that makes sense. Again, I just use that phrase and you just told me, hey, just commit to it. So back that up five seconds.
That's good. Anybody else have a thought on that?
We all got to be ortho bros from now on and. No, I like that, though. I did. That's a really good thought, though. Zach, you were saying? Because there is this trend going back to, like, Catholic, you know, orthodox Christianity and all that, but yeah, I think that's, I actually don't have any thoughts, but I think that's a good thought to contemplate. Where I was trying to think is, like, based off of salvation and then based off of, like, you know, day to day life, the grace that you need to, like, do the will of the Father, so to speak. And so it's like, I'm so far removed from grace for salvation that I was, like, just trying to figure out, like, what does that look like again? To like, really? Because, like, I'm so, like, bought into the idea that I need grace for salvation, that I'm Like, I'm such a wretch, sinner that I need that grace. So, like, what does that look like? I guess. Or how do you. How do you get an everyday person that just thinks he's a good person and just kind of living his life and doing his thing, that no, there's like, there's no way you can not get into heaven unless you go through this one way that. That requires grace.
Yeah. Oftentimes you might see a track that would, like, walk people down, like the Romans road to salvation. And included in that. Well, Romans 1 says, the wrath of God is being revealed. But Romans 3:23 says, all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Then Romans 6:23, of course, says, for the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Which I love that verse because even in just the world of sales or effective communication, it's so important where you put that. But right. Say, yeah, you know, this is going to be life changing for you. You tell them all the benefits, the benefits of the benefits, but it costs $10,000. It's like, okay, but if you tell them, yeah, it costs 10,000, $10,000. But then you tell them all the benefits and the benefits of the benefits. Just where you place that. But it changes the perspective of the person. So when it says for the wages of sin is death, it's like, oh, okay. And oftentimes when we evangelize, you know, even if you're just like, out on the streets, like knocking on doors or just street evangelism, when you get somebody to acknowledge that they're not perfect.
Right.
Period. Most people could acknowledge they're not perfect and you could kind of open the door to conversations like that. And then when you share with them things like this, okay, well, when you're not perfect, God's standard is perfection. When you fall short of that perfection, the. The wages of that, the penalty for that is death. And then it's like, oh, okay, well, I'm supposed to die because I'm not perfect. And then it's like you almost present and reveal Jesus to them as the.
Savior that he is.
It's like, yeah, you're not perfect. The. The penalty, the wages of our sin is death. However, God sent a savior where he doesn't expect us to walk sinless. This would not be the time to talk about walking blameless either. But we're not going to be sinless. However, God sent us a lifeline where it's like, all we have to do that. It's such a wild dichotomy where it's so much to put our faith into Jesus Christ, but it's such a little task, right? It's just such a simple requirement. It's like, all you have to do is believe in Jesus Christ, that He's the one who took that penalty for you. He's the one who not only died on the cross as the substitute, the propitiation for our sins, but then he defeated death by rising on the third day. And because when you talk to people on the street, you get. You could just ask them or anybody, a family member, whoever it is, hey, if you were to die today, where would you go and why, right? And 99 of the people will tell you they're gonna go to heaven. Because even people who don't believe in God, they'll be like, I'll be in heaven, right? That. It's like, well, okay, you tell me you're an atheist, but now you're going to heaven. They'll say they're going to heaven because they're good, right? And everybody in their own eyes, once in a while, you'll have somebody that'd be like, I don't know, I've done some bad things in my life. And that. That heart where at least they acknowledge they've done some bad things. But when you tell them that, it's like, okay, none of us are good. None of us are good. And because good means in God's eyes, he's at such a high standard. To be good is to be perfect.
Perfect.
And only Jesus is perfect. So he imputes his perfectness in us. When we simply believe we have a relationship with him, we surrender to Him. But it's important to. To talk about judgment. And no matter how you. You kind of word it, the. The strategy that you use, it's just important that we don't preach a cheap grace, right? Which is what the, The. The church preaches, right? I don't want to call out. Zach already called out one. One pastor who preaches cheap grace. And I don't think there's anything wrong with calling out pastors who do, because I don't think any of us are just doing it just so we could call them out. And we. We get attention or clicks or views because we're just calling out another Christian. I think it's important to more than call them out. Just speak to the people who are under the teaching of cheap grace. The term cheap grace kind of. Kind of comes from Dietrich Bonhoeffer. He wrote the book. The Cost of Discipleship, he said, the preaching of forgiveness without requiring repentance, baptism without church, discipline, communion without confession, grace without discipleship, grace without the cross, grace without Jesus Christ living and incarnate. So she Grace is grace that costs you nothing and demands nothing. A message of forgiveness without repentance, subversion of Christianity without surrender or obedience. And it's a presentation as Jesus as Savior. And we all are probably quick to preach a gospel and present Jesus as Savior, but not as Lord. So in contrast to cheap, grace is costly grace. Now, the Gospel costs Jesus everything, right? And it calls on us to give him everything in return. The gospel of Jesus is not cheap. It costs everything. Paul says in First Corinthians 6, you are not your own. You were bought with a price. So this grace isn't cheap. It comes at a price, but it's just a price of, of belief. It's a price of faith. We, we can't preach a comfort Christianity. We, we see Paul write in the New Testament of, of people who have itchy ears and teachers who are going to appease those itchy ears. And a lot of people are, a lot of churches, a lot of pastors, they're worried about how many people are, are sitting there in the audience, and they want to make sure that. I don't want to touch on that subject because it might disturb somebody.
Right.
You know, I don't want to talk about the gift of tongues. Some people come from very conservative backgrounds. The gifts of the spirit aren't very familiar to them. I don't want to talk about that. Well, whenever we decide to not just simply preach the truth of the gospel in its entirety, it's, we're conforming to those with itchy ears. With itchy ears. Even if we just omit certain things because we don't want to ruffle any feathers there in the audience and they want to make sure that I, I think that's sinful. I don't want to touch on that subject because it might disturb. And I think that's somebody, right? A charge against churches and leaders who do that. You just start, you omit certain things because you don't want to ruffle any feathers. So we're in a culture where sermons, they serve as entertainment, but if you don't walk out of church, convicted somehow, some way, the word of God convicts. I, I, I, you know, I don't want to talk about the gift of I, literally more and more tongues. Some people come from very conservative backgrounds. The gifts of the spirit aren't very familiar. I've just been noticing every time I open scripture and I'm sure it's happened but I'm just like conscious of it. Doesn't matter what I'm reading. I'm convicted. I'm convicted. Like it doesn't matter what it is and it doesn't matter if I had here to them I don't. I don't want to talk about that. At a. A rather blameless day. Well whenever we yesterday and maybe I haven't, you know committed too many sins this morning before I decide to not just simply preach the truth of the gospel. I got into the word of God. But no matter what it is, I'm convicted. And it's crazy because it's almost like the more upright and blameless that you walk and the more you in its entirety it's we're conforming to those with itchy ears are that spiritual virgin where you're not defiling yourself, you're not committing spiritual adultery on the Lord. The more blood with itchy ears. Even if we just blameless you are. It's almost like the conviction comes even more. It's like as soon as you commit yourself to a life of dependent repentance. Excuse me. And Roger said, you know that that constant omit certain things because we don't want repentance.
Right.
Being that that, that spiritual verb ruffle any feathers to be blameless. That Cause I think that's sinful repentance. When you're in that once you start repenting it's like it's infectious. And I think that's conviction comes quicker. You repent quicker and you're just sliding right back it under that, that, that. That lamp of righteousness. A charge against churches and leaders who do that you impure and blameless. And obviously every day with certain. You omit certain things. We walk this earth. We are to be conforming more and more into the image of God. It's because you don't want to ruffle any feather. And the image of God isn't what he physically looks like. It's all that he is in his entirety. And who he is is, is. He's the Lamb. Remember, the Lamb is the word most frequently or is the name most frequently used in the book of Revelation. He's that lamb. So we're in a culture where I remember in the Old Testament when they would find a lamp to sermons they serve as entertain sacrifice to make atonement for their payment. But if you don't walk out of sins what they have to do they had to find a pure spotless land without a blemish and that's who chief church convicted. Somehow some way the word of God convicts Jesus is he's the fulfillment of of all those Old Testament sacrifices. He is the the Lamb. He is the the the Passover. Right So I I think there's much I I I I literally more mor we could learn from the the angel that's preaching the gospel to preach a gospel that includes Jud Again you may not have just been noticing every time I open scripture and I'm sure it's happened but I'm just like conscious of it walk in the the office of evangelists but we're all called to be evangelistic. We're all called to go it doesn't matter what I'm reading I'm convict to make disciples and I think it's just so important that we don't preach a cheap grace to anybody. And sometimes it's tempting to because you just want that person to to know the love of Jesus so bad the grace of Jesus So I'm convicted so bad that we we could like it it doesn't conform to that just all is goodness. All is goodness no matter what it is and it doesn't matter if I had but when all you preaches is goodness then whoever hears that message had a a rather blameless day going to take it as license to just keep sinning knowing that they're just always going to be forgiven. We'll move on from that but that was like the big takeaway for me from that that angel and again that little gazoo looking figure who's gonna be yesterday and maybe I haven't been zipping around the world preaching the gospel as I mentioned you know verse eight we're gonna talk about more committed too many sins this morning before I more and more about Babylon got into the word of God but no matter what it is and dive into that and just the the world system the the evil world system that we're currently a part of but just moving down a little bit when it talks about in verse verse 9 through 11 talks about the the wrath of God I'm convicted and the it's crazy because the and the indignation it's almost like the more upright and blameless of God right now. The the wrath of God is that you walk and the more you and the the wine of the wrath of God and this is like indicative and this is reflective of in Matthew 26 the idea behind the cup that Jesus wanted to Avoid right. That that cup of wrath or that spiritual virgin where you're not yourself. Jesus wants to avoid that that cup. You're not committing spiritual adult. Let this country on the Lord the more blood path.
Right.
But not my will. Your will be done. The the wine of wrath. That cup of wrath is like an undiluted wine mixed with spices to make it stronger and stronger and stronger. And God's heartless you are. It's almost like the conviction comes even more. It's like it is never for. For us to as soon as you commit yourself to a life of take that wrath. To experience that wrath. He doesn't want us to experience that wrath. Dependent repentance excuse. It's his will that we all come to repentance. That we never have to endure the wrath of God. But God wouldn't be God if he wasn't a just God. If there wasn't judgment, if there wasn't wrath, he wouldn't be just. He wouldn't. Me and Roger said be God. You know that that constant repentance.
Right.
Being that. So I could go a little deeper on that. But for the sake of time that that spiritual verdict I'm not going to. One thing I want to mention as we're. We're wrapping up here is verses 14 through 16. To be blameless that says then I looked and behold a white cloud. And on the cloud sat one like the Son. This is a reference to distant repentance. When you're in that once you start repenting. Daniel 7 where Daniel had this vision of one like the Son of man. So this is Jesus that he's seeing having. It's like it's infectious. On his head a golden crown represents power and authority. And in his hand a sharp sickle. Right again a picture of conviction comes quicker power. And another angel came out of the temple crying with a loud voice that sat on the cloud. Thrust your sickle, you repent quicker and you're just slide it right back and reap for the time has come for you it under that. That reap for the harvest of the earth is ripe. Okay now you see that the earth of the. The. The harvest of the earth is ripe here. And the word for ripe that that line is example of righteousness and pure and blameless. Which actually means overly ripe. It means to be dry or withered and obviously every day. And what's so. So impactful with that word right there? When. When God actually comes and we walk this earth, we are to be conformed in judges. When the wrath of God more and more into the image of God that's felt in the image of God isn't what he physically One of my granddaughters just woke up I bet her parents didn't realize she just came down right now it looks like it's all that. Yeah they're still asleep. I didn't see Daddy. No. You want to say hi real quick?
Yeah.
Okay. This is my oldest granddaughter. Granddaughter number one. This is Lala that he is in his entirety and who he is is is. He's the lamp remember the land can you go upstairs and five minutes I'll coffee I'll make you breakfast.
Okay.
Is the word most frequently okay let me you can hear those beads that she has in here. You can hear coming mile away or is the name most frequently used so anyhow the earth is in the book of Revelation he's that lamb and remember in the Old Testament overly ripe when they would find a lamp to it's so ripe when something is ripe and then you just let it go a couple more days now what happens it becomes wither sacrifice to make atonement for the now it's not so ripe anymore. So this word is listen God is going to come sins what they have to do. They have to find a pure spotless land with a back and pronounce his judgment upon the without a blemish. And that's who Jesus world But the fact that he doesn't do it until the world is overly ripe it's like I've given you chance after chance time after Jesus is He's the fulfillment of all those Old Testament sacrifices. He is the the lamb time I've done everything I could do under my power and authority to know he is that wake you up and turn to me to the point where you're. You're withered God is so long suffering and so patient with us and just that one word there like circle that word in verse 15 ripe the the Passover.
Right.
So I I think there's much that it's withered It's. We can learn from the overly ripe God is so patient with us. It's so remarkable. It just expresses his goodness and his mercy and his power and his love. His unconditional love for us as humanity not just because we said yes to him but his love for all of humanity that it's not until it's like okay the the earth's harvest the angel that's preaching the gospel to preach it's like it's to the point a gospel that includes judgment where that they're almost to the point where God is perfect. He can't wait too long. But it's almost like if I wait any longer it'll just be be too long to wait.
Right?
It'll almost be a mistake if I don't come now be be a mistake. God waits until again you may not where gives us every last chance every last opportunity to walk in the the office of evangelists to say yes to him. And that's the picture of the this word ripe. I just want to leave you guys with this and if every anybody has any comments you can unmute I can stay on a few more minutes but we're all called to be in second Peter chapter three verses three through nine Angelistic we're all called to go. It says knowing this first that scoffers will come in the land make disciples. And I think it's just so impressed days walking in court according to their own lust and saying where is the promise of his coming? For since the fathers fell asleep all things continue as they were from the beginning of corn that we don't preach a cheap grace to anybody in some creation they're saying listen yeah I've been hearing this message that that Jesus is coming bentimes it's tempting to because you just want that person back and where is he? You know where is he? And now we're 2,000 years later where is he? I've been hearing this message and it's you know that to know the love of the the fathers of the church they they've fallen asleep they've come and gone and Jesus still hasn't returned. Jesus so bad the grace of Jesus so bad that we we could conform to that just all is goodness. All is goodness. But when all you preaches is goodness then whoever hears that message verse 5 for this is going to take it as license to just keep this they willfully forget that by the word of God the heavens were of old and the earth standing out of water and sin and knowing that they're just always going to be forgiven we'll move on from that. But that was like the big takeaway in the water by which the world that then existed perished being flooded with water but the heavens and earthly for me from that that angel and again that little which are now preserved by the same word a gazoo looking figure who's going to be zipping around the world preaching the gospel. As I mentioned verse 8 we're going to talk about more more and more about Babylon reserve for fire until the day of Judgment and perdition of ungodly men. But beloved do not forget and dive into that get this one thing that the Lord and just the the world system the the evil world system that we're currently a part of but just moving down one day is as that with the Lord one day is as a down a little bit when it talks about in verse verse thousand years and a thousand years as one day the lord is not 9 through 11 talks about the the wrath of God and the indignation of God right black concerning his promise as some count slack now the the wrath of God right. He's not slack concerning his promises what he had is and the the wine of the wrath of God and this is like indicative and this is reflective of in Matthew 26 the idea behind the cup that Jesus wanted to avoid his promise will absolutely come to pass. What we're reading in Revelation is right that that cup of wrath is not Jesus wants to avoid that that cup let this cup path right but not my will your has not come to pass yet. But it will the Lord is not slack will be done the the wine of wrath that cup of wrath but is long suffering is like an undering toward us not willing that looted wine mixed with spices to make it stronger and stronger and stronger. And God's heart is never for for any should perish but that all us to all should come to repentance. So this picture of God where you know it take that wrath to experience that wrath. He doesn't want us to experience that wrath. It's his will that we all come to repentance that we never have to endure the wrath of God. But God wouldn't be God if he wasn't a just God. If the Rapture happened today it's like I would love to be a part if there wasn't judgment if there wasn't the Rapture, right. But I have family members who aren't saved he wouldn't be just he wouldn't be God. So I could go a little so if the Rapture happens today we're to await the Lord deeper on that but for the sake of time I'm not going to one thing I was return with the Rapture. I want to mention as we're we're wrapping today it's like oh my gosh. And up here is verses 14 through 16 as much as I want the Rapture to happen today and be a part of it it makes me say I got says then I looked and behold a white cloud. And on the cloud sat one like the side to go help Son of man. This is a reference to Daniel 7 where Daniel had this vision do my part. Do everything of one. Like the Son of Man. So this thing I could do to lead my family's Jesus that he's seeing having on his head a golden crown represents power and authority. Members my loved ones to salvation. And in his hand a sharp sickle. Right again a picture of power. And another angel. Can I have to do it? There's an urgency. We're to walk with urgency. We're to be ready at all times. Came out of the temple crying with a loud voice. And part of us being ready is that on the cloud thrust your sickle and reap. For the time has come for you to reap. For the harvest of the earth is ripe. He's doing our part to make sure that those around us are ready as well. Making sure first our households are ready. Okay. Now you see that the earth of the. The. The harvest of the earth is ripe. Here our loved ones are redder. And the word for ripe is X orino which actually means the church is ready. Overly ripe.
Right.
That you and I collectively we could come together and make sure it means to be dry or withered. And what's so. So impactful. We hold each other accountable. That we're ready, that we're welcome. Blameless. But that word right there.
When.
When God actually comes in, when the Lord returns. Do we want to have shame at his coming? And judges when the wrath of God is felt. One of my granddaughters like it says that some will have just woke up and I bet her parents didn't realize. John says in first John. She just came down right now. Yeah, they're still asleep. Imagine nobody knows what that I didn't see actually looks like if the rapture happened this moment. We. We. Little Daddy. No. You want to say hi real quick?
Yeah.
Okay. This is my oldest granddaughter. Granddaughter number one. This is Lala. Really transformed to our glorified bodies in the twinkling of an eye. It'll happen. Can you go upstairs and. Five minutes like that. But off you. I'll make you breakfast.
Okay.
There's going to be shame for some people. Okay. Let me. Who are in a place where. Yes, you're saved. Yes. You're going to go up. But you're. You can hear those beads that she has in here. You're not in a place where you're walking. You can hear coming mile away. Blameless. I don't want to have that shame. So anyhow, the earth is even if it's for the the most minute millisecond there is overly ripe it it's so ripe when something is ripe and I don't want to have that shame and you just let it go a couple more days. But it says that the now what happens it becomes withered now it's not so ripe anymore. So this word is earlier the the works of those who are listen God is going to come are called and redeemed back and pronounces judgment upon them says their worst follow them to heaven.
Right.
And we could talk a little bit more about about hell because world but the fact that he doesn't do it until the world is overly ripe. It's like I've given you chance after chance time after I mean this is a clear picture of hell how at the time I've done everything I could do under my power and authority to wake you up and turn to me to the point where you're you're withered last forever and ever. And how long is forever and ever in the Greek God is so long suffering and so patient with us. And just that one word there like circle that it's literally ages unto ages word in verse 15 right. And forever and ever that it's withered. It's overly ripe God is so patient with us. It's so remarkable last as long it just expresses his goodness and his God is alive because it says that his mercy and his power and his love his unconditional love. God will live forever and ever and for us as humanity not the next chapter. So as long as just because we said yes to him but his love God is alive. That's how long ago all of humanity that it's not until it's like okay the the earth's harvest who don't make it it's like it's to the point heaven those who will be in this concept where that they're the torment of hell. That's how long they almost to the point where God is perfect. He can't wait too long. But it's also be there like if I wait any longer it'll just be too long to wait. That's heartbreaking right?
Right.
Almost be a mistake if I don't come now be be a mistake but we see stuff around us. We see God waits until devastation we we see heartbreak heartache. But there's nothing where gives us every last chance every last opportunity to say yes to Him. And that that's the picture of the this word ripe. I just want to leave you guys with this. I think it's heartbreaking to know that and then if every anybody has any comments, you can those who don't confess on mute. I can stay on a few more minutes. In second Peter, chapter three, Jesus is Lord right now who don't drop to a knee now Verses three through nine it says knowing this first that scoffers will come in the last days walking in court according to their own lust and saying where is the promise of his coming? For willful since the fathers fell asleep all things they're going to be able to continue as they were from the beginning of place where they're forced to when a creation they're saying listen yeah have that realization from a place I've been hearing this message that that Jesus is coming back and where is he? You know, where is he? And now we're 2,000 years later. Where is he? I've been hearing this message and it's that we don't want to be that Jesus is Lord, he's real. It's you know that everything that he's been saying throughout scripture his message. The the fathers of the church, they they've fallen asleep. They've come and gone and Jesus still hasn't returned. Verse 5 For this they willfully forget that by the word of God the heavens were of old and the earth standing out of water and is an everlasting gospel. It was the same yesterday as it is today as it will be if the Lord tarries for another in the water by which the world a thousand years it's the same gospel that then existed perished being flooded with water. But the heavens and earth which are now preserved by the same word are reserved for fire until the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men. But beloved, do not need to preach it with love. Get this one thing that the Lord with grace but heard one day is as that in truth and oftentimes in truth is going to ruffle some feathers with the Lord. One day is as a thousand years and a thousand years as one day. The Lord is not slack concerning his promise. But God doesn't call us as some count slackness, right? He's not slack concerning his promises. What he's to continue to tickle people's itchy ears. We're called to speak in truth. God has promised will absolutely come to pass. What we're reading in Revelation is not has not come to pass yet. But God will give us the boldness. God will will. The Lord is not slack but is long suffering toward us not willing to give Us the the power of the Holy Spirit to preach a truthful gospel and any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. So this picture of God where, you know, if the Rapture happened to. When we talk about Babylon in the next day, it's like, I would love to be a part of the Rapture.
Right.
Couple weeks and this one world system, one of the. But I have family members who aren't saved. The reasons we're getting close. So if the Rapture happens today, we're. We're to await the Lord's return. But if the Rapture happened today, it's like, oh my gosh. As much as I want the Rapture to happen today, closer and closer to this one world system and be a part of it, it makes me say I got. And it doesn't seem like I had to go help. Such a far fetched thing is do my part, do everything. Because of this whole concept of I can do to lead my family members, my loved ones to salvation. I have to do it. There's an urgency. We're to walk with urgency. We're to be ready at all times of relativism. Relativism. Part of us being ready where truth is relatives. Doing our part to make sure that those around us are ready as well. Making sure where now people are okay with saying, well, you believe your truth, I believe mine first. Our households are ready, our loved ones are ready, the church is ready.
Right.
That. Well, all of that. You and I collectively, we could come together and make sure we'll pave the way for one world, each other accountable, that we're ready world system because people have their own truths that we're welcome. Blameless. When the Lord returns, do we want to have shame at his coming like it says that some will have? John says in first John, if truth isn't the standard you imagine, nobody knows what that actually looks like. If the Rapture happened and there's multiple truth and everything is relative, then we're susceptible to everything that in this moment we, we literally transform to our glorified bodies in the twinkling of an eye. It'll happen like that. But there's going to be shame for some people who are in a place where, yes, you're saved, yes, you're going to go up, but you're, you're not in a place where you're walking. You see in scripture that that is going to happen. So with that said, yeah, no such thing as your truth. Blameless. I don't want to have that shame. Even if it's for the. The most minute millisecond there is. I don't want to have that shame. But it says that the earlier the. The works of those who are are called and redeemed My truth. There's only one truth and God's given it to us. He's given us the power, authority and influence. Says their works follow them to heaven.
Right.
And we could talk a little bit more about. About hell. Because I mean this is a clear picture of hell. How it to preach it. And guess what? There's nothing for us to fear. Lasts forever and ever. And how long is forever and ever in the Greek? Remember when Jesus sent out the. It's literally ages unto ages. The 70 to preach they came back. And forever and ever lasts as long as God is alive. Because it says that God will live forever and ever in the next chapter. So as long as they're like, oh my God, we got powered authority over demons even, right? You have more power than you realize. God is alive. That's how long those who don't make it to heaven, those who will be in this constant torment of hell, that's how long the greater is he who is in all of us will be there. That's heartbreaking, right? But we see stuff around us. We see devastation. We. We see heart by way of the Holy Spirit. Then he was in the heartbreak heartache. But there's nothing that's heartbreaking to know that that world. So God's given to us. I those who don't confess Jesus as Lord right now, who don't I hear a lot of still drop to a knee now willfully they're going to be in a place where they're forced to when they walking around. So I have that realization from a place I am going to that we don't want to be. That I'm going to end this right now. Because Jesus his Lord, he's real. Everything that he's been saying. My little grandbaby. Some breakfast Saying throughout scripture his message. Okay, I love you guys. We'll. We'll pick this up next week. Bless you guys. An everlasting gospel. It was the same yesterday as it is today as it will be if the Lord tarries for another thousand years. It's the same gospel. We need to preach it with love, guys. If you need anything throughout the week with grace. But in truth, and oftentimes in truth is going to ruffle some feathers. But God doesn't call us. Give me a holler. Have a blessed one.
See y' all next week.
Thanks, Chris. To continue to tickle people's itchy ears, we're called to speak in truth. God will give us the boldness. God will. You got see it. Give us the, the power of the Holy Spirit to preach a truthful gospel. And when we talk about Babylon in the next couple weeks and this one world system, one of the reasons we're getting close, closer and closer to this one world system, and it doesn't seem like such a far fetched thing, is because of this whole concept of, of relativism. Relativism where truth is relative, where now people are okay with saying, well, you believe your truth, I'll believe mine. Well, all of that.
