A short YouTube monologue by Rylee Meek explaining a traditional Christian message: sin carries death as its wage, but God is merciful. The speaker affirms that Jesus bore God’s wrath on the cross, rose after three days, and that individuals can be saved by confessing belief in Jesus as Lord and Savior. The tone is pastoral and evangelical.

The, the wages of sin is death. God. If you don't like the, the rule book, if you want to call the Bible the rule book, God is God. He could have done this any which way he wanted to. But he didn't just make it. Hey, every time we sin, we're taken out because many of us wouldn't make it past the first few breaths in the morning, quite frankly. But he's a merciful God. He's a merciful God. And no matter what you've done in your past, no matter how much shame you feel like you have in your life right now, Jesus died on the cross and he bore the wrath of God. He took the penalty and he defeated death. He rose three days later. And when the enemy thought he had the upper hand three days later, Jesus rose from the grave. And it's simple. All we have to do is confess to believe in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior.
