Two speakers argue time is more valuable than money because you can't get it back. They point out how social media steals hours without you noticing, sharing a story about accidentally scrolling for 20-30 minutes before bed. The takeaway: be intentional about where your time goes.
The true investment that we have is time. Money at the end of the day is a replenishable source. Time is not. And I think it is our most valuable asset that any of us have. And so when it comes to stewardship of time, first and foremost, it should be first and foremost above anything else that we go to do to go make money.
Yeah, I mean, just the idea of stewarding your time well, it's another thing. How much time are we wasting? And with all the technology we have nowadays with social media, I— anybody with a social media account, you're wasting time throughout the day. Yeah, 100%.
I catch myself at night sometimes where I'm like, I'm so exhausted, and then all of a sudden I'm scrolling and it's like, dude, 20, 30 minutes passes and I'm like, what am I doing? Right? Put this stupid thing down.
Yeah, yeah. Sometimes it sounds weird to just fast from social media or fast from things like that. Technology, electronics, but you really need to do it. Yeah, you need to do it from time to time. And every time you normally open up that, that social media app, Instagram, whatever it may be, open your Bible app. Yeah, you're— if do it for a day, your day will be so much different.
