This is a YouTube video titled "Why Organisations Resist Change: Familiarity vs Innovation" containing a monologue by Romano Rabie recorded in May 2025. Romano discusses the challenges organizations face when implementing new software, emphasizing resistance due to familiarity with existing tools like Excel and the importance of early onboarding and training to ease transitions in enterprise environments.
The restrained forces are going to be everyone that does not agree with it or everyone that's like, but we used Excel for the last 10 years. Why do we need to change? We know how it works. Like, it's not perfect, but blah, blah. And then it always needs to be like, this effort of, like, not when the software is implemented now we want to change people's habits or eight weeks before. Hayley is a piece of training of how you're going to go and thing that you've been doing for five years. It's like, all the way through. We signed, like, you. You've agreed what supplier you're going to join. Now there's going to be an onboarding process, but your work has started six months of like, way before that. So that by the time it goes live, especially if it's like an enterprise use software, you're not waiting for people to, like, catch on or go, but what about Excel or what about it? It's changed. Everyone's using it. But all understand, we've ironed out kind of where the issues are. We've ironed out. We know for a fact that if it's a big organization, not everyone's going to agree with us or see the value straight away.
