207: Human Design - Exploring How You Were Meant To Operate with Erin Claire
16 Jul 2019 · 64 min
Erin Claire explains Human Design, a system that categorizes people into four types: Manifestor, Projector, Generator, and Reflector. Each type has a different way of making decisions and operating in the world. Sahara Rose connects it to Ayurveda and explores how knowing your type helps you work with your natural energy instead of against it.
Namaste. It's Sahara Rose. And welcome back to the Highest Self podcast, a place where we discuss what makes you your soul's highest evolvement. Is it just me or are we going through massive transformations right now? Actually, I know it's not just me because I just posted a little IGTV video on my Instagram amsaharose talking about energetically, what's going on between the eclipses and Mercury retrograde and just this overall feeling right now that we're in the middle of vata season, which is the air energy where we're up in the air and we're doing new things and we don't really know what to focus our attention on. We're really overwhelmed and everything's really chaotic and we feel ungrounded even even though it's pitta season, which is the fire season, which in in Ayurveda, typically it's always in the summer and that's the time of intensity, of sharpness, of heat. But I am feeling energetically a lot of vata even though it's pitta season, not just in myself, but in everyone I see. I mean breakups are happening left and right. I'm seeing people with businesses that are collapsing, projects that were supposed to happen, collapsing collaborations, not working personal. I have been in the process since coming back from my honeymoon last month that we placed an offer on a condos and 99% sure going to work out. And then a couple days ago, miraculously there was someone before us and basically it didn't end up working out and we've just been bouncing around random Airbnbs and hotels ever since because we don't know when we're going to find a place or not. So it's been a very ungrounding time for me too, but also a time of massive transformation. So this episode really comes at a timely moment, as they always do. I. I always channel which episodes need to come out and and I was feeling that this episode was a mid June episode and boy is it a mid June episode because it allows us to connect with our true selves and that's what human design is. So if you're not familiar with human design, I'm sure you may have heard the buzzword before. Some people have it. It is similar to astrology in the way that it's based off of your birthday, birth time, birthplace. So it's archetypes that are based off of your birth information. However, it has nothing to do with the planets. You don't have a rising and north node and all of that stuff. There are four main archetypes which human design expert Erin Claire is going to talk to us today. And they are Manifestor, which is the rarest, I think about 8% projector, which is about 20%, generator, which is about 70% percent. And I'm talking about the population, and then Reflector, which is about 1%. So we, all of us are one of these archetypes. It's not like the doshas that you're all three doshas, but in varying amounts. In Human design, you are one archetype. However, in the archetype, there are so many different layers from how your emotional centers are set up and how you perceive things. There's even a part called personal health system, which is a more advanced part of human design, which is based off of how you digest food and how you eat. So I learned about human human design years ago back in Bali, and I was very fascinated by it because I felt totally understood with the archetype of the projector. And projectors are people who. They're. It's very vata like. And we talk about the parallels between the doshas and human design in this episode, but it's very vata like in the way that they are able to project to see, the higher vision. They have that higher perspective, that bird's eye view. So they're the people who are coming up with ideas and creative solutions and seeing visions, and maybe they're channeling and, you know, they're really creative. Their minds are always, always working. However, their bodies are not at that same level of capacity, and their bodies often suffer from overwhelm, overwork, fatigue, adrenal fatigue, all of these related issues, because your mind is going a million miles an hour, but your body can't keep up with it. So I myself have definitely experienced burnout different times of my life. Maybe I'm in it right now with this house hunting, but. But because our minds are like, I.
Want to do this, I want to do that.
But our bodies are not meant to. So projectors are actually meant to support and, say, the vision and have people, a team around them, probably generators, because they are the people who have a lot, a lot, a lot of energy, but sometimes they need guidance on where to direct that energy. So it creates this beautiful system of how we can relate on each other. And I like to kind of consider it your optimal way of operating, especially in career, in the workplace, because human design was really founded in the 1980s. So it is a newer system, but it's based off of astrology the I Ching, all of these ancient systems, but it was made for how we can operate in today's society. So Aaron's going to go through this in, in more in depth, but I do think that it's super powerful if you're someone into Ayurveda, astrology, et cetera, to dive into human design, because you may be a manifester and have no idea and not be operating like one. And a manifester are people who have a lot of ideas and then they do the ideas. So it's like they have something go, but they really need to take a step back. The projector are the ones who should not be overworking themselves because they have the tendency to. And they need just direct generators are the ones who have tons of energy. They need to do something they love and exhaust themselves doing that thing that they love. But sometimes, you know, Aaron talks about how if you're on a date with a generator, instead of being like, what do you want to eat today? You should ask them, do you want Italian food or Indian food? Giving them options. So she gives so many valuable gems of wisdom that I really, really think all of us can benefit from. And I know you're going to love this episode, especially our conversation comparing the doshas, the human design archetypes. Welcome, Erin, to the Highest Self podcast. It's so good to have you here.
It's so good to be here.
So the first question I'd love to ask you is, what makes you your highest self?
For me, my highest self, like, comes through my decisions. You know, I think that we're all making decisions every day from, like, who to spend time with and where to eat and what opportunities to say yes to. And so I think my highest self emerges when I sort of am choosing from a place of courage and clarity and in a way that's actually very aligned with my human design.
I love that, and I really feel like that's what human design is for. It's for teaching you how to operate, to be your highest self. So I would love to know how you personally got into human design, because it's really big right now, but you got into it kind of before it was, like, almost mainstream.
Yes. So I met somebody about four years ago, four and a half years ago, and I met somebody at a party, and he started looking at my human design, and it was so funny. I just kept running into this person, and he just introduced some elements to me immediately that just, like, work totally shifted the way that I operated. And so, like, I was very intrigued. And so, like, honestly, the minute I was introduced to it, it was like, I didn't really look back. But like you said, like, you know, when I was studying it, and it's a lifelong study, but, like, when I first began studying it, like, no one knew anything. You know, I was in, like, only when I was, like, in Bali or Kauai or these very mystical places that people have any idea what I was talking about. So it's very wild to be in New York City and hear people talking about it on the street, because it feels like we've definitely reached a new level of awareness. That's very exciting.
So true. So for people who don't know what human design is, can you explain it to us?
Of course. So human design basically gives us access to information about ourselves that we can't really access anywhere else. So it's really about our energetics and how we're each uniquely wired to operate and so specifically, how we best make decisions, cultivate relationships, communicate, create opportunities, all of that. And it's based on your exact time, date, and Place of birth.
Okay, so is it like astrology?
It is not like astrology. And astrology does play one small role. But the idea behind human design is that it actually brings together a lot of different systems into one. So astrology, the I Ching, the Kabbalah, the chakra system, quantum physics, genetics, biochemistry, like all into this one master system. And so, yes, astrology does play one small piece, but it definitely is a very different. It shares very different information than astrology does.
Cool. And it's something that people can just look up online.
Yes, absolutely. So you can look up your human design online, but you're probably going to need somebody or some resource to help you interpret it because it's a crazy looking chart. And so you need a little help in the analysis often.
Totally. Well, luckily we have one talking to us right now. So can you explain to us the 4/ kind of 5 with the manifesting generator archetypes in human design?
Absolutely. So human design, there are like 2 billion different configurations. So like you're not going to meet somebody who has your exact same design. But at the highest level there are five different types. And so the first one is a manifesting generator. And there's also classic generator. So these are kind of fit into two, but they really are very similar. So manifesting generators are basically the people that like really have like the energy and the life force to kind of like build and create and do things and bring things to life. And they tend to move very quickly. Often like their career doesn't look very linear. They tend to be doing a lot of different things at once. And that's actually very healthy for them as long as they're feeling like incredibly energized by the things that they're doing. And again, like sometimes they might skip some steps along the way because they like see where things are going. So it's actually helpful to surround themselves by people that are a little bit like more methodical and step by step. And the most important thing for these people is that like they're just again, deeply energized and lit up by what they're working on. It's kind of like they wake up each morning with like a motor or a battery and their job is to like, use that energy in super satisfying ways and then like go to bed and wake up, recharge. And that's when they're kind of at their potential. And the most important thing for them, and this is true for classic generators too, is that instead of like going out and they're like initiating every idea that comes from their head. It's really about, like, allowing themselves to have a real, like, gut response. And once they, like really get that response, then like, that's the indicator they actually have the energy to move forward with it.
Okay, got it. So generators, overall, they're the ones with the energy and it's 70% of the population, right?
Exactly, yeah.
So with the man, can you tell us a little bit the difference of the generator and the manifesting generator?
Absolutely. So the generator, again, it's a similar thing where, like, the most important thing is that, like, they're doing work that's deeply satisfying to them. But to them, like, for them, it's often more of like a step by step process. Like they're not moving quite as quick as the manifesting generator. And the manifesting generator might be focusing on a lot more things at once in the classic generator, but they have a similar strategy, which is again, like, allowing life to come to them and like, simulate a response before they jump in. And so, like, often when they work a lot with teams, it's like making sure they have a real balance. Like, I've worked with teams that have like all manifesting generators and it's like a little bit of chaos. So it's like you definitely need a balance with the people around you.
So are they kind of a cross between the manifestor and the generator, or is it just called that because. For its own reasons, yes, they.
I mean, they are. They have manifesting capacity, but at like, its essence, they are a generator because it really is about allowing life to come to them. But basically, as soon as they get that response, they have the ability to manifest very quickly. Like their gift is bringing things to life incredibly efficiently and incredibly quickly. Quickly. So they just have manifesting capacity, but they are not a manifester and they're very different than a manifestor.
Got it. Yeah, I've. I put on my Instagram, I always put questions for the guests and people are saying that so many people are manifesting generators. And I've heard that before there were like more generators being born, and now for some reason we don't need as many generators. So now more manifesting generators are being born. Have you heard of this too?
Generally what I've heard is that there are actually fewer manifestors being born.
Yeah, less manifestors, more manifesting generators.
Yeah, and also more projectors, actually. Because, like, the thing with manifestors is that, like, their gift is really having impact and they're able to have a lot more impact with a lot fewer of them. Now like they used to, like when you used to be a lot of manifestors and like, projectors are kind of the new leaders. And so a lot more projectors are coming to the world.
Okay, so can you share with us about projectors, which is 20% of the population?
20% of the population, absolutely. So, you know, one thing to keep in mind is that because 70% of the population are generators, it basically means that we are all trying to operate like generators because, like, and that's again, like the energy force to kind of like build and create and do things. And the truth is that, like, projectors really aren't meant to move at that pace. And so projectors really tend to be better suited to be, like, leaders and guides, like, often teachers. And for them, like, their energy is a lot more inconsistent. I talk about the generators waking up each morning with a motor, and again, their job is to use that energy in super satisfying ways. For projectors, it's very different. For projectors, it's basically like, for them, it's about working in spurts, taking a lot of time to rest and not pushing themselves to work super long hours every day. The founder of human design always joked that projectors aren't really designed to do that much work. So for us, it's actually good to again, spend a couple hours, three to four hours a day, working very hard and then spending the rest of our time honing our craft. And these people tend to be very sensitive to energy and their gift isn't really sensing, like, what is needed in an environment and kind of like the potential of the people around them and like, how to really sort of manage the generators around them.
And this is what I am, guys, believe it or not, I'm not supposed to be working this hard, but I have been taught to operate like a generator, which is interesting because I was telling you, both of my parents and my fiance are projectors. Everyone's a projector in my family except my brother, who's a reflector. So, like, I don't have any generators in my family, but for some reason I've, like, you know, adapt it to society and, like, get stuff done. But now this year, 2019, I'm really stepping into being a projector and trying to, you know, step into having more fun and doing less work while still having maximum impact. So how can projectors be successful in today's society when such a huge amount of dedication and time is required to be successful in your craft?
Because I think that, like, for projectors, like, the most important thing is, again, that they, like, create a lot of time for them to, like, hone their craft. And so the most important thing for projectors is that, like, rather than initiate their way into opportunities, that they really sort of wait for recognition and wait for invitation before they engage with something. Because often if they're brought into an environment and expected to, like, hustle like a generator, it's going to be incredibly challenging, and they're often not going to be very good at it. And so for, like, us, I'm a projector as well. It's really about, like, honing our craft, waiting to be invited. And, like, people will recognize that you offer, like, a value that no one else does. And, like, they don't expect the hustle or the generator piece to be part of it. And so, like, the work for projectors is, again, like, spending a lot of time, like, honing our craft, like, sort of cultivating the gift that, like, only we have, and then sort of making ourselves available for invitations where we feel kind of very recognized and how we can actually offer that gift.
I love that. And that super resonates with me. So can you give us an example of waiting for the invitation? Like, what would that look like in being an entrepreneur where it's like, you have to take initiative? How can we wait for the invitation more?
Totally. So I think, like, you know, for me, because I'm also, you know, building a company and, like, you know, there's. I, like, want to expand and grow, but, like, for me, instead of, like, initiating opportunities and, like, reaching out to certain people and being like, I want to do this or I want to work for you, like, it's really about. About, like, sharing what I'm doing more generally and just, like, making myself available for people to come to me. Because I find that, like, things flow so much better if I'm, like, actually invited into things and I feel recognized. And like, whenever I'm trying to seek recognition or, like, pushing myself too hard into an opportunity, there's a lot of resistance. And part of that is also, like, projectors have this very, like, penetrating and focused energy. And so, like, people have to be, like, really ready for you. They have to be, like, ready for what you have to share and what you have to offer. And so, like, you kind of need to wait for people already for you to actually, like, really engage with it and be successful.
I love that so much. And I want to share an example of I was doing an event at the Assemblage where you work, and you just found out and Ayurveda Has a lot of similarities, which we'll talk about. And you were like, let me do a free session with you. So I did the free session, and I was just dazzled that I'm like, I want you on my podcast. Whereas you could have taken the generator route that most people are taught to take, which is like, send an email and pitch yourself and da, da, da. But instead, you were like, I'm just going to show my gift shifts and see what happens.
And.
And it worked.
You know, it often does work, you know, but again, it's like, it's often, like, settling into a very different way of operating, you know, And I think that, like, when I think about a lot of the opportunities that have come to me in the past, like, it's never been through me, like, applying for a thing or, like, seeking out a thing. It's more been, like, meeting somebody, and they're like, I just want you. Like, I don't even understand, like, what you're gonna do or what it's gonna look like, but I just, like, need you to be part of this thing, you know? And so, like, for me, the work is being like, okay, do I feel, like, authentically recognized? Like, does this feel, like the right opportunity and then, like, moving from there? But, like, it's never been traditional for me. And I think the more I align with my design, like, the more opportunities like that emerge.
So for someone who's just, you know, building their business and trying to get out there more, but they're a projector, so they don't have those same energy levels, what can they do to support them?
I mean, one key thing, and I know this is totally not feasible for a lot of people, but, like, it is really helpful to have, like, support. You know, I have, like, honestly, just, like, being around generators gives me a lot of energy to kind of, like, work with and move with. And so I've always kind of had a generator partner with me supporting, and that's always been very crucial. But I know that's not always realistic at that early of a stage. But I would say, like, for the. At the early stages, like, really get clear on your craft and, like, really recognize yourself. Like, recognize what you uniquely bring to the table and, like, just start sharing about it in a way where it's not, like, full of expectations and, like, full of, like, I want to do this for you, but more just, like, I'm going to just, like, align with myself, and I'm going to start, like, making myself available for things, things that come to me and Just like playing with that dynamic. Again, like, it's. You're building a business and like, you're probably gonna have to reach out to people and do like, you know, some generating in that way. But, like, again, I think there's a way to do it that will bring in a lot more business and will feel a lot better to you.
I love that. And having people on your team that are generators or manifestors who have that drive to them is a really good idea. And I talk about this with the doshas and projector, I feel like, is very vata in in energy, which is the air and connected to the cosmos and channeling ideas and seeing the greater p or like the bird. Whereas the generator is a lot of pitta energy. It's like do hustle go. Which is how most of our world is, which is why we have a global pitta epidemic. So it's like knowing that you have a clear vision, but it's not up to you to, you know, because sometimes I see for me personally, I'm like, it's so clear, like what needs to be done that I'll just go do it.
I feel like it will be easier.
For me to just go do it than to try to explain my vision to other people. But then I end up burning myself out.
Exactly. You know, and again, like, we can push ourselves. Like, you know, every time I operate like a generator, which is like one of our biggest shadows as a projector, is like, I'll just totally burn out, you know, and so it's really about, like finding a way of operating that's a lot more sustainable. But yes, I love that. And I think also there's like, definitely some kapha in the projector piece too.
Yeah, I guess the sitting back and allowing yourself to relax.
For sure.
And also it's called splenic authority. So splenic authority is for all projectors, right?
No, just for you.
Oh, okay. Because in Chinese medicine, the spleen is worrying and anxiety and like that sort of thing. Okay, I thought all projectors had that. So can you talk a little bit? Well, I'll get back to this. I'm getting so ahead of myself with the projectors because I want to know everything for myself. We'll come back to the authorities. So can you share us about a manifesto now, which is about 8% of the population?
Yeah, exactly 8 or 9%. And so this is actually the only type that's really designed to initiate. And these people tend to be very independent. They're often thrive when they're kind of left alone to do what they please. They're not really here to be controlled or guided or told what to do. And again, they're really here to get the ball rolling. But not often do you do all the work themselves. And often for these people, it is also working in spurts. It's like they do have more consistent access to energy, but it's working very hard and then taking a lot of time to rest and then working very hard. And the most important thing for these people is all about communication. And it tends to be actually a little bit unnatural for them. But their strategy in human design is both to initiate but also to inform, which basically means to, like, before you do something, to, like, let people know what's going to happen before you do it, and, like, let them know what you decided. It's not about asking for permission. It's just, like, letting people know. And that tends to, like, allow them to manifest with, like, a lot less resistance and a lot more ease.
So ask for forgiveness, not permission. That's their motto.
Yes, exactly. You know, and like, but. And they also have like, a very, like, sort of close presence. So people might not always feel like, like they can get in. And so often they do have to kind of like, initiate relationships or initiate communication for people that actually feel like they can, like, get into their energy and be part of it.
So I'm sensing this is a pita energy also.
Totally.
And I'm also sensing it's very like, king or Queen archetype. 100%.
Like, these are the rulers, but.
Yeah, but also can be intimidating and scary.
Exactly. And it's a very different kind of leadership than the projector because, like, the manifesters, it's really about, again, like, sort of initiate their initiating their way into leadership and like, being the real ruler. And like, for projectors, it's like being invited into, like, a very different of role as a guide and as a leader.
So we just had on the podcast Mickey Agrawal, and I saw you did a session with her on her birthday, and she's someone that I would totally think is a manifester, but she's. But she's a projector. So can you explain? Like, I feel like. And I feel like a lot of people would think I'm a manifester, because I just take charge and initiate. So how are we sometimes acting like manifestors or different types when we're not?
I mean, honestly, like, whenever I do a talk, I'll ask, I'm like, okay, so how many of you think you're manifesters? And, like, you know, say it's like 200 people. Like, I would say, like, three quarters of them raised their hand because, like, a lot of us are just, like, taught to feel like we're here to initiate and we're here to manifest. And, like, you know, Mickey has done that for so long. But, like, honestly, hearing it was so fascinating having the session with her, too, because, like, I was also surprised when I found out she was a projector. But, like, then I was like, oh, this actually makes all the sense. And she's definitely finding her flow right now because, like, she's such an amazing leader. But again, it's like, kind of just like leading from the outside. Like, for her, she is, like, such a more now being a mom, like, having a much more balanced way of operating. And so. But she also has a very strong willpower in her design. So she does have this very strong will to kind of bring things to life. But again, it's balancing that willpower with also making sure that she's recognized before she engages with something.
Got it. Sometimes with the projector, you can step into periods of your life where you're just on the go, manifesting. But then now that she's stepped into this even higher role for herself, she's seeing that she operates even better as a projector.
Exactly. Because, like, human design is not, like, you cannot operate the other ways. Like, people can, like, try anything they want, but, like, often, like, the experience of operating in a way that's in alignment with your design is going to be, like, a lot more enjoyable. So, like, I think she's been operating as a manifesto her whole life, and I think she's stepping into, like, really operating as a projector. And it's so powerful to witness because.
I also have met some people who are manifesters, but they're definitely not taking initiative and manifesting their things. I see the opposite, too, 100%.
And there's actually a phrase for it in human design. Specifically, it's called, like, the collapsed manifester, which is basically, like, again, like, you know, we're operating a world of mostly generators. So, like, a lot of people, like, don't really feel permission to be themselves. I'm like, you know, if human design does anything, it's about giving ourselves all permission to be who we are. And so for manifestors, like, a lot of manifestors I've worked with have never felt the, like, permission to, like, initiate or be, like, a real force or have, like, the impact that they're meant to. And, like, instead, they kind of like, settle back into, like, asking for permission and, like, allowing things to come to them. And so often, like, it's very interesting because it's very common to see that. And so it's really, really about, like, deconditioning all of that and kind of, like, attempting to initiate and stepping into a new way of operating, because often where they are is not actually feeling that good.
So do you think that sometimes it could disempower people? Like, someone feels like they're on a roll, and then they find out that they're a projector or a reflector, which we'll talk about next, and they're like, oh, no, I should stop doing what I'm doing and sit back.
I think that, like, it's super rare. I do think that, like, there are a few people that I worked with that I felt, like, disappointed with their design. And I'm always like, so how does it, like, work? How does it feel to, like, operate? You know, like a manifest or, like, a generator? And they're like, well, it's not really working, but, like, I'm like, okay. You know, it's often, like, it just isn't feeling very good to operate like the other types. So I think that we have these ideas that we want it to look that way, but it's not really flowing for us. And so, like, I think that. I just think it takes time. Like, I don't think that it's ever felt disempowering, because I think that people just recognize it. They're things that they often see in themselves, even if they're, like, a little bit resistant at the first. And again, like, the projector pieces, like, it's not that they're meant. Not meant to, like, build big companies and build big businesses and do amazing work, but, like, they just, like, need the right support around them to do it. And, like, they're not the ones that are meant to be, like, at the center of it, hustling, but they're really meant to be, like, the guides and the leaders from the outside. And, like, for me, as a projector, like, I just know that is such a more natural position for me than, like, anything else.
Yes, I love that. And your soul chose to be born at that time for a reason. Because I know you were saying how if I was born in the afternoon, I would have been a generator, and I was born in the morning, which made me a projector. So it's like your soul makes that decision of how they want to. What tools they want to have.
Totally.
So love that. Now let's hop into the reflectors. Can you share about them?
Yeah. So reflectors are super rare. They're about 1% of the population. And reflectors are really, like you said, your brother. Yeah. So reflectors tend to, like, be real mirrors for the people around them. So they're kind of, if you look at a human design chart, they're, like, entirely open. And what that means is that, like, they're taking in and sampling different energy all the time and just, like, reflecting back to people, like, the state of things. And so, like, if you have reflectors, like, in your family or in a company or in a community, like, you really get a sense of the health of that place just by witnessing how that person is showing up. And, like, the most important thing for them is, like, being in places that feel really correct to them because, like, their identity is always shifting. Like, when you go over the course of a month, like, there are periods where they're operating more like a projector. There are periods where they're going to feel like a manifesting generator. There are periods when they feel like a manifester. And so for them, like, just like, you know, accepting the fact that their experience of life is, like, very different than most people and, like, not trying to hold on to a fixed way of doing things. And also, so key for reflectors is to, like, really take their time with things, like, with big decisions. They're really designed to, like, wait a full month until they sort of, like, really know deeply inside before they jump into something. Effy.
So reflectors really need to kind of be at the outskirts of society, right?
Well, it's actually very interesting. They're kind of, like, meant to be in the, like, the center of communities because they kind of, again, like, they are, like, taking in everything in that community and reflecting it back. And they tend to be very natural, like facilitators, but they kind of like, they can't be in communities for, like, a super long period of time. Like, they need to be in places when it still feels correct and then, like, as soon as it no longer feels good to them to, like, move on to the next one. Does that make sense?
Yeah. So. So they would make very good intuitives, therapists, because they're reflecting back what people are doing to them. But then don't they take on a lot of energy themselves? Like, super empathic thick they are.
But there's, like, an interesting thing with reflectors where, like, they're not taking it in quite as deeply. They're just kind of, like, sampling it all without, like, getting totally overwhelmed by it. But yeah, I mean, they're taking on, like, they. The shadow, you know, expression of being a reflector is like, being totally overwhelmed by, like, people's emotions and their fears and their anxieties and just, like, taking that stuff on as your own rather than just kind of like playing in the field and then like, moving on to another one.
So if you're a reflector, and let's say, because I have a friend, her name's Angie Lee, she's been on this podcast, she. She's like, go getter pitchy. And she's a reflector. I'm like, wait, what is happening? So for her or for someone like that, who they very much want to be a facilitator in community, how can they be careful not to get overwhelmed by everyone else's stuff?
The most important thing is their environment. And so, like, if they're in environments that feel good to them, like, they're going to take in good stuff, you know, like good emotional energy, like, you know, good intuition, all of that. But when they're in environments that feel unhealthy, unhealthy to them, they're going to take in all the wrong stuff. And so, like, the most important thing, and it sounds so weird, but, like, is that they really are just like, choosing locations that feels really. That feel correct to them. And that, like, goes from, like, you go to a restaurant and the table feels wrong, like switching tables, you know, or like, you go to a hotel and it feels wrong. Like, making sure you can find a room that really feels good to you. Like, making sure your home space, your workspace feels really good.
So should they be close to water?
Not necessarily. I think only if that, like, really feels right to them. They tend to be, like, mostly very connected to the moon. And so, like, actually what's healthy for them is to kind of like, pay a attention to the cycles of the moon and what's happening with what we call in human design, the transits and the planets, so they can just sort of see all the different ways they're kind of being impacted every day.
Okay, got it.

So can you share with us now about the authorities and how these organs and centers of our body have to do with how we correspond?
Absolutely. So in human design, everybody will have what we call an inner authority. And that's basically how we are each designed to make decisions. And the whole idea in human design is that like for so often we've all been like looking for things outside of ourselves, like to decide what to do, whether it's like teachers or guides or gurus or whatever it is. And human design is really about helping each person tap into their own inner authority. And like use that to make decisions in a consistent way that feels correct for them. And so, so the first authority I'll talk about is the emotional authority. And that's going to be if the right triangle in your chart, if you're looking at a chart. And so if you're emotionally colored in or defined, then that means you are an emotional authority. And that's about 50% of the population. And basically, and this includes me, for these people, you're not really designed to make decisions in the moment or impulsively. Like, for you, you really need to give yourself time to feel into things before you jump in. And so for these people, it's always healthy to sleep on things. Really, just buy yourself as much time as possible to really make sure it's correct for it can show up as, like, you know, you might feel, like, super excited one day, and then you wake up the next day and you're like, oh, I really don't want to do that anymore. So just like, giving yourself distance is very healthy because, like, these people are always riding these emotional waves of highs and lows and highs and lows. And again, the most important piece is that we're not making decisions on the highs or the lows of that way, but we basically, like, are waiting for all nervousness and apprehension to subside and to really just feel clear.
I love that. So that's for the emotional. And then what if it's. It is open?
If it's open in that area, that basically means that you are very empathic and you're always taking in other people's emotions and other people's feelings. And not only are you always taking in other people's emotions, but you're actually experiencing them in an amplified way. And so, like, say I'm, you know, my partner, my boyfriend is emotionally open. So, like, if I'm going through an emotional wave, like, he's going to take in my stuff and amplify it like crazy. And so, like, in moments like that, the healthiest thing is I'm like, I'm just gonna, like, be in my own little cocoon and kind of just like, be in the low of my wave and just, like, know that clarity is on the other side, rather trying to, like, explain it or make sense of it or him taking it personally or any of that.
So wise to know what your partner is too, to see how they're, like, dealing with your stuff.
Oh, my God. So helpful because, like, for us, you know, and I love doing partnership sessions, but, like, it's just given us, like, a language and a framework to understand what's happening when it is. So, like, again, it's not about, like, him taking it personally or thinking about. It's about him. But it's like, oh, I'm like, in this thing, I gotta just like, wait and be my by myself. And like, we both know that it's gonna be fine tomorrow.
Okay, so if people are looking at their chart, how can they tell if it's open or closed? It's the triangle thing and the diamond in the middle. Because I'm looking at mine and it's like lime green, so I'm not sure what that means.
Okay, so it's actually the emotional center. If you're looking at your chart, it's going to be the triangle facing inwards on the bottom right side.
Oh, got it.
Do you see that?
Yes.
And so if it's. You can see yours is white. If somebody's is open, it will just be white. And if it's defined, it will be colored in.
So I'm one of those empath crazy people.
Yeah. How does that. How does that.
Um, well, definitely if my partner is going through something, I can, like, sense it and I will, like, I need it to be okay. Otherwise I, like, can't. Can't move on with my life. Whereas he can, like, I wonder what his. His thing is. We're both projectors. But yeah, I definitely, like, if it's someone that I don't really know, like, I'm fine. But if it's someone close with me, I definitely feel. Feel it.
Yeah, absolutely. And like, the wisdom of this one is basically to be, like, very wise about other people's emotions and like, an ability to kind of move in and out of other people's emotional ways without being, like, totally overwhelmed or defined by them.
Love that. And can you share with us what the profile means and the numbers?
Yeah. So the profile is Basically, there are 12 different profiles in human design, and they basically, like, are around sort of how you're here to kind of like manifest your purpose. And so you are four, six. I'm a six, two. And again, there are a lot of other variations. Would you like to hear about what a 46 means?
Yeah, and I'd love to hear, because every time I meet someone now, I'm like, what's your human design? And then I look up their profile, I just, like, Google it. But I'm like, I keep seeing like, you're a martyr. Like, I don't know what that means.
Oh, yeah. I think what's amazing, honestly, what's happening with human design right now is there's like, a lot of amazing people coming out that are just making It a lot more accessible. And I think when I first started studying it, I'm like, this is a little bit nuts. Like, I think I just need to learn how to like, translate this so it can really be like simple and palatable for people. And so I just think that like the like, martyr, heretic, like that language can be a little bit intense. And so I think it's important to find ways that you know, that can be a little bit more accessible.
So I love that. And you're doing that really, really well. You're changing the words.
Yeah, I'm literally changing the words. Yeah, but. And I think that again, like, I also work with a lot of companies and they would be like, what the heck is this? And so like, I also have to make it like super simple in those cases. Okay, so let me tell you about the 4 6, and then we can go back to the effect. Priorities. Does that sound cool? So the 46 basically means that, you know, the 4 piece is that like, you really are here to like, kind of cultivate relationships and like, your opportunities are really designed to kind of come through your network and through your community. And so often like, the quality of your life is like, in direct proportion to like the quality of your relationships. And for you, it's really good to work with people, you know, rather than like to work with strangers. But again, like, as a projector, you also like, need a lot of time by yourself to kind of like unwind. But it is really healthy to kind of be out there every once in a while because. And like cultivate kind of your network because it. And that's sort of like where opportunities will really blossom for you.
For sure. Every opportunity has come through someone amazing.
Yes, exactly. And that's like, instead of like looking online and seeking things out, it's like, no, just like be with the people. Like, they will come that way. And then the sixth piece, and I carry this in my design too, is it's all about being a role model where like you really are here to kind of be a role model and kind of like embody sort of what it means to other for others to kind of be like an authentic individual and like really sort of connected to your own authority. And so the people that have this, so they tend to have like a three part life, which is like the first 30 years is like a lot of trial and error and just like figuring things out and like sort of learning as you go. And then like 30 to 50 is really a time of kind of like stepping back and kind of really being like a very objective observer. And then like the idea is like 50 and like you can play with ages however you like, but 50 is when you really kind of like sort of come off and like embody and really become the role model by just like embodying all the wisdom that you've learned.
I love that. And do these periods of life go for everyone or is that a specific number six thing?
That's specific to the number six.
Okay.
Yeah. And again, like, yeah, I think that when I first found this I was like, I want to be a role model now, you know, But I think the thing is that like with a role model piece, like people are always going to naturally trust you, like as an authority and kind of like look to you for guidance. But like it is really meant to be something that blossoms later in life.
Love that. So I'm still in the trial and error phase, still figuring it out. I love that. So can you share with us the different inner authorities?
Yes, absolutely. So we went over the emotional authority. The second one is what we call the sacral authority. So if you're looking at the chart, the that is the square, the bottom square. And if it's colored in, it'll be colored in, it'll be white. And so if it's colored in, it basically means that you're a generator. And if you have that one colored in, but the emotional center open, it means that your authority is all around your gut response. And what that means is you basically know like in the moment, whether or not something's correct for you based on how it's feeling in your gut. And it can be like an excited buzz in your stomach or like an uncomfortable knot. Like your body can literally be opening up towards something or like closing down. You can hear it in people's voices. They'll be like, uh huh, or like. And it can be really helpful. This is true of my is like it can be helpful to ask them very specific questions. So instead of being like, you know, where do you want to go? Or what do you want to do? Be like, do you want to go here? Do you want to eat this? Like, basically giving them things that they can like respond to in a more visceral way.
And that's all generators have this.
All generators will have this colored in, but there will be some generators that are emotional, which means that even though they have like a very alive gut response, they really need to take their time when they make decisions.
So all generators really just follow your gut and give generators options.
Exactly. And like be Specific, you know, like, give them things to respond to.
I love that. And then if they're more emotional, they're going to just need a little bit more time to feel it out. And if they're empathic, it's just going to depend on your mood, too.
Yeah. If it's empathic, they need to just, like, tune into their gut response and just check in. If they're, like, taking in someone else's emotions too much, I love that. And then one other piece is, if you have it open in your design, if it's white, it either means you're a projector, a manifesto, or reflector. And this is the center where you, like, are basically taking in other people's energy all the time. So you might go into a room and get, like, super buzzy and super excited and super energized, or you might go into a room and feel, like, super low. And so this is the area where projectors can tend to be, like, a little bit overzealous or, like, sometimes, like, take on too much. Like, not knowing enough is enough. Like, kind of push through their tiredness and kind of try to keep up with the people around them. So that's kind of like, the shadow of the center is, like, us working way too hard, whereas the wisdom is, like, really learning how to be, like, relaxed, doing the things we love, and, like, delegating and, like, learning to guide, guide, and lead.
It's so true. Like, I noticed that when I'm around, like, people, like a friend even, I get so excited, and I'm, like, talking so much. I, like, don't stop. And I'm like. I'm, like, putting out so much energy just, like, being around people. Then I leave, and I'm like, whoa, what was that? Which is why I need so much time on my own. But I'm, like, on such a high. I'm like a dog.
I know. There are, like, some days that I come home and I'm just, like, buzzing so much. My boyfriend's like, okay, what is going on? I'm just, like, still, like, on everyone else's energy, and I'm so excited, and it, like, really takes me a while to, like, unwind. And, like, the part of the wisdom of this one is actually, like, really knowing when to remove yourself from other people's energy. Because, like, I think that I used to when I was younger, before I learned about human design, I would like being groups. I get super excited. I'd be like, I have all the energy. Let's go. But I would, like Walk away. And I'd be like, oh, I'm actually exhausted. So it's like really knowing, like, when to be with others and again, when to kind of really remove ourselves and kind of be on our own.
Yeah. I had a friend over the other day, and we were talking the whole day, and then we were pulling cards, and I just took a moment to meditate and I was like, wow, my heart is, like, beating so fast right now.
I'm like.
And I, like, didn't even want to meditate because I want to open my eyes and start talking. And I was like, I need to learn how to just, like, be chill.
Oh, my God. That's amazing. I'm curious if they had a defined heart willpower, too. Yeah, it's amazing. It's so fun, you know when it's, like, really good energy, it's super buzzy. But again, it's like, it can be a little bit overwhelming, or we can, like, think we can do a little bit too much if we allow ourselves to be totally governed by that.
So can you share with us what the splenic authority?
Yeah, absolutely. So this is possible for manifestors or projectors, and the splenic authority basically is all around your intuition. And so intuition actually is very different than the gut response. Like I said, gut response is, like, visceral. It's in your body. Like, intuition tends to be a lot quieter. It's like a whisper or, like, tingles or feeling of, like, resonating with something or not. Or often, like, people might hear a voice or something like that. And often with the intuition, like, it only comes once. It's not like it's like, coming back and repeating itself over and over again. So, like, the work is to become quiet enough to really hear it and then just to, like, listen, listen to it when it comes. And again, like, both with the gut response and the intuition and with the emotional clarity is like, when you really listen to this authority, like, you don't always know where it's going to take you or why it's telling you to do what it's telling you to do. But the work is to kind of surrender to it and see what happens. So, yeah, the intuition tends to be, like, the quietest of them all. But again, it takes a lot of time to sort of listen in and hear it.
So if you're Splenic Authority, just quiet down, wait for that intuition to come through.
Exactly. And trust that when it comes.
Love that. And what are the other authorities?
So, and do you feel like, how do you Feel about that in your own life. Like, do you feel like that's something you listen to and you're tapped into?
Oh, 100%. I mean, cultivating my intuition is everything for me. And sometimes things don't even, like, make sense. But intuitively I feel like that's the direction I need to go in and I just do it. And I'm always supported, even if it's not at the beginning, but in the overall.
Absolutely. And again, like, it's. Human design has been such a lesson for me that, like, our bodies just, like, know things that we can't do. Totally conceive with our minds. So it's really just like in surrendering to that and really trusting that.
So is. Is the shadow side of splenic authority anxiety.
It's fear. It is like taking on being, like, very sensitive to other people's fears and kind of taking them on as your own. It's also sometimes, like, it can be very challenging to let go of things. So it can be like, really hard to kind of let go of relationships or jobs that are no longer good for you because, like, there's a sense of security that it provides, even if it's no longer healthy.
Totally. Yeah. I mean, I always want to see, like, the best in people. And sometimes we'll ignore things because I keep wanting to see the in them and think about it still. So that's definitely my spleen talking.
Totally. And you, because you have it defined in your design, you kind of bring the sense of, like, feel good to people. Like, being around you feels good and safe and secure. And so again, it's like the people that have it open to just pay attention to know that they're not holding on to people for too long because of that. And so some of the other authorities are. If you have a dying willpower, which is going to be that little triangle to the right, it'll be red if it's defined or white if it's not. And so for some people, like, it's all about making decisions through their willpower, power. And what that means is, like, so.
Where is this in the chart?
So if you look, it's that little triangle that's off center to the right.
Oh, got it. Yes.
You see it?
Yes.
And so it should be white in your design. And so the people that have this colored in it and are not the other authorities, it basically means that they're designed to make their decisions through their willpower. And so, like, whenever a decision comes up, to really ask themselves, like, do I really have the willpower to do this. Like, do I really have the fortitude to do this? Like, they're designed to be a little bit selfish in their decision making to like really ask like, what's in it for me? Like, am I really going to be benefit from this? And so, which is super interesting because I think a number of projectors that I worked with that have had this like, they tend to make decisions in a very different way of being like, let me make sure I take care of all the people. And I'm like, I'm not going to take care of myself. And so like, it definitely requires some like retraining to tap into that way, making decisions.
So if it's colored in, then you should be thinking about, do I have the willpower? Does this benefit me? And if it's open, then what should you be thinking?
If it's open, it's basically, and this is open to my design. And it's, you know, if there's like a hierarchy of the way that the open centers like affect us. This one's like at the very top of it. This one is all around self esteem and willpower. So if it's open, it basically means that these people might have like an inconsistent sense of self esteem where like some days you might feel like on top of the world and other days you might feel a little bit lower. And like, for us the most important thing is that we never get caught in a cycle of trying to prove ourselves or like try to prove our worth and try to like make promises or overcompensating or over committing to things. And so like this one is really about like sort of like developing a contentedness with your worth. And like, even if, if you're sort of vacillating like crazy, just making sure that you're like never doing something out of the desire to prove yourself.
That makes sense. Yeah, I have that one open like you and need to. I've always been like, if people don't care, that's fine. And tried to stick to my own inner. Inner approval.
Yes, exactly.
Okay. And are there any other authorities?
Yeah, there are a couple other ones. So if you have, if you have none of the ones we've looked at so far, but you have this diamond in the middle that'll be yellow if it's colored in, then that's what we call, that should just be for projectors. That's called a self projected authority. And basically what that means is that for you it's like very important to kind of what we call what we say in human design is to listen to what you say. So for these people it's actually very healthy to surround themselves by like just like trusted friends, trusted confidants and just like allow themselves to speak. And like when they give themselves to speak, like all of a sudden the truth will just like plop out of their mouth. And so like they just need to like create an environment where they're not spending so much mental energy trying to figure out what they're going to and they're just like kind of allowing it to come out more organically and like once they create that space, like they'll get a lot more clarity.
So this is all projectors have this?
Not all projectors have this, but like their only projectors will have this as a decision making authority. But you will only have this as a decision making authority if you don't have any of those other four ones I've gone through defined.
Because I have this yellow thing too.
Yes, exactly. And so for you, like, I know we talked about this in our session, but like you're really here to be like a creative role model and, and it's like all about your identity and like you're here to kind of like model what it means to be like a self expressed individual. And it's like a very natural kind of leadership quality. So I definitely see that in you.
Amazing. And are there any other authorities left?
Yeah, the last ones are for a mental projector and also for a reflector, which is like it's. These ones are all about your environment of again about just like making sure that you're in environments that feel very correct to you and just like creating environments where you can just like talk very freely and listen to the things you say and hear the things that come out of your mouth. For reflectors, specifically, like I said, in terms of making decisions, it's really healthy for them to give themselves actually a full moon cycle to really feel into a decision before they jump in. Because their perspective is likely going to change a lot over those 30 days.
Interesting. That's really good advice.
Yeah, it's so funny. I always imagine they'll be resistant to it because it's a super long time. But every reflector I've always said that to, they're just like, oh absolutely. I cannot jump into or reheard into anything. I need way more time than that.
That's really interesting. Yeah. Because I feel like I'm really quick to make decisions. I don't know if that's a projector thing, but I just can feel intuitively, yes or no. But I guess some people really need to sit with that.
And that's your spleen. That's the splenic. Authority is, like, you have the capacity to make decisions, like, in the moment when you're listening to your intuition. Like, for me, I have that intuition, like, colored into my design. But, like, even though I have those intuitive hits, like, I actually need a lot more time to sit with it, because before I jump in.
So. Good. And any final authorities?
No, those are all them.
Love that. And can you share what the triangle on top of our head is all about?
Yeah, absolutely. So that is the very top triangle is all around, like, ideas and inspiration. And so for the people that have this open, like, you, it basically means, like, you're taking in ideas and inspirations all the time, and it's, like, so amazing. But, like, it can be very challenging because sometimes there can be a tendency to, like, lose focus or to feel mentally scattered or, like, end up focusing your parental energy on things that, like, don't actually matter that much because you're kind of, like, absorbing other people's thoughts and other people's worries. And so, like, the wisdom of this one is basically, like, really being able to discern, like, what are the inspirations that are, like, really worthy of thinking about and acting on rather than try to, like, pursue all the things at once.
I love that. And if it's defined, if it's defined.
It basically means that you just, like, you still have this, like, mental pressure to, like, think and figure out things, but you're a little bit less vulnerable to the people around you. You're not kind of taking in everybody else's thoughts. You're kind of just in your own mental process.
So interesting because I talk about this podcast. I'm on an advice detox that started.
Last year, and I don't ask for.
Anyone'S advice on anything. I straight up went wedding dress shopping by myself. Just picked the dress, like, because other people's advice, it just gets in my head, and then I lose sight of what I really want, and it always just screws with me, and I don't make the right decision. So I've done all of my wedding planning on my own. And then after I'm like, this is what I decided, and it just serves me so much better.
That's amazing. And, like, and there's also another piece of your design where, like, it's good for you to, like, be collaborative and be around other people, but it's not about, like, having, like, A conversation with somebody like you literally just being, like, in the dress shop or on the street or in a park is like, does the work itself? Like, just being around other people can, like, help you connect your intuition even quicker.
I love that. Yeah. And. And it's so interesting. Do you know about personal health system phs?
Yes, I do. About the food?
Yeah. Because I had heard that human design has this whole, like, digestion food and what digestive type you are. Can you share a little bit about that system?
Totally. So it's fascinating. Like, human design, like, once you dive in, you'll realize that it's actually, like, an endless amount of information. One thing I will say about the food system is, like, it is very important to sort of, like, first align with your own design before kind of exploring all this other stuff. Because, like, often that stuff won't have as much of an impact if you're not really aligning with your design. So just, like, not getting too caught up, because I know that it's easy to get absorbed in all the information, so I would just take your time with it. But the PHS system is basically, all of our bodies are designed to kind of process food differently. And so it's really not about what we're eating, but how we're eating it. And so some people, for me, for example, and I don't have my deeper software open, so I don't have your Sahar, but I can definitely email it to you. Is that. For me, it's good to kind of eat food around a lot of activity and energy. Having it be a little bit more frenetic. Like me. Eating outside or walking on the street is very healthy. Some people, it's better to kind of, like, eat after the sun sets. Other people, it's good to, like, eat in direct sunlight. Other people, it's, like, good to, like, not eat, like, a lot of things mushed together, but basically eat, like, one item at a time. So rather than having a stew, it's more like, I'm gonna have, like, the carrots, and now I'm gonna have the peas, and now I'll have the cucumbers. And then. Yeah. So there's all these different. But it's all about the conditions. And basically it just, like, allows our digestive system to kind of operate properly.
It's so freaking cool. Like, I nerd out. Yeah. Because I had heard of some people have, like, the caveman digestion.
Exactly.
That one. One thing at. They can't do a salad bar.
Exactly. Oh, and then there's some People that like need to eat things that are like cooler. Other people need to eat things that are hotter. Yeah.
So is there any way from looking at our own charts we can tell or we need someone who's trained in that.
You do need someone that's trained in that. Or at least there's just a deeper. So what you're going to look up on the Internet, you don't get actually all the levels of human design. That's just kind of like the surface chart. And so in my deeper software then you start to see what we call the colors and the tones in human design. And so it's just a deeper level, all of that. And that's where you can really access the info around like phs and environment and all of that.
So cool. Yeah. I know someone who, she was told from her human design she has to eat like by herself in silence. And she has like. Yeah, she has like two kids and she does that. She wears noise canceling headphones, goes in the other room, eats by herself. And she had like lifelong digestive issues. Ibs and it healed it.
Wow. Absolutely. And it's just like, it's so wild. I mean it really is just like how our digestive systems are designed to function. And I just so appreciate the fact that it's not about like you're supposed to eat this kind of food or this kind of food is more just like what are the conditions you can create for your digestive system to like actually process your food. Okay.
Yeah. Someone told me that based off of.
My chart, I have to.
I was. My digestive type is one of the people who is transitioning between being hunters to farmers. So I was like one of the people testing foods. So I have to like try a lot of foods and it has to be foods that I like. So like nibbling and tasting and like really like enjoying it is really important for me. I'm like, I'm all about that. I love the farmer's market.
Yeah, absolutely. And like also for projectors in general, like it's good for us to not have like super heavy meals, but really to kind of be more clean and kind of eat a lot of smaller meals rather than kind of like denser ones.
So good. Oh my God. There's so many, so many more things I want to ask you about. So can you share with us what your name for these archetypes are?
Yeah, so I only use different language again because I work with companies as well. And like the language of generator and projector, like often is not going to be as easily accessible. So I generally call the generators build. So manifested generators are express builders. Classic generators are just builders. Projectors are advisors, manifestors are innovators, and then reflectors are evaluators.
I love that. And do you ever feel like people are like, oh, I'm a generator, and they're bummed out because I've seen that happen.
Yes, totally. I have. And it's mostly often just because they feel like they just fit in the majority of the population, so they're not actually very different. But the thing is about human design is the whole thing is that we are all so radically unique, and the magic comes when we kind of accept and step into our own uniqueness, and we also create space for the people around us to be very unique. So, like, even though you're a generator, there are, like, so many other elements of your design that are totally unique to you. So I think the resistance often comes from, like, I'm not that. Like, I'm not that unique. But, like, the truth is, like, the whole thing is about how you are so incredibly unique.
And I think we were talking about how Deepak Chopra is a generator.
Oh, my God, yes.
Yeah.
And.
And so do you know any other, like, public figures and what their designs are just so it can, like, kind of sit with people?
Yeah. So Oprah's also a generator. So is Ellen DeGeneres. Obama's a projector. Of course. I'm always like. I look, I'm just like, Obama. Like, actually, we have, like, totally different designs, but we're both projectors. You know, there's honestly a little bit of confusion around Michael Jackson, but he's either a projector or a reflector.
He would still be a reflector.
I know. I think he's a reflector.
Yeah.
And then Amma, the woman, the hugging saint, she's a reflector as well. Trump is a manifesting generator.
Makes sense.
Yeah. And then Jennifer. I mean, Jennifer Aniston's a manifester. So is Hitler. I mean, there's a lot, obviously, but.
Oh, they were manifestors.
They're both manifesters. Yeah.
Wow, that's so interesting. And I also just wanted to observe how, like, someone like Oprah, who we could think she's a manifester. I mean, look at what she's created for Deepak Chopra. But they're an Ellen DeGeneres, but they're generators. So, like, why do you think that they chose to be generators and not manifestors?
Because I think, like, generators are the ones that actually have the energy to, like, do all the Building and all the creating. And so, like, they basically, like, all they need is that internal response to let them know that they actually have the energy to do it. So, like, a soon as Oprah gets that response of like, oh, my God, like, I want to pursue this thing or create this magazine or do this show, like, then it's like, go do it. She has all the permission to, like, go out and build that thing. And so I think that, like, these are the people that really actually have the, like, energy to sort of build these empires. And so. So, yeah, and I think it can be a little bit harder as a manifester, because you might have the idea, but you actually, like, need the people around you to kind of help bring that thing to life.
Totally. That makes sense. And someone asked me, they were like, do you create based off of what you observe that people need? And I was like, no, never. It's always just coming from my intu. But I think that generator type, is that responding to what people need? Like, there's a void and I will fill it.
Exactly, exactly. Yeah.
That's amazing. So where can listeners connect with you, get their charts, read with you, and participate in your workshops?
Yeah, absolutely. So all the info for, like, sessions and workshops, which I'm holding in New York City right now are on my website, erinclairjones.com claire with an e and my Instagram erin claire jones. And then if you want to look up your chart, you can go to erinclairejones.com lookup and you can look up your chart there as well. And like, I also offer free webinars every week or. And so you can, like, come and ask your questions there and sort of start to dive into your design and get into the process.
So cool. And for people who are like, I want to, like, dive into the system and learn everything about it, maybe even professionally. What do you recommend?
Yeah, so, I mean, there's a lot of people that have self studied, you know, I self studied well. I studied with a teacher for like a year and a half, and then I went through, honestly, all the traditional certifications because, like, that felt correct to me. So, you know, if you want to go through Those certifications, there's IHGs, the International School of Human Design, but I also would highly recommend the BG5 Business Institute. I think I was in their first cohort that sort of went through. And that's all about the application of human design to, like, business and leadership. And, like, they've done such an amazing job at translating the information to make it more accessible. So that's been a great resource for me. And then there's, like, obviously a lot of stuff online as well. And, like, the core resource text by RA is called the Definitive Guide to Human Design. And that can be also really. It can be a little bit dense. It's not very light, but it's definitely a good deep dive in into the system.
Oh, I love it. I like, eat this stuff up, you know, it's so fun for me.
I know projectors also just, like, love to take in all the information and study all the systems, so I'm not surprised. And I feel the same way.
And all the archetypes, like, is this a projector thing? I'm obsessed with archetypes.
Totally. Yeah, exactly. I mean, the. The projector thing is basically like, just like, this tendency to, like, have this real intellect and like, like to study and take in all this new information. But, like, honestly, what like, gets us so on fire is like, discovering system that helps us, like, understand people. You know, for us, it's all about just like, helping understand people. Like, understanding people and sort of what makes them tick and how they actually work. And so, like, having systems like Human Design or Ari Veda or just like, systems that archetype people could be so helpful.
It's so true. And I think the reflector is like a kaffadosha. What do you think?
So interesting. I mean, I think honestly, reflector is them all because, like, they really, over the course of a month, they literally have like a week where they're a manifesto manifesting generator, generator, projector. So, like, somehow I think that's like they're the tri dosha combo, if it's possible.
Oh, yeah, totally possible. Yeah, that. That makes sense. Just because I guess the reflectors I know are all so different. Like my friend Jordan Younger, she's reflector and she's super sensitive, and I think of that kapha, but then Angie's pitta. So, yeah, I guess it's. It's just. It's changing. So overall worth determining that generator pitta, projector, vata. And you think some kapha because of the resting.
Yeah, I'm also biased because I'm vata Kapha.
But yes, reflect tridoshik and manifestor pitta with vata because they have that insight too.
Yes, that feels totally right to me.
You heard it right here first, guys. Well, thank you so much for being on the podcast and sharing your wisdom with us.
Oh, my gosh, such a pleasure. Thank you so much.
How epic was that episode I am obsessed with human design. I am always trying to make my lifestyle align with my projectorness even though I have the tendency to operate like a generator slash manifold manifester all the time because I'm just doing things. But it's a really great reminder for me to always just go back have a team around me to who can help support the vision. So if you want to learn more about your human design type, you can find your type out online. If you just type in human design chart you can look it's like Jovian is the website, but Erin is actually offering our community a discount for her blueprint which is a 30 page written PDF on your design and that's going to give you a lot more information than just looking it up online. So look up your human design online on Jovian but then head over to Erin Claire's website to get your archetype which she's giving a discount on with code Sahara. So her website is erin claire jones.com I'll have the link in the show notes and you're going to love her comparison with human design and the different career types so you can learn how you can best operate in the workspace.
