So great to be here. Thank you for inviting me.
And the first question I would love to ask you is, what makes you your highest self?
What makes me my highest self? I would say being in the consistent practice of deep and profound forgiveness.
So beautiful. So difficult, yet so isn't it, though?
I know it is. It's such a. Such a dance for all human beings to live that practice. And it is a lifelong thing. I don't believe that forgiveness happens just once. I believe it's really a choice that we get to choose into every day.
So beautiful. So you are someone who really has guided so many women into radically changing their beliefs, changing their mindset. I mean, seeing you on stage at Girl Talk Festival, doing your processes with people was profound. And so many people who had lifelong limiting beliefs, whether it was related to their capacity to earn, to create, to be part of community, live, their purpose was so incredible. So can you share with us a little background of what you do, what your magic is?
Absolutely. My magic is waking up the dreams in other women and men, specifically women, though. I mean, that's my specialty. Waking up the dreams in other women in such a way that they're clear that they get to take massive, profound and deep committed action to making sure that their dreams do come to life. I really have this skill in waking up the magic in others and showing them what's possible and reminding them of their essence and who they actually are. So we as human beings, when we're coming into our human experience, when we're little, when we're three, four, five years old, we do believe that we can have anything. We believe that we're infinite. We believe that we're beautiful. We believe in magic. I mean, we really do believe in magic until someone tells us that Santa Claus does not exist. And so as we kind of navigate through these challenges, when someone breaks our heart for the first time, or someone that we look up to, someone that we respect breaks our heart or lies to us or forgets to pick us up from school or walks out and never comes back. I mean, we have these experiences as adults, current day, present day, because of what interpretations we made up about the experiences we had when we were younger. And so these pieces about ourselves, these walls that we build, this armor that we put on, is really to protect us from experiencing that pain again. And when we're really young, we don't have the tools to support us in being able to understand what's actually happening, to really unpack the experience that we're having, because every experience is neutral. But we don't know that when we're little, we don't know that when we're young. So it's in the development of us becoming our adult selves, when we build these self imposed limitations and these fears and these self doubts, which is really an opportunity for us to remember that we are infinite. So I remind people that they're infinite. I remind women that they can have and cause and create and generate anything, whatever it is that they want, desire, providing that they're willing to interrupt the programming, the conditioning and the conversations that hold them back.
Mm, so powerfully said and just so much to unpack in that. What are some of like, especially in the spiritual community, what are some of the core underlying beliefs that you have seen that are holding women back from really stepping up in the way that they could.
I would say that the biggest limitation or the biggest fear that I've seen in women is the belief that they're not worthy, the fear that, that the universe is not going to support them in having whatever they desire. And really thinking that we're separate from the universe, not own that we are one with the universe, that we are directly connected to God and we are of God. And so when women are stuck in their career, they're stuck in relationships, when they don't feel like they have everything they want and they're wondering where their life partner is, or they're wondering where the next client is, or they're wondering what's the next step they're going to take for their purpose to come to life is really at the end of the day, a lack of self worth, conversation or a lack of belief in themselves. And that's my magic, that's my gift, is empowering women to remember, remember that not only are they infinite, not only are they absolutely supported by the universe in every imaginable way, but that they're abundant at the core of their being. That abundance is an experience that starts from the inside out. That abundance is not based upon how many things we have, it's not based upon how much money we have in our account, but it really is the embodiment of abundance. Trusting that no matter what, that we really, really get to depend on the universe, that it will provide for us and that we have everything that we need right in front of us.
So true. Can you share with us a little bit about the story? How you actually manifested something really negative in your life and the power that our thoughts hold?
You know, I often get, I get to dance with this all the time because I mean we all have the same ability and the same capacity to manifest what we desire. And I think that we as human beings forget the power of our thoughts. We think that our actions are really what is ultimately going to bring what we want into our lives. But our. When our thoughts and our words and our actions are all in harmony, when they're all connected and they're all in alignment with each other, that's when we can really achieve and experience bliss and harmony in our life. You know, like the thoughts that we have. I remember this. I'll never forget this. And I really got to learn the power of my thoughts. When I was 17 years old, I was experiencing deep, profound depression in my life and a lack of clarity about who I got to be for the world. And the story that I made up was that I didn't have friends. Nobody liked me. I didn't matter, my voice didn't matter, my vote didn't count. I just felt very alone in a lot of ways. And I used to lay in bed at night as I was navigating through deep, profound depression, I would lay in bed at night and wish that I could actually experience and be a witness to my own funeral so that I could see who would show up. And I would spent so much time on this thought and so much time and energy on this experience and just making up the decision, making up my mind and deciding that I didn't matter, that I didn't have friends, that people didn't care about me. And I spent so much time on this. After a while I just decided, well, I don't really want to die. So what if I could be in some kind of an accident where it would be serious enough for me to be in the icu? And then I would see who would show up to the hospital room to see me, and then I would get the validation that I was looking for. And I spent a lot of time imagining this and kind of crafting it in my mind. I said I didn't want to break any bones at the time I was modeling. So I had this whole thing, I don't want to go through the windshield of my car. I mean, it was really gruesome, the thought process I was in at that time. And I really invested a lot of energy into this experience. And a couple months later, I wound up falling 14ft from the hayloft in my barn. I was decorating for a party with my friends, and I was hanging sheets on the ceiling, and I was walking backwards, backwards, backwards, backwards, and then ran out of floor and fell through the Opening of the floor, landed on my head on concrete, was instantly unconscious, in a coma, rushed to the hospital, in the icu. And I was in this coma and the doctors were sharing with my parents really, really clearly and setting them up for what could be the worst case scenario. And they said, you know, we just want to let you know that this experience, experience that Jenna is currently having, will likely have her stay in a coma for a very, very long time, because, you know, the swelling in her brain is pretty significant. And when and if she does wake up from her coma, she will likely have permanent brain damage and she'll never be the same. And so that experience was so powerful for me because not only did I wake up the next day, which actually was not that long ago, but 20 years ago on February 5th, I just had my rebirth day. Not that long ago, a few days ago, that I realized that I got to be in ownership of my thoughts. Because when I woke up, I was a different person. I was happy. I had this understanding of my relationship with the universe and I got to relearn how to read and write, how to communicate, how to put my thoughts into words. But what I got was the very thing that I asked for, Sahara. Like, I asked the universe for validation. And I had so much support and so much love from so many people that I realized that I do matter and I do have purpose. And I'm here to cause transformation. I'm here to be a voice for the voiceless, here to show people that anything is possible. And at the end of the day, it all depends upon the way that we think about ourselves and the world and life and magic and everything that our soul is. And that's how we navigate through our most challenging times.
Wow, that is so incredible. And just knowing you today, to even think that that was your thought process before you are a different person. And do you believe that maybe you are a walk in soul?
I've thought about that and I do believe that because I really, honestly woke up a different person. I woke up happy, joyful, vibrant. I was just going down the wrong path. I believe that where my body, my meat suit was headed was not the direction in which I was really meant to serve the planet. I was just honestly spending time with the wrong people. I was self medicating, smoking weed, smoking cigarettes, not taking care of my body, not clear about the power of positive energy in and positive energy out. I didn't understand fitness, eating healthily. And so from all of that, I got to really turn my life around because I also woke up from my coma and was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. I didn't know that I had it, so it was developing my body, and I had no idea. So this whole blessing in disguise was an opportunity for me to also look at the diagnosis of the dis Ease in my body as a tool, as a reminder to stay healthy, to eat well, to exercise, to practice positive thoughts, to take supplements and look at alternative medicine. So it really was a complete game changer for me. And for that, I'm grateful. And I learned the power of believing that everything happens for us, not to us, from that whole experience.
So beautifully said. And I think most healers out there began the journey because they needed the healing themselves. Because if you didn't have to go down that rabbit hole of, how do I not have insulin spikes or autoimmune disease or whatever it is for each person, then why would you become so curious to research it to the point that you're able to help other people with it?
Exactly. Yeah. Definitely gave me purpose. It gave me an opportunity to really stand in that. And I do believe that we're also meant to teach the same lessons. We're here to learn the most. And so a lot of my transformation really was rooted in that breakdown and learning how to turn that breakdown into a breakthrough and know that it was actually happening for me. And that's my biggest thing that I teach now is I teach people how to move through trauma, through forgiveness, like, radical, deep, profound forgiveness, that freedom is found within forgiveness. And that when we give ourselves permission to live that and choose to look at everything that we experience as a blessing, then we have our power. Then we're not a victim to our experience.
So true. So I want to talk a bit about worthiness. So I remember a few years ago when everyone starts talking about how worthiness was really the key to manifesting, et cetera, I was like, I feel like I think I'm worthy, you know, because, like, no one ever feels like the thought of, like, I am unworthy, but it shows up in different ways. So. So how, like, for listeners out there who are like, I feel like I'm worthy of money, but for some reason, it's not showing up for me. I feel like I'm worthy of love, but it's not showing up for me. How can they identify that? It is those thoughts of unworthiness, but manifested in different subconscious forms.
I would say that the biggest disconnect that takes place here. Let me back this up. What I love about the Secret, the book, the Secret, the movie, the secret is it was kind of this eye opener, this soul opener, this mind opener for people like, whoa, I actually can manifest my desires. I actually can have and cause and create the very thing that I want. And really tapping into the frequency, like the power of their thoughts. And that's awesome. But what that book and that movie did not teach was the art of allowance. Like how to actually allow the things that you desire and the things that you want, the experiences that you want into your life. Because it really, at the end of the day, is a frequency, a frequency at which you're operating from. So if we are thinking like, I really, really, really, really, really, really want that. But I'm. Let's say that I really, really, really want a million dollars. I'm looking for an investor. I'm looking to get a pay raise at the job that I have or whatever it is that, you know, that anyone, any given person desires. Let's say that they want more money, but they're not being the vibrational frequency for more money. So they're tipping a couple dollars here and there. They're not tipping 20%, no matter what. They're not tipping 50%, 100%, 200%. They're not giving $5 tip on a cup of coffee. They're hoarding their money. They're afraid that the vibrational frequency that they're outputting is that they're afraid that more money won't come. And that's why they're desiring more money. Like, I want more money. I want more money. And I'm scared that more won't come. But, gosh, I really, really want more money. But they're not being the embodiment of generosity and abundance. There's no way they're going to be able to call that in. So when we have. When we experience a block, when we experience that something is not coming in and something else I want to say to all of you who are committed to finding your partner or being found by your partner, like you're looking for your soul, wondering where your soulmate currently is. What is the conversation, the internal dialogue that you have? At what level do you love yourself? How much do you appreciate yourself? Have you ever even tried dating yourself? I have. A lot of the women that I coach, I have them take themselves on dates where they get to set the frequency at which they want to be treated and how they want to be treated, how they want to be respected and nurtured and loved and cherished and adored. So it really is at the end of the Day, what are you putting out into the universe? What's the message that you're putting out? Like, yes, you can want these things, but we don't attract what we want, we attract what we are. We attract the same vibrational frequency that we're outputting to the universe. And that's the biggest thing that I, that I'm also really passionate about is teaching women how to be the embodiment of what they want to experience.
So this art of allowance, it is something that even for me can be really difficult because, you know, it's this fine line between taking action and allowing. And I see very few people have really mastered this of taking action towards that thing and then allowing, once you've gotten to a certain point, for the universe to let it come to you. And I see a lot of people on one end that they're not taking action. They're thinking, okay, I'm just going to put it on my vision board. I'm going to pray for it on the full moon and it's going to show up for me. But their everyday actions have not shifted at all. And then you see a lot of the people who are just in that, like, hardcore business space just taking action, just taking action. And they're not asking themselves why, and then they're not allowing for that spaciousness for the universe to provide. How do we tread that path correctly?
You know, this is also really a powerful question because who I used to be prior to the last nine years of personal development, transformational work, masterminds, having coaches, having. I've done a lot of work on myself so that I can be the most effective leader that I can possibly be. I'm never not in a mastermind. I'm never without a coach. I always have somebody that I'm seeking guidance from. So prior to my transformation, I was really embodying masculine, like masculine energy in a lot of the ways that I was doing, quote, unquote, doing things. And I wasn't really operating from a space of feminine energy. Being, allowing, attracting, receiving, calling in. And so I found myself outputting so much energy where I was in the doingness and caught up in the doingness and thinking that in order to cause the outcome that I wanted, I had to do more. But my biggest breakthrough actually came forth for me when I was in a training. It was a somatic training, got to really move our bodies and understand the balance between masculine and feminine. And I remember I was asking the trainer, I said, and I wish that I could be face to face with you and Showing what I was doing, but I was punching my hands with every point that I was making. I said, I don't understand. I know I'm successful. I know that I'm powerful. I know that I'm funny, I know that I'm a catch. I know that I'm this. And I was punching my hand every single time I was saying, like landing a point. And I was like, where is my guy? Like, punching my hand. And the trainer said, stop doing this. And she was punching her hands. And I was like, okay, got it. So I am being super masculine in every imaginable way. And what would it look like for me to simply trust that the person that I'm looking for is actually looking for me? And I don't get to do the looking anymore. Like, I get to stop hunting. So I declared out into the universe, I said, I am worthy of being found by a loving, incredible honorary man who's going to honor, cherish, respect and adore me and treat me like the queen that I am. And I'm done looking. Like, I get to be found. And literally three days later, I got a message from Brad, my now husband and father of my baby, on match.com. and so I realized that the power of my shift and my energy, because energy is everything. I mean, Sahara, you know when you meet somebody and you're like either like instantaneously, first eight seconds, you're like, yes, we are totally connecting, totally clicking, or there's a disconnect, it's just not flowing. So we all have the ability to tap into that and really trust our energy and trust our intuition, because energy doesn't lie. And I created this opportunity for me to shift my energy and my belief system. But then I also allowed myself to. I was still putting myself out there. I was still available to be found. And I said to myself, you know, I'm going to be found. However the universe wants me to be found. I'm not attached to what that looks like. But I stopped putting so much energy into it. And I'm not saying to just sit on your butt and literally do nothing and just have, have positive thoughts and then a million dollars gonna fall out of the sky. I mean, maybe that could happen. I mean, if we really wanna think about all things being possible, 100% is possible, 100% of the time, that may be a possibility. And I think it's really, really powerful to be in flow, in committed action. Also practicing the pause, like power of the pause, like putting something out there, being yourself, living your vision, living your Passion and doing the things that bring you joy, not doing the things that weigh you down and are not your genius. And this is where women can get really stuck, as we're so caught up in the doing this, but really giving yourself permission to trust that whatever it is that you desire is absolutely available for you. And you get to trust the timing of the universe while you still move forward and you allow. It's like that dance. And it is tricky. It absolutely is. And for all of you who are listening right now, I just want you to know that the power lies within the shift in your belief system. And it takes committed practice. It takes diligent practice. It takes you trusting and knowing that you are absolutely worthy of everything that you desire and operating from a space that is indicative of that belief that you're worthy of tipping 50%, 20%, 30%, that you're worthy of shining your light and wearing your heart on your sleeve, not keeping your heart boxed up in a little cage because you're afraid of getting your heart broken, but being open. Being open and being available.
So beautifully said. And I think a lot of it is the people we're surrounded by, right? Like, I used to be, you know, just in a regular community of people who followed the rules. They. They went to college, they got a job, they got married. Xyz. So I didn't even know this type of life was possible for me. I thought that you either choose what you love or you make money, but it can't be both. And because I had never even seen people doing this, my mind wasn't even there, Right? And I think that it takes, like, having conversations with people who are living the life that you want to live. And you see, like, wow, they are a human, just like me. The only difference is one day they chose that it was possible for them. That's it.
Yes. 100%. Absolutely.
This episode is brought to you by Four Sigmatic. Four Sigmatic is an incredible mushroom elixir company. I proudly drink their elixirs every single day. My favorite is their chai mix. It is insanely delicious. I quit chocolate cold turkey. And what helped me was drinking this chai mix every day. And best of all, they use stevia to sweeten it. And there's no sugars like the chai lattes you'll find at Starbucks or wherever else. And the mushrooms are really good for balancing your hormones, helping heal adrenal fatigue, healing your body on an adaptogenic level. So adaptogens really kind of relate to what your body needs. So if you are High stress will bring you down. If you need more energy, it will bring you up. And that's what's so amazing about adaptogens. They adapt to your body. And mushrooms, medicinal mushrooms, have a lot of adaptogenic properties. So you can head over to their website 4sigmatic.com F O U R S I G N M a t I c.com Sahara I have a little shop up there with my favorite four Sigmatic products, so you can try it out. And you can also get 15% off any four sigmatic product using the code Sahara. So for people out there who are lots of our listeners, they want to essentially be paid to be them. They want to create a business around their message, whether it is themselves, healing themselves or overcoming something. How do we really turn our pain into our purpose? And you've done that so beautifully. What are kind of like the steps and the directions people can go in to really almost first figure out what that purpose is and then make it their, their full time thing that pays their bills.
I think that the biggest thing for any of you who are listening and you're wanting to get paid to do the thing that you love more than anything else is you get to get radically clear about what that's going to look like. When I have women go through the process of defining their overarching purpose, like what they want to be experiencing on a day to day basis, I have them write out a list and you can actually do this, ladies and gentlemen, if you're listening as well. But for those of you who are listening, I invite you to actually take this on and practice this. So I'll just give you one of the processes that I do with some of my private clients. I have them write down a list of 10 laws for their purpose and what that could look like. And they speak about it as if it's happening now, it's in the present. So this is not about what they're actually doing and having it look a very certain specific way. They get to speak into how they want it to feel like, what they want their environment to be like. Because if you think about the different ways that. And Sahara, I'm sure that you've reinvented yourself many times, that you've had a lot of different versions of yourself, different stages, different phases. But I'm sure that your overarching message, like your big message, your bigger vision, purpose and your message is pretty consistent and just looks different depending on the package that you're, that you're creating. And for me, once upon a time, I was a personal trainer for celebrities in Los Angeles and a life coach for them. And I mean, this was 12 years ago that I was really, really living this. And this is my passion. This is what I thought that I was going to be doing for the rest of my life. What I was committed to was transformation. It wasn't fitness, and I always thought that it was going to be fitness. I thought that fitness was the vehicle. Fitness was the way I was going to change people's lives. That's my purpose. That's what I'm here to do. That's what I'm here to be. But I went through a series, different phases and different experiences where I realized that I was no longer passionate about that. What I became really passionate about was coaching bigger groups of influencers and leaders and supporting them in, like, profound trauma release and reinventing their relationship with the past and utilizing their pain experiences and having them be a part of their purpose and a part of their story, and then ultimately getting paid to tell their story in a powerful way and really stepping into responsible leadership. And so what does that mean? That meant that I got to say goodbye to that old version or that old vehicle that I was using, quote, unquote, fitness and really step into personal development, emotional intelligence, transformation. So that's now what I do. And I utilize my. I have a leadership academy in San Diego with my husband. And so that's my current vehicle. But my message and my intention and my stand for humanity has always been the same. That when you believe in yourself, you can cause and create anything, literally anything. And so the biggest thing that every single one of you get to know is that you're 100% capable and worthy of living the dream life that you want to have. It's available for you. You just get to make up your mind that it's here, that it's already happening. So having said that, get out a clean sheet of paper and write purpose in big letters at the top of the page. And then these 10 laws get to be reflective of the kind of experience you want to have. Have. And don't be attached to what it's all going to look like, because I promise you, you will reinvent the vehicle. You will get a new vehicle. You will create a new vehicle. Because I believe that we're either green and growing or we're ripe and rotting. And I think it's really powerful to be able to be fluid with our purpose and not be attached to the vehicle, because it's going to change many times all throughout your life. So write down 10 laws. The first law could be something like, I'm surrounded by people who respect and appreciate me. Because if you think about the people you want to work with, are they people who are inspiring you? Are they people who motivate you, encourage you? Are you the boss? Are you a part of a team? Like, what lights you up? For some people, they want to be a part of a team. For others, they want to lead the way, they want to be out in front, they want to be the face, they want to, you know, other people want to work on the logistics and the systems. And so you get to be really super clear about where you're going to shine and what your genius is, is. And then the next law could be something like, I make more than enough money to handle all of my bills, wants, needs, desires and expenses with more than enough leftover to handle anything that comes up unexpectedly. So be really clear about what that's going to look and feel like. I can make my own hours, I can travel, I can work from anywhere. So don't be attached to the vehicle, but be really specific about what your laws get to be for your life and for your purpose purpose. And make sure that these are non negotiable. So when you have an opportunity that comes your way and you kind of go through your list, you go through your laws and you're like, huh, Is this being challenged? Is this being honored? Is this being respected? Is this something that's alive in this opportunity? And if the answer is no, then you get to say no to this quote, unquote opportunity. Because I've found, and I've discovered a lot throughout my life as an entrepreneur that oftentimes distractions, they can get all dressed up and look like opportunities, but that's really all they are, is distractions. So be clear about how you want to feel in your environment and what you want that to be. And know that you get to live your joy. You get to live whatever it is that lights your soul on fire. And anyone can make money doing anything. The only thing that makes the difference between successful and not successful, and it is a fine line, is the level of joy. And if you're doing it for the sake of the money and you're not doing it like whatever it is you're up to, if you would do it for free, then that's where you get to go very, very quickly in the direction of your, of your dreams. Because you get to know that not only do you get to be paid for whatever it is that you want to do. But if you would literally do it for free for the rest of your life, because that's how much you enjoy it. That's what your purpose is.
Oh, my gosh. Full body chills listening to all of that. And it's so true. And I think at any stage of your career, your business, we get to go back and redefine those things, because sometimes as we expand, opportunities will show up. I'm sure this has happened for you, Jenna, that feel like, oh, well, this is a raise or this is a whatever it is, but it's not in alignment with that core vision of yourself. So you. You must go back and remind yourself, like, how do I really want to serve? How do I really want to show up? And that you can only get by doing the mindset work.
Absolutely.
It could save a lot of people from, you know, spending gears going down a rabbit hole that was not meant for them because they thought it was just the next logical step.
I will never forget the best advice I'd ever gotten, because I've had multiple people ask me this on different podcasts. What's the best advice you've ever gotten? And this is what I always respond with. When I was a personal trainer, I had one of my clients. Her name is Jackie Warner, and she used to have a show on Bravo called Workout. And she was a celebrity trainer, trainer for the stars. And so she was my client. I was her butt trainer. My job was to sculpt her butt. So she had, like, four trainers, and she was awesome, and I loved working with her, and we would always talk shop and talk about the business and fitness as a whole and really how to make it in the business. And she said to me one day, I'll never forget this. She says, don't ever do it for the money. And I was like, huh? Okay, Got it noted. Thank you. And I became very successful in the fitness world and really loved my passion and what I was being and who I was being and what I was doing until I found a new passion. And I ran into her in Los Angeles, and I said, jackie, I don't know if you remember me, but I was your trainer a few years ago. Of course I remember you. And I said, I just want to say thank you so much for the best advice you ever gave. And she said, what was that? And I said, you told me to never do it for the money. Like, never have it be about the money. And she's like. I said that. She's like, I wish I listened to that advice. Because she wound up Getting kind of stuck in that spiral and then became very focused on making more money and then made some decisions she wasn't. That didn't support her vision. So it was like this whole navigation through the new struggle and the challenges. And so I think that's just really important for every single one of you to know and to hear and to really honor that. When you find yourself doing the thing or doing the job or doing the job because you're clocking in, clocking out, and you're paycheck to paycheck, or you're doing it just for the sake of the money, you're no longer living your joy. You're no longer living your passion. And when you live your passion with absolute, unbridled joy, unbridled freedom, when you give yourself permission to trust that's available for you and that also you're worthy of living, that the money's going to come and you get to know that about yourself.
That is so accurate. And even if we look at it from, like, an actual energetic perspective, when you aren't loving what you're doing, you aren't doing your best work, you're distracted, you're miserable. So literally, you can't make money doing something that doesn't give you joy because you won't be able to step into it enough. I remember, like, different times in my life thinking, you know what? I'll just go do that thing for money. I'll become a real estate agent or do this thing. And then realizing, like, even if I tried to become a real estate agent agent for the money, I wouldn't even be able to, because there are people out there who love being a real estate agent, and it is their joy. And they do get really excited by going to open houses on a Sunday. So how would I even be able to compete with someone who is in their zone of genius in their joy? So it's actually an illusion to think that we can do that money job to get that money, because it's only going to last for a certain amount of time. I do think it's possible to work that money job for a period of time, knowing that you're using that fund to invest in yourself to get you somewhere else. And that's actually a really smart move. But to think that you're going to just, you know, kind of skim over this whole, like, life purpose Dharma thing, like, it's just not for you, and forever live your life just chasing the money. You're. You're never going to end up happy. And so many you know, the. Everyone, if you ask, what is the meaning of life? They would say it's happiness. But I think you'd agree with me that it's, it's purpose. Because you can't be happy if you aren't living your purpose. Happiness is just, just a byproduct of purpose.
So, so, so true. Girl, you hit the nail right on the head. I was getting chills when you were speaking that. Yeah, when I meet people who are depressed or they're not thriving, it's usually a result of them not living their vision. They're not living their purpose. They're not, they're not being on purpose. And so when we give ourselves permission to be firm in our inner pursuit, to live our dream life, to live our joy, to live our purpose, and to have our purpose change the world so that it's like the sense of fulfillment, then that's when you know, when you meet those people, they're on fire, they're magnetic, they're radiant. They're clear about what they're here to cause and they're therefore causing it. So I think that at the end of the day, for every single one of you who is listening right now, I really, really want you to know that the thing that you think about, that you wish you could be doing, the thing that you dream about, that you think is just a really nice daydream and it seems like it'd be cool, but no freaking way and hell are you ever going to be able to do that because fill in the blank. Whatever pre existing belief or limiting belief that's been pass down to you from your lineage or your experiences in your childhood, it's really up to you to end that and to shift that and to create a new distinction for your life. It's not up to the government, it's not up to the economy, it's not up to your clients or your spouse or lack thereof. I mean, it comes down to you making the powerful choice and the powerful decision to think outside the box, to do something you've never done before, to invest in the mastermind, to hire the coach, to travel and live in Europe for a couple months to find yourself, whatever that looks like for you. You get to be willing to do something you've never done before. And underneath that, being someone you've never been before so that you can ultimately have it all.
So well said. So I want to talk a little bit about transitions. So a lot of people I have noticed in our industry just around the world are transitioning right now. But Previously, I feel like there was this, like, limiting belief that if you transitioned, you failed, right? Like, if you sought out to be a trainer and now you're no longer a trainer, that means you must have failed at being a trainer rather than you actually reach the amount of success that you needed for that thing. Your sole contract with it was complete. So a lot of people out there, they might be listening, and they're like, you know, I'm, quote, unquote, successful in what I do. I'm. I'm a lawyer, I'm a doctor. I'm. I work in an ad agency. So I can't leave this success. You know, what are people going to say? I can't start from square one. It's too late for me. That's. That's advice for people in their early 20s. What do you say to the people who are in their 30s, 40s, 50s, who are kind of dreaming a little bit about transitioning but not fully letting themselves get there because they don't even know what it would look like?
So powerful. I swear, you've lived inside my brain, you know, all of my past experiences. This is hilarious. So, yeah, when I was about 34, it was actually between 33 and 34 when I realized that I was not living my vision anymore. And I really wanted to create a powerful place for people to grow and evolve and expand. And opening a gym was not that, because I had investors wanting to invest millions of dollars in my brand gym, like, my trademarked vision, my philosophy, my way to have people experience powerful transformations in their bodies. So I kept having these things, but I kept finding myself not jumping in or jumping forward or making it happen. And there was something that was tapping me on the shoulder that said, this isn't. This is not it. This is not what you're supposed to be doing. And so I realized that the work that I really wanted to be doing was in the realm of emotional intelligence. And I began that journey about eight years ago. So I had already wanted to make the transition. I was a personal trainer for really powerful people. And I had been. It was like, kind of like my side job or like my side gig. Really, like, my side hobby was personal development and transformation. And I was really doing it for myself and just really deepening my practice and deepening all of the opportunities I got to learn that I wanted to then pass on to others. And so I found myself in this transition where I was clear that I no longer wanted to be a personal trainer. I wanted to be an emotional intelligence trainer. And in this Transition, I found myself feeling like I was in limbo. Like I was still kind of holding onto the paycheck, but not powerfully letting go of it so that I could jump into being an emotional intelligence trainer and a coach, online coach, guide people through their challenges and have that be my new experience. Experience. And so I remember at this time I found myself experiencing a block. Like there wasn't this consistent flow of abundance into my life because I was in this limbo. I was living in fear, I was living in scarcity, that I was not going to be able to create the same amount of money in my new profession. And I had all these fears that were building up. And so I had an opportunity to be a part of a mastermind. And the woman who was leading the mastermind, she was. We were on an integration call and intake call and she was telling me about the opportunities to help, had this experience. And I remember this was about five years ago. And I said, you know, I really would love to be in this experience and I would love to be a part of this, but I just, I don't have the extra cash, like that much money laying around. Like, I've got, you know, bills to pay. I have this to manage. I have to, you know, pay off this and handle that debt and all of these excuses and like all these fears. Total scarcity. And she said, right now you're telling me that X amount of dollars, however much I think it was $5,000 dollars, like deposit to put down to get the ball going. And she said, right now you're telling me that $5,000 is more powerful than you. She's like, you are one of the most powerful people I know. I've watched you manifest. I know that you can call in literally anything, but for whatever reason, you're a scarcity. And your limiting beliefs and your fear around whatever belief you used to have or whatever has been passed down to you is keeping you stuck. So something's got to give. And I realized that it was up to me to create a brand new distinction in my life and a new relationship with a so very long story short, I found a way to manifest it. I thought outside the box. I got really super creative and the next day I came up with the money, I put the deposit down and literally the next day I had two people reach out to me on Facebook. They each sent me messages asking if they could hire me to be their online coach. I hadn't put out any advertising, anything, like nothing I hadn't said anything about. That's the service I was now offering. But I created this opening for me because of my willingness to think outside the box and not be defined by what I saw in front of me or what didn't see in front of me. So we all must be willing to be courageous, take a risk, take a blind leap of faith, and also be clear that we're worthy of it. It's like the opening up that portal by first deciding that we're worthy and then being determined to have it happen no matter what it looks like being open for the sake of being open and then allowing it to come to us.
So well said. And I appreciate had a similar experience of being at a stage in my life where I had literally no money. I had like $200 in my bank account and finding a teacher that I loved, but knowing that I couldn't pay for it and figuring it out, you know, like working random jobs, doing random things so I could pay for this mastermind, which ended up changing my life. So that is why we. We talk all the time about how we literally wouldn't be here for it wasn't for masterminds. And now we are so excited to share with the highest self podcast community that we are going to be facilitating our very own Mastermind.
Girl. Can we, can we please just talk about this for a second? About how incredible it is to be joining forces with you and offering something that I wish had been available to me when I was trying to figure out my next step as an entrepreneur. And I love that we're such a stand for collaboration and intellectual intimate empowerment, because you want to change the world in your own unique, special way. And I want to change the world in my own unique, special way. But we can't do it on our own. The power in collaboration and coming together so that we can be the wind beneath the wings of every single woman that we get to serve. Which I know that we're going to talk about all the details, but I really just want to talk about the magic of what's happening of us coming together with Ms. Sarah Pendrick. I mean, it's just. It's so fun. And my vision has always been I want to do really, really cool stuff with the people that I love. I want to create cool with awesome people and be a maniac on a mission with people that I love, especially women that I love and women that I respect. So I love that we're creating this. This new distinction about the new way, because the old way is like, I gotta one up her so that I can feel successful. So I can feel like I won. And that's a really, that's a masculine way of doing things. And there's so much power in the feminine and we're making it happen, girl. I'm just so excited to be in collaboration with you.
I am. So I literally was like, I wish that I could sign up for this Mastermind because very, I mean, I am, I'm going to be part. And I'm excited to learn from you and Sarah and all of the expert guests that we're going to be bringing on. But this is the way that the feminine learns. The feminine learns in communities. It's a very masculine approach to be like, okay, what is the problem? Let's talk about the problem and let's fix it. And I've done, you know, one on one coaching in the past and it was, it was helpful, but I was only able to think about the problem that I currently had. I was not to able, able to foresee things that I didn't even know existed until I joined Masterminds because maybe I wasn't at the stage yet that I was doing funnels and Instagram ads and all of these things, but hearing about someone else made me maybe first go to that stage way sooner than I would have, but then like pass by these issues that I potentially would have had had I not heard of someone else's experience. So that's why Masterminds are the number one highest way to learn.
Well, and I agree with you, and what I love about Masterminds is it's not, first of all, what we've created is not your husband's mastermind. Let me be clear. Secondly, it's not a coaching program. I think that's what we really get to make sure that all of you who are listening, that you really understand what it means to be a part of a Mastermind, is that you are contributing your gifts. Yes, you're going to learn an incredible amount of powerful tools, powerful distinctions. You're going to learn from everybody who's in our network because we're inviting all of our expert friends to come in and offer and teach what they do best. But the biggest thing is that this is not a coaching program. This is us being the wind beneath the wings of powerful women who also have something to contribute and they want to share their gifts and be a part of something that's bigger than them. So I love that we are creating. Honestly, to me, it feels like a movement, Sahara. It feels like a global movement that we're creating and we're going to be. And for all of you listening right now, we're going to be launching our Mastermind every single six months. So this first founding members group that's coming in, I mean, the women that I've been connecting to are leaders, powerhouses, visionaries, entrepreneurs. I mean, they are just really committed to bringing their vision and their mission to the next level. They just don't necessarily know what the next step is. And I think between the three of us, we've probably spent close to half a million dollars in personal development and masterminds and coaching and coaches and mentors and all the things. And what we're going to be offering to all these women is that which I'm really excited about is teaching them how to not make the same mist that we've made in our, in our entrepreneurship. So there's just a lot of, a lot of things that you get to avoid that, you know, we want to support you and in streamlining your success. So that's what I'm excited about, is being able to share our wisdom with as many women as possible.
Oh my gosh, I'm so excited for that. And just like all of the things that we have learned through trial and error, which has taken us years. Right. Like, I remember my first book launch, like, how do I get people to pre order my book? And how does it get on a best sellers list? And all of these things that literally took me years to figure out. Like our Mastermind participants get to learn that in five minutes, you know, and it's like, think about where, how much farther you could go learning the things that could have taken you years in a matter of minutes and then using that time to take action on it and go to the next thing and the next thing, and then having essentially 50 women looking at your business or your desire for a business as if it is their own and giving you so many different perspectives that you know, know. Like, we have this incredible woman who's a lawyer and she's knows so much about trademarks, et cetera, that I've even learned so much about from her. So all of these different perspectives that you could never get in one on one coaching. And definitely, you know, podcasts are amazing. I love podcasts, I love YouTube videos, I love googling things. It's really good to be resourceful. And people aren't sharing how they actually built their empires online for free. Let's be real.
No. Yeah, y' all think they are, but they're not. Like all the real juicy magic stuff that you want to truly have access to is found within environments and containers like masterminds, like coaching programs. But what I love about our specific mastermind container and what we've created, Sahara, is that women are going to have access to us in a way that we're not offering to women right now. We're not taking private clients, we're not doing that. But women do have an opportunity to get direct coaching, one on one coaching with us throughout the journey and also so sit with us eyeball to eyeball, knee to knee, heart to heart, and that we get to look at the entire scope of their business and pick it apart, unpack it, look at where are the gaps, where are the holes, what's leaking, what's not happening, what's not working and being able to provide that infinite amount of support and also really value and it's priceless to be able to support women in that way. So I love supporting women and living their best life. And this is an opportunity for the women that we are very specifically selecting and curating with the founding members is that we're all going to rise together and we're changing the world together.
So well said. And I think what really sets our mastermind apart is first of all, it is targeted to the woman who wants to be leading with her message. Now that doesn't mean that you already have a personal brand, but someone who, for example, in, in their service, they want their message, their story to be a part of it. They're someone that, that wants to, you know, create maybe an online program or certificate or event, podcast, book, all of these things. Most masterminds out there that I've seen really just focus on the dollars and, and the money. And another thing that we really bring in is, is the mindset. Are you aligned spiritually? Is this the life that you want to live? Because yeah, we could tell you all of the ways to, you know, use ads and make money. And we're definitely going to go deep into all, all that because you do deserve to make millions. And we want to make sure that your life is in alignment with that. So you actually wake up doing the things that you want to do, hiring in the right way. Oh my God, I'm so excited to just go into hiring and delegating and scaling and all of these things that so many women are never taught. So they end up doing it all on themselves. You know, you're a new mom. Your son is six months old. How old is he?
He's five months this week.
Five months. So you have a five month old and you have a leadership academy. You're on podcasts. You're. We're creating this mastermind. Your secrets just alone, you know, worth this entire thing. Because I know a lot of women out there who are moms. They're like, I don't have the time for this. I'm never going to be able to make it work. And you are a new mom who is doing it. And it's not because, you know, you've hired all of the nannies and all the help. We were actually just talking back to stage at Girl Talk about how you've actually chosen to still not hire a nanny because you do want to be involved, and you are still creating this incredible business while breastfeeding.
I can't tell you how many times I've been on a coaching call. Like, I'm coaching my staff. I'm talking to all the coaches that I'm. That I'm in charge of at our academy while I'm pumping, while I'm, you know, I mean, even I was facilitating a weekend this past weekend, training weekend, and pumping on the brakes and doing all the things and making sure that the milk got home to my little one. And so it was just really powerful to be able to live that, because I never understood that before. I mean, I never really understood what it means to be in the space of multitasking. And the version of myself prior to Baby when I thought that I could multitask is actually a cute version, because I'm like, okay, I fully now understand what it means to really stretch your plate and really live the distinction of both. And. And that's what I'm excited to teach as many women as possible, whether you're a mother or not, that you really understand what it means to stretch your plate, to learn how to move mountains that seem like there's no freaking way in hell you're gonna be able to move it. But then live beyond your means and live beyond your comfort zone, because that's where transformation occurs. That's where you live your purpose, and that's where the magic of your life is actually waiting for you. So the money, the magic, the joy, Joy, the expansiveness, all of it is on the other side of whatever is your biggest level of resistance. And if it's with money, if it's with asking for support, like, it's hard for you to ask for support. Like, just know that when you. When you build a team, when you. When you hire the right team, when you allow yourself to receive the support that you're worthy of like, that's when everything that you're up to goes to a whole other level.
So true, so accurate. And it's something that all of us, you know, we live in this world of digital overwhelm. You know, you've got your Instagram and your Facebook and your emails and multiple emails and all of these things that I find a lot of people are just going around putting out fires and running around in circles and not actually creating something. And it takes a certain level of awareness, a certain level of mindset mastery to realize, okay, what is the most important thing I need to do right now that will move the needle? And that is something that it really takes skill development. It really takes talking to people who've done it all. I sometimes catch myself, like, all of these emails I have to do, but what has actually changed the needle for me? It is writing my books, it is recording these podcasts, so figuring out systems of how I can make those things that I kind of have to do to run the business faster, easier, smoother, so I can do the things that are really what are going to make my message further out there.
I love that. And this is something I want to have everyone who is listening right now, who's thinking, like, gosh, well, how can I actually do it all? I want you to. To shift into. You know, you hear the saying, be, do, have. But the next level of transformation for your business, for your mission, for your empire that you're committed to building is be, delegate, have. So stop doing the stuff that you don't want to do. Stop doing the stuff that is sucking the joy out of your vision and your mission. Because when we are doing all the things like what you were talking about, Sahara, like, that's when we start to lose our joy. That's when we start to get burnt out. So what Sahara and Sarah Pendrick and I are committed to is establishing and building and creating an amazing container for women to feel supported, to know that they can have any question they will ever have about their vision answered in an instant, and also know that the value is endless. I mean, we're going to be doing in person meetups. I mean, we're having two over the course of six months. One in April, one in September. We're also going to have weekly coaching calls on Zoom, which no Mastermind does, by the way. Zero. Like, none I was telling about. I was talking about this with a guy friend of mine who runs a Mastermind. He's like, you're doing what? And he's like, seriously? And I'm like, yeah, we are providing so much value and it's going to change the game for everyone and we're establishing a whole new level of value and what's available. So I've been in so many masterminds where like you get one coaching call every like three months or something like that and it's just the value just wasn't there for me and I'm super clear about what did not work for me. And I know what does work and that's implementation, accountability and getting in the the reps. Because you can't go to an event and get excited then hope that you're going to actually put these things into practice. You need to have accountability and follow through. So that's what I love about this. And the vibration is just so amazing and so powerful. The women that we've already brought into our mastermind are just, they're ready to rock and roll and that's what I'm excited about.
I'm so excited. I've been messaging with them all day long and just so like, I get so inspired when I am around women who are ready to learn. They know that they are put on this planet for greater. They might not know the full detail of how it goes, but they're willing to learn. They're willing to say yes. They're willing to take that step and this is what creates an amazing mastermind. And this is why we have an application process and are selective because we want to curate that room of women who will go to bat for each other, who will go through each other's sales pages and emails and say, this is resonating with me, this isn't. Who will listen to you share your six month, one year, et cetera goals and check in with you to make sure that you are implementing that them frankly, there's no other mastermind out there like this, especially by three individual females who have their own complete personal brands that we have essentially created for ourselves, mastering our zones of genius. So, you know, joining a mastermind with one of us would be incredible. But like the three of us together, it's just like a whole other level of magic that the world ain't ready for yet.
Girl, I'm telling you, it is lit. It's like when I talk about it, I go, we're literally the triple threat, the three of us together. I can't even handle it. I mean, it's just because it's one thing to be, to be guided in a mastermind with one person, but the three of us coming together and Bringing our zones of genius together. I mean, everything is going to change for everyone, for every single woman who's a yes to this.
And it's like all of the connections we have. Like, for example, a girl who's in our mastermind, she works in the cannabis industry and I know the guy who's essentially putting together the biggest educational cannabis website that, like, will be out there. So I just connected them, you know, like, that isn't pot. Like, people don't realize that it's not just what you know, it's not just like what you Google and stuff in your head. It really is the connections you have. Because, you know, for example, every single person on this podcast is my friend in real life. Like, I don't take media pitches, I don't take publicists emailing me. I don't take dms. I take people who I know, who I've had an experience with, and those are the people that I want to share. And that only happens when you step out and you meet people. So if you're someone out there listening, like, you know, I'm all about it, but I feel like I don't know anyone who's on the similar mission. This mastermind is for you, girl.
I'm so excited. So let's talk about how, how women who do want to be a part of our inner circle, how they can ultimately experience that.
Yes. So we have a website that is up right now. We are taking applications. So if you're listening to this, it is still February and March. We invite you to apply. Otherwise, if it's later, you can probably apply for the next, next round that we run this though this time, that we run this, this first time is going to be the lowest rate that it ever is because you are our founding members and we are super excited for your success and transformation because you're really going to be paving the path for all of the future Empresses to come. So the website is together we empress.com empress with an E, like an Empress. You can find that link in the show notes. It has all the information there, all the details, who it's for, who it's not, for what, what you can expect, all of that, but don't get in your head around it. Don't. You know, I think a lot of times when we are afraid of up leveling, we like, we try to hold our ego, tries to hold onto what's familiar, what, what we're used to. And if these words have been resonating with you, I mean, if it's an hour in and if you're still listening to this and you're feeling like, okay, I want this to go another hour because this is hitting a chord somewhere in my heart, then this mastermind is free.
