602: How To Spiritually Grow Through Ease with Sahara Rose
13 May 2025 · 45 min
Sahara Rose explores how spiritual growth happens through ease rather than struggle. She discusses self-mothering, trusting your inner guidance, and learning from desires instead of fighting them. The episode includes a free meditation gift for listeners.
How is spirit creating the perfect lesson for you? Spirit always puts a desire within you, but it's about who you become in the process of that desire. And that, my friends, is the purpose of life. The way to grow through ease starts with more. Most of us have learned in life to only make shifts when our hand has been scorched on that hot plate that we're like, oh, I gotta let it go. But can you make a shift in your life when things are actually fine? And that is actually how you learn through ease. Spirit can't give you what you're not ready for because your hands are going to be filled with your old toys. We got to admit, the way that we have been showing up to this point has served us to this point, but will not serve us to what needs to happen next. Now, how do we do it with more ease? It's to let go. I'm the one I've been waiting for Let go. Trust flows. I'm the one I've been waiting for. Welcome back to the Highest Self podcast. My name is Sahara Rose, and on this podcast I love to talk about spirituality, the sacred, feminine, matters of the heart. But make it modern, fun, grounded and relatable so it can actually serve your needs. So, guys, this is the end of an era. This is my last solo cast that I am doing here in my home studio in LA before I take off on a journey into the unknown. So spirit really led me to close this chapter of living in this town where so many of my friends are. It's definitely my comfort zone here. I lived in LA for seven years before living in Miami for a little bit and traveling a bit and coming back. And it really came to me through sitting in silence. I did this thing called the Rose Dieta. So it was really sitting in silence and drinking a lot of rose tea and rose tinctures that it showed me that. That for me to really embody the next chapter of what I'm here to call in a chapter of expansion, a chapter of love, a chapter of being more global, being connected to sacred sites and mysteries and opening up to my next level, I needed to let go, you know, And I feel so often we're holding onto all these things in our life, right? It's like having all of our favorite toys in our hands and going to the toy store. And universe is like, you can have whatever you want here, but we're clutching onto all the old toys and our hands aren't open to receive. And, you know, a big question that I've gotten from people is how can I grow through ease? And it's that it's letting go before things get painfully uncomfortable and before we drop into this episode, be sure to hit subscribe wherever you're listening to this podcast that is the best way to stay up to date on the latest episodes. Now let's get into this one. So the thing is, most of us have learned in life to only make shifts in our lives when our hand has been scorched on that hot plate that we're like, oh, I gotta let it go. But can you make a shift in your life when things are actually fine, when there's nothing wrong with your life, but you can feel that maybe you need to shift the temperature to have a completely different recipe? And so a lot of us miss out on this opportunity to grow from a place of more ease. Now that does not mean that moving is ever easy. Changing your life is ever easy. Making big shifts in your life is ever completely easy, but it's doing so or it becomes a really big problem. So I invite you to look at the different areas of your life. Your home, your career, your relationships. And what are the areas of your life that you feel like you're ready for a reset, you're ready to hit that next level. And it doesn't necessarily mean it's broken, but it means something needs to shift, right? Maybe in your career you just become really stagnant. You're sort of doing the same thing every single day. It's like Groundhog Day. You need to shake shit up here. Maybe it's in your relationship, things are fine, but you've kind of hit a plateau in your depth and your intimacy. Maybe it's in your home life or your routine. You kind of are doing the same thing in your comfort zone, but you're ready for maybe changing your home decoration or living somewhere new. So what is that area for you? And how can you have a rebirth in that area from where you are? So how can you have a hard conversation? How can you first just be honest with yourself? You know, the predecessor to making any shift is honesty with ourselves. Most of us are lying to ourselves on a number of levels, right? Lying to ourselves around how we feel in relationships, lying to ourselves around fulfillment in our career, lying to ourselves around our potential. And we tell ourselves these lies. And it's not like a big lie, but it's like a, oh, yeah, everything's fine. Oh, yeah, that didn't hurt me. That didn't actually bother me. That wasn't really a thing. And it's these little lies that we tell ourselves that we do it because we're not ready to handle that thing right now. And eventually, when we sit with ourselves. This is why spiritual practice is talked about so much. It's not about getting good at meditating or getting amazing lung capacity for your breath work, but it's these moments. And by the way, the moment could be you reorganizing your closet and thinking. It could be you taking a walk and letting your mind wander. It could be you doing your dishes and really thinking through a situation in your life. I find we distract ourselves with social media, with even music and podcasts all the time. When in our lives do we have a chance to just be in silence, be in stillness, and let our thoughts wander? And when we let our thoughts wander, the truth starts to arise. And that truth is the ways that we have been lying to ourselves, the ways we have been minimizing our wants and our desires, the ways that we have not been ready to look at certain things in our lives. And now we are. So I invite you to take more time this week to just have a little bit more stillness with yourself. If every time you take a walk, you're sending voice notes to your friends, can you take a walk and not send voice notes to your friends and just listen to frequency music or nothing at all? Can you, when you're doing your dishes instead of listening to a YouTube video, just be with yourself and see what arises. Can you be on your yoga mat instead of following a yoga class? Just let your body move and let your mind wander. I have found the reason why we don't want to do this is because we're often afraid of what comes up. We're afraid of if I'm alone with myself and I'm not telling my mind what to focus on, then I'm going to go somewhere dark, right? I don't like the quality of thoughts in my head, so I would rather watch this TikTok video because at least it's something distracting. But the thing is, if we're always distracting and distracting and distracting ourselves. And look, I love a TikTok video, a book and a podcast as well. Here on one. But if all we do is crowd our consciousness with other people's thoughts, then we're not able to hear our own. So the way to have these epiphanies, these big life shifts before. Before things get uncomfortable. The way to grow through ease starts with more stillness and silence. I know. For the feminine is the last thing we want. We're like, please, just fill me up with music and song and dance and art and laughter and creativity. And, yes, there is a time and space for that. But how much time do you spend sitting in your consciousness? You know, I noticed for myself once I gave myself the challenge of, I'm just gonna eat dinner by myself with, like, no YouTube video on, no music on, not texting friends, just, like, eat in complete stillness. At first, I would be like. I kind of was, like, eating faster because I wanted to get it done, you know, I was like, oh, God, like, this is boring, you know? But then after a while, I would be like, really? On a date with myself. I would be like, hmm. What did. What did you think about that thing that happened the other day? Oh, wow. Like, that conversation? Yeah. We never got a chance to talk about that conversation. Let's say. Break that down. Oh, wow. Yeah, this. This thing that this person said. Let's, like, really discuss this. There. There was a lot there, I feel. So much happens in our lives. And by the way, more happens in our lives, like, scientifically, they've found this, or maybe historically, more happens in our lives in one year today than what used to happen in an entire lifespan in the 1800s. Like, if we were in the 1800s, it's like, you saw the parade go by. Highlight of your year, maybe highlight of your life. You know, like, you would tell your grandkids, I saw the parade go by, you know, Whereas now we're seeing so much crazy every single day, especially with social media, that we're like, in the Maldives and then in a war and then, like, in an elections, and then we're into this thing, and nothing all. All the time that we have just become so immune to subtlety. We are so gross in our experiences. Everything is so loud. And social media is a competition of the loudest. Right. The things that do best on social media are the things that are the most controversial. Why? Because people will comment on them the most. People comment on the most. The algorithm pushes them up. So we're actually in this, like, false reality where we think that this is what the world is like, but we're actually being pushed upon the most divisive Topics, political conversations, celebrity gossip. And we think that's what the world is like. But it's this algorithm that is pressing, like, pushing forward. It's not even the algorithm, it's us as humans, because the algorithm is a reflection of human consciousness. So the public tends to comment more if they are debating, if they are angry, if they're instigated. And that pushes up these kind of conversations and content. And then most of us who are just the consumers, who are not creating it and not commenting on it, but we're seeing it, and we're creating this warped perception of this is what the world is. And so it's feeding this echo chamber that we're all in, that the world is going to shit, that, you know, all relationships suck, that, you know, whatever celebrities happening with the celebrity is the most important thing. And so we're assuming that this is the norm because it's what we're seeing, right? So then when we're sitting in our silence, it's like, awfully loud in there because we're like, I'm falling behind. I'm falling behind in what's happening in the Zeitgeist. And there's this, like, biological impulse that we have as humans that we want to know what's happening in the community. Because historically, if we knew was happening in the community, then we were in the pulse. We knew if, you know, a neighboring tribe was going to come attack us. We knew if there was scarce resources, we knew if people didn't like us, they didn't want us in the tribe. So we always wanted to know what the community felt, especially as women. This is why women were more prone to gossip than men, right? The way that women often bond is through gossip, right? It's through sharing what we think about other people, what they think about us, et cetera. And it does come from this, like, survival mechanism. However, now we're tied up in the whole world's gossip, right? And so we're always feeling like we're behind. I didn't watch my friend's stories today. Oh, my God, they're going to think I'm a bad friend. Or maybe that's not even a conscious thought of ours. We're just like, I just. I like to keep up with my friends. I like to see what they're all doing. So I'm watching their stories. Well, I want them to know that I care about them and have to hurt them now. I have to respond to them. And it's like, these aren't really fulfilling friendships that we're Getting here and I'm sharing this all. And like, what does this have to do with growing through ease? These are the distractions, right? This is the reason why we have become so numb and immune to hearing. Our intuition that we need things oftentimes to get so loud and blunt and in our faces to make a shift. Because our attention and focus is going towards these kind of things, is going towards social media and keeping up with people and replying to everyone's texts and this and that. Now what's the solution to that? Well, I do feel periods of time of just stepping away from social media. Periods of time where you're not texting everyone back and forth all the time, being mindful of your text conversations. You know, maybe there are certain friends, you know, if you start texting back and forth with them, an hour of your time will be gone. But you don't have that hour right now. Can you instead say, hey, I really want to catch up with you. Let's talk on zoom, where you're actually able to see each other face to face and have that real human connection that we are so craving, right? We're craving intimacy, we're craving connection. But the easiest vehicle that we can get there is through texting someone back, liking their stories, seeing what they're doing. But that's not actually giving us the satiation that we're or craving, right? It's like cheap fast food connection. So step one is looking at the distractions that you have in your life. You know, for some people, the distractions are work. You know, I have found for myself of, like, sometimes when that pit of, you know, I feel, especially when you're a single woman or a single person, it's like you're alone a lot. And so when you're alone, that, like, sadness can come up. So you're like, let me just like, work, right? And throw my everything into my work. But then you're not actually sitting with the thing that you're avoiding. And the thing that you're avoiding might be the feeling of being alone. So when you are doing nothing, when you are just lying on your yoga mat staring at the ceiling, where do your thoughts go? You know, your immediate thoughts might be, what am I gonna eat for lunch tomorrow? Etc. But after that, where do they go? And that right there is your work. That right there is your next thing. So for me, a lot of times I've noticed myself, it would go around, like, practicing for a conversation I knew I needed to have, right? Like, I know I need to set this boundary with this person or share how I felt about this thing. But because that was so uncomfortable for me, because it was hard for me to have these harder conversations, I would, like, repeat them in my head again and again and again. Like, do you feel me? Have you ever done that? Repeat them in my head? Because I was, like, preparing and preparing. Then after a while, I just realized I'm like, the conversation with that person never actually goes how I prepared it for it. You know, it's never just that. And also, it's going to go on longer. It's not just one time saying thing, and I can't predict the direction it's going to go. So when I catch myself doing this, when I'm like, in my alone time and I'm like, I need to tell her how I felt about whatever, I'm like, sahara, I love that you really are thinking this through. But why don't you just show up in that moment and speak from your heart? You know, because at the end of the day, in communication, we just need to speak from our heart. But if we come planned with this, you know, presentation we want to give to someone, it's like, are we actually there? Are we present? And by the way, the conversation will never go as you. As you've planned. So I've noticed for a lot of us women, our work is around having those harder conversations. So do you see the through line here? We're distracting ourselves because we don't want to be alone. Because when we're alone, we have the discomfort of maybe having hard conversations or maybe making big shifts in our lives, maybe things in our lives not serving us, and we don't want to look at that. So it's easier for us to then distract ourselves. Right? But it's actually just this coping mechanism that we have to not sit with this uncomfortable thing. So, for example, as I'm moving, like, I would say, like, moving is one of the most confronting things you can do because you're going through your storage, you're going through all your old shit, you're going through cards people exes have written for you. You're going through outfits you wore that made you remember. It's emotional. It is a very emotional thing, you know, and so I was catching myself, like, wanting to just, like, distract and look. I think there are. There's a time and place for that as well. Like, I think sometimes, like, what I have actually started to do, like, I love obviously watching, like, spiritual YouTube videos, but I'm like, maybe let me just, like, watch some like female stand up comedy, right? So, like, I was doing that, the female standup comedy, but then that, like, unease in my belly was still there. And so I would really ask myself, I would be honest with myself, you know, what am I feeling right now? And I would go into that feeling of the feeling of uncertainty, the feeling of, I don't know where I'm going, what I'm doing, you know, the root chakra. Kind of feeling destabilized because I'm moving. A feeling of heartbreak, a feeling of, you know, like, like I'm not in a relationship. I thought I'd be in a relationship. And like that. And so by being honest with myself, right? And just like holding my heart and being like, I see you, I see you, Sahara. Like, I hear you, your feelings are validated. That just soothes so much of it down. Instead of running away from it to be like, what is this thing that when I'm packing, I'm feeling really anxious? Why? What is the underlying thoughts that are happening under the surface? It's these, okay, I feel you. I validate you. And then even speaking to my little girl self. So telling your little girl, you know, I know right now you're really scared. There's a lot up in the air. You're sleeping on a sofa. Like, you know, so much in your life is shifting. And I want you to know that I'm always going to have your back. I'm always going to be there for you, and I always have and I always will. And we're going on an adventure. You know, we're going on an adventure into the unknown. And we're going to do some amazing things. We're going to see some cool animals. You know, we can even go to an amusement park. What we think is like a romantic love is a true motherly love. Like what we really want is someone to just like hold us and tell us everything is going to be okay, right? We just want to like crawl on the couch and feel like warm and soft and safe. And so we think it's through another person that I can feel that or why don't I feel that with my partner? And he can't. It's us. It's an inside job, right? Even our physical mothers often cannot do that for us. But can we mother ourselves? Can we talk to the little girl within us that's scared, that's confused, that is going through a lot of shifts and I like to also then have my little girl self respond, you know, and she might be like a little bit not having it and that's okay. She might be like, I don't know, I don't know how this is gonna go. Like, you always make me move. And then having conversation with her, the adult part of you, the mother part of you being like, I know we've moved around a lot or I know we've shifted jobs a lot or I know we've thought certain people were gonna be it. But I'm, I've always been there and I always will be there. And you can trust in me and you can trust in my ability to hold you and really speaking to that girl in you that just wants to feel safe. Because the thing is, you are the one who, who has gotten yourself through your hardest days, you are the one who has picked yourself back up from the floor. You are the one that, you know, washed off the tears from your face and kept going. You are the one that has been there with you through all of your toughest time. And so it's time to honor yourself for that. You are the one you have been waiting for. The mother, the soulmate, the lover. It is all within you. These are all archetypes inside of you. And when you can recognize that, that I already have gone myself through my darkest days, I am the one who created this reality. Everything in my life that I love, I made this thing happen. No one else did. Then we can have more safety and trust within ourselves. We can now see through the evidence of our lives. Like, damn, I really did bring myself here. Wow. I really was the one who went from there to here. And so I can trust that I'm also that same part of me, that highest self within me that's always guiding me is going to bring me from here to over there. And I might not know what over there looks like. I might not know all of the pieces of the puzzle. And hey, maybe the destination that I have right now is not actually where I will end up. But the thing is that I've seen for my own life, and I know you have too. That spirit always puts a desire within you because it's who you become in the journey of that desire. The desire is kind of like this, like, dangling carrot, right? The money, the relationship, the home, the career. I want to be seen. I want whatever. The thing is, we all have these wants. And so much of life is focused on the pursuit of this desire, right? Because when we have a desire, it feels so good to be, like, striving and striving towards it because it gives us a sense of purpose and meaning and fulfillment. However, what we've noticed, and I'm sure you've noticed in your own life, is once you reach that desire, you start to then wonder. You're like, wait, this is it. I thought it was going to make me feel different. I thought I was going to, you know, finally feel loved or confident or whatever. The thing that you thought that this desire would make you feel. And then another desire is placed. Oh, actually what I really want is this thing. And then you go on that journey of that. Actually, what I really want is that thing. So it's never actually about the desire. The desire is the dangling carrot, but it's about who you become in the process of that desire. So my desire for Healing my health challenges and is what brought me on my spiritual journey. I did not have a desire to be spiritual in any way. Didn't even think about it. I wanted to bring my period back, heal my body, reverse the perimenopause I went through. When I was 21 years old, I wanted to be able to digest food. That was my focus, right. Get out of pain. And then the journey of needing to heal my digestion and my hormones brought me into the journey of the mind body connection, which brought me into the spiritual journey. And then I was like, oh, wow. Maybe my physical symptoms are a reflection of what's happening deeper within. And who am I as a soul? And, you know, what is my greater purpose? What is my dharma brought me on this completely other journey. And then this journey of what's my dharma, what's my purpose? Fueled me, fueled me, fueled me and brought me on this path of looking at my family conditioning, you know, looking at my ancestor wounds, looking at my money blocks, looking at what do I actually want to contribute to this world? Again, these weren't things I. I wasn't like, consciously like, yeah, let me, like, go into my inner child. No, I was like, how can I make money doing what I love? This is my problem. How can I make money doing what I love? Oh, I guess the thing that's holding me back is I've never seen my family do it. Oh, I guess it's also because no one in my lineage has done it. Oh, I guess that's also created limiting beliefs that I also can't do it. So now I gotta go into this, right? Then I really go into this and go into this. And, you know, eventually, not only did I bring my body back into optimal health, and then I found my purpose through sharing how I did that. And now I'm like, oh, my desire is to write a book about this. How do I write a book? Ping. Next desire. Putting my all into how do I write a book? How does one get a book deal? How do they even get problem? I need to now solve this. That journey led to my expression, led to needing to differentiate myself from my family and actually be disowned by them and be on my own, you know, led to living in India by myself in a two dollar a night hut, like, led to really going into my deepest fears, greater desire, deeper fears. And the journey went on. Now how do I create a podcast? Now how do I make money selling coaching online, Online courses online, group coaching online. Now how do I set up a membership? Now how do I, you know, next thing, next thing, next thing, right? These desires are always just guiding us, but it's never about the desire. It's about who we become. Now, how do we do it with more ease, more grace. It's to trust that it's not actually about the desire. Because when we hold on to the desire so tightly, then it feels like if this thing doesn't happen, all of my energy was wasted. Like, if I don't make six spheres, if I don't, whatever the thing is in our head, then I just spent all this energy for nothing. When we think like this, you know, I really want you to be conscious of the word if. If this does, then, if. Then this is conditional thinking. And lots of us have been trained to think like this. When we're thinking like this, it's like that zero sum game. It's like, I will only put in the work if guaranteed I will get to this. And the thing is, life is never a guarantee. Life never is. Wouldn't it be so easy if I told you if you just do steps one to ten, you will live a life of, you know, you're gonna be a millionaire, you're your dream relationship, you're gonna have your dream home, you're gonna have your dream friends, you're gonna do what you love every single day, just do these exact 10 steps, and guaranteed you'll be like, yeah, I'm in. Do you have a money back guarantee, though? And that's just not how life works. Everyone's path is unique and it's unchartered. And the truth is, you know, even this holding on to, I want to learn through ease. Like, I want you to even question that. I want you to think of some of the most incredible things in your life. Maybe it is your children, your career, ways that you have shifted and evolved, things you have overcome what you think about. Some of these things you're just proud of in your life now. What led to that thing happening? What was actually the catalyst that, like, made all of this possible? That thing was easy. Most likely not. The greatest blessings you have in your life have come from your greatest obstacles. Because nothing sends us through the path of learning and through the fire of evolution than something that feels so uncomfortable, even hurts us to remain the same. It's through my health challenges, family disowning, me, not having money, divorce, that I have become everything on the other side. I learned how to become healthy. I learned how to love myself. I learned how to heal my lineage. I learned the true meaning of love in this lifetime. So if I decided I don't want any of those things to happen. Those are things that do not sound fun. I only want to have ease. I would not have become this version of me today. And the very things I love most about myself would not be here. So why would I set myself up for a future knowing that everything I love about myself has come through me? Being forged in the fire. Why would I say, but from this point forward, I'm just gonna learn from ease, right? Don't want anything hard to happen. Even though I know the best things that have ever happened to me have always come from some of the worst things. Now, does this mean I'm calling in worse things? No, but it means that when they show up, and they will, that I'm no longer in resistance to them. And that is actually how you learn through ease. To not be in resistance to what is to not say, this shouldn't be happening. I should be past this. This is holding me back from living the life that I want to live. This is interfering on my path, but instead seeing the obstacle as the way. Imagine if Spirit set up this exact obstacle that you are in right now as the perfect lesson on your soul's unique curriculum to help you become who you're meant to become in this lifetime. Imagine if this situation was so perfectly tailored to you because it hit exactly your biggest fear and your deepest blind spot. And how do we know this? Because your lesson might not be anything for me, and my lesson might not be anything for you because we don't struggle with the same thing. That's why it's so easy to see with your friends. You're like, hey, girl, just stop getting backtracked with your ex. Like, problem solved. But she can't, because that's based on her blind spot. And for someone else, you could be like, hey, just share your voice online. It's really easy. But that's their blind spot. We all have our own, right? And so Source puts a spotlight, a magnifying glass on that very thing that we still need to embody and become. So how do we do it through ease. Well, it's going to show up in our lives regardless. But instead of resisting it, how can I surrender to it? How can I say, this is exactly where I'm meant to be right now? If I am single, I am meant to be single. This was designed for me to be single. The fact that I'm not in a relationship means on some level, I am not ready to be in relationship. Maybe there's still more I need to learn more. I need to become more shifts, I need to make deeper depths. I need to go in that I can only go in through myself. And maybe my partner is on their own journey as well. And if I'm in a relationship and it's really challenging right now, maybe this is exactly where I need to be because it's pinpointing my unique discomfort. Maybe I really love to be free and all parts of me just want to pack my bags and leave. And spirit is saying, no girl, you're going to stay. Or maybe I really want to lean in and just save him and fix him and like make him become the man he's meant to be. And spirit is saying, no girl, you can't do that at all. So how is spirit creating the perfect lesson for you? And how can I now energetically lean back into it instead of being like, why? I need to figure this out. I need to get over this so I can get to my desire. It's like, oh, okay, thank you so much. You've set this situation up as the very little knot I need to knead through to actually get to my desire. Because if I had my desire any sooner, this knot would have came to my desire and it would have diminished. And nothing's worse than getting your desire and having it be taken away. So isn't it better to not have the desire then be handed it to meet the love of your life and then he's gone. Because you weren't ready to be, you know, given the high paying job, but you weren't ready and you're fired to be given the stage. Just talk at but you weren't ready. And so it didn't go well and they don't want you to speak anymore. Isn't it better to not have it and prepare yourself? Everything in life is preparation. There are initiations, higher levels of depth, wisdom, embodiment, joy, love. Deeper initiations that we gotta go through and that doesn't change. We don't hit this never never land where it's like, no more initiations, only pure joy and ease. Because if you even try to create only pure joy and ease, that will just become numbness because we only learn through contrast. So I know a lot of the spiritual community is about like think positive thoughts, say positive things. That is like level one, right? That is like when you are thinking really shitty things all the time, that it's better for you to think positive thoughts and get into the vortex. And trust me, I love Abraham Hicks sometimes to that helps you when you're going from like complete like apathy, depression, numbness to realize that you can create your own reality. And through having fun, you'll. You'll see more possibilities. That is true. But as you get deeper into it, you're like, but I don't want to skip the hard stuff. I don't want to skip it because to have deeper depth in my relationship, I need to have the hard conversation to expand and reach more people. I need to go through the hate comments and the cancel culture stuff because how else am I going to share my voice to millions of people when I freak out if I get one hate comment? If I want to hold higher levels of abundance, do I know how to handle the $4,000 in my savings account right now? What's my relationship with money currently at the state? Spirit can't give you what you're not ready for because your hands are going to be filled with your old toys. So we got to let go. We got to let go of old beliefs, behaviors, habits. We got to admit that the way that we have been showing up to this point has served us to this point, but will not serve us to what needs to happen next. We have to realize that if we want bigger things in our lives, bigger things need to shift. We can't live on the conveyor belt and expect a magical life, right? Yes, miraculous moments can happen, but we also need to co create them. And we co create them by taking risks. We co create them by going into the unknown. We co create them by saying the vulnerable thing on our heart, even though we don't know how it's going to be received. We co create them by putting our voice online, even though people are going to laugh at us. We co create them by, you know, giving a pitch to a potential client, even though we're not even sure if we can do it. That is how we start to make a more magical life. And then when we're unattached to the desire, I'm doing this not so I can have the client or have the money or have the relationship. Yes, that would be nice. But who am I becoming in this? Like, damn, that's really where it's at, you know? And on my album My Body is an altar. You know, after my divorce I became an artist and the last song on it is maybe this love story is really about me. And that's it right there, that this love story is about you and who you become. It's so interesting because I hear from a lot of people, like some of my students at highest Self Institute. They asked me this week. They're like, what is it like that you've already. You're living your dharma and you're making money and you're sharing your voice and you're expressed and you travel. It's like, is it boring to have, like, no more problems? I'm like, girl, I've never met anyone in my life that doesn't have any more problems. You will never reach any point in your consciousness that it's like, no more obstacles. The difference is you start to dance with them. The difference is you realize they're not the thing that's holding you back. You're like, oh, let me lean into this even more. If this is happening for me, it is for me. And that's the thing. This universe is a freaking game. You know, in Sanskrit, they call it Maya, the play. It is a play being acted out because all of our beliefs are going to be reflected out in the play of reality. If I carry this belief of no one wants to hear what I have to say, I'm going to continue to cast characters that don't care about what I have to say. If I'm carrying this belief of there are no spiritual people where I live and I'm going to be all alone, I'm going to find all the people who are going to make that reality real. So this is the trick. It's to believe something before you have any evidence of it. You try to build as much evidence as you can, but ultimately, this thing that you want, it's never happened to you before. You haven't had the business yet. You haven't had the relationship. You haven't had that thing. But you can believe that it's possible. And you can believe that if you desire it, it is for you, while also not holding onto that thing so deeply. But knowing that that desire is a quest. It's a journey that your soul is signing up on because of who you're meant to become. So honoring that desire, stepping into the journey of that desire, and also knowing that that desire. It's a light post. It's a North Star, but the North Star, no matter where you go, it's like the North Star's shift ship. And they're always going to be an arm's length distance away. So know that you're never really going to get there of what you think it will be, but you're going to look back and be like, damn, look how far I came. And that's life. That's life right there. We think we're going to get somewhere that we're going to be at the eternal happiness, endless state of bliss, endless state of love. And these are all really good marketing points on a sales page. But ultimately that only happens when we accept the all, when we accept the duality, when we accept that every single human being is equal parts humbled, crying on the floor. And that is actually what sets up the foundation for those moments of bliss. You would not be able to feel those moments of bliss without feeling the universal pain of the heartbreak. You wouldn't be able to feel the joy without feeling the universal feeling of pain. You wouldn't be able to feel the love without the universal feeling of grief. So instead of, how is this happening? This isn't the right time. This isn't meant to happen right now. Can I lean into this? Because it is a great equalizer. It is. It humbles us. We're like, damn, every single human has felt this way. And that's what's so freaking crazy. It's like all of us have felt this way at some point in time. That pain, that grief, that anxiety, that longing, that loneliness. I think we've all felt the exact same emotions in. In the exact same depth, regardless of our unique situations, because that's what humanness is. And sometimes, you know, I catch myself going into these, like, existential crisises of, like, I don't get it. What's the point of it all? God. So, like, we just need to go through deeper pain each time. We got to go through deeper joy. And it's not that, but it's about. It's only pain when you're resistant to it, right? But when you romanticize it, when you see the art and the beauty in it all, it becomes a poem. It becomes that very thing that becomes the love song. It becomes that divine feminine yearning that you will one day miss. So whatever season and chapter you're in, can you find the beauty in that? Can you find the beauty in the longing for someone that no longer is? Can you find the beauty in the desiring something so deeply that you do not have? Because that is your fuel? That is the juice that is the very fertile soil that tends to the seeds of your desire. And that your desire becomes the North Star that guides you on the pathway of the journey of becoming. And that, my friends, is the purpose of life. So I wanted to share with you some contemplations I have been having right now. I feel as consciousness is increasing, we are reaching these deeper depths of what it means to be a human and alive and what are we doing this all for? And instead of distracting ourselves from it, I really love like let's dive in and be modern day philosophers and explore. So this is my last solo cast here.
