A Valuable CORE Principle YOU Should Adopt (for YOUR sake!)

Sandi L. Boucher shares a principle of personal power: your value is a gift you're born with and can't be taken away unless you surrender it. She explains how this belief helped her recover from domestic abuse and poverty, and why building this psychological core matters.

Foreign. Hi everybody, it's Sandy Boucher once again, Red Thunderbolt, woman of the loon clan. I'm a proud member of Seine River First Nation in Northern Ontario. And I'm here with this week's personal power message. Now, last week I introduced you to the first of 12 principles of personal power. These are rules, principles, guidelines that I live my life by. And these principles have allowed me to get myself out of some pre harrowing situations. I'm a 10 year domestic abuse survivor. I once knew poverty to an extent where I was selling furniture to feed my children. And now I have my amazing career. And last year, before the insanity of 2020 hit, a friend asked me like how I did it and I had to think about that. I sat down and I came up with these 12 rules that I now present to you as the 12 principles of personal power. And last week I introduced you to the first one. This idea that your value was gifted to you on the day you were born and that no one can take that away from you unless you give them the power to. Now, I was thinking this morning, this time of year, beginning of January, we've been in lockdown and separated from each other for a long time. Suffice to say, some of us are a little fluffier than we used to be. And of course, at this time of year when people are making resolutions or setting annual goals and targets, our health tends to be at the top of the list. People are now looking at different exercise programs, especially ones they can do from home. Although try ordering a treadmill right now. Hello. I wish you luck. One of the things that a lot of people consider, one of the things I've definitely learned along the way is the value of core training when you do exercise that strengthen that middle section of your body. What anyone who has ever done this has quickly discovered is that the stronger your core is, the easier it is to do everything. Not only does exercise make it easier to think, but with a strong core, lifting things is easier, moving things is easier, you're at less risk of hurting yourself. Core training is essential and so are these principles, because think of it. If you adopt them as your core principles like I have, imagine that at your core, without question, you believe that your value was handed to you on the day you were born and that no one can take it away from you. And during the course of your life, your work, your day, someone informs you they don't like you without a strong core, that could really hurt you, that could even damage your self esteem. But even if at Your core, You know that that opinion does not lessen your value, then you now have the po, the power to accept that it's just their opinion, and that's okay. They have the right to have that opinion. It doesn't lessen your value. With that as a core belief, you don't depend on validation from other people. You're not constantly looking for other people's opinions of you because you know your value. And guess what? The people that are watching you learn to recognize their value as well. So can you see how having this principle as your core principle helps make everything easier? Just like core exercise? I know once I stopped looking for validation in other people in other places, when I stopped giving them the power, my life changed. Because it's an awesome path to be on when you go into it every single day, knowing you're of value, you're needed here. Your voice is important. Your words are needed. And my friend, if you haven't figured it out yet, we do need you. You are of value. Your words are important. I believe in that, in my core. I believe in you. And I hope that you do, too. So there you have it. This week's video. I hope you're on my email list. I hope you're on my email list so that. Because every Monday I send out a message that reinforces the principle for that month. So this month we're going to be focusing on the fact that your value was gifted to you on the day you were born and that no one can take it away from you unless you give them the power to. So get on my list. If you haven't totally adopted that principle yet. Maybe if I add some more information in, you'll start realizing you need this in your core. Until next week. I love you. Talk to you soon. Bye. Bye.
