Hello, you absolutely amazing person, you. If it's your first time on my channel, welcome. Get comfy. I think you're gonna enjoy today's video. If you've been around for a while, the topic of today's video might be familiar to you. Just like puzzle pieces. I mention a lot in my videos. I've talked about the master detective before. I've eluded to the information that's in today's video. I didn't share it with you yet, but you definitely mention it. So I guess it's time to share it. If you're not familiar. My name is Andy Boucher. I'm Red Thunderbolt, woman of the Loon clan and a proud member of Seine River first nation in Treaty 3 territory in Northern Ontario. Nowadays, I'm focused on Indigenous Canadian reconciliation. But back before I started doing both sides of the feather, I was focused on Indigenous empowerment. The video I'm sharing today is part of the series of 15 videos from my video seminar, A Day that Changed Everything. These exercises are rooted in my Indigenous teachings and I believe they're going to empower you whether you're Indigenous or not. So let's jump into it. Let's talk about it.
Bonjour, Mishko Pocket. In addition to. Hi everybody, my name is Sandy Boucher. And welcome back to A Day that Changed Everything. Today we are on video number 12. Can you believe it? Video number 12. And before I say anything else, kudos. Like, seriously. And I know you're gonna minimize it. I know you're gonna think it's no big deal, but the truth be told, when you're a train me, when you're a speaker, when your entire mission is to get people to believe in themselves, I wish I could get people to commit to the level you have. The fact that you are still Here on video 12 tells me not only that you are on the right path, but that you are already carrying a healthy level of self respect because you're investing in yourself, in your future by watching these videos. And that you have that perseverance, you have that determination that you're going for the entire journey. You didn't just watch the first 20 minutes, you're still here. And that cannot be underestimated if you pick up no other skills. And I hope you pick up a ton of skills along your journey, but keep this one, keep that focus, keep that self respect, keep that determination, keep moving forward, because that what's going to get you where you want to go. Now, through the course of this entire video series, we have been Looking at the MECA life strategy. So M, E, C, A. First we started with the M, which was mental awareness. Really becoming aware of what we're saying to ourselves in our head. Truth be told, if you want to be a confident person who believes in themselves and enjoys their journey. Journey, you're not going to get there if you. The only thing you ever say to yourself is insults. But we can change that. We can fix that. And I'm actually going to be talking about that in a future video. But the M was all about becoming aware of what's going on in your head. Then we went on to E, which was another awareness, but this time environmental awareness. Becoming aware of what's going on around us. What is your partner saying to you? What are your parents saying to you? What are your colleagues and co workers and friends saying to you? Are they supporting you, encouraging you? Or have they given up on your dreams and would really appreciate it if you did the same? We have to be careful those influences. Then we moved into C, which people like the sea, because the sea is all about control. We looked at editing your life and did that exercise where I proved to you that that one sentence that someone uttered that cut you to a pore, you can edit that out and your spirit needs to see you write it down and rip it to shreds. And then we talked about the video game analogy, how literally you are holding the controller and decide which rooms you're going into and what level you're going to stay at. That is a perfect lead in to today's video because today we're talking about the A. And if all of the letters are important, but you're not going anywhere without the A. The A is action. You need to take action. If you learn everything and change nothing, nothing is going to change. So today we're gonna play a game. A game that I have been playing my entire life. A game taught to me by my mother, even though she didn't have the cute title I gave it. And I called the game Master Detective. And I actually even have a really cute image here. Hang on, I'll find it. Just a sec. There he is. Isn't he adorable? Every time I say the words Master Detective, I think of him. So we're gonna play the game today. What I'm gonna do is give you three different scenarios and I'm gonna ask you a question. So Master Detective is all about observing and learning, not sitting in judgment. It's never about judgment, but looking at what's happening and thinking what's going on now, if there's one thing in the house I grew up in, we were never allowed to ask the question, why me? My mom banned us from ever saying those words. And if she heard us say it, she would always look at us and just say, you're asking the wrong question. The question is, what is the lesson here? That's what we're doing today. I'm gonna give you some scenarios, and I'm gonna ask you, what do you think the lesson is? What do you think Creator's trying to tell you, remind you, give you a hint of. And here's a hint for me. Creator is never condemning you. He's not trying to point out to you that you're being an idiot. He's not trying to point out to you that you're being stupid. Because that's not Creator. That's not my idea of a deity. A loving entity, a loving parent. Kratter doesn't do that. But we have to look at these things and find the tools like we did in the video game. We need to pick up the keys so that we can make it to the end. Now, as always, you're going to need a pen and paper. So we're going to pause the video for a moment because that's what we do here in this video course. I'm going to give you a chance to go get some water, maybe a coffee, your pen and paper, and then we'll come back and start playing the game. But before I do that, how are you? You knew I had to ask. And I hope you just streamed into your laptop or phone or computer that you are awesome, because you absolutely are an amazing warrior embarking on a journey specific to you and only you, one that will motivate you and empower you to be everything you're meant to be. And being a master detective will help. Okay, so I'll see you in a few minutes. Go get your pen and paper. See you soon. Hello again. I have the three questions written down on these handy dandy file cards. Because the whole idea of this video course is to share with you the exact same information that I shared in live events for the last 11 years. I want to make sure that I ask you the exact same questions and give you the exact same scenarios to consider. So again, the question is, what is the lesson here? The first scenario? Imagine that on any given day, on this day that we're talking about, you are late for a really important meeting. And I'm not talking about a meeting that someone else is telling you. It's Important. It was important to you. Whether it was important to your finances or important to your relationship, important to your family, whatever the case may be. But circumstances happen and you ended up late for a really important meeting. So what I want you to do on your paper, write down number one, late for a really important meeting. And under it, take a few minutes and think, what is the lesson here? If I'm late for a really important meeting, what might Creator be trying to tell me? We're going to go through the three scenarios and then we're going to come back and I'm going to give you not only my answers, but answers that I've heard from the participants over the decade that I've been sharing this course. So I want you to pause the video. I don't want you to just listen to this video. It's so incredibly important for you to start practicing. Remember, we're talking action here. So take a minute. We're going to pause the video. I want you to think of being late for a really important meeting and write down what is the lesson here? What do you think the lesson could be? Let's just list it off. There's never only one thing it can be, could be a lot of things. So write it down and I'll see you in a few moments. Hello again. You are using your brand new skills and building wisdom, but amazing. Scenario number two. Now this happens a lot in the work world and of course during isolation. If you're watching this when isolation and the pandemic still going on. And a second to say kudos to all those amazing frontline workers that make this time possible for the rest of us. Just, just have to do that. I don't know, when you're watching this video, maybe the pandemic's all over and woot woot, we can celebrate that, whatever the time is. The second scenario I want you to consider now is that you end up with a horrible tummy ache after lunch. Ask number two, horrible tummy ache after lunch. What is the lesson here? What could Creator be trying to tell you Again? He's not calling you names, he's not coming down on you, but what do you think the lesson could be? Once again, we're going to pause the video, take the time, think it through, go pour yourself another coffee, take a sip of your coffee, whatever you need, think it through. If you have someone there with you, ask them, discuss it, have a great time coming up with the answers. And I'll see you in a few minutes for scenario three. Hello again. And we're back. As the Master Detective game continues, we have one more scenario I want you to consider. And this one happens a lot in real life. And I don't think enough people stop to ask themselves, what is the lesson here? What is Creator trying to tell me? The third scenario is that situation where you wake up in the morning and you just can't get out of bed. And I'm not talking about you're tired because you stayed up to 4am watching Netflix. I'm talking about discourage. You don't want to go to whatever job you have, or you don't want to do whatever's on your agenda for that day. You just, you don't want to get out of bed. You are not looking forward to whatever is coming next. In that moment when you feel that way, ask yourself, what is the lesson here? What is Creator trying to tell me? Again, I want you to pause the video and think it through. If someone's there with you, talk it out with them. Again, there's not only one answer. What do you think? And I'd be willing to bet the answers you come up with may be the answer for you. I'm going to give you some answers when we come back. But what's on your paper you should probably pay attention to? So again, we're going to pause the video one more time, write out your answers to the third scenario. You can't get out of bed in the morning. And when we come back, we're going to look at the answers for each one of the scenarios. See you in a few moments. And we're back. Hello again. I hope you enjoy playing master detective. Now let's see how good your detective skills are. The first scenario, you were late for a really important meeting. And I have worked with so many participants over the years, and this just keeps happening when they bring it to me and say, oh, my God, Sandy, I can't believe I did this. What's going on? The one that always comes to mind for me first is creators trying to highlight for you that you just have way too much on your plate. Truth be told, if you're late for something that you consider incredibly important. And again, that's the important part, that it's not someone else who thought it was important. It's important to you, and you're late for it. Maybe you just have way too much going on. Maybe you need to start saying know and loosen up your schedule a little bit because you just can't live that tight of a schedule. That stress, that high blood pressure. This is not worth your health. So please take that into mind. Now, the other thing that comes to mind often, I know so many young men and women who have young families. And I don't care how important it is if your baby's sick or they were crying, didn't want to let mommy or you're working, you know, taking care of working and taking care of an elderly parent or you have a large family or your partner needed you. There's a hundred reasons why you might have been late for that meeting. So if that's the case, a couple things for one, Krator's trying to highlight for you what your priorities are. That obviously you put your family above everything else. That is not a negative. I am never gonna fault you for being there for your children or your partner or your elderly parents. That that's the kind of world I want to live in. Having said that, there are important meetings we have to attend for the sake of ourselves and our family. So in this case, it might be Crater giving you a heads up that you need some supports in your life. You need someone else there that is going to you be able to get to that meeting on time. You are not a superhero, nor do you need to be. My mom would be the first to say, creator gave you eyes and a mouth and ears to communicate. Like that's. We're not meant to do it on our own. So please keep that in mind. The other thing is, again, maybe you're just exhausted too much on your plate and you just, just didn't leave yourself enough time because maybe you didn't have enough time. All of those things. This is your chance to take notice of this. Observe and learn. Notice it and learn from it and adjust. This is about action, remember? So there you have it. Your answers for question one or scenario one. The second scenario, tummy ache after lunch. Now, of course, this is going to be totally different if you're watching this during isolation, the pandemic, because you're probably eating lunch at home. But if for one, let's talk about life before the pandemic or hopefully after, when we're out there again and we're going back to work. Having lunch might be something you inhale at your desk. You might be going out for lunch, you might be eating with colleagues. Whatever the case may be, first and foremost, if you get a tummy ache after lunch, well, maybe you ate too fast again. Maybe you have so much on your plate and so much stress that you just inhaled the food and now your tummy's going, that wasn't a good idea. So keep that in mind. My mom used to say your brain is only one of the organs in the body. You gotta listen to them all. If your stomach's telling you, this is not working for me, listen before it becomes more serious and the body has to do something even scarier to get your attention. Keep that in mind. So one, maybe you ate too fast. Two, maybe you ate something you shouldn't have eaten. Like, like a really greasy burger or something. Like, I mean, we all love a treat every now and then, but your body, like, you wouldn't put crappy gas in your vehicle and expect it to run. We got to get better at taking care of the vehicle. That the worst part. We take care of our cars. We can go buy another car in five years. You only get one body. We gotta get better at taking care of it. So that's two. Maybe you ate too fast. Maybe you're eating the wrong food. Maybe you're stressed and your stomach is in knots because of whatever you're working on or whatever who you're working with or what's on your agenda next. Maybe you're totally stressed out about the meeting that's coming up. All of those things can just really make it hard to digest your food. Maybe you don't like the person you ate dinner with or ate lunch with. If you're totally stressed out and not getting along with your partner or your co worker or your friend, you need to resolve that. You can't hold it in because your body's not meant to hold that in. We have the ability to resolve these things. We need to get better at coming to our rescue and doing it. We need to take action, which is what this stage is all about. So all of those things are possibilities for why you might have a tummy ache at work. Maybe the food wasn't prepared properly, Maybe it's a heads up. Be careful of where you eat your food. Maybe your body's trying to tell you there's a food allergy involved. There are so many things, but it's called observe and learn. That's what Master Detective is all about. Be aware of what just happened. Ask yourself, what is the lesson here? And start getting better, figuring out the answers. I hope that made sense to you. By the way, how are you doing? Yes, I know. You're awesome. Scenario number three. This one's happened to me so many times in my life. I had so many jobs before I started my own business. And by the way, this is the longest job I've had. So I Now know I'm exactly where I should be. Can't get out in the morning. You just can't get out of bed in the morning and you're just, just dreading it. In my mind, and I take great pride in the fact that I have always noticed this and always listened to it. I observed and learned. If you hate the idea of going to wherever you were supposed to go, seeing whoever you're supposed to see, doing whatever you were supposed to do, that is a huge heads up that on the wrong path, that's probably not the job for you. That may not be the friend you should be hanging out with. That may not even be the partner that you should be with. And I'm very careful about saying that maybe this situation is something you should not be in. I mean, we all get totally stressed and avoidance is a huge thing if you don't want to get out of bed because you're avoiding dealing with something. Mecca Life strategy says you need to take action. You need to bring down this stress for your health and the health of your relationship. Get out of that bed. Go fix whatever you need to fix. Video game analogy. Here you've got the controller. You can't stay at this level, you can't stay in this room. That is not helping you with anything. Get to that next level. Tell that person what you need to say, tell them that whatever's happening isn't working for you and resolve it. But something isn't working. You know what? Life is too short to hate living any day of it. So take the steps if you're hurting and you're depressed and your healing will honor that time and do your grieving. Do your healing. Know that that too is going to end. But take the action you need. So there you have it, the three scenarios of being a Master Detective. And there is a homework assignment with this module. There's other scenarios that I want you to consider. So all you're going to do is download the little attachment, the little exercise sheet and fill it in. I highly suggest that if you have someone you can do this with, please do it because you can have the most amazing discussions if you share this with someone. I want to end off today by reminding you of a quote we've all heard. When the student is ready, the teacher will appear. That's why Master Detective works, because when you're observing and learning, you learn from absolutely everybody. I have learned valuable life lessons from a homeless person on a city street that I didn't even interact with. I saw from a distance. I have learned from elders, I have learned from children, I have learned from close friends, and I've learned from complete strangers. When the student is ready, the teachers will appear. And I pray that you are a student that is ready. I hope you enjoyed the Master Detective. Please make sure to do your exercise and from this point on, for the rest of the week and after practice being a master detective, do not sit in judgment, but observe and learn. Until next week. I hope you enjoyed that. I thought it was awesome. Just like you. Until next week. I love you. Talk to you soon. Bye Bye.
