Comfortably Trashed ... Just the Way I like It!

A short personal vlog by Sandi L Boucher in which she humorously describes and embraces living with clutter using the phrase “comfortably trashed.” She explains her philosophy that possessions should support life, not create stress, and welcomes friends into her modest, lived-in apartment. The video is colloquial, reflective, and lighthearted.

Hi, everybody. Sandy Boucher here, and welcome back to my world. I just had to do this quick video to share this latest revelation with you because, honestly, I spend a lot of my life racing around giggling at myself. And that's exactly what happened this morning. Once again, I'm wondering how observant you are. If you have absolutely nothing better to do today, go back and review my videos and look at the situation behind me. Do you see this corner of my desk here? This. This is actually a dishcloth. Welcome to my life and my home. As I was racing around this morning getting ready for one of my meetings and actually hightailing it down the hallway to the shower, I kind of got a glimpse of the dishes on the kitchen counter and the bed not made, some stuff going on in the living room. And I kind of thought to myself, you know what, Sandy? It's okay. Your apartment's not filthy. It's just comfortably trashed. And that's when I started giggling. That's my phrase for today. Comfortably trashed. It's not a health hazard. It's cluttered, not cleaned, or a little disorganized. But you know what? That's the way I live my life. And I honestly believe that all the assets I have are meant to support my life, not add stress to it. I've met people that pay ridiculous amounts of money for some fancy car, but they don't want to drive it anywhere because it'll add up the mileage on it or it'll reduce its value. And my mind always goes to. So then why do you own the car? I don't want some fancy furniture if it's gonna stress me out to pay the payment for it. And I never wanted furniture that I was gonna have to give my kids crap over jumping on because you know what? Honestly, my kids are worth more than the couch. So this is my life. I have an apartment. Anyone who knows me and loves me comes here and understands that. Yeah, it's prob. Not organized, but you're more than welcome to come in. And the coffee is always on. And if you're here to be with me, well, I'm here. I may have to move a blanket off the couch so we can sit down, but you're more than welcome anytime. And that's the way I enjoy living. So here it is, my comfortably trashed existence. I hope you find a place where you can be happy where. Where your assets are adding to your life, not adding to your stress. There's my thought for the day. Hope you're having an amazing day. Talk to you soon. Bye. Bye.
