Foreign. Hi, everybody, it's Sandy Boucher here once again. I'm Red Thunderbolt, woman of the Loon clan, a proud member of Seine river first nation in Northern Ontario. And I'm here to to expand one more time on the 4th of 12 principles of personal power. I'm just relaxing. I'm actually filming this on a Saturday. I just finished my workout, obviously, went and had a shower and got ready for the video. Because those of you who follow me on Facebook know this isn't how I look when I'm working out. And if you don't know what I mean, go find my Facebook Live that I did for the first time this week and you'll know what I mean. But anyways, this is about personal power and working out as part of that. I feel great when I do that, and I feel great when I follow these 12 principles. So once again, we're looking at principle number four. And just to remind you, here it is, one more time. Everything you need is inside you, but like a seed, your wisdom needs to be nurtured and fed. Feed it and it will grow along with your confidence. Now, if there's one comment I hear all the time from people, it's, wow, you're so confident. And honestly, like the principle says, yes, I am confident, but I'm confident in my wisdom. I'm confident in it because I have nurtured it for now, 57 years. But as always, this is the last video of the month. So we are talking about how do you pass those teachings on to someone you love, Your children or your grandchildren? Well, I know you've heard this before, but the easiest way is by adopting it yourself. You have to get in a habit of self reflection. Looking back on the day, looking back on the conversation, looking back on how you reacted in that situation and not beating yourself up, but looking at it as if you are looking at the actions of someone you love and support and you want to give them advice on how to have it go even better next time. Now, unfortunately, way too many people out there are going through life on autopilot. They're just reacting. My mom would call them leaves in the wind. Everyone else is in charge of what their day is like because they just react to outside forces. And in the middle of a pandemic, that's just not going to be good for your mental health. Remember, all your strength, everything you need is inside you. You wake up in the morning, take that deep breath. Thank you, Creator, for another day. From that point on, you decide what you're taking in what you're going to allow to affect you, how you're going to respond. Now one of the things I've always done, as anyone who follows my career knows, I write and if you follow my daily blog post, you know my blog is always a reflection on something. I'm thinking back over the day. So many people journal at the end of the day they think back, name five good things that happened today and five things that challenged me. We don't want to label them as bad. We got to get away from good and bad. But what challenged you and even more importantly, what did you learn from it? If the people you love see you practicing self reflection and by the way, that's where your wisdom is born. Every time you look back on something and you learn from it, you just increased your wisdom and your confidence. If someone you love is watching you. Because we all know our kids don't listen to what they say. They learn from what we do. If they see you reflecting, learning, if you ask them questions like what do you think? If they hear you asking yourself, so what did I think of that? That made me feel pretty good. I like that. I think I'm going. The compliment felt great. I'm glad that I didn't argue with it for once. I just said thank you. It felt good. Now I get to keep it with me instead of dismissing it. Try it like any new thing. It takes practice. It's gonna feel weird in the beginning. Walking felt weird in the beginning. Riding your tricycle felt weird in the beginning. But it's so incredibly worth it. Keep in mind I am a 10 year domestic abuse survivor. I'm a woman that had zero self confidence. At one point I even thought my kids would be better off with someone else. For a mom, that's sad and it's not true. It wasn't true then and it isn't true now. But I guarantee you I'm a lot better mom to my kids now than I ever was. Why? Because I never stopped building my wisdom. Remember, everything you need is inside you. But like a seed, your wisdom needs to be nurtured and fed. Feed it and it will grow along with your confidence. Now I'm gonna go back to enjoying my Saturday evening in lockdown. Maybe have a crazy old get together with my kitten. I don't know. What else are you gonna do? I hope you enjoyed the video. Don't forget to check out next week because I released the new principle for May principle number five and you should be on my email list. You should be on my email list. Go to my website and sign up. Because that way you get the videos and the backup text. Oh, did you see this? Stormy made an appearance for the first time in ages. Do you see how big he's getting? And he's still only four months old. And he loves my earrings, so this is very dangerous. There's Stormy. I guess he does want to hang out with me. Until next week. I love you. Talk to you soon. Bye. Bye. Say bye, Stormy. Say bye, Sa.
