Maybe they don't even do this anymore. But I remember almost having a panic attack in grade 11 because everyone started asking you, what are you going to do when you grow up? What are you going to do for your career? What are you going to do for the rest of your life? I started taking every quiz in the guidance office I could. I had no idea, but actually I did. Let's talk about it. Foreign. Hi everybody, it's Andy Boucher here once again. I'm Red Thunderbolt, woman of the Loon clan, a proud member of Saint River First Nation in Treaty 3 Territory in Northern Ontario. And I don't know if you ever do this, but do you ever look back on your younger self and what you were doing? Not in condemnation, not in judgment, but just to see what's going on? I did that recently and I was kind of blown away. Not gonna lie. Because even in the midst of that panic that I referred to in the opening, do you know what I was doing? I guess I was doing two things consistently. Constantly talking and writing. Think about my career now. I was talking and writing. In fact, I wish I still had my report cards. Mom had those. I'm not even sure what happened to those. I'm going to assume she got rid of them at some point when she downsized. Oh, the fire. Okay, that's probably what happened to those. But I remember. And every single one of my report cards says she talks too much to everyone. Every. A lot of young girls get that on their report cards. If you're strong and confident enough to have a voice, do not let anyone take it away from you. Those teachers are wrong. I now have a career because I talk and the writing. I was the 8 year old with the diary. I was the young woman with a journal. Writing has been how I made sense of my world. And now my. My blog post built my career. So do you. Do you. What have you always done? What did you naturally gravitate to? Did you like cooking? Did you like cleaning? Some people do. I don't relate to those people, but some people do. What is in your past? Did you used to write? Did you used to draw? Whatever you naturally gravitated to go back there because that's who you are when the noise of the world wasn't convincing you to be something else. I'm dying to hear who. What did you used to do? And are you still doing it? Send me an email or comment below. I read all the comments so I can't wait to hear. And I'm praying with everything in me that you didn't lose who you are or if you did, and I know I did for a while, that you're willing and able and excited to find you again. Until tomorrow. I have a great week of blog post some videos for you. As always, I love you. Take care. Bye Bye.
