A short YouTube monologue by Sandi L Boucher (Red Thunderbolt, Loon clan, Seine River First Nation) in which she states she is under no obligation to educate others but chooses to share her experience and knowledge for the sake of reconciliation. She critiques current approaches to Indigenous recruitment and retention, urges redirecting energy away from anti-Indigenous racism toward constructive action, and issues a direct call-to-action to viewers to learn, share, and support the work.

So here's the reality. I don't owe you anything. But I'm gonna give you a whole bunch for free. Let me explain what I mean. Let's talk about. Hi, everybody. My name is Sandy Boucher. I'm Red Thunderbolt, woman of the Loon clan, a proud member of Seine River first nation in Treaty 3 territory in Northern Ontario. And. And this week has been some kind of week for the last two videos. I shared with you some comments that got thrown my way because I dared to say that Indigenous retention isn't working and it's not all on our side of the feather. I dared to say that maybe if you keep doing the same thing over and over, you shouldn't expect better results. We apply that in every other industry except when it comes to Indigenous recruitment and retention. But the reality is, at the end of the day, I owe you absolutely nothing. Nowhere is it written that I have to explain to you what we need to fix this. Nowhere did anyone tell me I have to do this work, except I want to bring this country together. I want all of the energy that goes into anti Indigenous racism to be diverted to positive things and no, not racism against another group. I want all of the energy we put into negotiating and arguing and judging each other to be put to better use. So I take everything I have and put it into these videos in the hopes that you're going to watch it and learn from it and maybe even share it so more people can watch and learn. And I'm going to give it everything I've got every single day. Like I do in seminar or in my keynote speeches or in my books. Because Canada is worth it. Because if I could wave a magic wand. I'll talk more about that next week. I don't want my granddaughter to endure half any, any, any of what I've endured. Canada is better than this. Indigenous people are so much more than way too many think we are. So I don't owe you an education. I choose to share it so that together we can bring this country together. So I guess the question is, you with me? You're on my channel. I hope so. Subscribe Share let's do this. Please come. You know what? I've been doing this work for over 30 years. That's a lot of energy. Can do better. I believe in you and I pray to God you believe in me. Until next week. You enjoy your weekend and I'll talk to you soon. I love you. Take care. Bye. Bye.
