Lets talk about summer and why you need to get out there. Bonjour Mishko Pogganong, Kwei Nidir. Hello everybody. It's Sandy Boucher here once again. I'm Red Thunderbolt, woman of the Loon clan, a proud member of Seine River First Nation in Treaty 3 Territory in Northern Ontario. And today, just to end off this week in an amazing and strong way, wanted to share actually a teaching with you. So for those of us who have the honor and the privilege of sitting with our elders, we have heard them talk about winter as the time you go inside. And I think many people misinterpret that, especially if you're non indigenous as thinking it's 40 below out, of course you're going to stay inside your house. That's not it at all. Because traditionally, historically, yes, indigenous people were inside because it was cold, they were sitting around their campfires. They were either discussing with each other or contemplating on their own everything that had transpired in the summer and fall that had just ended. When they talk about going inside, what they're talking about is that refreshing reflection. That's where wisdom is born. That's where confidence is born. And it's a powerful time of year. And I hope that when winter does come around again, not for a long, long time, please, but when it does that you remember that and you take that time to reflect and build your wisdom. But we're not in winter time. June 21st just passed. We are now officially in summer and summer is the going out so season now. You go out to gather information, to build on your relationships, to learn and share with each other. You connect with other people to honor the relationships you have or to build new ones. You go to new places and experience new things. This is the time to get out there and experience all that Creator is trying to share with you. So as you go into this weekend, I hope you're not hiding in your apartment or house, not just going outside in your backyard, although that would be a step in the right direction. Go sit by a on a beach or buy some water or just on the green grass. Play in the grass with your fingers and see what kind of messages come to you. You may be surprised just how much Creator has to tell you. So get out there and enjoy this getting out season. I hope you enjoyed that. Leave your comments below. Full blog post is there. As always, I'll see you on Monday. Take care. I love you. Bye bye.
