Hello, you absolutely amazing member. And welcome to this next member only video. Today I want to focus on two little words that stop so many people. Two little words that are a barrier between them and their happiness, them and their definition of success, them and their career and their relationship. Let's talk about. I can't. Foreign. Edition of Cosmondo Dam. Hi, everybody. My name is Sandy Boucher. I'm Red. That you know this because you're a member on my channel. I'm Red Thunderbolt, woman of the Loon clan, a proud member of Same River first nation in Treaty 3 territory in Northern Ontario. And I'm feeling a little Muppet like today. Hope you don't mind. Thank God for my personality. Thank Creator for my personality. Because laughing is healing. You'll hear a lot of laughter in a First Nation community. And my goofy silliness allows me to deal with the realities that are being Indigenous in Canada. And today I mentioned the two words I can't. What that is is internalized oppression. When you grow up in an environment that tells you and sends these subtle messages every sing days since the day you were born, that Indigenous people can't do that, that they don't do that, that we don't want you doing that, that rapidly turns into I can't. I. I have had so many can'ts in my life. I went to college because I believed Indigenous people didn't go to university. That was for rich white kids. Don't bother arguing with how wrong that is. I know what's wrong now. I'm telling you what I believe. Then I'm telling you the extent of my internalized oppression and what I really want you to do today. If you're watching this and if you're Indigenous or no Indigenous people, like start recognizing the. The barriers that are erected around them. And it's not their fault. That's what the world taught them. That's what Canada taught them. But just because you think they can doesn't mean they believe they can. Which is why it's so important to have Indigenous mentors and friends and guides. Because we need to see people we can relate to to believe it. Which is why the whole Buffy St. Marie thing was such a disaster. Because it pulled the rug out underneath so many Indigenous people that actually believed. Holy crap. We can be successful. We can be loved. We can even be admired by non Indigenous people. We can be success and not impoverished only to find out it was a bunch of baloney. I believe all those things now because I am. But I believed it back then. Because I believe Buffy was one of us and she so wasn't. So the interesting part. When are you watching this? January 28th, when I was a kid. I'm going to backtrack for a sec here. When I was a kid and we only had cbc, we only had one channel. And I used to watch. I don't know, there seemed to be these commercials or maybe I was watching Hawaii 5. Oh, I don't know the original one. I am that old. White sand beaches. I saw white sand beaches. And I saw guys in loose shirts and white walking pants shorts walking down white sand beaches. And I wanted to walk down a white sand beach so bad. And I have, since I was like 8 years old, wanted that. And I assumed I couldn't. I can't do that. I assumed I couldn't because it would be way too expensive. Last year I decided, f this, I'm gonna do this. I called my travel agent and asked her, you know, do the quote. And I almost fell over when I saw the price because it was nowhere near the price I thought it was going to cost me. I can't. So you're watching this on January 28. On January 29, Matush is going to be on a white sand beach. We'll talk about that before the end of this video. The second one. Oh, I can't. Because of societal pressures and teachings. And this one doesn't just apply to indigenous. This applies to women. Men too. Good possibility. Men too. That it's impossible. Impossible to be happy single. That you must be miserable, you must need a partner. Whatever. I have been single a long time. I love my life. If I could find someone that added to my life rather than detracted from it. Absolutely. If I can find someone that didn't want me to give up my career, that would be amazing. We could go off on another show on that. But I know many men and women that are incredibly happy single. But how long did we say I can't. Next one. I've been in business for 15 years and I don't want to admit how many years I thought it would be physically impossible to bring in more than a hundred thousand dollars a year. That was like the top of the food chain. I passed that several years ago and it blew my mind when I did. So get out of your own way. Really start paying attention to what you tell yourself you can't do. And the last one is a total tie in to what's going to happen while I'm on that white sand beach. I was told that on YouTube it's about these short videos and it's these conversations and be entertaining or be in, you know, share information or whatever, be controversial, even that. There's no way you could just be pure educational and release a video course over a series of videos. Wrong answer. Because rather than racing to try to shoot a whole bunch of videos for you while I'm gone and the quality of the video suffering over the next three weeks, you will enjoy a day that changed everything. My very first seminar that was turned into a video course broken into 15 videos, which means it fits perfectly over the next three weeks. This is powerful stuff. This is. If you are not yet realizing how amazing you are, still don't have the self esteem and confidence that you should. This is the course for you. And guess what? If you go to my website, Cindy Boucher.com shop, you could buy this course for 150 bucks. Or you can bop into YouTube over the next three weeks. So I need to watch them every single day. They're numbered. Really easy. Get caught up on the weekend, whatever the case may be. But I am thrilled to release this to you because who says I can't? I'm gonna. Steve. Oh, snort. Oh my God. I'm so glad this is a member only video. I didn't sneeze though. I didn't want to sneeze on you. I hope you love the course. I hope you love it as much as my participants who have taken it over the years. Because I still have people telling me their lives changed because they took that course. Feel free to comment on the videos. I'm dying to know what you thought of them. I. I don't know how often I'll be checking, but I will eventually. So I'm gonna go prove to myself I can by going on this vacation and I hope by watching the course and paying attention to what you say. I can't do that. You can prove to yourself that you can do a lot of things that you thought you couldn't. Makes sense to me. I hope that made sense to you. I will see you when I am back from my vacation. I hope you love the course. Until next time. I love you. Take care. Bye Bye.
