Short personal video by Sandi L Boucher reflecting on her Monday productivity patterns. She describes Mondays as strong for planning, goal-setting, and creative envisioning but weak for action-oriented tasks; she notes her peak writing productivity is first thing in the morning (around 8am) and a mid-afternoon slump (~2pm) that she counters with gym time.

Hi everybody. Sandy Boucher here and welcome back to my world. It's Monday, and after 45 years, I am now coming to embrace the concept that Mondays will never be my most productive day. Now, to be fair to myself, it really depends what kind of things are on my to do list. Mondays, I find I am very in tune with planning, with envisioning the future and coming up with new goals and new concepts. I'm all over that on a Monday. But if my stay book requires action that I'm out running around and accomplishing things and taking things off the to do list, then it really feels like I'm treading uphill. Treading upstream, I guess would be the proper way of putting that. Now, I'm okay with that and I'm gonna do my best to adjust my day book accordingly. For example, years ago I realized that first thing in the morning is when my brain is the most alert and that's when I do my best writing. If I have to do a report for a meeting that I intended or a workshop that I facilitated, if I leave it till three or four o' clock in the afternoon, it's going to take me a couple hours to complete. But if I do it at 8am in the morning, half an hour tops. All of this led me to wondering if you know when your most productive times are. Are you most alert in the morning or in the evening? And are you working with that or fighting against it? I schedule my tush to be at the gym later in the day because I'm going to keep that valuable mental time in the morning for my writing and for my business. And in the afternoon when I get into that 2 o' clock lull and the brain just kind of goes south somewhere. Yeah, well, that's when I kick my tush to the gym. It's something you should think about and you should consider. You will be amazed at the increase in your own productivity. If you can work it in with your own personal spirit. Give it a thought. Thinking of you. Talk to you soon. Bye Bye.
