Foreign. Hi, everybody. Once again, I'm Sandy Bouget, Red Thunderbolt, woman of the Loon clan. I'm a proud member of Seine River First Nation in Northern Ontario. And I'm here with this week's personal power message. So for the month of January 2021, we are focused on the first of 12 Personal Power Principles. And the first one says that your value was gifted to you on the day you were born and that no one can take that away from you unless you give them the power to. So I want to continue with that, that format, that, that mission, that principle, this video. But as I was preparing to shoot this video, I was thinking about the words self esteem and self worth. And I realized there's positives and negatives to those terms and it comes down to the self part. So whether and what I mean by that, I will explain it to you so you can know what's going on in my head. Self worth and self esteem. First off, it's important to realize that means what you think of you. It comes from self, how much you believe you're worth, how much you believe in yourself, your self esteem. The problem is the negative side of this coin is that often because it's self worth and self esteem, people think it's their fault if they have low self esteem or low self worth. And that couldn't be further from the truth. Because we develop our self esteem and our self worth from what's happening in our environment. You got handed those crazy opinions of you, someone looked down on you, criticized you, condemned you, and that went into your suitcase and became your low self esteem. So I don't want to blame the victim here. I don't want you to think that your low self esteem is your fault. The positive side of the coin is the idea and the fact that your self esteem is within your control. You have the power to improve that self esteem and know it's not dependent on outside forces, which is what these 12 personal power principles are all about. You can change that. So I'm going to give you a hint as to how to do that today. First off, I'm wondering if you're a parent, and I know I've said this in videos before, you could probably go find the old one. But it's important, it's worth repeating. If you're not a parent, then think of some cute little munchkin that you adore, your neighbor's kid, or your niece or nephew, whatever the case may be. If I were to ask you how much that child is worth, what Would you say, and I mean in dollars and cents, how much is that child worth? And if you say 50 bucks, I'm gonna guess your answer was priceless or something like there is no amount there. You couldn't pay enough for this child. So that's great. That's awesome. That's accurate. Next question. At what age does that stop? Now when I ask this in live seminar, people get really upset and it's like that never stops. My son is 35. He's worth as much, if not more than the day he was born. Awesome. Accurate again. So they're priceless. It never ends. That only leaves one question. Then why did it for you? Because guess what? Even if you never heard from them, there was someone who realized you were priceless on the day you were born. If no one else, then Creator did. That's why he made you. And that's never going to end. No matter what anyone else says, no matter what you've done or haven't done, you are priceless. You are here for a reason. And you deserve to realize that. So let's get started on working on that. Selfworth and self esteem. They are within your control. If they're down in the basement, that's what someone else did to you. But you have the power to change that. Until next week. I love you. Talk to you soon. Bye bye.
