Hello again, you absolutely amazing person. You, Sandy Boucher here once again, Mishko Poconon Queen Addition to cost Mung Do Dam and today we are looking at step two of a day that changed everything. One of my original seminars that got turned into a video course that I am sharing over the next three weeks with you for free. Because I think this content is epic and needs to get out there. And if you know someone that's struggling with low self confidence, they have low self esteem, please share these videos with them. Or better yet, get them to subscribe to my channel so that they get them directly and get notified of when I'm releasing them. Today we're talking about step two and if you've been on my channel for any length of time, if you're new here, welcome. But if you've been on here for any length of time, you've heard me talk about my mom, you might have heard me reference my dad every now and then. Today we're looking at what I call my base teachings. This is the foundation of who I am and the work I do. And feel free to adopt these teachings as your own if it's going to help you stand stronger. I have no issue with you doing that. So let's jump into step two, the base teachings.
Let's talk about it now. In the last video, we talked about the four thank yous and I thanked you for taking this journey with me. I'm absolutely thrilled that you've decided to invest in yourself and to skill up so that the next time something crazy like a pandemic happens, you're prepared and you have the skills to be able to handle that challenge. I am thrilled that you're here and I hope that the four thank yous ready resonated with you and added to your journey. I know they always help me to ground myself. As I mentioned in the last video, I've had my share of challenges. 10 years of domestic abuse saw my life blown apart time and time again. The teachings that are contained in this course will help you through the darkest of days, help you to continue to believe in yourself no matter what's going on in the outside world. And that's why I'm thrilled that you've decided to take this journey with me now. Today I wanted to introduce you to my parents and I wish that I could do this in real life in person. I wish they were still here for you to meet. Because I really won 649 when I came to my parents. And if nothing else, at least I get to Share their teachings with you so that you can benefit from their existence as well. First off, I want to talk to you about my mom, and I'm just gonna flash up a picture of her here. That's my mommy, and I hope you enjoyed seeing her beautiful face. My mom was Anishinaabe Kwe, an Ojibwe female from Coucheqing First Nation. She was a proud member of Seine River First Nation, but our bloodline is the Coochitung First Nation in Northern Ontario. My mom was definitely the matriarch of our family, and she definitely ran our house, but she did it with laughter and love and hard work. She's one of those women that always had her sleeves rolled up because she was in the middle of something. Whether it was baking bread or preparing a meal or cleaning the home or knitting something. Knitting wool socks for dad, that's a whole other different story. But my mom was absolutely amazing, and she definitely came through her share of hard times. I think that's why it's so easy for me to stay positive, because I know what she went through, yet she lived her life with a smile on her face. She made that choice, and now at age 56, I'm making the exact same choice. There can be a pandemic going on up there, but in this home, I'm still smiling and I'm okay, and I'm thankful for that. Again, that's what I want to share with you so that you can do the exact same thing. Now, mom had three base teachings that she repeated over and over and over as often as she felt my brothers and I needed to hear them. So the first one, and she was adamant when she shared this one. She believed the Creator did not put us here to fail. Bottom line, that he was not sitting somewhere setting us up to fail. That if we were hurting or challenged, my mom believed it was because of the decisions we were making. When I asked her as a young girl to describe who Creator was, and she said, it's easy. Just think of the most loving parent you can imagine. He just wants you making good choices. He loves it when his children are happy, and he's upset and sad when we're upset and sad. So that image always stayed with me. Creator is not going to save us, but he is going to encourage and support us and help us to believe in ourselves so we can start making good choices and. And stop setting ourselves up to fail. Okay, so Creator's not out to get you. If you want to change your journey, you absolutely can. I'm living proof of that, and I totally believe this, so write that down. Creator did not put us here to fail. If you need to pause the video to do that, feel free to do that now. Her second teaching. This one took me a while to accept. She believed that if things were going to change, it was going to be up to me or to you. If you want your life to change, it's going to be up to you. Bottom line. Another way of putting it is there's no dude on the white horse that's going to come save you. And honestly, I bought the Cinderella story. I spent a lot of my life waiting for the dude on the white horse. I don't know where, if he turned left at Albuquerque or whatever he did, but I don't know if he got lost, ended up in a boat going to Europe. I don' where he is. But time and time again, I was the one that had to rescue me. I had to pull myself back up. I had to stand up again. And the best part, just like working out at the gym, you gain those muscles and after a while you stop being scared of falling because you realize you're pretty good at getting back up. So remember, if things are going to change, it's going to be up to you. And you're already making that change by watching this video. So again, kudos to you. Like, amazing. I'm not going to stop saying that because I totally believe that investing in you proves to the world that you believe you have value. And if you believe it, everyone else will start believing it. My mom used to always say, teach other people how to treat you. If you want them to be kind to you, be kind to you. Show them how. If you want them to respect you, respect yourself, show them how. This is a perfect example of that. You're deciding to level up because you're worth it. Other people are about to start realizing that too. Awesome third base teaching. And this is the one that was the hardest for me to accept. I was raised poor, in a beautiful, loving, caring, supportive home, but poor. And it took me forever to realize that it was okay to want more than that. It was okay to need more than that, but more importantly, that I deserved more than that. Poverty is not a situation anyone should find themselves in. And I'm not talking about being a millionaire and ripping everyone off to get it. That's not an option either. But we deserve to be comfortable. We deserve to live a life that doesn't require that we spend so much time and energy wondering about, are we going to be able to pay the Bills or buy food. No one deserves that. We got better things to be thinking about. I want you to know that for you and for your children, if you're struggling, you can get out of that. And if everyone you know is struggling, it doesn't mean that you think you're better than them. It just means you realize that you deserve better. So do they? Be the example. Show them how. Be the first if you need to be. But whatever you got to do, know that you don't deserve less than my mom would say. You know what? You're not better than anyone else. But you're not worse than anyone else either. We all deserve comfort. We all deserve to be free of worrying about food and shelter. So let's just get comfy with that. It's okay to want more. You deserve more. Now, my mom definitely ran the house, but my dad was in the building, too. So here's a picture of my dad to enjoy. Isn't he awesome? I love my dad. I lost my dad when I was only 17, so any chance to look back at his picture just thrills me to no end. Now, dad was definitely always there, working, building something. He was a woodworker, and he built anything mom wanted out of wood. Mom did most of the talking, but when dad spoke, it was always incredibly profound. Dad had one teaching that he repeated over and over and over again. I swear to God, he was saying this to us daily, or so it seemed. But now, looking back on my life, I am so absolutely thankful he did, because that teaching truly has allowed me to get to where I am now. My dad believed, and my dad would tell us over and over and over again, you can be anything you want to be if and only if you're willing to work hard enough to get it. Now, that's worth repeating. You can be anything you want to be if and only if you are willing to work hard enough to get it. Now, as I said, that teaching has resonated for me time and time again, reminding me to work harder. So what I've done is actually adjusted it a little bit because I think you need to be more than willing. If I had to say it now, and what I would say to my children is, you can be anything you want to be if and only if you work hard enough to get it. What I love the most about this teaching, in whichever form is dad reminded us every single day that it wasn't going to be easy, that people were going to say no to us, that people were going to tell us that we're not Smart enough or we won't be able to do it, or no one will will allow you to do that, right? That those imaginary people that hold you back from things, right? Or sometimes real people. But that's besides the point. You find your way around the rock. As we talked about in the last video, if you are willing to put in the work and if you haven't received it yet, work harder, do more, keep going. I'm now 11 years in business and I would not have got here if I only worked for three years and decided that's enough. It should work now. That's not how it works. Just keep going. So at this point in time, those are my base teachings, thanks to my amazing parents. Now I'm wondering, what are your base teachings? What did watching your parents teach you? I have a couple questions for you. So first off, first and foremost, do you believe you're meant to succeed? I wonder what your instant response was. I don't want to beat you up. If you said no, then that's a really important thing to acknowledge. Because if you believe that, then you're going to keep getting in your own way. There's absolutely no reason you can't succeed at whatever path you choose. And if you've been telling yourself you can't, you gotta quit telling yourself that. Because your spirit's listening and your spirit's gonna make true whatever you tell it. So start telling I can do this. Even if you only say it to yourself. You don't want other people to be teasing you, but say it to yourself. Start believing you can do this, and then watch how fast the universe lines up to be able to make it happen. So that's question number one. Question number two, what do you think of the other humans on this planet? Do you believe in your fellow humans? I've met people that think human beings are horrible, that they're out to get you, that they're going to destroy you, they're lying to you. And it's like, whoa. And then these same people are surprised, they're unhappy, and they never put two and two together. I believe in the potential of everyone. That's why I'm excited to do this course, because I don't even know who you are. But I believe in your potential. I believe sometimes that people get jaded by life. Sometimes they listen to the wrong people and start believing that they're less than or there's something wrong with them. And that couldn't be the furthest from the truth. I mean, creator designed you. Creator doesn't make Mistakes. You're different from other people. Absolutely. Because you need to be just like every puzzle piece is different. But you're needed. And you're beautiful and you're amazing. You're one of a kind. That combination of DNA and blood and cells and all of that stuff that make up you has never existed before and never will again. That's pretty amazing. So quit trying to be like someone else. Try to be the best you possible. So the question was, what do you think of those other people? Do you believe in the potential of human beings? Do you believe some are good, some are bad? Do you believe they're born that way or they turn out that way? What do you think of your fellow human beings? Now the next question. Do you believe in a higher power of some sort? God? Creator? Dr. Phil? Oprah? As I said in the last video, do you believe in a higher power? And if you do, is that higher power encouraging you or judging you? Now, there are some lines of teachings that believe that that higher power sits in judgment of you. And I never really understood why anyone would turn to a higher power like that. I just don't take part in judgment, Period. Judgment of other people. Creator doesn't judge me. He prays for me. And he hopes that I'll finally start honoring who I am. But I wonder, what do you believe? I guess the most important question is, do you believe you will succeed? Given enough time, given the opportunity, are you willing to keep working at it? Do you believe that if you want it, you will succeed? Because I know a lot of people that just tell themselves, well, I didn't really want it. And that's the excuse for giving up. If you don't give up, do you believe you will succeed? I hope you said yes. Your spirit needs to hear you say yes. Those are the questions for this week, and they are huge questions. As I said, I hope you take the time to answer them. I want to leave you with a quote, something that's in my first book, something that I wrote and have been sharing for well over a decade. You will forever be limited by the barriers you choose to defend. I see it all the time. I will meet someone and I tell them how amazing they are, that they could be an amazing motivational speaker one day. And they come back with, no, I couldn't because of this, this and that. And they don't realize they're defending their barriers. And as long as they do that, those things will stop them. You will forever be limited by the barriers you choose to defend. So how about today we stop defending our barriers, and we start defending our future and our chances instead. That makes sense to me. So my challenge to you is to start getting out of your own way. Quit telling yourself you're not going to do it. Start believing. Start saying. Start whispering. Maybe I can. That's when the change happens. Until next time. Remember, I believe in you. And I'm gonna do that right up until you start believing in you, too. Maybe by the end of this course. And truth be told, I'm gonna believe in you even when you do, too. And that's gonna be a day to celebrate. Until next time. I. I love you. Talk to you soon. Bye. Bye.
