The Power of Conscious Living! (vs. Auto Pilot)

A short inspirational monologue by Sandi L Boucher urging listeners to live consciously rather than on autopilot. She frames her central teaching—'everything happens for a reason'—and extends it: our actions should also have purpose. She gives personal examples (writing, videos, exercise, relationships, downtime), encourages honest self-reflection about motives, and invites listeners to change choices to improve their lives.

Hi, everybody. Sandy Boucher here, and welcome back to my world. I had the most amazing revelation this morning. A teaching, if you will. And honestly, with all the teachings I keep getting, it's amazing I have any room in my head or that I knew anything yesterday. But it is an ongoing process and obviously I am receptive to and in need of these teachings. Anyone who has been following me, listening to these videos, reading my daily inspirations over the years, has often heard me use the teaching that everything happens for a reason. And I like to say absolutely everything happens for a reason. But this morning I realized that there's another side to that teaching and that speaks loudly to to the way an Indian lives their life. The best way to describe it would be to say that we live a conscious life because everything we do is for a reason. As I was thinking on this concept this morning, I realized that there is very, very few things in my life that I do without purpose. These videos are meant to inspire the people that watch them. My writings are meant to assist people that weren't as lucky as I was, that weren't blessed to have an amazing mentor that passed on so many teachings like I did in my mother. I go to the gym because I want to honor my body and keep myself healthy and strong. I pursue my dreams because they make me happy. I talk to friends because I need that companionship. And I cherish my partner because that's a relationship worth cherishing when I do have a partner. And let's not go there, everything I do is for a reason. Even if I choose to spaz out on the TV for two hours, it's because I've made the conscious choice that I need downtime and I need to unwind and I need to stop thinking. What I'm suggesting today is for many people, they have to start thinking. So many people are on autopilot. They just go through every single day. And then one day they wake up and they're 85 years old. They wonder where their life went. Rather than being a slave to your emotions, think, use your brain, your God. God gave you a brain for a reason. Use it. In the words of my mother, nothing we do is without choice, whether it's conscious or unconscious choice. So if you don't like the way your life is going to think and change the choices you are making, it is that simple. Sometimes it's just realizing what we are doing. It is so easy just to say, you know what? I need a break. I'm going to go out for a drink with my friends. Tonight. Do you need the companionship of your friends? Or are you running away from something? You don't have to explain this to anyone. This is between you and your brain. And you know the honest answers. Once you allow yourself to come up with the honest answers, you can take steps towards a great solution. So today, my friend, accept the teaching that everything is for a reason. Whether it's what happens to you or what you do. Have a great day. I love you. Bye Bye.
