Good morning everybody. My name is Sandy Boucher and welcome back to my world. It is now 6am and I can honestly say this is the first time that I've recorded a video quite this early in the morning. But I'm well rested and anxious and looking forward to emceeing the second day of the Anishnabe Aske Nation Food Symposium today. And that's what I wanted to speak to you about today. The fact that I am well rested. I awake Alive and at 6am for many, many years I was a single mom and I can remember the superwoman days of my past when I stayed up just one more hour so I could get a little more laundry done, a little more housework done so I could just be prepared for the next day, whatever was on my incredibly long to do list. And looking back now, I realize how much in my life I robbed from myself and from my children by doing that. I literally went through years of my life half awake because I was exhausted. Absolutely exhausted. My quote today on Ms. Ann, or on Twitter, if you follow me on Twitter, is vow that I make to myself that today I nurture my body and my mind so I may be receptive to the gifts that the Creator throws my way. And I so know those words are true. Now it is only when I am well rested can I hear the beauty in my son's voice or in my daughter's intelligence and her amazing perspective on the world. It is only when I'm well rested do I notice how amazing this day looks or how beautiful the tree outside my apartment is. When I'm exhausted, I literally cannot see and cannot hear the gifts around me. So today I implore you, take some time. Get the rest you need. Because you may be very, very surprised to see how amazing your world is when you look at it through rested eyes. Have an amazing day. I hope you did get some sleep last night. And if you didn't make a vow to get some tonight, you deserve it. I know you do. Take care. Have an amazing day. Talk to you soon. Bye Bye.
