Foreign. Hi, everybody. It's Sandy Boucher here once again, and it's teaching Tuesday this week, teachings from our graduates. Now, I want you to think back for a second to all of those times we, and then our children moved on to a new level. Whether it was jk, into SK SK into grade one, when they had to switch schools to go into junior high, when they had to switch buildings to go into high school, when they finished high school and had to say goodbye to all of their friends and consider going on to post secondary, whether it was college, university, whether it was local, far away, Every single time we or our children went through one of those stages, it involved fear. We liked where we were. We liked the level we were at. We were comfortable. Yet as parents, we tell them, just go for it. You just keep doing it. It's going to be amazing. And we often disregard that fear. We tell our children to disregard the fear, but do we disregard it as adults? I know for many Anishinaabe people, and I'd be willing to bet a lot of other people, you're not the person you used to be. I know for me, there was a time in my life where alcohol basically ran the show. That's where the money went. Every activity involved alcohol. That was my life. And I still have friends that are in that world. But I graduated. And I have to remember that in no way does that make me better than them. But. But if I were to desperately hang on to that level, I could never achieve all I meant to. I could never level up in the same way that our children would never advance if they stayed in high school. I want you to consider that today. I want you to consider what you've given up on because you're scared to advance. And are you one of those people that are encouraging your kids to move on, yet you've never said the same thing to yourself. We have to be careful. We have to walk our walk and. And walk our talk and not just say the words, I want you to level up. I want you to become all you're meant to be. Never looking down on who you used to be or the people still at that level, but never stopping yourself from becoming all you were meant to be, either. It's time to level up, my friend. It's time to graduate, just like all those amazing students this year. If they can graduate in the middle of the pandemic, I think we can figure out a way to level up as well. Food for thought. Until next Tuesday. Be well, be safe. And remember, social distancing is the way to go. I love you. Talk to you soon. Bye. Bye.
