Sandi L Boucher uses a campfire metaphor to explain how an early win creates momentum toward bigger goals. She landed a contract that fell through but sparked her best sales month afterward. Find your first small milestone, she says, and it will convince you the rest is possible.

Hi, everybody. Sandy Boucher here, and welcome back to my world. I just had a thought come to me, and as always, I wanted to share it with you. And as always, I'm going to use a metaphor to explain what I mean. I'm wondering if you've ever been camping and ever attempted to start a campfire. You put in your kindling, and you put in maybe some dry birch bark, and you set up the little pyramid, and you try to get it going. And at some point, you see that first spark, and you know that you got it, that this is gonna work. Well, that's what I'm thinking about today, that first spark I'm in the middle of. Well, actually, it's just the beginning of my best sales month ever. I'm gonna reach sales goals this month that I didn't even believe possible, possible before. And I am so excited about that. And this morning, I was thinking back to when I first started scheduling things for this month. And that very first call, that very first contract that came in. And I can remember I called my daughter because I was so excited. I was living my dream, and it was amazing. And it wasn't until this morning that I realized that initial contract never came to pass. It didn't happen. But it was the spark that had me believing I could do this. And once that spark, that fire was lit, the sky was the limit. I just kept going and going, and the calls just kept coming in. And I just kept getting out there and meeting people. And now, like I said, I'm enjoying my best month ever. And that led me to thoughts of you and wondering, what is your spark? What is your goal? Are you trying to achieve certain sales this month? Is your department or your company trying to achieve certain goals? Are you trying to achieve personal goals? Maybe it's weight loss. Maybe it's how many days you can go without a cigarette. Whatever it is, what is the spark you need to make you realize you can do this? Maybe you want to quit smoking for the rest of your life, but if you could just get in seven days, you know you could do it. Or if you could just get in one month. When I quit smoking, it was six months. That was my spark. I had quit smoking for five months several times in the past. I had never made it to six. Of course, when I actually made the decision to quit smoking and not just thought about it or gonna try to quit smoking, it was totally different. I quit smoking and walked away the day I did it and never went back. Now I find it hard to believe I ever did. Find your spark. Think about it. As always. Analyze. Look at it. What do you need to believe you can do this? Then that's the first goal you need to work on. Have an amazing day. I'm insanely busy as always. And I wouldn't change that for anything. Talk to you soon. Bye Bye.
