Sandi L Boucher records a short YouTube monologue reflecting on a recent mistake after her book launch and business growth. She describes having rescheduled an event but failing to notify one important person, immediately taking full responsibility, apologizing, and recognizing the need to implement formal systems (drawing on prior experience as an executive director of an employment and training agency) to prevent similar errors. She frames mistakes as lessons and urges viewers to adjust their processes when things fall apart.

Hi everybody. Sandy Boucher here and welcome back to my world. It's been insane in my world of late. And that's why you're not getting daily videos anymore. Because since the book launch my business has just taken off and I am so not complaining. The effect it is having on people, the opportunity I have to change lives is exactly why I did it. And Chima Greece to all of you out there for supporting me. But in the middle of the insanity, I got a teaching this morning. A lesson loud and clear. I will be willing to admit I dropped the ball. I had to reschedule an event earlier this week and there were key people I had to contact to inform of that. And one very important person didn't receive notification. And I discovered that this morning and two things happened instantaneously when that happened. First off, I took complete and total responsibility for the fact that I dropped the ball. Emailed him back with a sincere apology. I didn't look for excuses and there was no one else to blame. It was my responsibility and I have big shoulders. I have no issue with that. So that was one. The second thing I did was realize that this was a lesson. This was the slap upside the head that I needed to help me realize that the way I was doing things right now is not working. In the past, when I was the executive director of an employment and training agency in my past career, I had certain systems and processes that I used to ensure that nothing fell through the cracks. This morning's events made me realize that my company, my business and my life deserve that same kind of attention to detail. There is no point in me beating myself up. There is a need for me to change things so that it doesn't happen again. I hope if anything falls apart in your world today, if you drop the ball, that you realize that it's a lesson and that it's a heads up to change things, adjust how you're doing things so that everything runs smoothly in your world. I'm busy doing exactly that. I hope you can say the same. I love you. Bye bye.
