Sandi L Boucher (Red Thunderbolt, Loon clan, Seine River First Nation) speaks in a short YouTube video using the harvest season as a metaphor for personal growth. She asks viewers to evaluate what they "harvested" this year (skills, relationships, attitudes), avoid shame, and intentionally choose what to cultivate next, ending with a call to comment, subscribe, and share.

It's harvest season. But I have a question. What did you harvest this year? Maybe we should talk about it. Hi, everybody. My name is Sandy Boucher. I'm Red Thunderbolt, woman of the Loon clan, a proud member of Seine River first nation in Treaty 3 territory in Northern Ontario. And today I want to talk about your harvest. So we tend to look back over the year past or more to the year coming on New Year's Eve. But it's harvest season and all of the farmers are bringing in their amazing crops and they're able to see what they were able to harvest. So that got me thinking about what I was able to harvest. What have I built in the last year? Did I have. Do I have more friends now or less? Did I build my wisdom and my confidence or my cynicism? Did I build my coping mechanisms or my anger and frustration? It's not about what happens to you, remember. It's about what you do with what happens to you. You. So what did you grow? And I guess even more importantly, are you happy with your answer? So anyone who's followed my work knows I'm not into shame or guilt. I am never advocating for you to beat yourself up. If you don't like what you built in the last year, if you don't like your harvest, well, here's the heads up. The light just came on. Here's your chance to start working to grow another crop next year, to harvest something totally different. So how about instead focus on your confidence, your wisdom, your education, your experiences. Maybe you want to meet new people or go to new places. Whatever it is, decide what you want to build so it's not an accident. Don't be the leaf in the wind. As my mom would say, don't let circumstances blow you around. This is your life. At the end of it, I hope you can say that you love what you harvested. I hope that makes sense. Let me know your thoughts below. Do not forget to subscribe. I need to get to those thousand people. Share this with friends, please. Then they could subscribe. That would be awesome. Until tomorrow. I love you. Take care. Bye Bye.
