Change Worship - Fire Night On Fire

The video captures a live worship service led by a worship leader (Speaker A) and a pastor/teacher (Speaker B). The service opens with high‑energy, call‑and‑response worship songs proclaiming victory in Jesus, freedom from shame, and God’s power. Throughout the service the congregation is urged to clap, raise hands, and declare God’s name. The pastor shares a personal revelation about a “legacy run,” urging the church to be remembered for this season’s work and to go “all‑in” spiritually. He then teaches on biblical stewardship, distinguishing it from legalistic tithing, and warns against a prosperity‑theology mindset. Using the biblical story of Gideon, he introduces the concept of a “quantum leap” – a rapid, non‑incremental spiritual and personal growth – and outlines three areas needed for such leaps: cognition (mindset), company (relationships), and conversation (self‑talk). He calls the congregation to a fast from negative self‑talk, to practice confession rooted in Scripture, and to pursue God‑centered relationships. The service includes multiple announcements: upcoming baptisms, a Dream Team Summit, regional meetings, a new series called “Cheat Code,” and various dates for events in January and February. The overall tone is exuberant, persuasive, and motivational, aiming to inspire worship, commitment, and practical spiritual growth.

Come on, let's go! Come on, clap those hands if you know we got this victory tonight! Come on, shake yourself! God is on our side. He is overcoming. He is overcoming. We will not be shaken. We will not be moved. Jesus, you are here. Come on. So carry in our burdens, cover in our shame. He is overcoming. He is overcoming. We will not be shaken. We will not be moved. Jesus, Jesus, you are here. Come on, take down the burden and say, and I will live, I will not die. Resurrection power alive, alive in me, and I am free in Jesus. Come on, everybody, come on, sing! We got the victory in Jesus. To carry in our burdens, covering our shame. He has overcome. He has overcome. We will not be shaken. We will not be moved. Jesus, Jesus, you are here. Because of you, I will live. I will not die. The resurrection power of God has been given. And I am free in Jesus' name. I will live, I will live, I will not die. I will declare your deep love and lift you high. I shall be set free in Jesus' name. Come on, church! Everybody clap your hands like you're set free! Come on, we'll get it again this time. Now we have victory in the Name of Jesus. God is fighting for us, pushing back the darkness and lighting up the Kingdom. Here we go. Say, God is fighting for us, pushing back the darkness, lighting up the Kingdom that cannot be shaken. In the Name of Jesus, and I'll be defeated. And he will. So I will, I will live. I will not die. You raise him to life. And I am free in Jesus' name. Come on, you want to declare? Then I will sing. I will live. I will not die. I see victory. What do you say? Say God is fighting for us, pushing back the darkness, blinding up defeat. You cannot be shaken in the name of Jesus. In the name of Jesus. And we will shout it out, shout it out. Say God is running, God is running for us, pushing back the darkness, blinding up defeat. Lighting up the kingdom, hey! In the name of Jesus, in the peace of the King, I'm here! Shout it out!
In the name of Jesus, hey!
God is fighting for us, pushing back the darkness, lighting up the kingdom, casting out the shame. In the name of Jesus, in the peace of the King, I'm here! Shout it out! Shout it out! God is, God is fighting for us! He's fighting for us. He's pushing back the dark. Not even the king. Hey! In the name of Jesus, we will be defeated. Once more, say it out loud. God is fighting for us. Pushing back the dark. Not even the king. Not even the enemy can beat us. Enemy defeated. I will shout it out, shout it out. We will shout it out. Come on, it's in that name. It's in that name. Is anybody grateful for the name of Jesus? I said, is anybody grateful for the name of Jesus? The Bible says that his name is a strong tower that the righteous can run to. Father, we run to your name tonight. We lift up your name Tonight, we're grateful for your name tonight, Jesus. Somebody shout his name! And he's calling us tonight. Somebody lift those hands. He's calling us tonight. He's calling us out of those low places, out of those dark places. Let's go. Cause I was buried beneath. My shame, and who could care to read that kind of way? It was my time. Thank you, God. Till I met you. Come on, let's raise it together. Say I was breathing. I was breathing, but not alive. Yeah, all my failures, all my failures I tried to hide.
Come on, somebody raise it with us.
It was my fault, it was my fault. Hey, till I met you, till I met you. I need you to raise it, change. You called my name, you called my name, and I came running, I came running out of that grave. Let's go! Out of the darkness, out of the darkness, into your glory. To your glorious day. What a day, what a day. You called my name. You called my name. I came running. I ran out of that grave. Out of the darkness. Out of the darkness. Into your glorious day. Into your glorious day. Everybody clap your hands. Anybody grateful that he called you? Let's declare now your mercy. Now your mercy. He has saved my soul. And your freedom, your freedom is all that I know. This is what I love about him. The old me killed the old me. When can it happen? When I'm ready. I need you to raise and change. You called my name. You called my name. And I came. Out of the darkness into your glorious day. Hey, what a day, what a day you called my name. Anybody grateful he called you? Out of the darkness into your glorious day. Out of the darkness into your glorious day. Listen! I'm living in the light now. I'm living in the light now. I'm living in the light now. I'm living in the light now. You say, I'm living in the light now. I'm living in the light now. I'm living in the light. I'm living in the light now. I'm living in the light now. I needed a rescue. My sin was heavy, but chains break. At the weight of your glory, I needed shelter. I was an orphan.
Now you've called me a citizen of heaven.
When I was broken, you were my healing, and your love is the heaven I'm dreaming. I have a feeling. My eyes are open. The way you taught my brain. I ran out of that grave. Out of the darkness. Into your glorious day. Into your glorious day. You called my name. You called my name. And I'm grateful. And I ran out of that grave. Out of the darkness. Out of the darkness. Into your glorious day. Yes, God. If you know he called you, I need you to jump. Two, three, let's go! I'm living in the light now. I'm living in the light now. I'm living in the light now. I'm living in the light now. You say, "I'm living in the light now. I'm living in the light now." I'm living in it. I'm living in the light now. When the sun sets free, it's free. Hey! Who the Son sets free is free indeed. I'm living in the light now. I'm living in the light now. I'm living in the light now. I'm living in the light now. He called my name. He called my name. And I came running. And I came running. I'm living in the light now. I'm living in the light now. Hey! I'm living in the light now. Whom the Son sets free is free indeed. Whom the Son sets free is free indeed. Hey, oh, I'm living in the light now. Listen. I am free. Praise the Lord, I'm free. I am free. I'm living in the light now. Thank you, Jesus. Praise the Lord. Everybody give Jesus the praise. Hey, hey, yeah, yeah. 'Cause when the Son sets free, it's free indeed. Say it. When the Son sets free, it's free indeed. Tell your neighbor, tell somebody. When the Son sets free, it's free indeed. I want you to believe it till I say it. Who the Son sets free is free indeed. Father, we praise You for that truth. Who the Son sets free is free indeed. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Who the Son sets free is free indeed. I believe, I believe. Who the Son sets free is free indeed. Who the Son sets free is truly free indeed. Lift those hands all over this room and praise Him for freedom. We have victory in Jesus. I said we have victory in Jesus. Hallelujah, hallelujah. Hey, I'm living in the love. I'm living in the love. I'm living in the love. You called me, 'cause you called my name, and I ran out of that grave. You called my name, and I ran out of that grave. Did he call you? Come on, tell him. Say, you called my name. And I ran out of that grave, out of the darkness into your glorious day. I should have been dead by now, but I'm grateful you called my name and I came. I was in a low place, I was in a low place, oh, but Yes, Lord. You saw the best in me. You saw the best in me when everyone else saw the worst. You saw the best in me. You kept calling me. You called my name and I ran out of that grave. I need you to open up your mouth and release a sound of freedom. I'm talking to people who know how it feels to be bound, but you also know how it feels to be set free. And maybe you're watching tonight and you're like, Todd, I'm still bound by some stuff, but I need you to praise him with faith that tonight is the night that every chain is broken, that tonight the scales fall Off of your eyes. That tonight deliverance will be the fruit of your worship. Praise of your voice. Thank you, Lord. Yes, thank you. I hear you calling me. Can't say come up. Thank you, Lord. I hear you calling me. I hear you calling me. I need God, and I'm responding tonight because I hear you calling me, and I say yes, God, because I hear you calling. You're calling me deeper. I hear, I hear you calling me. I hear you calling me. And my answer will be yes. And my answer will be yes. I'm still hurting, but ain't my And my answer will be. I don't have all of the answers yet, but— And my answer will be. I still feel the pain, but God— And my answer will be. I don't know how you're gonna do it, but— And my answer will be. I trust you, I trust you. And my answer will be. The answer will be yes, Lord. Yes. I feel the power of Jesus in this room. I feel the power of Jesus in this room. I feel the power of Jesus in this room.
Yes, Lord.
This will be my response tonight. You have my yes. My answer will be yes. Even from a low place, it will be yes every day of my life. Amen. And so it will be yes. Every hand lifted. Lord, yes. Come on, every voice say, "You Lord, You Lord, You are worthy." Come on, can we sing to Jesus? And no one, no one can worship You for me, for all the things. All the things You've done for me. Somebody raise it. And no one can worship You for me.
Change.
I need you to turn the volume up on your worship right here.
Come on, raise it.
Here's my worship, all of my worship. Receive it. Receive my worship. All of my, all of my worship. We give it to you. We give it to you, God. Here's my worship. All of my worship. We pour it on you today. Receive my worship. All of my, all of my worship. Come on, let's. Praise Him again, every voice, come on. Say, you, Lord, you, Lord, you are worthy. You're worthy above the glory. And no one, nobody— I refuse to let a rock cry out for me. He's been so good to me. For all of the things you've done. Make way of the way, open door of the door for me. So no one ever shall— Y'all ready to worship the King of Kings? Come on, raise it! Say, here it is, here's my worship, all of my, all of my worship. Father, receive, receive my worship, all of my, all of my worship. We give it to you. Here it is. All of my worship. We quiet on your feet today, God. Say all of my. Come on, lift those hands. Here it is. My worship. All of my worship. Here's my worship. All of my worship. We give it to you. We give it to you, God. All of my worship. Father, you deserve it, so we freely give it today. All of it's yours. It's yours. Here it is. All of my. Here it is. Come on, and I will. Come on. This is our posture tonight, God. As long as I'm breathing, that's the prerequisite tonight, is to have breath in your lungs, and you should open up your mouth, give him the glory. Come on, change it, raise it. And I will. Come on now. Oh God, I feel your glory. I will always worship you. You've been too good for me to be quiet. So as long as I'm breathing, as long as I am breathing, I will. I will, I will always worship you. One more time. And I will, and I will, I will make these— but as long as I'm breathing, I will give you the glory, I will give you the glory. As long as I am breathing, and I'm breathing, I got breath in my lungs, so I'll pour it on you tonight. Hey, I need you to raise it wherever you are. Say, here it is, here's my word. Father, here it is. Receive my worship. All of my worship. We give it to you. We give it to you. Here it is. All of my worship. It's yours. It's yours, God. All of my worship. And I will, and I will not be silent. I will always worship you as long as I am breathing. Come on! I will. I need you to raise it one more time. As long as, as long as I am breathing, I will always worship. Father, we pouring on you today. I will, I will worship you. So here's my worship. All of my worship. It may not be much to you, but it's my worship. All of my worship. Here's my worship. All of my worship. Receive my All of our work. One more, one more. Say, here it is. All of our work. Here it is. All of my worship. 'Cause to worship you I live, to worship you I live, I live to worship you.
Come on, church, let's lift it up.
To worship you I live, to worship you I live, to worship you I live, I live. To worship you.
Is that anybody's testimony tonight?
To worship you, I live. To worship you. To worship you, I live. You're the reason I'm alive. To worship you, I live. I live to worship you. It's in you, Lord, that we live, move, and have our being. To worship you, I live. Yes, Lord. To worship you. I live to worship you. I live, I live to worship you. And I live to worship you. And I live to worship you. To worship you I live. To worship you I live. To worship you I live. To worship you I live. I live to worship you. Yes, Lord, yes, Lord. To worship you, I live. To worship you, I live. You give every breath that I breathe and so I live. I live to worship you. After you've given me breath, I can worship you.
I can worship you.
To worship you, I live. To worship you, I live. You mean the world to me. To worship you, I live. I live to worship you. One more time. One more time. Come on, lift it up. To worship you, I live. Yeah. To worship you, I live. To worship you, I live. I live. Yes, Lord. Come on, church, let's lift it up. Come on and say, oh, yes, we cry out, oh God, God, we're hungry and thirsty for you, Lord. We cry, we cry. Oh, how we love you! How we need you! How we depend on you, Jesus! One more time. Come on, choir. We sing up. Oh, nobody greater than you, Lord. You're our strong tower. You're our great defender. Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Oh. Oh Lord, to worship you I live. To worship you I live. I live to worship you. Yes, Lord. Thank you. Oh, to worship you I Yes, I do. To worship you. I live, I live to worship you. You're the only one who matters. You're the only one who matters. To worship you. To worship you. I live to worship you. I live, I live. One more time, every hand lifted. Oh, when I can't find the words, when I can't find the words, oh, I'll raise it from my belly tonight and cry. So here I am to worship. Here I am to bow. Here I am. To say you're my God, you're altogether love, altogether worth, and altogether wonderful. Just one time through.
We gotta go.
Say, "I'll never know, and I'll never know how much it costs to see my God knows I had a lot of sins, but you took them all. You took them all. I'll never know." How much it cost you? How much? We gotta go, but can you just raise it and tell them? Say, to see you did it for me. You did it for me. One more time. How will never know? How much? To see you love. To see my sin. I'll never, I'll never, I'll never know how much it cost you, but you did it for me. You did it for me to see my sin. You got 30 seconds. Lift those hands and worship. You did it for me. You took the curse. You took my sins. You took what my mama did. You took what my daddy did, and you took it to the cross. I'll never know. I'll never know. I'll never know. So here I am to worship. Here I am to bow down. Here I am to worship. Here I am to worship. Here I am to worship. Here I am to worship. Here I am to worship. Here I am. Here I am. Here I am. Here I am to worship. Here I am to worship. Hey, here I am to worship. Here I am to worship. Here I am to worship. Here I am to worship. Here I am to worship. Yes, here I am to worship.
It's real simple, God.
Here I am to worship. This is my posture. Here I am to worship. Here I am in worship. Come on, church. Here I am in worship. This is my posture. Here I am in worship.
So Father, we tonight come with hearts, hearts filled with a degree of gratitude that words cannot express. We come tonight with hearts Filled with testimonies we can't even reveal. Ways you've made, doors you've opened, rescues you've provided. We thank you tonight for coming to our rescue every single time.
Yes, Lord.
We thank you tonight that you've been faithful to your word. And when the enemy came in like a flood, your spirit lifted up a standard against it. We should have drowned in doubt. We should have drowned in despair. We should have drowned in discouragement. But you lifted a standard up against it. Thank you for being our protector and our defender. And we just declare your name is a strong.
tower.
The righteous can run to it and we are safe. So not only do we come tonight with hearts filled with appreciation, we come with expectation.
Amen.
As we stand on the beginning of another year, we declare it's our banner year. Your word says, I believed, therefore I speak. So we speak what we believe. This is our year not of addition. This is our year of multiplication. This is not the year of steps. This is the year of leaps. We're leaping into this year. You've made our feet like hind's feet. We're leaping to the next level, leaping to the next dimension, leaping to the next chapter in your story for our life.
Woo! I thank you for a leaping anointing that's in the room. I thank you for a leaping anointing that's online. Not stepping, we're leaping. Woo!
Further, faster. Further, faster.
Further, faster. Further, faster. Do it big.
Yeah.
Do it fast. Do it big.
Do it fast. It's happening big and it's happening fast. It's happening big and it's happening fast. It's happening big and it's happening fast.
It's happening big.
Yes, God!
Hallelujah. Thank you, Lord.
Thank you, Lord.
And we won't wait until we get it to give you praise. We do it in prophetic fashion. Somebody pause and give him a prophetic praise. What you praising him for? Big and fast. Why you shouting big impact? Why you leaping big impact? If you saw what I see, if you felt what I feel, you'd be leaping too. Big impact! It's gonna be big. It's gonna be big. It's gonna be big. It's gonna be big. It's gonna be big. Thank you, Lord. It's gonna be big. Yes, thank you, Lord. Thank you, Lord. Big and bad. That was solid. You know how to get that spirit moving, Lord. Yes. Thank you, Lord.
Real quick, this is not for everybody. It's only about 30, 36 of y'all that know what to do right here. Some of you only know how to praise him with the top part of your body, but I got about 36 of you that know how to use the bottom part of your body.
And give him a prophetic praise, big and fast. Somebody praise the mighty God. It's gonna be big. It's gonna be big. I believe, I believe. I believe it's gonna be big. I believe it's gonna be big. Yes, sir! Tell your neighbor, it's gonna be big. I believe it's gonna be big. It's gonna be big. It's gonna be big. It's gonna be big. Twenty twenty three gonna be big. My life is gonna be big. I believe it's gonna be big. I believe it's gonna be big. Yes, Lord, it's gonna be here. Yes, thank you, Lord. Thank you, Lord.
With every breath that I am able, yes, Lord, oh, I will sing of the goodness of God. You will be my—
everybody, all my life, all my life, you have been faithful. All my life you have been so, so good. With every breath that I am able. Oh, I will sing of the goodness of God. Oh, come on, lift those hands. All my life you have been faithful. You've been taking care of me for a long time. All my life you have been so, so good. With every breath, every breath that I I am able. I will sing. I will sing of the goodness of God. Oh, I will sing. I will sing of the goodness of God. Of God's healing power on us. I will sing. Of the goodness of God.
Let's give a good God good praise tonight. Come on, in this room, in the virtual room. Come on, let's give a good God good praise tonight.
Thank you, Lord.
Yes, you can be seated.
Ah, yes, Lord. Um, you know, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
I'm gonna share something with you. I was on my way to church and really just thinking through all I have to— all I gotta do. And in a season where I'm having to do some things that I hadn't had to do in a long time and, um, didn't really— don't really feel particularly excited about having to do them, but I've been thinking about it and reflecting on it for a while. And, uh, just right on the way to church, the Holy Spirit spoke to me and shared something with me. It's for me, but what I've learned is even in scripture, there are times where Jesus would do something for people and he'd say, don't tell anybody.
Amen.
And then there are times where he didn't give people that instruction. And I've learned that there are certain words that are specific, but they have common or general implications. And so I'm not sharing—I'm not saying this your word for everybody—but I do know if I'm sharing it, it's for somebody. Hallelujah! And I'm gonna share with you what the Holy Spirit said to me about me, and some of you, when I say this, you're about to get a revelation. You in the same season. Holy Spirit said to me, think about all the running I'm doing. He said, this your legacy run. He said, this your legacy run. So what you do in this next season of your life is is what's going to be remembered when you're no longer here on this planet. And I know this is not for everybody, but for some of you who feel like you're in a season where you're running, you're in a season where you're overwhelmed, here's your word: this is your legacy run.
Yes, Lord!
What God's getting ready to do in this season is what you're going to be remembered For, and if people are impressed or upset now, they hadn't seen anything yet. My legacy, oh ho ho ho! My legacy run, my legacy run.
Yes, Lord. Yes, Lord. So I don't know what's in your heart.
I don't know what God's been pushing and prodding you to do.
Oh Lord, give me strength.
But it's your legacy, Mom.
Give me strength.
It's what you'll be remembered for. In Jesus' name. Amen. Well, man, I've been Excited about being here today and being in the presence of God. Clap your hands if you're glad to be in the house. Give the Lord praise for this worship team leading us in worship. Give the Lord praise for the dream team serving the house, and give the Lord praise for Change Global watching all. Just want to let you know, if you're— some of you are part of our Thrive Bible study. If you're part of my Thrive Bible study crowd, make some noise. Got about 50 of y'all. God bless you. But for those of you that are online, every first Wednesday we're gonna be interrupting your regularly scheduled Thrive Bible study because New Jersey's gonna be on I hear sirens. The fire department is on the way.
'Cause on the day of Pentecost, they were all in one place, all on one accord, and suddenly there came a sound from heaven.
Yes!
Like a rushing mighty wind. Filled the place. They were sitting and the Holy Ghost fell on them like great cloven tongues of fire.
Where is the smoking section tonight? Who about to set their whole row on fire? Yes!
Say, I got you this month. Next month I might be down, but tonight I got this whole row.
Yes, Lord. So we're excited to be here and grateful for all that God is, is doing and understand the power of, of this season that we're in and this season we're in as a, as a church family. New Year's Eve started off in an incredible way. This coming Sunday, we're going all in. Somebody say all in.
All in.
Uh, baptisms are going to be taking place, and man, I'm starting a new series. Come on, clap your hands for that. Um, I want— man, I'm in this thing, and I'm gonna be talking about it. Well, I ain't good in all of that, but I don't know, prayer has just been arresting me, like Yes!
Yes! Yes!
In such an incredible way. Um, and I don't know, I've just been in this, this weird season, and one of the things I'm learning, Rayshawn, about intercession is that your intercession, Lori, is tied to your empathy. You can never intercede consistent, or you won't intercede consistently or effectively if you're not a person that possesses empathy. It's hard to intercede for people if your heart does not break for people. And so, I thought about that when we talked about baptisms because I've been doing this, serving this church 17 years.
Yeah.
Not going anywhere, in Jesus' name. But I've seen— A couple of days ago, we were bragging on Brother Taylor. Me and Rashad were talking, and we were we were bragging on Taylor. And I remember when I first was serving the the church I was interning at in Trenton, all I saw was Miss Drusilla, Miss Drusilla, Miss Drusilla, Miss Drusilla, Miss Drusilla. And then one day up in the balcony, I saw who I. learned later to be her husband, Taylor. And I don't know how long it was that Miss Drusilla was coming to church and Brother Taylor wasn't, but I think about stories like that, how long she must have prayed. And how she prayed. And I know we hear these terms, I don't know if we quite define them enough, how she prayed through Pray through. Somebody say, pray through.
Pray through.
What does that mean, Darris? It means, it means pray through all of the things that cause you to want to not pray anymore. Because sometimes we don't feel like praying. Pray through that. Sometimes we feel discouraged. Pray through that. And one day I gave an altar call. He walked down the aisle. I want you to remember every time we have baptisms. I want you to remember that when we give our little people getting baptized. Remember some somebody's mom, somebody's husband, somebody's wife. They've been praying that they go all in, and churches. pastor in this room, online, this is a year— I need you to hear me with prophetic implications— this is a year you need to go all in spiritually.
Yes!
This is it. If you're going to multiply, you got to get the order right. You spent previous seasons chasing it, and you still hadn't caught it because the order's wrong. Good effort, wrong order. Matthew 6:33. The order is not seek only. God's not saying seek only. He's not even asking for only. He's asking for first. He says, seek first the kingdom and its righteousness, and all these things will be added. This is a year I want you to go all in spiritually. I want you to attend church consistently. I want you to implement what I've taught you regularly. I'm getting ready to start reteaching some foundational things. Time with God every day.
Yes.
Now, this is my job, so I'mma give him an hour. It's not your job. Give him the first 15. I can give him an hour, hour and a half. That might not be reasonable for you every day. But the compound effect applies spiritually. If you do a little consistently, you see more impact than doing a lot inconsistently. I'm just telling you, carnal Christianity doesn't work. It doesn't work. It ain't even worth it.
Yes, Lord. Amen.
The only thing that makes carnal Christianity worth it is Heaven when you pass away. But it makes very little difference when it comes to the quality of your life on earth. But if you will go all in, there's a level of relationship with God that is so vibrant, so fulfilling, so life-giving. life-giving, where he's speaking to you and prompting you and directing you and protecting you. I want you to go all in this year. Amen.
Amen.
So we're excited about it. We're starting a new series here on this Sunday called Cheat Code, and, uh, clap your hands for that. It's going to be absolutely incredible. Going to be a strong month. We are On January 13th, man, we are— we've got something. We're doing it in Atlanta on January 13th. We're doing it here in Ewing on February 17th. I'm going to see if some of my old school members remember this. We're doing something called Relationships Uncensored. So we'll be— and it'll be Pastor Meek and I will be doing it in Atlanta on the 13th for our global members. We'll be streaming that online, and we'll be doing it February 17th here, uh, from Ewan. We'll be streaming that online also. So if you, if you're not tapped into that, please don't miss it. It's going to be an incredible event, and, um, we're starting the year strong. I want everybody that does anything in this church at any New Jersey location to do something for God and your pastor, and that is to block out January 21st. We haven't had one of these in a long time, but every year— we used to call it back in the day a Ministry Workers Conference. Now we call it a Dream Team Summit. Clap your hands for all of the Dream Team. So January 21st, January 21st, I want you to drop that Put that date on your calendar and just carve it out. Uh, we're gonna be spending some time together, man, training and worshiping and getting poured into as we pour out to others in, uh, in Jesus— in Jesus' name. When you get better spiritually, everything gets better.
Amen.
But you cannot get better spiritually if the only thing you are is a consumer. There's a level of growth that you only tap into through serving. When you are— when you serving, you talking about character growth. You talking about the fruit of the Spirit being cultivated. You want to talk about meekness and humility?
That's humility.
That's humility. When your flesh is saying, you don't have to take this. This does not pay your bills. That's meekness. Nothing, nothing cultivates growth like that. And so, if you do anything, or if you're just interested in hearing more about, um, the vision, the vision of this house And, uh, if you're serious about making sure that, that Babylon isn't the only place that's getting your gifts— it's tight in here, Avery. What, what? That Babylon is not the only place getting your gifts, man. We want to, we want to encourage you. January 21st. What date?
January 21st.
Yeah, we're gonna, um, 10 10 AM. We're gonna start prayer though, I think at 9 AM. And, uh, how many— where are my supers? I'm scared for y'all to clap. I need more than— act like you're coming to Super Saturday. Where my Super Saturday crowd at? So anyway, gonna be, gonna be an incredible time. We're gonna start with prayer at 9. It starts at, uh, 10 AM. We're gonna be at our West Hampton location. I don't want no funny Acting this. Y'all be getting funny acting with these different locations. I don't feel like going way down there. You used to go way down to Philly to go out. I'm the bishop tonight. This the bishop, AJ. This the bishop tonight. Yeah, anything that advances you requires inconvenience. You can't improve anything if you're unwilling to inconvenience yourself. You can't improve your body if you're unwilling to inconvenience yourself. You can't improve your money if you're unwilling to inconvenience yourself. And you cannot improve spiritually unless you're unwilling to engage in what the Bible calls self-denial. Amen?
Amen.
Amen. Well, listen, man, y'all ready to go back to worship? We're gonna worship a little more. And, um, y'all know what I'm gonna do? I'm gonna finish what I didn't get to finish Sunday. So y'all getting ready to get Multiply Part 2 and a Half. I got some unfinished business. Y'all gonna get this word. I put all this sermon together. Y'all gonna get all of this. Y'all gonna get all of this. I want to get all of this. Um, I kind of feel like a little OG as a pastor now, even though I, I did— I started at like 23, so it's like I feel like an OG a little bit. And here's one of my— and now since I've been doing this a while, I'm sharing with younger leaders areas not that just I won in, that I lost in, things I would do differently. Um, because you actually grow more more by learning people's— learning lessons from people's losses. Uh, yeah, so both of us don't have to fall there. And here, if I had to do this all over again, and I'm gonna be very transparent, but sometimes when I'm transparent, y'all be judging me.
No!
Yes, you do. You do. Um, anyway, here, here's my point, guys. If there's one thing I regret, it is that I did not teach more about stewardship.
What?
I know some of y'all love that I don't talk about it a lot, but I wish I would have taught more on it. In church, we teach giving out of bucks. We don't teach stewardship.
Yeah.
Giving is only one part of stewardship. Stewardship is not just tithing, but that's all we teach. And, um, later in my ministry, the Holy Spirit kind of corrected me on that, and I saw something. I think my motives were right, my method was still a little wrong. And sometimes you got to be careful because even in your attempt to do what's right, you got to make sure pride's not driving that.
That's true.
And I think I was a little early on in ministry, I was a little— I grew up in church, so I saw a lot, so I was a little too image conscious, and I wanted to avoid being perceived a certain way. And so, I think I went too far to the extreme until I started serving people and started seeing that a lot of the stuff they was praying about could be fixed with a check.
That's good. That's so true. That's true. That's true.
It's like, man, a lot of these prayer requests I'm getting are about school and scholarships and light bills. And it's like, man, we don't really need the anointing for that. We need some money.
Right.
And what was happening was when you don't teach stewardship and when you don't teach— there's a way you can teach economic empowerment without being under the spirit of mammon. And under the delusion of a prosperity theology.
Yes.
A biblical theology includes prospering, but that is not the same as a prosperity theology.
Right.
A theology of prospering says, God not only wants me to be an intercessor, he wants me to be an answer. So while we praying about people's college tuition, that's intercession. The only way that prayer's gonna get answered is by some money.
That's right!
And so, when we understand that and get discipled in that area— sometimes in my coaching classes, I ask people, write down everything you feel like you can do good. Every gift you feel like God's given you, write that down. And then I ask, how many of those are you monetizing? See, we ain't used to this. Y'all want to go back to dancing? It's my legacy run. It's all real or nothing for me at this point. I taught you something years ago called learned helplessness. Scarcity victim mentality. The multiplier is on the inside of you.
Amen.
And, uh, this year, man, we're going to lean into this wheel. We got to lean into stewardship, management, wealth acquisition and protection. Why? Not for cars, clothes, and cribs, but to be an answer. Say, hey, can you pray with me about my bills? Nope. I'm— I can pray with you about sickness. I'm just going to give you some money for these bills. I can pray about sickness and— amen.
Amen.
And so, we're gonna go— that's one of my things I would do differently. But you can do nothing from the— nothing about the past but learn from it. It can be a prison or a school. You pick.
Amen?
Amen. All right. And so, I want you— our church not in trouble. We doing great. I'm not— I don't play these games. games, but I want you to really be serious about stewardship, uh, this year. And that begins with putting God first. Listen to me. I, I don't teach this. I've never taught this. Tithing is not a law. It's a principle.
Yeah.
It's a principle that existed before the law. And Genesis with Abraham, and it is so important to God that during the dispensation of the law, He made it law. So the principle existed before the law did, and principles have promises attached to them. Now the curse. that Malachi talks about, every curse was absorbed on Calvary. This— y'all want to go back to dancing? What are we— every curse was absorbed on Calvary. The motivation for the tithe should not be— which is a biblical principle— but the motivation for that should not be fear of consequence. It should be love and appreciation for the Father. Got me? And let's talk etymology here. The etymological roots of that word curse does not mean hex. You will see no example in scripture where God curses people. Curse means doomed for destruction. It means absent of divine intervention.
Yes.
It means God says This is an area where you have uninvited me, and if I am uninvited, I'm not saying what is or isn't going to happen. I'm saying you are at the mercy of the economy. Gosh, y'all, I get this. He says, so whatever area of your life you uninvite me in is. It's an area you better hope go well.
Amen.
And so, if you haven't committed to doing that, and I know sometimes we're— we got to do what we can until we can do what we want, but I want to encourage you to do that. And even begin tonight. Some of you, it's like, you don't have to wait till Sunday. Most of our giving at this church doesn't happen on Sundays. We teach the God first principle. So, that means that as soon as people get theirs, they give God his. I know my members. Some of them, they like, look, PD, I don't know what I'm gonna do this weekend. Let me go on and give God his right now. So they're gonna put the lower third on the screen, family, and, um, I want us— I want us— I want us to give tonight online. We get so many testimonies, and I'm not telling you where to tithe. That's between you and God. I am saying there's a biblical principle of reciprocity. At some point, you should sow back into the field you harvesting from. That if the generosity of the people in these rooms makes it possible for us to take this gospel of the kingdom all around the world, if people from right here in New Jersey 17 years ago took their gen— it's because of their generosity 17 years ago that every other location in every other city exists. They would not exist if it were not for the generosity. Burlington, which is where we started, then West Hampton, would not exist if it were not for that group of people on Pennington Avenue that moved over to 200 Ludlow Avenue. And every other location Every other place after that exists because of generosity of people who are sitting in rooms. And I'm just, you know, I'm not being harsh here, but it's a biblical principle. I want you practicing principles. And that is, if you are reaping from this field, if the Ministry of Change is blessing you in any way, at some point, periodically, would you consider sowing back into the field you harvest I feel like I preached already, guys. I'm sure you said, Pastor, you just kind of brought it all the way down. I wanted to. Um, so I want you to prepare to give. Lower Third is on the screen, online, in this room. Man, we're going to start this year strong, and we're going to open the windows of heaven. Over our life. It is so peaceful knowing that whatever door closed for me wasn't mine. Amen. Why? 'Cause heaven is open. It's so peaceful knowing that God's not correcting me, that every door that closes is not mine, 'cause heaven is open over me. Because I practice a principle that's a matter of love, not law. Amen. Come on, clap your hands as we prepare to give. Todd, I done preached already. They mad at me. Sing them back happy. I'm sorry. You anointed. You can do it.
So in the fullness of your grace and in the power of I know You can. You lift me up. So in the fullness of Your grace. Come on, sing to Jesus. In the power of Your might. You lift me up because you're the God that can do it. You lift me up. Come on, say, "You are my strength. You are my strength." I need you to receive it tonight. Come on, all over the room. Strength like no other. Come on, sing it right. Strength like no other. Oh, it reaches, reaches to me. Stay right there. You are my strength. You are my strength. Hallelujah, Jesus! Strength like no other. Strength like no other. Your strength like no other. Strength like no other. I need you to receive it tonight. Oh, we'll be changed. All over the room, let's receive it. Come on, say, in the fullness. In the fullness of Your strength. Say, in the power. In the power of Your name. Anybody grateful you serve a God that can lift you up? Come on, you live! Singing the praises of your amazing grace. Singing the power of your name. You live, you lift me up. Anybody ready to go to another level this year? Say, you lift me, you lift me up. One more time. You are my strength, you are my strength. Strength like no other, strength like no other. Strength like no other, strength like no other. And I'm grateful to the Oh, it reaches, reaches to me. We gotta go for change. Can we raise it? Say, in the fullness of your grace. In the fullness of your grace. Say, in the power. In the power of your name. What does he do? You lift me up. He refuses to let you stay down. As you lift me, lift me up. Say, in the fullness of your amazing grace, in the power of your name. What does he do? You lift me up. You're the God that lifts me up. You lift me up. You lift me up in the fullness. I thank you for your grace, in the power of your strong name. You lift me up. You're the God that lifts me. Stay right there, stay right there. You're the God that lifts me. Anybody grateful tonight that you're the God that lives? He picked me up out of that low place. You're the God that lives. Oh, you're the God that lives. Father, we give you the praise because you're the God that lives. I was sinking deep in sin, but you're the God that lifts me up. I was stuck in my low place, but you're the God that lifts me up. Oh, you're the God that lifts me up. He refuses to let me stay down. You're the God that lifts me up. Sing it tonight that you're the God that lifts me up. You're the God that lifts me up. Lift those hands in the room right now. You refuse to let me stay down. Your unfailing love It's stronger than mountains, it's deeper than oceans. This is what I love about it. It reaches to me. It reaches, it reaches to me. When I was in my low place, it reaches. When I thought nobody could help me, it reaches. When my friends didn't have an answer, it reaches. My grandma said, well, it reaches up to the highest mountain and it flows. To the lowest valley. Oh, it reaches to the highest mountain, and it flows, it flows, it flows to the lowest valley. Said it reaches to the highest mountain, and it flows, it flows, it flows.
Well, Father, there is—
there is Hey!
There is, there is no substitute for your word. Grass withers, flower fades, but your word stands forever. Anoint me in these few moments we'll share, uh, to proclaim the gospel of the kingdom to your people in Jesus' name. Amen. Clap your hands, everybody. Y'all got 15 minutes for me to give you these points?
All right.
I got to everything but my points Sunday. And, uh, I want to, I want to take a moment and give you these points. Clap your hands. Make some noise for the overflow. God is meeting you back in the overflow.
Thank you.
I want to read one scripture, guys. Hey, uh, DeShantel, I want Air Force— that's our, uh, prayer team here— I want y'all to be praying specifically. I want you to pray this until we get one: a building for our Ewing location. Pray until we get one. Um, I was praying about that this week. Um, everybody Somebody pray. Judges chapter 8, verse 22 says, the Israelites said to Gideon, rule over us, you, your son, and grandson, because you have saved us from the hand of Midian. I want to talk from the subject for a few minutes, I'm Not the Same, part 2. Somebody say, I'm not the same.
I'm not the same.
I attempted to articulate on Sunday that Gideon's story is a powerful picture of a principle we call in the coaching space a quantum leap. Somebody say quantum leap.
Quantum leap.
And the term quantum leap is borrowed from quantum physics, and it describes how a particle of matter can instantaneously leap from one space to the next. It's a picture of possibility not just for matter. It's a picture of possibility for people. Quantum leaps rest—
Yeah!
All right. Quantum leaps— Some of y'all's like, it's a mic, it's a mic. But quantum leaps rest on the revelation. Listen to this, guys. It rests on the revelation and the rejection of the notion that the only type of growth is incremental growth.
Right.
It rejects the notion that the only type of growth is incremental growth. It is a mind that is renewed from a fixed mindset to a growth mindset. Quantum leaps, an explosive leap in your personal performance that puts you far past the next logical step. It is an indication of an alternative way to move forward. It suggests that you do not have to always take steps. That some things happen in steps. Other things can happen in leaps. And 2023 is not a leap year, literally. But it can be a leap year prophetically. It can be your year to say, this is not the year where I'm taking steps. This is the year where I'm taking leaps. Am I talking to anybody that will say 2023 is my leap year?
Yes!
Taking leaps mentally, leaps relationally, leaps professionally, leaps emotionally. leaps spiritually. And Gideon's story is an example of a quantum leap. Yeah!
He changed so fast.
He goes from a man who is threshing wheat in a winepress, hiding, a man that is discouraged, a man that is disillusioned, a man that is suffering from imposter syndrome. Yes. Come on. And God sends a messenger to him while he's threshing wheat in the winepress and says, the Lord is with you, you mighty man of valor. God calls him the exact opposite of the way he's behaving. There's nothing about him that demonstrates him being a mighty warrior, but God calls those things that be not As though they were. Come on. There is nothing about his activity that is an indication that he should embrace the identity of a warrior. But you need to know, whenever you attach your identity to dysfunction, you have mislabeled yourself. Did you hear what I just said? Whenever you attach your identity to dysfunction and not the imago Dei, not the image of God, you have mislabeled yourself. And for some of you, I want you to know your behavior is lying to you. You are not what you did. You are not what you are doing. And at some point, God's going to speak to the warrior on the inside of you. He's going to speak to the alternative version of you that exists and say, I didn't call this version out sooner because it wasn't the season that demanded it.
Yes!
But now you hit a season where this version of yourself cannot faithfully steward This chapter of your assignment. So now I'm putting a demand on the other version of you, because this version of you has gone as far as it can go. This version of you has done all that it can do. This version of you has accomplished all that it can accomplish. And God says, before you can multiply it, Quantum leap. Gideon is so distraught, an angel, a messenger from God, is having a conversation with him about his dilemma. And Gideon is so upset that they in it, that he's missing, that God's trying to tell him how to change it.
Amen.
And God miraculously orchestrates a quantum leap for Gideon where he goes from threshing wheat in a winepress to leading 300 men in victory over 160-something thousand Midianites. Midianites. And in chapter 8, verse number 2, people are telling this man who just 2 chapters later— 2 chapters before was threshing wheat in a winepress— 2 chapters later, they telling him, lead us. Lead us! We not only want you to lead us, we want your lineage to lead us. We so confident. Y'all miss the implications of this, 'cause I don't have time to unpack the whole story. I preach this Sunday. It's on. But when Gideon is introduced to the assignment, his response is he doesn't come from the right lineage.
Yeah!
He says, my clan is the weakest clan. And he says, I'm the weakest in my clan. That's in chapter 6. But in chapter 8, it's amazing what he can do in 2 chapters. Y'all, I'm almost done. Y'all waiting on the good part. I'm almost done. Somebody just throw 2 in the air and say, 2 chapters.
2 chapters.
Yep. Some people's mistake is they defining you based on your chapter 6, and they have no idea what God can do in 2 chapters. Keep reading, keep looking, keep watching. I'm in my chapter 6 now, but God's getting ready to take me to my chapter 8. So he goes from my lineage is weak to people saying, we want you to lead us and your son and your grandson. I don't even have time to deal with this. Your quantum leap has implications, not just in how you see yourself. It changes how people connected to you see themselves. Did you hear what I just said? Yeah, the way Gideon talked about his family is not the way Gideon's children were gonna talk about their family, 'cause Gideon was the pivot point. Did y'all miss what I just said? Gideon was the point in his family's history where things pivoted. The trajectory was one way before it got to Gideon, but when it got to Gideon, Gideon orchestrated a generational shift. To say things were one way until it got to me, but now my assignment is to shift the trajectory of my family. I don't know who this is for. I'm just looking for the Gideons who will say, I'm the pivot point. Yeah, this stops with me. All right, I'm only going 7 more minutes. Here it is. Yeah, the way he talked about his family is not the way his family would talk about the family.
Yeah.
Because of who he became.
Yeah.
Because he let God multiply him before he could multiply it.
Yeah.
And if I had time, I'd show you all the ways God multiplied him. God, God multiplied him was by subtracting from him. Did you hear what I just said? He went to war with 300 men, but he did not start with 300 men. He started with 32,000 men. And God's like, I'm getting ready to multiply you by subtracting from you. I just want to tell somebody that might feel like I'm going through a season of Subtraction. God might just be using that season of subtraction to orchestrate a season of multiplication, because some of your peace multiplied.
That's a word.
When some things got subtracted, some of your focus. Multiply when some things get distracted, because when something— some of us can't handle addition and your assignment. When things start getting added, we start getting distracted from what we've been called and created to do. Yeah, he multi— He multiplied them by subtracting. He said, tell everybody that's scared, go home. 22,000 left. God's like, I'm not punishing you, I'm protecting you, cuz the 22,000 that left weren't assets. They were liabilities. So you would have been going to war thinking you had more than you really had. You ain't even have 32,000. 22,000 of them were scared. They were gonna run. Every loss is is not a loss. Sometimes you didn't lose what you had. Somebody need to hear this. Only got 4 minutes. Sometimes you didn't lose what you had, you lost what you thought you had. I'm getting ready to go cuz y'all tired. You done danced and you're tired. I said you didn't lose what you had cuz you never had what you thought you You lost what you thought you had, and God's like, "You thought I was doing it through what you had, but you never had what you thought you had. It's been me all along." Because every loss not a loss.
Amen.
This man goes from 32,000 to 300 and is able to lead Israel in victory over the Midianites because he experiences a quantum leap. Now watch this. Here's a principle I've been trying to teach all throughout the Greater Series. Who remember the Greater Series? Wave at me. You remember that? Clap your hands if that bless you. Here it is. Our focus as believers is not outcomes, because you can't control outcomes. You can't control harvest. You can only control sowing and if you reap. That's a— that's— I'll teach that later. That's— sowing is active. Sowing is your part. Harvest is God's part. Then reaping is your part.
Amen.
Sometimes we think sowing our part and God— no, no, No, no, God's like— see, one day, one year growing up in Mississippi, my father got bored and wanted to plant a garden. So we planted a garden in his backyard, and my sister and I learned something about sowing and reaping with the garden. I learned reaping is work. Sowing is actually easy. easier. So if you have trouble sowing— I gotta go. If you have trouble sowing, I got news for you. Sowing is the easiest part of the process. We sow, we just, you know, dig a little thing. He had to think— we just dropped a little seed and went on about our business. But reaping, we had to get baskets, we had to go out there, we We had to pull stuff up. We had to take the peas and then go back home and open the peas up and then dip them in it. Y'all aren't talking to me. When you say you want to reap, you're saying you want to work. You got to go get the harvest. I felt that when God sends the harvest, but you got to go get it. And in 2023, I'm telling you, go get it. I'm going to get it. So you control your investment; you don't control outcomes. Makes sense? You control sowing. God sends the harvest. And so it means that I can't. I can't make harvest grow. I can only do the things that produce harvest. So I can't produce a quantum leap. I can only do the things that produce one.
Yes.
So the way I get a quantum leap is not by trying to get a quantum leap. The way I experience a quantum leap is by doing the things that produce a quantum leap. So if I'm gonna multiply me, there are 3 things I see Gideon had to multiply. I'm giving them to you. I'm gonna take 5 minutes. 3 things Gideon had to multiply that we need to multiply if we're gonna multiply us. Are y'all ready?
Yes!
All right, number 1, we need to multiply our cognition. What's that? That— when I deal with cognition— see, at the end of the story, this is what you see. It was never an issue of Gideon's capability. It was always an issue of his cognition. He defeated the Midianites and did not learn one new skill.
I'm gone.
I'm gone. I said he defeated the Midianites and did not learn one new skill, which means that the skills that he needed were resident on the inside of him in latent form all along. His problem was not his capability. His problem was his cognition. It was his mindset, not his skill set. 'Cause your mindset determines if you use your skill set. Your mindset determines how you use your skill set. Some of you got a great skill set. You don't have the right mindset, so you don't sling your slingshot the right way. You half sling it. It don't even reach Goliath. Not because the slingshot won't work, but because your Your mindset is keeping you from reaching your redemptive potential. Gideon had to multiply his mindset. He couldn't get into destiny until he got out of his head. I'm out of here. But if your mind is a field, what are you planting in it?
Yes! Yes! Yes!
Am I making sense there?
Yes!
What takes your mind to the next level? What takes your mind to places of faith? What takes your mind to places of optimism? What takes your mind to places of positivity? And are you intentional about feeding your mind that every day? Because that is the process of mind renewal. Mind renewal is not magic. There is no oil that we can throw on us that renews our mind. Number 2, this is a tough one right here. His company. Y'all not— See this one right here? This painful. This painful. I'm telling you what I know. This painful. See, some of you—I learned this a while ago—and some of you in a season where maybe you've learned it too or are learning it—that some people genuinely loved you. They just loved a version of you that was not best for you. They were happy with the you you were, but you were miserable with the you you were. They love the codependent you. you. They loved the people-pleasing you. They love the hyper-generous you. They love the appeasing you. They love the boundaryless you. Which was actually who you were. It's just not who you were destined to be. And now destiny is requiring some disassociation from people, people who you genuinely love, but who are responding with hostility to the version of yourself that no longer serves them. I had a meeting earlier today, and I was telling some of our leadership team And this is a leadership principle, but applies to relationships. You have to know the difference between not giving people— you have to know the difference— you have to help people, excuse me, know the difference between them not getting what they want and them being harmed. I didn't harm you 'cause I ain't give you what you want. I'm done. I can— Did you hear what I just said? Some people will respond to you like you've done them wrong because you didn't give them what they were not even entitled to have. Tariel, I'm done. They done. I'm done. I ain't even got time, guys. I'm preaching the text. Here it is. Now the Ephraimites asked Gideon, why have you treated us like this? Why didn't you call us when you went out to fight Midian? I don't have to call you. Y'all don't want to talk to me. Do you hear them? Why you treating us like this? They are acting like Gideon fought them. him. He said, you responding to me like I did something wrong to you. I ain't call you maybe because I don't trust you, and you keep asking me questions. You're going to make me give you an answer you're not ready to handle. This too much. Y'all not— Why didn't you call me? Because you're not as good as you think you Why didn't you call me? Because me and you have 2 different opinions about your skill level. Now I'm not going to tell you who to call when you go fight, and don't you tell me who to call when I go fight. God's going to take you places where every Everybody can't be included. Did you hear what I just said? You got to make room for subtractions. Tired of playing. You doing that on purpose. We gotta, we gotta make room for that. See, I wish I was more prepared for what was waiting on me when I stepped into certain levels. Like people talk about David going from the, the pasture to the palace, but spears from Saul was waiting on him in the palace.
Yes.
You got me? So when you multiply you, it, it creates these like dynamics here where the Ephraimites were upset because Are y'all ready for this?
Yeah!
Not because they were harmed, but because they wanted to be included in a way that they weren't called to in that season. You gotta manage that. But there are gonna be some people you, you do have to call. May not be the Ephraimites, but if you're gonna multiply you, Um, I'm gonna tell you this. Most of the relationships you're gonna need are relationships you're gonna have to pursue.
Come on!
'Cause the people you need for where you going, busy.
Yeah!
I never ran into greatness that wasn't busy.
Yes.
'Cause great people have great demand. And here's some— here's some people's problem, Ray. They have such an imposter syndrome, they don't believe people when people offer them access. You'd be amazed how many times something go down with people, and I say, why I was like, ain't that many people calling me, 'cause ain't that many people got my number the way you think got my number.
Say that.
It's like, if I didn't take the call, I couldn't, but that don't mean I don't want to take your call, 'cause if I ain't want your call, you wouldn't have this number. Who— what have you not had that you could have had 'cause of somebody that meant something you ain't believe? Some of us have dealt with people who didn't mean it so long that when you run into somebody— are y'all okay being in church 2 hours on a— in the overflow, y'all going to get mad and not come back next February? Next month, February? I can't go back to that. He was preaching too long. Some of us have— I'm I'm just telling you, I've lived through this. I literally had somebody tell me this. He said, if I didn't want to hear from you, you wouldn't have my number. He said, I didn't get back to you yet 'cause I was busy.
That's right.
But some of us have been with people so long who didn't mean it. When you run into people who do, you don't believe them. The average person can't help you where you're going. Cognition, company. Number 3, conversation. Listen to— listen to the way he was talking in chapter 6 versus the way he starts talking in chapter 8. Chapter 6, he was like— it was It was defeat. It was negative self-talk. It was, I'm not this. I'm not that. And his conversation changed when his revelation changed. And some of you are abusive to yourself.
Yeah. Wow. That's good.
multiply you. You cannot level up talking down to yourself. So even on my phone, in my Notes app, I've got confessions. Culture may call them affirmations. Mine are not rooted in my wishes. They are rooted in the Word of God. We believe, therefore we speak. Confession. Homo lego. To say the same thing. My mouth says what my heart believes. So I'm to say the word, right? And so I wrote— there are 5 things that I've just written down. And I say, I wake up and I talk to God and I talk to me in the morning. I greet God and I greet the version of myself I hadn't become yet. Because I'm really hard on me. So if I don't have confessions, I will be talking down to me. But you cannot level up if you're talking down.
That's it.
We fast during Lent. Your pastor's calling a fast right now. This is— I want you to do a 30-day Stay fast from negative self-talk. Starting right now. Guys, I'm sorry I kept y'all so long.
Yeah!
I really am. I'll be thinking about that. I know some of you have to drive and— But, but I believe what I'm preaching. I believe in you.
Amen.
And the moment I stop doing that is the moment I'm going to stop doing this, and I'm going to do something else.
Amen.
And me and First Lady going to go somewhere where it's warm all the time. I'mma be 65 playing video games. Sitting on a porch pouring the rest of my life into younger leaders and entrepreneurs. But I, I know what's possible for you cuz I've seen what God's done for me, and I'm not better than you. And your problem is you think I am. Your problem is you think that because I have the gift to teach, that that somehow exempts me from all of the struggles that you go through, from all of the disappointments, from all of the self-doubt. You think he gave me something that he didn't give you, and it's not true. I have just believed something you haven't believed yet. And if I have apostolic gifting, If I have assessed my spiritual gift set properly, then like the Apostle Paul, there should be living epistles that are evidence of what God's called me to. That is you. Quantum leaps. Greatness. No limits, no boundaries. I see increase all around me. I've got to let you go. Can I pray over you before you leave? Yes. Lord, I pray for quantum leaps this year. Help us with our cognition, our, our mental attitude, our processing, our mindset. Lord, help us manage dynamics with company. Give us the courage to pursue the relationships that we need. Give us the strength to let go of those relationships that only want to relate to an inferior version of us. Amen. Lord, give us the grace to manage our conversation, our tongues. We consecrate a fast of negative self-talk. We will only say about ourselves what You say about us. Now bless us and keep us. Cause Your face of favor to shine upon us. Be gracious to us. Protect us. Provide for us. And above all else, grant us peace. This is my prayer for your life. In Jesus' name, amen. God bless you. I love you.
Follow you forward. Oh, you made all things new. Yes, you made all things new, and I will follow you forward. You make all things new. Yes, you make all things new. And I will, I will follow you. You will make all things new. You make all things new. Only you.
